721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 18, 2023, 03:39:16 PM
I also favored Real Madrid to qualify for the semifinals, but in the second leg at Stamford Bridge I was more certain that it would be a draw.
I expect high spirits will occur to convince the Stamford Bridge public that Chelsea always try to give their best.
Chelsea is not in the best shape realized by Carlo Ancelotti, but Ancelotti will also aim for goals in London from the early minutes to avoid Chelsea scoring 2 goals.
Real Madrid are in a better shape than Chelsea and if Chelsea fail to control Modric, Vinicius and Benzema, they will fail in a second match. It sounds impossible for the to control those players as they already failed in a first match.

More than that, Real Madrid also have Rodrygo who is another Vinicius and Kroos can make good key passes too. The return of Kante could not help Chelsea to control Modric in a first match and they will get more issues in a second leg. Real Madrid won't easily lose big advantage with two leading goals even at Stamford Bridge. In general, Chelsea players are not at their best personal forms as well as their whole team are in bad streak too.
722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Things I've learned day trading Bitcoin for 3 years (successfully) on: April 18, 2023, 10:30:20 AM
Though I agree that consistency plays a great role in getting success
It's hard to get profit from trading. It is harder to have consistent successful trades from trading. It is barely seen traders can have consistent success and net profits by long time of trading.

Quote
I think one should also be adapting to new techniques that can be utilized in a good way only to maximize the chances of gaining better results. Maybe don't change the existing strategy or get influenced by anyone, but one can keep making updates to an existing strategy.
You will have to adapt to market trends, new methods for market manipulations, new regulations in both proposals, enforcement and fuds. This cryptocurrency market is very young and can be impacted by future regulations. It is reflected on impacts of fuds on this market as people are more easily panic with news about stricter regulations.

Quote
Or maybe one can also try something different at times only to see if that works or not, but only with a small amount if you are not very confident and don't have enough knowledge about it.
To trade successfully, it's not easy, time consuming and mentally stressful.

If you want to have consistent success, you can change from trading to investment. Investment with dollar cost averaging (DCA) method and consistently accumulate bitcoin. Less or no fear of fuds and success will come to you more easily.

723  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: after listening to manupulation, i think in this way on: April 18, 2023, 10:20:07 AM
Many times we see in news and articles about market manipulation, after that i think, why this trend lines and indicators matters,

do institutions are also following indicators and trend lines? yes, manipulation but that manipulation is for liquidity grab.

but after all they also predict by trend lines and indicators? why trend lines matters?
Institutional investors are like small investors. They can be pro institutional investors or they can be stupid institutional investors. Like Terra, Voyager, 3Arrows Capital and more. You can not say institutional investors are always right with their methods and decisions.

Trend lines are important because we know a trend is a friend. Furthermore, when you use trend lines, you are simplifying things for your view but it is wider and more general than using too many technical indicators.

Good investors will focus on fundamentals first, then trend lines.
724  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market is seasonal on: April 18, 2023, 02:30:51 AM
There’s always a season to harvest and a season to plant more, and with crypto it can also possible to happen.
Market has bull and bear times and its capital flow will be switched around from Bitcoin to altcoins and stable coins. You will not have Bitcoin season and altcoin season at the same time. Bitcoin season first and capital will switch to altcoin to trigger altcoin seasons.

Altcoin season index shows recently we are in a Bitcoin season. There is no altcoin season yet!

Quote
When you tend to wait for a cheaper market then that could be your season to plant more, meaning its bear market and when the market pumps, that’s the time to harvest. Just like farming, you always have to plant in order for you to get some, cryptomarket is just like that it will not always an up trend, and the season to plant will always come in time.
Bull or bear market, you can have profit if you have enough patience to wait long enough and get good entries.
725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Federal government and banks are threats... on: April 13, 2023, 11:33:31 AM
AFAIK it was from the last year where Nigerian Bank will confiscate any money related with Bitcoin, so nothing surprised here. If the bank don't want to accept any money related with Bitcoin, what you can do is trade via P2P and increase your security level in order to hide from getting tracked by your government. You can also move to the other country which is friendly with Bitcoin.
Peer to Peer trading is good and bank transfers for payment between two trade partners does not have information related to Bitcoin or cryptocurrency trading.

