681  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What can stop the Russia-Ukraine crisis. on: September 29, 2022, 09:50:11 PM

I'm amazed that anybody would think that Russian strength is so weak. If NATO is so strong, why don't they just invade Russia and put an end to all the fighting? They can't. Russia is too strong.

Russia just might become the future for all of us.

Cool
We have all the forums - discussing about Ukraine and Russia war.
There are so many other countries - where the atrocities are going on and no one is discussed it - because they believed that they deserve it - but I am glad at least EU stood up for Ukraine - although they all are in trouble too - due to lack of oil and gas.
682  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What can stop the Russia-Ukraine crisis. on: September 26, 2022, 08:17:07 PM
Think of it.. had zelensky gave up the donbask region. (Crimea was a gift to them afterall) had Putin and zelensky sat for a solution some 4years ago..

Zelensky was elected in 2019.

But this was not a feasible solution for many reasons other than calendar. Donbas is not Zelensky's to give - Ukraine is not a kingdom where the king owns the country. He (like other government officials) is constitutionally obligated to protect territorial integrity of Ukraine and to do otherwise would be treason. Also giving in to blackmail never works. You give Donbas to Putin today, he'll want Lviv, Poland, Germany, Portugal, and the state of Oregon next.

Instead of trying to appease murderous dictators we should be grateful to Ukrainians for trying to stop one.
The only peace can stop the Russian and Ukraine crisis
The leaders of each country should think about the people and the innocent lives they are killing - they affect are long lasting and there is no end to it
683  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian-Ukrainian war of 2022- ... for the salvation of the World on: September 26, 2022, 08:15:30 PM

By adopting the same method of analysis, America and the West did not win any war either. The Afghanistan war, the Korean war, and even the invasion of Iraq and the Syrian war, which both sides fought by proxy on Syrian territory.

At least, Russia can be compared to its American counterpart in that neither of them fought a war on their own soil. During World War II Russia was facing German enemy forces on its soil.

The wars you all mentioned were not during the last century, but during the previous century.
I agree what you have mentioned about American and Afghan war
What a bad day in the history of American Forces - the exit was horrible - people were sticked to the plane and they fell off the plane and died.
Now USA again wants to enter Afghanistan
684  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It's time to expel Russia from the UN on: September 26, 2022, 08:11:54 PM
Not all of the Russian people support Putin's policy, so you can't describe the Russian people as an evil people. There are Russian people who reject war and reject Putin's policy, so it's a mistake to generalize.
As for the expulsion of Russia from the United Nations, I do not think that this will solve the problem. On the contrary, it may complicate the problem because there will be no place for dialogue. In addition to all that, the United Nations is an empty organization that does not have any influence on powerful countries. It affects poor and weak countries but it cannot have any effect on strong countries.
Perhaps the solution is to sit at the negotiating table and try to find a solution that satisfies both parties without external interventions that further complicate the problem.
Like not all American support war. Like not Indian like killing of Kashmiris - like not all jews like killing of people of Palistanie
But people are not the power - it is the government which decides what they have to do. People are only to vote and set aside
685  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Corruption ok on: September 26, 2022, 08:09:45 PM
Corruption is a nature of man just as lies.  Their is no man without lies same thing with Corruption but it doesn't mean we have to take corruption as a lifestyle. Curuption is bad and dangerous.  Any country that takes corruption as away of life always produce outcomes,  nothing good to talk about it.
There are the rules and regulations in every country about corruption but devils never stop to gain it. And these are the people which are destroying the system. Every government should make the strict rules about corruption. And should punish the culprits.
everytime you would do something bad - it would surface soon or later.
Keep set standards of life and do not compromise on them whatsoever
686  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Power Or Money ? on: September 26, 2022, 08:08:34 PM
It's a difficult question. You can earn money from a power but you also have more power using money. I'll choose money because money will help you make friends with power people
Money is just everything.  Money can bring you power , with money power can be earned . I don't think it is possible to have power without having money . Money is powerful than can give birth to power and everything.
Out of power and money - I would choose Money
i dont want power I just want to have my own private beautiful life.  . . power is expensive and it would end soon.
SO I prefer to be powerful by having  money may be 10 million dollar
687  Other / Politics & Society / Re: At what point will one say that he or she has had enough money? on: September 26, 2022, 07:25:14 PM
Do you think people can ever say that they have enough money??? money is never enough. the more you have, the more you need

