It should get on Cryptsy but only when the diff goes up and the premine has been splashed out a little with some services too.

So lets be honest guys, how many valuecoins have we all got? I have just under 10,000 at the moment.

Ok, I have been solo mining now for over 15 hours but only have found 4 blocks. I did a quick check on a Litecoin calc and on average I should be getting one every 2 hours maybe 3 with bad luck. Is anything wrong or am I on an unlucky streak?

When ever you write that something has BOT support it just reminds me of trading Bots. The vots are in, are you planning to change it to CAP? In Fallout they call them Caps too.
Which sounds better. I have 10 Bots or 10 Caps.
The first one makes me thing you have 10 trading bots ready to go, the second makes me think you are getting ready for WW3 complete with nuclear bunker (Vault 6). Much cooler.

Or just wait and then buy in?

Was the Bottlecap Dev as Fallout fan? Also where is the official ANN page for it please? Search brings up nothing.

What I like most about this coin is how humble but successful release it has had.
Yeah ok the 1 Million pre mine but you know how this works, Pools take some bounties, so do block explorers, then the exchanges ask for their cut.
There always has to be a premine with new coins and with the exchanges wanting more coins to allow them to be listing the premine has to be more.
I have been solo mining this over the last few days and I have not had a single problem, one of the sweetest coins to mine IMHO.
We could do with the diff going up a bit before it goes on an exchange or it will have instant pump and dump from the miners that have 100 x 7970 chained rigs and nothing else in their homes.

If they got the Duke Nukem thing wrong, maybe everything they have said is rubbish. I hope so as I have a BFL miner on pre-order.

Valuecoin to be added now buddy.

I got an email today as I run bbqcoin.org and got told to keep an eye on a new website in case anything was written about it on there, not much use though, as if they do, there is not even a contact form or anything really, or is there and am I just missing something? The reason I am posting on here is there most recent post which I feel a below the belt as I really like this forum and have been on here for quiet a while now. Anyway the website address is http://www.cryptocoingossip.comI also hope the BFL stuff is not true and is all BS, as I have one on pre order. Just thought I would let you guys know, so maybe you can stop the "Wikileaks" style site before its starts.

Is it possible for it to be compressed at all?
I don't know about compression but at the moment the only thing I can do is store it on a bigger HD and map it across.

I know that probably has been mentioned before but I just checked the size of the Bitcoin folder in appdata and it is now 17GB. Right now I have it stored on another drive and then mapped across, due to my OS drive being a small SSD.
Is there going to be any way for the dev's to be able to decrease this at all?
Imagine 10 years down the line and a 100 GB or higher Bitcoin appdata folder, that is always a lot of space even on a TB HD.

For solo mining you might want to add some flags if you are getting some stales or setup a cgminer config file with all for flags and setting in there.
I have found my sweet spot, this morning 146 accepted and 0 rejects. So with my 7970's I think I have found it.

I think we can all say that this is such an experiment and a little bit of fun just to see how things would pan out, we all know this is not going to get on exchange so we might as well just spread the coin love and maybe even learn how things might pan out in the future.

Cheers for putting it on here mate. I am going to add a goods selling section to the bbqcoin.org section I feel, so people can sell stuff for BQC and after all it is free advertising space for you products, my website get so many hits a day. I will get the the drawing board and sort something out on there, then I can start adding people requests for what they want to sell and I will add them. I might even add an goods buying and selling section to the forum aswell.

Its sorted now, having better luck solo mining now. Thanks guys.

I am solo mining with 700 kh/s but only getting the odd block here and there. Sometimes one after 10 mins and sometime after an hour, this is not right with the current diff. I also get no rejects.

I understand the need for Android wallets but when they have them what do they do with them? We need merchants and websites that take bbqcoin as payment, otherwise we cannot use the wallets for anything other than storage.

did you tell figroll about? unfortunately i have no rights to change it @ github... figroll was the first to know. We have two options. 1. Accept it and move one. 2. Change it and hardfork the blockchain. If we do decide changes are necessary, the hardfork should be utilized to make other improvements. Here is a hardfork wishlist the Bitcoin devs have been so kind to make for us. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Hardfork_WishlistGreat work on finding this out mate, I am sure myself and Figroll can get this sorted. We totally need more support from members like yourself to get this coin value up where it is supposed to me. I am going to think about offering bounties for websites that take BQC as a form of payment and also for a payment processor similar to Bitpay.com, maybe altpay.com :-)