Problems only rise if you are trading with a scammer and when you win and exit that scam, the scammer can submit a report to banks as his personal attack against you. I don't know how banks in Nigeria can get information about bank transfers related to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I really think that they have to depend on reports from users together with other authorities.

How will Nigerian banks handle those reports from their users?

Screenshot from a trade means nothing as it can be faked easily.
726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Twitter will enable crypto and stock trading via eToro partnership on: April 13, 2023, 11:23:02 AM
I believe Twitter will have to submit new area for their company license to legally deploy it on Twitter. Regulations on financial services are very strict in the USA. and if Twitter ignore compliance stuffs, they will be in troubles with regulatory authorities.
Since that feature is going live tomorrow, I guess they already sorted that part. Its probably eToro doing the trading part because if it isn't, what's the point of that partnership?
I know eToro will play main role with trading feature but does this partnership exclude the necessary that Twitter have to register a license for operating a platform with trading services?

Like casinos buy games from game providers but casinos themselves have to register valid licenses to operate gambling activities. It's my thinking.

Elon Musk is only looking for ways to make more money and not thinking about Twitter users. I wonder if anyone on Twitter will not want to try to trade and start losing money, I hope they will know that trading is not for everyone.
If you are a trader and you can have a super big X-app to trade and do other things, will you use it? I don't like to do everything in a single application as it is like I put all risk and one bag. I can not control my capital by doing this.

I don't see what is wrong if Elon Musk deployed it for Twitter, if you see benefit, let's use it. If not, don't use it. This partnership is good for Twitter to earn more income from a kind of affiliate income from eToro and eToro will have massive advertisement on Twitter.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Last 16 on: April 13, 2023, 10:51:22 AM
Still haven't decided which game I'm going to watch. Feyenoord - Roma, repeat of previous season Conference League final. Quite difficult to predict something here. Feyenoord is looking strong this season, probably going to win Eredivisie, Roma is doing well in Serie A and Mourinho know how to win UEFA cups. My prediction is BTTS today.
The earth is round and they will re-meet after only one season but at a highest level. From Conference League to Europa League is a good upgrade for those clubs.

I don't know about Feyenoord but AS Roma actually have good improvement in this season. They have Dybala who brings more creativeness for their attacking system and their defense system looks to be tighten more and better than in the past season. Roma will have to rely on Mourinho experience in knock-out matches to beat Feyenoord. Good news for them is AS Roma did not spend too much efforts to have a win in a last week match in Serie A. It helps them to have good preparation for a match with Feyenoord.

Quote
Bayer - Union. Bayer is heavy favourite, but probably it wouldn't be big surprise if Union will win, they already made some upsets.
I am unsure about this pair but Bayer actually had good form recently.

Quote
Juventus - Sporting. 1.73 odds for Juve looks a bit weird. They didn't had easy life against Freiburg, while Sporting eliminated Arsenal after all.
Juventus surely are stronger than Sporting and they can stop a dream of Sporting at quarter final round.

Quote
And MU - Sevilla. As much I would like to be wrong, current Sevilla doesn't looks capable to make problems for MU. Odds for MU is too low, I'm going with over 2.5 goals here.
This pair is a most interesting one as Sevilla can make all of us surprised by beating Manchester United and continue to protect their King reputation in Europa League. Manchester United just return to be a club with many problems recent weeks and it gives Sevilla more chances to beat United.
728  Economy / Reputation / Re: I proudly 7 years as a Bitcoin investor. on: April 13, 2023, 10:43:45 AM
Zzzzzz. LOL! Don't be too naïve, guys. And please read beyond the OP. How can you easily fall for this kind of story?

