701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here has the most Bitcoin? on: January 13, 2017, 11:05:55 AM
I'm sitting on a good amount.  Wonder if I have more than anyone else, or not.   If nobody has close to my amount I might keep my mouth shut.  lol
How much you have which you are claiming to be good amount?
I don't think any big holder will feel comfortable disclosing how much they hold because it will increases security risks for him. People use bitcoin to remain anonymous so there will be no point for most of us to reveal number of bitcoins we hold or anything that is linked to us.  Wink

you can check https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html to find out which address own maximum bitcoin.
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will die soon if happen with every Bitcoin users? on: January 12, 2017, 03:42:35 AM
Try to pay atleast 0.00015BTC in fees these days if you want faster confirmation, use web wallets like blockchain.info which will suggest you fee so that your transaction will get confirmed within next block or https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ can help you find what is enough fee depending upon your transaction size. Don't try to save few pennies.... Grin
703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese Bitcoin Exchange Inspections Cause Price Drop and FUD on: January 12, 2017, 03:35:04 AM
Chinese pump the bitcoin from $700+ region to $1100+ within few weeks before new year
Chinese traders/Exchange owner sold bitcoin at $1100+
They made contact with PBOC to start investigation, to create panic so that they can buy back cheap bitcoin again at same $700+ level.

Now they will start buying back, all panic traders have given their hard earned money to those chinese whales.
BULL TRAP
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the existence of possible bank will be replaced by bitcoin? on: January 10, 2017, 05:12:00 PM
Banks may not get disappeared even if bitcoin get accepted as currency in most of the country. As bitcoin can't be regulated by government, they will not use bitcoin or accept it as national currency over their fiats. In future, bitcoin may get bigger portion of daily financial transaction which may not be bigger than what bank will be handling at the same time.

Banks are in existence for centuries and it will not be easy for any thing to take position of banks.

705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make Blockchain Transfer Fee 0.00009 BTC And Save On Transfers on: January 10, 2017, 04:03:17 PM
Real example - I sent 0.0001 BTC with 0.00009 BTC transfer fee and receive after 24 hours.
please give your transaction id so we can verify this on blockchain.
I think you only had one input in this transaction and only one/two output so that your transaction get confirmed within 1 day but this can't be case for others if size of transaction is bigger than yours. We can't generalize the situation...
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there difference between Bitcoin and liberty reserve? on: January 10, 2017, 03:54:40 PM
What is the difference between Bitcoin and Liberty reserve? Hope Bitcoin will not end up like Liberty reserve?
Bitcoin - Decentralized, it will have records/ledger distributed all over the world with different individuals so whatever bitcoin an address hold will remain same for many years till real owner of that address transfer it out from it.

Liberty reserve - Centralized payment processor so all account and user details are stored in one database or datacentre which can go down or taken down by government/FBI/Cybercrime within few minute, and same happened to LR before which made many people to loss billions of their hard earned cash.

Bitcoin will not end up like liberty reserve or it can't be taken down by government just like they have taken down LR.
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If the mining profits decrease, will Bitcoin end? on: January 09, 2017, 03:13:56 PM
When mining reward will be lowered down, it will limit the supply of bitcoin which can boost price per bitcoin so mining will be profitable even with low block reward. Also in future efficiency of mining hardware will be high which will minimize the cost of running mining hardware.

Fee bitcoin may have in future will be still far lower than traditional centralized payment processors so bitcoin will be preferred due to low fee on that time. Also bitcoin have many advantages over other payment processors beside low transaction fee, i think demand will keep on increasing for bitcoin rather than getting lowered down.
708  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why christmas? on: January 09, 2017, 03:03:09 PM
I agree on you that we see spike on bitcoin price during end of every year but i don't think any of the reasons you have written down are the real reason for this spikes. One reason could be People/Whales manipulating market to grab quick profit with big pump and dump to spend on new year celebration  Grin
709  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How does freebitco.in sites work. on: January 07, 2017, 04:16:06 PM
I think the safe always wins. They don't distribute more than the money their earns. In fact, the values we have entered have no meaning.
They have really high house edge of 5% so basically it means yes there is high chance that they will be earning lot more than what other casino site could earn. This also means there is high probability that each results may favor house/freebitco.in so players will loss more there playing than in any other casino.

They never disclose how much they earn from ads so hard to find out how much % they are giving out for free from what they earn.

