Why is it that most people only start asking the obvious questions after they got robbed, instead of before deciding to invest? It's the same as new altcoins being sold via ICO. To anyone believing the "hack" story:
Now would be the perfect time for hashie and/or bbit to come clean with the mining addresses. If their Bitcointalk accounts are also compromised they can create new ones and post a signed message. Any other mining proof, such as details on hardware and hosting would help as well of course. They should have backups of data to recover from even if the site is lost irreversibly. If the hardware is still there then the majority of investments is protected.
Even if hashie is a ponzi but has been hacked, presumably they would have most of their funds in a cold wallet, so they could still come here and offer a recovery plan, although it's hard to see the incentive for doing so.
Since none of the above is happening one can only assume: a) a premeditated scam with a weird twist; or b) a hack that has become a good opportunity for the operator(s) to disappear with what's remaining.
If anyone can see this in any other light - please share.
+ 1 What makes me wonder is, like you said, that they don't appear and tell what happened. But I still see no reason for that drama instead of just saying "we were hacked and your money is gone". Even if it won't be the truth. |

So I found a total of 62 coins? But I only got about 14 coins by joining the pool. Is it worth to try solo mining? My hashrate is only ~40k/s in total.
Also, my wallet had balance about 15 coins but no stake. Should I keep the wallet open to get the stake? I am not quite understanding the POS. Thanks.
In order to stake (PoS) your coins need to have a maturity i.e. 5 hours or 30 days. Solo mining with the total hashrate is like solo mining Bitcoin with 10 GH/s. You CAN find the winning ticket but there is no huge chance. |
