701  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Attitude towards BCT automation? on: December 15, 2016, 06:51:29 PM
Instead of wasting your time with the current unofficial API , I guess It would be better If you work with the new forum software API : http://epochtalk.org/api.html , that could save you a lot of work since we may switch to the new forum soon.

Will we switch to a new forum software? That is new for me. In this case, I really should look forward. Thank you for the information! Still, I think the old API will be helpful since maybe I can adapt its features to the new forum software with some modding. That depends on how the creators of the original API wrote it, though.
702  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Attitude towards BCT automation? on: December 14, 2016, 06:47:31 PM
Hello! Some forums support, others accept or disallow automation in them. I heard about auto-bump bots and similar on BCT already so I guess BCT is either supports or accepts such automation even though I have not heard about a BCT API yet. Is there an official BCT API? Is creating custom APIs and similar automation/automation-supporting tools allowed for BCT?

AFAIK there's no official API, only unofficial one.  Pretty sure creating your own tools for whatever it is you want to do is allowed too as long as it doesn't break the rules.

Thank you! Finally, an API in Java. Java is a programming language that I have used a bit already. I feel glad because the creator made it open-source so that I do not have to write everything from zero. Unfortunately, the example pages seem to be broken, but I am sure I will still find the source code helpful when I make the time to check it. I will have to develop it further anyway because there will be some custom features that will be unique. So, overall I can state that creating custom APIs and similar are not against site policy, can't I?

704  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin address rating system on: December 13, 2016, 08:27:00 PM
It is exactly what Vod said. It is too much work to create rating system for addresses and goal still won't be reached. So why bother?
I am not against serious rating system in general, but certainly don't want to use it with bitcoin addresses, can we base it on something else?

Yes, BTC users who have had legit behavioral features for some time would wish to see their honesty appreciated, I think. Alot of people are not afraid to scam because they could easily disappear without consequences. Allowing users to take responsibility will lead them prefer honest behavioral more. Such a system needs a through-out thinking, though so I will leave this project for later. In the meantime, I will think of something else I could base the system on, but which could help improve honesty among crypto users.
705  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What payment processors do you use? on: December 12, 2016, 09:11:52 PM
Thank you for your replies! I especially feel thankful because you pointed out the importance of APIs. Providing a stable API is very important feature of a provider. Maybe, the provider's site is clean and secure, but above a certain level API usage becomes more important because of the development of business applications, system integrity and automation. I think, anyone who was looking for payment processors got some info on them already from this discussion so I am closing this now. Thank you for your help!
706  Bitcoin / Project Development / What do you security test/monitor your site with? on: December 12, 2016, 09:06:35 PM
Hey!

Do you have someone to review your site from security viewpoint or do you use automated software to do it for you?

If the previous, where do you find this person? If the latter, what software would you recommend?

Let us turn this into a discussion so please attach your arguments too!
707  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for 1-4 high-end Bitcoin users on: December 11, 2016, 08:58:29 AM
...and they have the least amount because they were stolen many times before, that is why they are cautious. But putting aside the joke, what the description reminds me of the requirements of an official business registration at the court. In order to register a business, in most countries you have to show that you have a certain amount of capital. I can understand that and the other requirements too (like the amount of people you can or you must work with), but taking that into consideration, you may think again of sharing more information as to register such a business you will have to PRECISELY describe it in an official document and probably you will not be able to keep the concept (at least the basics) in secret anyway.
708  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MiniFaucet Script (a MyFaucet replacement) on: December 10, 2016, 06:23:00 PM
Could you write a ReadMe for this project? I am aware of the count of people who knew and loved this project before, but I have difficulties understanding how this script is different than others that I have found so far. I am sure about that you did not write this script with no reason and people love it with good reason, I am just asking you to sum up the advantages of this script.
709  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Mobile phone on: December 10, 2016, 06:08:47 PM
I am looking for Windows phone at the first place, but practically, any phone would do that I can replace the OS with Windows on, even better if you are willing to replace it for me before shipping. I am aware of the fact that I am taking a serious risk by buying a phone for crypto on an online forum lol, but to be honest I expect this risk to appear in the prices too if you understand what I mean (:

I have used xiaomi note , let me know if you're interest as I'm going to sell it anyway and replace with new one

Ofcourse another xiaomi  Smiley

I have not even heard of Xiaomi before lol. However, I did some research and found good enough description and opinions on it. Although I wrote that I would search an unused and Windows phone at the first place, assuming that the phone is physically undamaged, may I ask can I replace Android with a Windows installation in this phone? How much are you asking for with shipping (to a Balkanac country)? You could send your answer to the latter in PM if you do not want to reveal it to the public.
710  Economy / Lending / Re: Need $6 Loan on: December 09, 2016, 09:00:08 PM
I am sending my help along with my best wishes at this very moment. I will help you out and I let you keep your account by all means. I consider your attitude quite honest and I more often than not have valid consideration about people's attitude by heart.