Uche6215 is celebrating his/her 7th year as a Bitcoin investor when just a month ago he/she shared that he/she's been a Bitcoin investor for two years. I don't know which planet OP comes from or what kind of calendar he/she is using there, but here on earth and with our standard Gregorian calendar, two years cannot just turn into 7 years after just a month. LOL!
He can have lies or can have truth with his stories. We can not verify it  Grin

Is it cool to give a friend bitcoin as a gift on his birthday?
I have a friend who I have been telling about bitcoin for the past 2 weeks now and he's paying more attention to it, on the 1st of March is his birthday party I want to surprise him with $200 BTC because I can't attend his birthday party.
So is it apprised to gift a friend bitcoin at his birthday party?
His story can be true as if he wanted to give  his friend $200 gift in bitcoin, he would have enough bitcoin to give it away. It makes sense to give away $200 that is ~ 0.007 to 0.01 BTC months ago when he has 0.9 bitcoin.

He helped his friend to pay hospital bill with 0.046591 BTC too.
729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Twitter will enable crypto and stock trading via eToro partnership on: April 13, 2023, 10:38:31 AM
Twitter seemingly to be gearing towards being some sort of super app. Very interesting development compared to what eToro did.

eToro: investing/trading app that added a social media aspect
Twitter: a social media app that added investing/trading

Twitter in itself right now is pretty buggy though — not sure if implementing investing/trading is the best move to make right now.
Sounds like a good partnership as they have cross use cases.

I only don't know how people will be able to trade stocks and cryptocurrency directly on Twitter?

I believe Twitter will have to submit new area for their company license to legally deploy it on Twitter. Regulations on financial services are very strict in the USA. and if Twitter ignore compliance stuffs, they will be in troubles with regulatory authorities.
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 12, 2023, 10:57:00 PM
There have been many explanations from the community in this thread that Chelsea are not favored in this match due to their poor performance in the domestic league. we can even see that there were no attacks that produced any goals for Chelsea, it's a shame that Chelsea had to play with 10 players in the second half, of course that would bury hopes of a draw where many might bet on a draw like you.
They wanted to believe in rhythm of history and thought that Lampard can repeat success of Di Matteo and Tuchel to bring another Champions League to the club. 2 conceded goals is bad but at least it is better than what they got in the past season, lost at home with 3 goal difference. So they can have another hope that they will be able to score two goals at Stamford Bridge as in the past season, they managed to score 3 goals and led the match before Benzema appeared and saved Real Madrid.

Quote
Madrid deserved to win because they played as the host, of course they didn't want to disappoint all their supporters. after all, on paper, Madrid as the defending champion knows how to play in the UCL and win this match, so as we can see, it is not difficult for Madrid to overcome Chelsea in this first leg match, the second leg will be a tough job for Chelsea to be able to comeback at home, if Chelsea wins it is a miracle the same way you hope for a draw but it doesn't come true. btw, you are not alone friends, even I also bet on a draw  Grin
They are King in Champions League and at their home stadium, they did not allow Chelsea to make surprise.

Benzema again shown his value in Champions League. He began this season slowly and was not actually ready with his body but now when the season comes to ending weeks, he is on fire. He will be a most dangerous player for Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge in the second leg.
731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your most preferred Bitcoin investment strategy right now? on: April 12, 2023, 10:10:44 PM
DCA is a good strategy when you are a long term investor and this strategy works best in bear market especially about one year since a start of bear market when bottom is mostly in and price is about -70% or -80% from all time high.

DCA in a bull run is more risky because you can DCA at mini top or around all time high but the biggest reason why you DCA is you believe that price will be much higher than a price you buy it after a few years. In addition, with DCA you will not have to feel uncertain what is bottom, when to buy, don't have to time in the market. It will help you to feel more easily to make decision without impact from market up or down and your emotion.

I disagree with hold on dear life because you must to sell your bitcoin at some time, to get your initial capital and to prevent that you will lose all including initial capital if anything which is super bad like a black swan event on bitcoin. Sell your bitcoin when its price is very high from your entry price that is enough for you to get your initial capital by just selling 10% or 30% of your bitcoin amount.