Money is never enough for human. The richest man in the world is still striving harder to get more money for any one not to get more than what he has.  The truth is that their is no point that one can consider money to be enough.
With the advancement in technology - no amount will be enough
Everytime one get to have some contentment - iphone next jumps into the market
or there is new style furniture - some people are too materialistic they can go to an extreme for anything. even they can scam people.
688  Other / Politics & Society / Re: At what point will one say that he or she has had enough money? on: September 25, 2022, 10:31:51 PM
The quest for money has to do with what people think money is. Is money those little pieces of paper people stick in their wallets? Is money those little coins people stick in their change pockets... and often into parking meters? Or are these mediums of exchange simply the easy way to do value and property transfers?

There isn't a lot one can do with the stuff we call money, except to trade it for things that have value. Can you eat a dollar bill if you are hungry? Perhaps. But is there as much nutritional value in it as there is in a dollar's worth of bread? Money doesn't really have any value in itself. All the value that money has is perceived value. Money doesn't really have more value than the tiny bit you can get from the paper and ink that make it up.

I would suggest that real money is anything of value... real value. I would say that real money is all the things that you use to make your life easier to live... or livable at all in the first place. Why? Because everything we do in life is a medium of exchange. If we eat food, we change the food into aspects of living. And there is part of the food that our bodies naturally discharge as unfit for the purpose of life. In other words, there is exchange involved, and food is the medium.

A person can only live so much. A billionaire can't live in all his homes at the same time. He can't drive all his cars and trucks at the same time. He can't fly in all of his airplanes at the same time. Having/owning multiple homes and vehicles might be an advantage for him in certain situations or circumstances. But they might wind up being excuses for him to actually set up circumstances or situations so that it looks like he has a need for all these homes and vehicles.

Much money is a form of advancement. At least, many people think that it is. So, for them (most of us) basic money is so that we can live - food, clothing, shelter, etc. Anything beyond basic money is so that we can be praised for having more than somebody else, and for being able to manipulate life so that we can advance beyond others. It's a pride and success thing.

Cool
I agree with you  the quest of money has to do with what people think money is //when you gain money your  longing for the money increases
everyday the  need for the money  increases and there is new luxury which comes to the wish list.

The banker said, "That is how it works."

Cool
Can you gave a one liner summary of what this post is about.
I want to know that. But seriously it is to long to understand what is means.
690  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Death of Queen Elizabeth II: Bitter Sweet News for King Charles III on: September 25, 2022, 10:24:42 PM
The whole death of Q. Elizabeth has been made into a marketing campaign for this anachronic institution that maintains a number of privileges to a particular family in a country that, otherwise, is democratic. An absolutely disgusting 24h cycle of news showing how "most British"  loved the Queen and how "deeply affected" are about it.

It is really sad to see how even the tax law has been modified so that the Kings and Queens do not have to pay a tax, that BTW is 40% for anyone else above a threshold.
qeen lived her life like a queen
the fairy tale ended. Now charles is old too - to enjoy the authority - the rich people enjoy all the luxuries of the world. They live the life we dream of.
691  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Rumor check] Chinese President Xi Jinping under house arrest? on: September 25, 2022, 10:22:09 PM
You don’t house arrest dictators. They would either be imprisoned or assassinated.
China often imposes a "house arrest" on political dissidents. This is a way to make it appear the person is not being imprisoned, while still restricting their freedoms, and being able to monitor their communications with others (so these people can be "kept in line").

I don't think there is any kind of Coup going on in China right now, as this is not being reported by any reputable news sources. However, if this were happening, I think Xi being under "house arrest" would likely be a first step.

