721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confused, Your thoughts is needed on: December 05, 2019, 06:09:06 PM
Bounty dump doesn't affect the value of the coin if it's less but imagine a project offers 5% of token for bounty but if hunters dumps all together the value will be reduced little bit which sends a shock wave to other investors and they join the dumping ground which pulls the value down that's why there are some bounties who buys back the tokens to avoid bloodbath.
722  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin increase as in 2017? on: December 05, 2019, 05:29:43 PM
Hi everyone, I'm new to the platform and a new crypto-currency lover and passionate about blockchain technology. I have lots of ideas and questions about crypto currencies and my first one, could Bitcoin see its value increase as much as in 2017? Thank you

This crypto market is very volatile and nobody could make actual predictions of the market even trade experts also but what we witness in 2017 was insane pumps in prices as prices rises suddenly to ATH levels and croseed $20k barrier and then there were huge dumps in prices and market crashed afterwards but somehow managed to rise to $8500 this year but next year halving will have positive impact on prices and they can rise again but 2017 pumps is difficult at current but who knows what happen in this risky and profitable cryptocurrencies.Just hope for its betterment.

We might not see a repeat of 2017 again as it seems like that was once in lifetime opportunity but yes there will be pump but not like the one we had in 2017 because we have seen 2019 as not a bad year for crypto because the price of bitcoin has increased than what it was at the beginning and we might have similar future where there would be gradual increase unlike 2017.
723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream for bitcoin on: December 05, 2019, 05:21:22 PM
I appreciate your creativity but we need to understand once and for all any crypto currency let it be bitcoin or altcoin cannot be used like fiat and it will be better if we could accept the reality and start focusing on possible things. Crypto can be alternative but not primary money like fiat.
724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have there been any money laundering schemes that used cryptocurrency? on: December 03, 2019, 05:41:57 PM
money laundering is not easy even with crypto, especially now that there are many exchanges that require the KYC identity, I think money laundering with money or with crypto is equally difficult except for those who are experts, in my opinion the government's ban on crypto is not due to money laundering, because money laundering was often done before crypto was created.

Government's insecurity as well as possible ban on crypto is due to various factors and money laundering is a part of it as the major reason are terrorists funding, extortion wherein kidnappers demand ransom in crypto to avoid any sort of tracking. These issues were there before  existence of crypto but now it is easier and government is afraid that their national currency will take a hit if people prefer crypto.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your Bitcoin cash price prediction on: December 03, 2019, 08:40:11 AM
Not sure if it will reach $4,000 due to current market situation and it's just my opinion that BCH will reach a maximum of $500 if things go well. I don't have much experience with BCH as I am more focused on Bitcoin, Ethereum and TRON as of now but BCH does have a good development team but reaching $4,000 is something which is not possible to achieve in such a short duration.
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $1 billion XRP unlocked from its escrow wallet by Ripple on: December 03, 2019, 08:26:45 AM
This was supposed to happen as people need to understand the intentions of Ripple and cash out because they are centralized coin and equally greedy they can manipulate the price anytime they want by managing the demand and supply. Most of the users invested in Ripple for greed including myself in the past but once I got to know the reality I cashed out, I would suggest all to move away from Ripple.
727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: December 03, 2019, 08:16:09 AM
any currency that wants to pass the test of time needs to have that characteristic and fortunately for us bitcoin does.

Bitcoin does NOT store value, it has zero value beyond what some greater fool will pay for it. Once that psychology ends, you will bitcoin price drop faster than you ever thought possible.  The only reason people have bitcoin is because they think the price is going to go to the moon, and that they will get rich 💰💰💰💰

NO one is PRICING anything in bitcoin.   Businesses that accept bitcoin do not really accept bitcoin.   When you pay with bitcoin, what the business is using is a system that allows you to pay in bitcoin but instantly coverts your payment into US Dollars that they receive for their goods.

The idea that bitcoin would be the future money was FALSE, and you are all about to find out that a lot of other big assumptions you are making are false.

The saying " BLINDED BY GREED" exists for a reason, and the people in this forum are the perfect example of this 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Hard Facts
Bitcoin is a store of value no matter how much you try to deny it, the argument that you are using could be used against gold as well, nothing is priced in gold, you cannot really buy anything with gold and yet the scarce nature of gold has made it the favourite way to store your wealth for thousands of years, the characteristics of bitcoin are similar except that it has many other advantages over gold, but you are right in one thing we are going to find out who was right soon enough.

