So, I have only 1 28 Mhs miner. I am able to mine 400 NLG/day. I hope that Digishield wont change that, because that will have a reverse effect that you expect! Miners will leave if the diff will go higher then 1000 and wont come back, because that wont be profitable even with someone with free electricity!
Hope I am wrong and I can have near the same amount after digi kicks in!
Expectation is that after Digi it will be more profitable for dedicated miners, because multipools will leave and lower the difficulty because of that. To add to this, I'm currently renting a LOT of hashes to keep the negative effects of Clever down. If multipools drop from the chain after the switch I will also reduce the hashes I rent to make things more profitable for dedicated miners. |

If all the pools are updated, the old versions won't process transactions any more, right? So, that should not be a problem then.

There is less then 5 people sitting with 95% of the coins including the foundation and the original scam devs that created the coin. Check their impressive Bittrex stats, a lot of EFL ready to be dumped: https://beta.bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-EFL&tab=distribution They say they want to use the coin as a "savings" plan (read: store of value). But they don't seem to grasp the economy around it (I asked them multiple times, no answer). You need a solid bid order book for that, which they lack (or some other value insurance). Combine this with the "pump"-posts and other not so nice posts on their own forum, I would say stay away from it. The situation with EFL is now that a few entities contain almost all coins (which they paid a lot for to pump the exchange rate) and need to trick (nicest word I could find to describe this) people into buying them (with a coin that provides no added benefit over the hundreds of other coins), because else they are stuck with their overpriced coins (because they are the ones themselves who buy them). There is always a way to bypass the current buy-options any service offers. We can make a service that can top-up OV cards or a place to buy 'anonymous' cards topped off in certain amounts. Only problem with topping up cards hooked to people's names and bank accounts = privacy concern because you would need to know some touchy information to be able to do that, which comes with a few laws to reckon with. BUT it is a good idea and worth looking into.
EDIT: I just checked it and it is possible to top up cards hooked to people's names. Apparently all you need is the unique card number to send money to a card to top it up.

I have multiple anonymous OV-chipcards in my wallet (and use cash to charge them). Would be great if you could send empty ones to some place and order there a new one (which is pre-charged). Even the intrinsic value of the card (the 7,50 euro's that you use to buy them) could be refunded, based on the remaining age of the card (expiration date is on the back). And by using the card all over the country, it will be very hard for TLS to trace the card to a person. I know when I was living in australia they offered business that sold top up credits for (transport) smart cards a % cut of the value topped up, if they offer it over there could start up a website doing top ups, offer half of discount to customers as discount for using NLG and the other half for costs to run the site. also could work for top up credits for prepay phone vouchers, this way you offering a discount by not costing you anything <edit> telcos would be another idea You can't give people discounts. Topping up €20 the card, actually costs €20. Discounts will put you out of business real fast. The OV-chipcard is a state-approved private monopoly. What you pay, is what you get (well, actually you get less, but nobody complains about that). |

Is there a reason why the iOS app is only available in the Netherland's app store? May be they want to launch there first. As far as I understood from Rijk legal issues / policy from Apple prevent release in other countries. |

That is a nice project for the premine, I think. LTEX can explain maybe. I think it should not be used for that. That project is more or less already running, so the financing for that should be sorted out already a long time ago. It isn't running at all, it's only been announced. With "more or less already running" I meant that all the details have been worked out (financial wise), else you wouldn't announce it. That having said, if they run out of "kwartjes" because the project is so successful I wouldn't mind giving them a little part of the pre-mine, but my opinion is that they have thought it out very careful and don't need it at this point. |

Investor money is great, but you need to have a plan to spend it before you get it, and once you have a plan you need to have the gears already in motion so that everything is simply waiting for the money drop. Investors aren't usually going to just throw money your way without an appealing plan which returns their money with a worthwhile profit.
Which is why I say we get together in Amsterdam and discuss all this over a beer or two.  -Fuse I'm in Me too! You know what they say: one, two, many.... If you take up the first two, I'll pay the rest DEAL! All I need now is for someone to pump the price of NLG to around a dollar, and then get an airline to take NLG so I can get there -Fuse You should be able to BUY an airplane with NLG when it hits 1 USD. |