After you sell part of it and get your initial capital, you can say I am not a hodler and will hold on dear life my bitcoin. Nothing to lose after getting initial capital back.
732  Economy / Reputation / Re: I proudly 7 years as a Bitcoin investor. on: April 12, 2023, 10:02:41 PM
Good day everyone I am here to announce that today has made me my 7th year as a Bitcoin investor, I am the happiest person today because Bitcoin has given me a lot of gains through investments.
You only created your account one month ago and you told us you bought your bitcoin 7 years ago and still hold it. I will buy a benefit of the doubt that what you told us is truth but let's say that it is like a trend, days ago I read a topic 10 years of Bitcointalk (and Bitcoin)

You have two more topics which I think you can use one of them for celebration too.
A word of inspiration and hint.
A world of motivation

You are so lucky if you bought it 7 years ago and actually did good backup which is usable nowadays. Congratulations if you have it and can sell it above $30,000 which is not a price many people dreamed of 7 years ago.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is like usd it also cause inflation. on: April 12, 2023, 01:44:34 PM
how bitcoin is deflationary currency ?
Bitcoin is not deflationary but inflationary. The inflation will stop in 2140 when all 21M bitcoins will be all mined by miners. However, it won't become deflationary after 2140 in theory and  by its design. No more new bitcoin will be mined after that but probably more bitcoins will be lost by people death, lost private key, send to wrong address, wrong chain.

Quote
it's also true with bitcoin it's price fluctuate and causes inflation?
Bitcoin is not related to inflation of fiat currency and it is not a cause of fiat currency inflation.
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does loss of BTC affects total amount of BTC in total supply. on: April 11, 2023, 02:14:46 PM
I have read few posts of persons talking about losing their wallet's containing BTC and couldn't recover it at all. Hence, as people keep losing their BTC due to loss of wallet seed phrase, can it affect or cause a decline in BTC supply entirely?
Lost bitcoins won't be recovered without access to lost private keys. It's impossible as from Private key to Public key then public address is one-way. You can not revert the process from Public address to Public key then Private key.

Total supply is 21M bitcoins.

Only circulating supply can be changed with new mined bitcoins and lost bitcoins. However, you won't be able to know how many bitcoins were lost.
735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is it necessary to mix Bitcoin that you bought from an exchange? on: April 11, 2023, 03:02:03 AM
always make use of those various ways on mixing up your coins on deleting or erasing up your trails but we know that it is already that hard to trace up when you do
make out transactions in between wallet to wallet or from exchange into your personal wallet or vice versa.
Withdraw your coins from exchanges, move it to another wallet of yourself or move it to another exchange then to another wallet of yours is good enough.

Or move bitcoin to an exchange, trade it to Monero, withdraw Monero and move Monero to another exchange to sell it to bitcoin. Withdraw it again. You don't need to use Mixers if you are ready to do some steps by yourself.

https://kycnot.me/

If you are lazy, use mixers is good enough and more convenient.

I think it depends vary  from person to person . What kind of security he needs depends on whether he's going to be using a mixer because if it's not that important I think mixing is a waste of money.
Using mixer does not increase your security but privacy and anonymity.

Make sense, if they just deposit the Bitcoin to another exchange, I don't think a Bitcoin mixer is still needed here. I believe it will different for every different goal of the person. If they are sensitive about privacy, for sure they will do such things as this.
And there are also some Bitcoin mixers are not to be trusted because maybe instead you will become safe, your funds will indeed be frozen or get scammed or being linked to other Bitcoins that is identified as fraud.
Exchanges do batch transactions in outputs for user withdrawal requests. They are like a mixer for users already and they are used by some people to do money laundering too. Same for money laundering on cryptocurrency gambling sites. If you simply make deposit then withdraw your coins on exchanges or gambling sites, it can be one of factors for them to investigate your accounts for potential money laundering.
736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How some people see Bitcoin on the other side on: April 09, 2023, 04:47:29 PM
You can tell them about investing in bitcoins but give a more detailed explanation and don't forget to tell them that bitcoins are not related to any investment program.
Advise them don't join any investment program from any company, group because it can be scam and Ponzi.

Bitcoin is available for them to buy it and hold it as their own investment. They don't need to join any investment program with high promised profit. Investment has risk, risk of loss and if any program guarantees you about profit, you should smell a scam attempt.

