My T17+ just arrived it is running okay.

ahh well maybe mine will be here soon. we both had the 27th originally for a date.

the only real disappointing thing is that my Apollo will never find a block lol its best share ever is less than 5,000 so no where near the share needed to find a block. but it mines great on a pps pool, I will just never go solo with it.

I found a block last month. Ok that's a lot of luck and probably won't find another, but I did find one!

which scrypt coin were you mining?
7163  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S17+ and T17+ on: April 28, 2020, 05:11:16 AM
My order just flipped from showing the 27th for delivery to showing "pending" with no further info. My guess is next Monday.
7164  Economy / Goods / Re: Rural Land In Navajo County, AZ for homesteading. $2500 (0.33 bitcoin) 7.5 acres on: April 28, 2020, 05:07:40 AM
can you post the geographical coordinates?

if you click his link and put in the parcel number it gives them to you.

where exactly? I've got the parcel info on the county page, not seeing latitude and longitude on any of that data. thanks.

if you open up the map part it has it, but he just posted it as well.
7165  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Used Antminer S17 Pro - Having issues and PO finally said he had it plugged 120v on: April 28, 2020, 05:06:41 AM
well especially as an s17 requires two 220v/240v lines - he was doing 2 110v/120v lines so he was really cutting it short.

Looking at those giants hashers running GH/s, I felt truly disappointed long ago ... but then I remembered I bought my Apollo strictly for education / learning purposes!

Of course, I could become graduated using those 10 something little Moonlander2 that I bought from Amazon ... but that little devil on my left shoulder kept pushing me to grab my CC and order Apollo so I could make couple of pennies per month!  Grin

oh for sure! I bought it mainly to have a miner at my office desk to share with people who ask about mining without having to take them in the loud ass building running all the asics lol. I have both an Apollo and a Terminus on my desk.
7168  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: April 27, 2020, 09:31:46 PM
why is braiins os+ not open source like the original braiins os?

it was probably mentioned somewhere but I missed it if it was. Also, doesn't the site state

Quote

Revenue from Braiins OS+ is used to continue developing the open-source mining stack sustainably in the years ahead

if its to "continue developing the open-source" - then why is it not itself open source?

or am I missing something here?

this is my first order since this whole covid thing started - I ordered on the 17th, it was packaged and sent out on the 24th -so today is 10 days since I ordered, with 4 of those 10 being the weekends I dont find that it has taken all that long. but let's see how much longer it takes - they shipped it out on friday and it left china today. the longest time was the that i ordered on the 17th and it didnt ship for 7 days though they were not slated to ship until the 21st so the 21st to the 24th is only 3 days for them to prepare and ship it.
7171  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S17+ and T17+ on: April 27, 2020, 06:50:52 PM
whelp mine was supposed to arrive today - however, it shows it didnt leave China until 5:45am today

glad to hear it is fine and working. luckily the psu did not get damaged trying to power the miner with lower voltage. lower voltages will not hurt the miner but I believe it can hurt the psu.
7173  Economy / Goods / Re: ENCRYPTED MOBILE PHONES, MILITARY GRADE ENCRYPTION. on: April 27, 2020, 12:03:02 PM
This is bullshit and your offer is bullshit.  What your talking about doesn't exist.

If you want private phones, buy a Pixel 3a and install GrapheneOS onto it.

I believe he is trying to say that he has these https://encrophone.com/en/ however, there are very few dealers that you can get these from and I doubt he is one of the few.
Encrophone is bullshit, android is bullshit and isnt secure at all. All those encrypted features are available for free on the app store

i am not questioning that at all or debating it - just stating what i think he is trying to sell because he himself did not.

7175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo LTC Image and Support thread on: April 27, 2020, 12:01:01 PM
That's not very helpful.  I thought I did the instructions.  I'm a first timer.  I don't know what to do.

sorry if that is not helpful - I put exactly what you have to enter - though it can vary by pool - we could help more if we know what pool you are trying to use.
7176  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S17+ and T17+ on: April 27, 2020, 04:09:13 AM
I see they raised the prices too - to over 800 so i for sure will not be ordering another now. my next one should arrive tomorrow though.
7177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo LTC Image and Support thread on: April 27, 2020, 03:02:57 AM
First time miner.  Just received my Apollo Batch 2.  I have two issues. 1.  On the dashboard my first url says Main ..  Inactive..Dead
My second line says Donation...Active...Alive.  I have them going to the same url of 3333.        #2 My Litecoin pool account is showing no activity which I assume is related to issue #1.

Also on the url line do i put my username and password and proxy which is optional in those fields.

Thank you

the url is not 3333

depending on the pool you are trying to use, you may need to set up an account - for example litecoinpool.org you have to create the workers on the pools site first or they will not connect.

for example:

url: stratum+tcp://us.litecoinpool.org:3333
username: accountname.worker name (again how it is on the pools site)
password: whatever you set it to on the pools site.

I think so - btw, it says 14 now Smiley

1 is mine for sure!!  Grin

and mine too Smiley now that I figured out why I could never get mine to work lol