710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm doing a study on Bitcoin on: January 07, 2017, 04:07:10 PM
There are few benefits that any business can get by accepting bitcoin as payment method;
1. Lower fees in transaction, unlike cards shops/merchants don't have to pay any fees while accepting bitcoin.
2. Even local store can accept bitcoin payment with the help of their personal laptop/tablet or phone thorough web wallets, so no cost of POS machines.
3. Bitcoin payments are irreversible so they don't have to face any charge-backs later on.
711  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Is trezor the safest way to keep coins!? on: January 07, 2017, 12:17:20 PM
paper wallets are complete free while Trezor costs ~$100 and if stored properly paper wallets are even safer than trezor or any other hardware wallet.
I also recommend paper wallets for non techy guys or who can't afford to buy trezor and have doubts about how to use those hardware wallet.
Generate paper wallet in offline computer (run bitaddress.org github file/site) and never connect that computer to any wifi or ethernet. Print that paper wallet in offline printer and put it in safe place. Only import those address in lightweight or web wallet when you want to send those bitcoin out.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is having the whole blockchain better for me? on: January 07, 2017, 12:10:49 PM
Thanks :-)

You mentioned bitfinex      I'll check it out.
Mat bitstamp also be worth looking at?
Bitfinex can be trusted again after they got hacked recently which was really huge  Huh Undecided
I will rather say look at bitstamp and other trusted exchanger but there is no guarantee that bitfinex or any other trading platform will never get hacked in future. Only put bitcoin in those platform when you are about to exchange, when you are just holding hold them in cold storage.
713  Economy / Speculation / Re: The China Effect on: January 07, 2017, 11:34:14 AM
And this leads me into thinking...is Bitcoin now tied to China and is there something we can do about it?
I have also started thinking like this recently, price is dumping really hard just after Chinese yuan become stronger against USD which nobody have ever predicted before. There is only small rise in yuan value but that created the current chaos. However i am quite confident that this dumps are only temporary one and we may find $900 as new floor after this drama end.
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: January 07, 2017, 11:30:36 AM
I mostly use web wallet specially blockchain.info web wallet and mobile wallet. However i try to keep proper backup of my wallet as well as i have saved private key of bitcoin address i have in blockchain web wallet.

I also have lightweight desktop wallet (electrum) but i don't use it too often.
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the community is looking for about bitcoin on: January 06, 2017, 03:41:35 PM
What do you think newcomers, intermediate or a pro like to read about bitcoin in a guide of 10 pages or more?
Newcomers => How to earn few bitcoin for free, how bitcoin actually works and how to create bitcoin wallet.

Intermediate => What is bitcoin and altcoin trading, how fee for transaction is calculated, How actually bitcoin mining works etc.

Pro => Resources which could be helpful for trading, how to work with trading bots, bitcoin related business ideas and potential new areas of bitcoin application.
716  Economy / Services / Re: Own Coin running. Only for knowledge. Need help [0.01BTC]for help on: January 06, 2017, 11:46:43 AM
Here is link which i have bookmarked in past, it have collection of all the links and resources needed to start own bitcoin/litecoin clone
https://forum.gethashing.com/t/how-to-clone-a-coin-links-and-resources/3833

It have included almost all steps required however i don't think it is quite easy job. You can try to understand and it might be helpful if you just like to learn how to create own crypto.
717  Economy / Services / Re: bustabit.com clone on: January 06, 2017, 11:35:31 AM
Does this script really works? I don't think bustabit.com script is opensource  Huh Roll Eyes

The following sites have bought a non-distributable copy of
bustabit source, which makes them exempt from AGPL requirements,
that was required in an earlier, open sourced version of the game.

718  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is BTC going to crash again like in 2014?? on: January 05, 2017, 04:06:49 AM
Situation and adoption level is not like in 2014, people now understand much better about bitcoin and demonetization have triggered people to search for safe place to store their wealth beside gold and bitcoin came to them as good alternative.

I will say we will see $2000+ by end of this year or even earlier, i don't think price gonna get correction below $1000 from this point. In 2017 price may stay well above $1000 but if it goes below than that i will buy bitcoin with all my cash i have in my local bank.
719  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Idea for Bitcoin Faucet on: January 04, 2017, 09:08:03 AM
I don't think running faucet is still profitable because most of the faucet are subject to bot attack as well as there is no any good bitcoin adnetwork that pays well.

However, there are few things you should consider on making your faucet;
1. Don't put too high reward for small time difference, try to find suitable number of satoshi that will be profitable for both you and your users.
2. Try not to have multiple ads from same adnetwork all over your faucet, use multiple adnetwork.
3. Try to submit your faucet in multiple faucet rotators to get extra/free traffic.
4. Have good referral commission but not make it too high that can attract bot attacks.
5. Try to use good, short domain and good hosting for your faucet.

6. Last but not the least, try to actively promote your faucet in multiple places and keep good track of your profit and expenditure.
720  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Just Reached An All-Time High On BTCC's CNY Exchange on: January 04, 2017, 08:59:40 AM
What's next. Moar up or time to dump?
Better to hold, it seems there is no any hope for dump/correction right now. Price is pumping really hard even though it have crossed long waited $1000 per coin range. We may see new ATH, so hold till we get new ATH price which should be >$1100.
