Yes use a driver cleaner like
http://www.guru3d.com/
reboot,
choose the right BIOS setting
reboot,
install GPU
reboot,
Install GPU Driver
reboot,
reboot.

Your BIOS will say somthing like, "turn off embedded graphics when gpu detected = y-n"

You need to do this before you connect any gpu to mobo and not after.

And to top it of, the moderators are ok with it.  Undecided
It is a forum paid for by the ethereum foundation.  Shocked

If anyone has any script mining asics machines you can put them to use mining ETC.. You wont be supporting the chain because its script but you can still select ETC as your payout
https://prohashing.com
Wow, i have script ASIC!  Can anyone feedback on this site?  Is it a scam?
I have been with them for a while... They are legit.. They are PPS so the fees are 4.99 percent but its a nice pool great owners! They have there own forum easy to get a hold of if you have problems

Ok, will get going on I after lunch, anyone else?

I think the killer app for ETC is the behavior of ETH users.

I can not believe the stupidity of this https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/8679/51-attack-pool-against-etc and this http://51pool.org/

Don't they realize that they will push every half normal ETH user (and miner) towards ETC if they proceed with this kind of stuff.

Damn idiots  Cheesy

No they do not, even when you spell it out!

any ideas Huh

Hmm you might want to try

ethminer --list-devices

first ?

I'm using AMD here which works out of the box, it's probably another --opencl-platform for you

Have you got an enbedded GPU?  Any driver errors?  Turn off the GPU on the mobo and give that a go.  You may be able to do this in your BIOS

Can we help get this guy mining?

Total hashrate of attack pool: 5.08 GH. with 15 miners
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 31, 2016, 01:41:17 AM
any plans to release an electrum wallet or a gui wallet for the audience?

They have a second miner on the pool
I hope some ETH miners see what is happening and switch to mining ETC.
If you want to mine ETC you don't need to go to the trouble of running geth and wait to sync.  You can just join a pool, change your bat argument and mine to a web based wallet like MyEtherWallet.com

MyEtherWallet.com now allows you to set the wallet to ETC or ETH

is nice and stable and have real good help info

So this is http://51pool.org/#/    plan

The pool is connected to a geth node that is running. Currently that node is running a unmodified version of the geth with the support dao flag (to mine ETH instead of ETC).

Once there is enough hashrate, the pool will be directed to another node, which will then require a new DAG to be downloaded on each miner (will be automatic). This new node will have a modified version of geth that will deny any transactions (freezing every ETC wallet) and change the consensus to say the pools wallet account mined all blocks (even though another miner mined it)

711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 30, 2016, 10:42:02 PM
it looks more like solo mining than pool mining  Undecided
if s/he stays there on his/her own it will take an average of 1.5 days to find the 1st Block with 400Gh/s by my calcs.
So now they have commited hashpower, will they  stay long enough to solve a block?  Roll Eyes
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 30, 2016, 09:41:46 PM
the war will begin!

ETH is only fake at now, and ur community plain job to 51% attack.

sad, but, the world see this, and we go win!

Miners Online: 1
Pool Hash Rate: 401MH

I asked a few questions but no reply.

What a sceptical?  The weaponisation of GPUs
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 30, 2016, 09:00:28 PM
Ethf doesn't have killer apps either,

Stop the fucking comparison, everyone knows ETC is the real Ethereum & a decentralized crypto, not fiat.If any company wants to invest or build on ethf then it is clearly because ethf is a mutable centralized scam.

This is not a race to win or to put someone down.

Hay, thank you for vibrantly supporting ETC  Smiley
However, Please try to be a little more discreet with language?  School is out for summer and there are women as well as people under 18 years (and under 16 years) using this thread.  The Worlds youth are both budding coders as well as keen miners as the law often does not permit them to do paid work.  But they do have access to a gaming computer and mining = $.  Crypto makes for a good school project too!

I would like to express my concern that crypto is for everyone, No? -Yes?
Are we  going for mass adoption or are we keeping it in the darker parts of the net where only those in the know get a look-in?

I'm hoping ETC will be an inclusive organisation.
I hope you can help, Heutenamos

Warm wishes
Paula

@BitBanksy  hope you sort your dapp out

@bitpop What about a Killer dapp Competition with ETC prize money?  Crypto  Idol?  People could donate some prize money?  Community could vote on a winner?  Get a company to sponsor it maybe?

Just ideas
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 30, 2016, 07:27:54 PM
So this is it? Is the hashing power of ETC rising or falling? For the first few days the original has been gaining momentum. But now the people are getting anxious because it is still an uphill battle and now the stakes are high because the original chain could be attacked.

Please update us on what is going on. That will be appreciated.

Well it all looks good from here,
Eth successfully forked away from the network and established their own chain.  We wish them the very best of luck in their chosen way forward.
ETC hashrate has been steady and constant at around ~500Gh/s since shortly after the passing of Block 192......
A stable market price has been established.  Community, exchanges, users and Companies have on the whole been supportive.  A big thank you to everyone who has supported ETC.

We have been threatened with 51% attack on 2 occasions which i find both shocking and unorthodox as most attackers like to use the element of surprise and remain anonymous.  Moreover, I hope we are not entering a  new age of crypto posturing and bullying between coins.  That's just not good for crypto as a whole.

It feels nice to be free from the autocracy of adolescent dictatorship actually. Let the free markets decide who they wish to support.

I think we have successfully nailed our colours to the mast.  Don't you?

Hi there @ocminer, i see you posting on https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/8679/51-attack-pool-against-etc/p2

So do you support the 51% attack from ETH to ETC?

and

do you own https://grs.suprnova.cc/  ?  I mine Groestl with you?  You are not part of the attack are you?  Will suprnover host the attack pool?

Hey, I've closed my ETH pool because I don't support mutability blockchains or better "censorship"... Code is law and should be law, so I think I'd be the LAST person on the world attacking the chain, I'd rather set up a 0%fee counter-attack-pool ...

Thank you for clarification.  Just mindful of double agents and agentprovocateurs

Its not over yet,
https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/8679/51-attack-pool-against-etc/p3

This is not an independant forum in that it is paid for by the ethereum foundation.
Both dlehenky and work are very compitant, more so than the dev team, we need to take this seriously as it is intent to attack another coin.  What are the legal ramifications?

Anyway it looks like i can post again. They were held for moderation and then put up on the board 12 hours after i posted.
I think the crypto press are gonna have a field day here.

I want to make it clear, I condemn crypto coins attacking each other, i belive.... let the markets decide.