I also know that Xi has a very tight grip on the CCP and the Chinese government. His loyalists are in positions of authority.
I think it is rumour - there is no news on our local new channel like this
I wish there the war in the world to stop and give time to help the  hurting world with healing.
692  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will Investing Help the Economy of a Country on: September 19, 2022, 08:26:04 PM
I am not sure about the investing and helping the country economy - but  the youngest of my country has brought huge revenue by freelancing and youtubing.
And freelancers are exempt from taxes too.
I don't know which country you are from, but freelancers in the country where I live will also be taxed if the amount of income can be very large and is known by the local government, as well as youtubers who are now also subject to taxes and other things the same goes for crypto traders who often use local exchanges to trade, they are also taxed here.
There are many countries which has made freelancers tax exempt - I think they are from south asian countries
The freelancing has opened the new doors for people and they no longer run with the cv for the work - rather they are their own boss and they are happy with it
693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for newbie to long-term investing on: September 18, 2022, 11:32:34 PM
BTC, ETH and ADA are great choice to picks. ADA would be difficult to maintain on long-term but both BTC and ETH are great choices regardless of the event situation right now. Just collect up  your salary to these picks like what you are currently doing right now and keep stacking up those coins, since these two will still be strong in the future, so won't be hurt to hodl it.
I agree about choosing BTC and ETH. But ADA seems not a really good choice for long-term holding. In my own view, ADA price doesn't increase very significantly, the price move of this coin looks rather slow. I think it is better to exclude ADA and choose BNB coin, BNB seems more convincing to buy and hold long term. BNB is the coin from the biggest exchange in the world (Binance) that has many functions, and it also has a burning program. Burning program will decrease the number of BNB supply and increase the value significantly.

I met an 8 grade student last night and he said I am investing my small savings in ETH and BTC
for a moment I was shocked and looked at him. If he is smart for invest at this age - what is he going to do when he will grow up. Kids are getting very smart these days
694  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: September 16, 2022, 07:48:38 AM
I think being an entrepreneur requires a lot of patience, for me, who works in an office with a monthly salary that is often lacking, it will be difficult to become an entrepreneur who is more suitable for those who are already in the financial security zone.
Anyone can become an entrepreneur, they don't have to be big financially, they all come from small, which will later grow to be big, that's why there are many processes that occur, so I think even though we are financially supportive, but our expertise in the field we are living, we don't understand, then it won't work. well, all entrepreneurs will prefer where they have mastered everything, so they can do it without having big financial capital.

Working in an office does have a salary, it depends on the place where we work, but what is certain is that the salary of an office will not exceed the income of an entrepreneur because he is the boss and he will get all his income.

Anyone can do it myself. I work in an office that is still running, while entrepreneurship is still in the process stage to show that I can become a successful entrepreneur.
Job and business both side by side.
I started a small business by investing in Airbnb and it was good before COVID and then Coivd hitted me hard on my face and my business was in loss.
So I switched to my old job for the money - so that I don't not panic at the last moment when I have to pay the rent.
695  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: September 16, 2022, 07:43:44 AM
I have many friends who are always actively participating in self-development seminars for success and have passive income, but for almost 4 years I have seen no significant developments, on the other hand I also have friends who are not educationally good but whose wealth continues to increase and already have dozens of employees even though he's only in the fruit and vegetable business.

I see the difference there coz I've seen people like these too.
I have seen people who has been actively participating business seminars and other stuff like that and dressed formally. While the other are just selling fruits and vegetables in the market. In comparison, the person who's actually doing business in the market selling fruits and vegetables made a significant and noticeable achievements.
There's a difference between "trying to become successful" than "doing the actual work to become successful".