UPDATE: Enjoy your fresh BTC (: I think, you asked for it with good reason.

711  Economy / Goods / [WTB] Mobile phone on: December 09, 2016, 08:50:58 PM
Hey!

I am looking forward to buying a new mobile phone and since I saw so many sellers here I thought why not to try to find an appropriate offer in this forum.

I would need an undamaged, unused Windows phone with big screen. I will want to use it for software application testing so that I will not have to run uber slow simulations in a VM to test my mobile applications. It must have enough power to smoothly run the mobile version of major exchange sites / applications.

I give you more freedom in offering as I am collecting idea and price/value pairs now, I will want to use some time to decide.

Oh, and the seller must be able to ship for free or low price to the Balkan (:
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain for airport?!! on: December 09, 2016, 08:41:10 AM
I would use a hotel that accepts BTC as payment, where I could book room beforehand and execute deal online carrying only the payment proof with me. However, it would be a great challenge to keep the hotel's good reputation inbefore criminals move in as they did at many hotels that did not require that much validation, but cash.
713  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What DB do you use at your end? on: December 08, 2016, 10:55:51 PM
I am glad because I have not closed this discussion yet lol. Thank you Rick Storm for enlightening me about this matter! I think, you could do this "tagging" with triggers. You could define the block height as a custom condition in a trigger and in the trigger set a savepoint where data is stored too. I too am not sure about how you could "tell the DBMS" to do that so I would be thankful if someone attached some example in any SQL.
714  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain is your Friend | IDEA OF BF on: December 08, 2016, 10:46:42 PM
Thank you! I have a very good concept to bring this product to you. Almost started implementing it this week, but always had to manage some Uni matters. If you are really interested in this project, I will create a prototype soon.

I think it should be in project development section(?)

Well, this is will be nice to see an AI which can simplify the work. But the developing is should do hard work to teaching the bot completely, also for avoiding some shitty question which possible asked by people.

Avoiding shitty questions will be a challenge, but I think I will manage. I put this discussion here because I want to see how much attention this project could get as a commercial product. I have not decided about its license type yet.
715  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What kind of service/business would you create if you had funding and.... on: December 08, 2016, 10:40:28 PM
I would love to use and would take part in developing a very quick exchange. This exchange would have a dynamically increasing, but stable portfolio from altcoins and as member of the Staff I would consider communication with the users very important. I would support a powerful online marketing too.
716  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What DB do you use at your end? on: December 04, 2016, 09:10:08 PM
Thank you for suggestion! I too read very positive opinions on NEXUS, seems worthy to try out next.

@CIYAM, I find your description a bit difficult to imagine. Maybe because I have studied for my finals the whole day and my brain is tired  Tongue Have you got a model or - even better a - prototype of such a DB to see?
717  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin address rating system on: December 04, 2016, 09:05:08 PM
One person can have thousands of addresses. We all all know how easy it is. One click. So you got bad rep ? So what make another address. Won't solve the issue.

It is not necessarily the bad rep that makes an address untrusted. In general, new addresses should be considered riskier than addresses that provenly belong to trusted people. You do not get better appreciated by generating a new address, do you?
718  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Engraved wallet into jewellery on: December 04, 2016, 08:58:55 PM
Omg, I let this thread a bit loose, I think. To be honest, I have given her the ring, already. It was similar to what dArkjON offered too, but from an acquaintance not so far from us. No hate, but it was easier to go to his workshop and show/tell him in person what ring I was looking for than discussing with someone online. My GF was melting when she saw the fine gift. Well, melting in her heart before your dirty fantasies hehe. So, I can say girls appreciate such gifts. She said she got to really like this crypto-jewellery combination idea. I wonder if I get a similar gift from her next time  Wink
719  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: {WTS} Bitcoins for Skrill, Nettler, Perfectmoney, Paypal, Payoneer on: December 03, 2016, 08:34:10 PM
That Perfectmoney rate tempts me so much to buy some BTC from you  Smiley
I will see after the perfectmoney return of my last investment since I prefer to buy BTC without additional exchange.
720  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS]Physical Steam Gift Cards! on: December 03, 2016, 08:24:59 PM
That was just an option.  It is actually pretty useless and a waste of money to ship the card.  I have always just scratched the card and taken a picture for the buyer.

If you want the card shipped I can do that though..

The e-mail way is certainly the simplest option (lol), but I appreciate your willingness to ship too since I think my relatives will prefer to scratch the card themselves. I will ask them whether they are still playing via Steam. In the meantime, good luck with the sales!