However, people want to have profit, guaranteed profit and they don't want to have risk. Unfortunately, with this mind, they choose to join Ponzi program and get scammed.
737  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why only a Bitcoin trading pair is the best thing? on: April 09, 2023, 03:17:48 PM
Yea, I agree with you but I am talking about people who think Bitcoin is not profitable even though it is a major coin. They consider some shitcoins to be profitable and I have seen many people lose all their money.
They do know Bitcoin is profitable but it is not profitable enough and can not satisfy their need and greddiness. They see potential higher profits from altcoins and they choose altcoins. They can choose old altcoins that give them more safe investments than with new altcoins which are created recently with new trends.

Again their greediness is harmful for their capital safety. They ignore old verified altcoins and choose new altcoins.

Unhappy endings are what most of them get but they must have the experience to feel what advice given by senior cryptocurrency enthusiasts.
738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving only 1 year away on: April 09, 2023, 01:44:51 PM
It seems that halving is became only an event relative to the speculation behind Bitcoin. Naturally everyone is waiting for it, but in my opinion halving is something that should track only progress made with Bitcoin from its
I feel very interesting to see how people feel hype with halvings. It is like they only know about halvings when it comes and did not know about it years ago. Many people did not read Bitcoin whitepaper, Bitcoin wiki and did not know that Bitcoin has four-year halving in its design. Another thinking is they knew about it but they just think halving is nothing in bear market but in bull market, they change their mind and think Bitcoin halving helps Bitcoin to double its price or more to make new all time high.

The total hash rate will probably decrease after the halving, but it will increase again after a short time. After the halving, blocks will probably take more than 10 minutes on average to be mined, but everything will become normal again after the first difficulty adjustment.
That hash rate shock won't last more than 2 difficulty adjustments. In history of cryptocurrency mining, mining bitcoin is a most profitable and safest choice for miners. If they mine Bitcoin forks and other altcoins, they can end with low trading volume, lower price and they will have negative balance sheet for their mining operations.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 09, 2023, 01:30:37 PM
The problem is that Lazio always wins by a narrow score against these strong teams and it's only natural that I doubt them enough to win. Meanwhile, Juventus won consecutive wins in their last 5 matches in Serie A and finally the winning trend had to be stopped by last night's defeat to their opponent Lazio. Finally, Lazio is now starting to breathe a little easier and in the next match they will face a weak team at the bottom, namely Spezia.
In many seasons, Lazio relied on Ciro Immobile to have goals but they no longer rely on him in this season. Initially it looks like absence of Ciro Immobile by his injury will bring big problems for Lazio but they did replaced him well.

Their main strength in this season is their defense which has very little conceded goals, just 20 conceded goals so far. It is a second best defense in Serie A after Napoli with 20 conceded goals.

IT is more interesting to see two clubs from Rome are standing at 2nd and 3rd positions and they both rely on their defense to get those high positions. AS Roma don't have too strong attacking but their defense system is good enough with 26 conceded goals so far.

Glorious victory from Lazio last night! I've watched the entire game , hoping that Lazio will be able to keep that 2-1 for almost and entire half and they did it! It was a hard working victory , a well deserve one for the players , club and also for the fans.

With this mega important victory , Lazio hopes once again for UCL spots and that 2nd place in Serie A is well deserved for them. Grin
That win helps Lazio to secure their 2nd position and at the same time almost shut down the hope of Juventus to join top four. With Lazio, they have good advantage to end in top four and return to Champions League. However I am very doubtful how they will start in a next season. They still rely on some players who have played for them many seasons and they will lose those players on transfer market soon or those players will have worse contributions when they get older.

Champions League and income from it can help Lazio to rebuild their squad in near future. Next season can be a start of rebuilding process for Lazio.
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How some people see Bitcoin on the other side on: April 09, 2023, 09:55:16 AM
So as a newbie I am, can I tell people about Bitcoin or will I get into danger if I introduce multitude to Bitcoin investment and they lost their little capital?
You will not be in danger if you only introduce Bitcoin and not invest in Bitcoin on behalf of those people.

They have money, listen to your speech, feel believing in Bitcoin, and decide to invest in Bitcoin. It's their responsibility with their decision, action and result of their investment.

However, it can be different and turn to be your responsibility of you use their money, invest in Bitcoin on behalf of them, because they don't want to practice how to buy, store bitcoin. You will take all responsibility and risk if you do that.