If you want to grow - it is very important for your to know what is going on in the market and no one will come give you lesson.
you have to do it yourself.
It is a good idea to take a break from everything after 6 months and learn some new- its always a good idea to make an investment in yourself.
696  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: September 16, 2022, 07:40:37 AM
I am confused. Why energy prices are so high in France? As far as I know, the French get around 70% of their energy from nuclear powerplants (and I am sure that they have spare capacity as well). They are not very dependent on natural gas. So why the prices are going up there?
Without looking for further sources, I can think of 2 reasons: many of the nuclear plants were in maintenance, and the European electricity market doesn't end at national borders.
~~~
Wikipedia says that nuclear power generation in France has decreased from 379.5 TWh in 2018 to 290 TWh in 2022, since a number of plants closed down due to maintenance to stress corrosion (32 out of a total of 56 nuclear reactors are not in operation now). Électricité de France (EDF) owns the nuclear power plants in France and manages them, and is 85% owned by the French government. Even then, it is not a fully government owned entity, they can't insist on selling all the electricity that is generated within France.
Now there will be more climate change issue with this burning and cutting wood.
The EU countries are in sever trouble by putting the sections on the Russia. Russia hold the key to oil and gas so they have an edge. Ukraine got help from everyone and now who is going to help EU? The survival without oil and fuel is impossible.
697  Economy / Economics / Re: Flood causing economics crises on: September 16, 2022, 07:37:10 AM
As you know flood its part of world unfavourable environment. its has bundle of other reaction not in specefic area but around ecosystem. is flood fetching changing in economics? if yes but how!!!!!
For sure it has an impact, specially countries that are not prone to flood and suddenly there is a heavy rain so they don't know how to react.
And then the whole farming industries is the first one to get him and then everything will trickle down, prices increases around the world. But there could be solution for government, to import commodities, but it the end if could harm them too. So it's like everything is connected right now, floods destroying crops, businesses stop, houses destroys, people will have to lived in the street, food shortages.
The flood are horrible I have got this image from internet - and this has moved me.
One of the images of FLoods in Pakistan - if sand has reached to the roof, imagine  what would be the water level?
Hello, the community I am a person asking how I can fetch better improvements in the country's economy.
I have a Pakistani friend - who told me - that during COVID there was no jobs and people were laid off from their jobs, most of them started leaning freelancing.
and during the fiscal year 2020-2021 the freelance brough 3 billion revenue to the country.
Try to be an influencer tell people how they can earn money. Which region are you from?
699  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the european housing market is about to crash on: September 05, 2022, 08:42:16 PM
Curious that the title talks about the European real estate market, when the article talks about the UK, which is physically in Europe but has never been characterized by a Europeanist sentiment.
The 50-year mortgage is crazy, we agree, 15 or 20 years at the most is the most financially sound, because as the article explains, you spend the first years paying interest and not amortizing at all. The longer the term of the mortgage, the longer it gets.
But I don't think this is widespread in Europe. I have no news. The maximum is 40 years depending on age and after the 2008 crisis the banks learned their lesson and no longer give you 100% mortgages. So if you sign a mortgage of 200.000€ you have to put down at least 20.000€, depending on the bank and your situation. Some will ask you for €30,000 or €40,000, so you are already starting with equity and even if you amortize little at the beginning, you are adding equity.
If I can believe that there will be a crash, I think it will be due to the general economic situation. If due to inflation people consume less, companies start to have problems and lay off workers, obviously people will have less money or access to credit to buy a house, and some of those who pay mortgages will not be able to meet their payments.
Europe has jumped in the crisis after jumping in Russia and Ukraine war.
In pursuit to destabilize Russia - all those countries are in deep trouble now - winter is already there - and now they will be in more trouble due to less oil and gas supply. To me they have made very bad decision
700  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: September 05, 2022, 08:38:38 PM
most people don't even save much to invest?
We know that savings arent really just for the means or investment but rather for emergencies and other means or simply people do only just love to have more fiat into their bank accounts that had been saved.
Rich mindset will really be always prefer on making more money via investment and since they are financially capable then they do always have the advantage since they could really make those actions
since they do have money to be spent unlike into those poor ones who doesnt have or limited which it would really be a difference but being poor doesnt mean that it would really be
a hindrance on making yourself improved.Its up on personal choice!
Some people are too poor with the finances - and they spend all the money in hand and look on other people valuet for the rest of their time
on the other hand there are people who manages their finances very well - and they are the winners both in personal and professional life.
To me rich mindset is managing your finances well and maintain a balance in spending and earning