Yes I got your point but there are so many difference between gold and bitcoin because those who have traditional invested into gold will never invest into bitcoin because they are used to the stability and gold's value increase very slow and there are no sudden dump and they are used to it. On the other hand we have people like yourself and me who will prefer bitcoin over gold due to it's advantages over gold good return on investment if we are up to date and make the right move.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has entered a shop (non-BTC accepting) and asked if they will accept Crypto? on: December 02, 2019, 04:06:36 PM
Mine was a terrible experience when I thought of experimenting I just asked if they accept crypto and the people around there turned towards me as If I have committed some crime wherein some of them said it's illegal and some were curious to know about it but the shop keeper had no idea about it.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Shopping Mall in USA Goes All in BTC ATMs for Holiday on: December 02, 2019, 08:46:35 AM
Bitcoin's ultimately hindrance for adoption is its limited supply if it weren't for the 21 million total supply bitcoin could easily be a part as one of payment processor in any big businesses without the risk of affecting the price through converting btc into fiat, without btc users having to worry with those fees. I guess for now btc should be treated as an asset not a commodity that should be carelessly spent.

But how long can you preserve bitcoin as an asset? Most of the users tried doing it and those who did that before 2017 got a great return during the period of bull run but what about those who have invested at the bull run? few of them cashed out and rest are just waiting to cashout and I think it depends on individual based on their needs if they will preserve it for long term or else just wanna cash out during the peak. Bitcoin was created for peer to peer transaction but turned into an investment due to it's growth.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Can Altcoins do it alone ? on: December 02, 2019, 08:32:37 AM
We have often witnessed that the growth of altcoin is associated with the growth of bitcoin as whenever there is a pump in the value of bitcoin we have witnessed green days for altcoins too but how long will altcoins be dependent on bitcoin? Do you think altcoin can do it alone and have it's own pump and dump without being dependent on bitcoin? What will it take for altcoin to prosper without bitcoin's involvement?
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Not Be a Medium of Exchange on: December 02, 2019, 08:14:47 AM
Bitcoin is both an asset and a medium of exchange with goods.  Consider bitcoin as gold, there are a number of countries where people use gold to exchange goods.  Bitcoin is valid for exchange at the time its rate is set.  Bitcoin is a form of investment asset when someone holds Bitcoin long enough for Bitcoin to increase or decrease in value.  To say that Bitcoin is not a means of exchange is not true.

Yes bitcoin is asset and can be used as a mode of exchange if both the party set a common term in case of any fluctuations within certain time because what if bitcoin is priced at $8000 while transferring and it pumps or dumps while getting transferred as it will be a loss or gain to one of the part. Instead of mean of exchange I feel bitcoin is more suitable as mode of payment and investment since there are lot of other crypto which can be used for exchange with a more stability.
732  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is still really bullish (Unpopular opinion) on: December 02, 2019, 08:05:12 AM
If we just look at last 12 months or so then it's still bullish but that's not same for those who have invested in bitcoin while the value was at peak around December 2017 as it's still 2 times lesser than what they have invested. We need to consider every aspect before terming it as bullish or bearish, I am sure there are users waiting for bitcoin to hit their break-even value to sell it off as the are struck from past two years without any sort of profit.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The only one way to always get your tokens after bounty ends on: December 01, 2019, 05:57:24 PM
Yes most of us had been through the pain of not getting paid after working for bounty projects and it feels more frustrated to know that the project is listed in the exchange but still the developers ignore bounty hunters and sometime they don't even pay the bounty managers so it's a tough thing to choose any project nowadays and I would rather sit idle for sometime until we see good projects rather than wasting time on greedy projects.
734  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving 2020 prediction on: December 01, 2019, 05:02:57 PM
An insider with his ear on the tracks, whispered to me this:

The next much anticipated halving event will be a dud. There will not be a parabolic push up in price. It will steadily move sideways in the 5,000 range with low volatilty. Baffling everyone and flattening peoples interest in bitcoin. Meanwhile people will start buying and trading alts again and stablecoins will see a significant rise in popularity especially with big corporations.

So much for making big gains from the next Bitcoin halving event. You are all shit out of luck?

As more and more people will have bitcoins the volatility will decrease and prices will be stable but this could not happen within 2 - 3 years. Bitcoin is still in its early years where only a few people have bitcoins with them and therefore this halving will produce the similar results as happened in 2017.

Yes there are chances that it might lead to one more Bull run which is expected by most of the users but still there are doubts because unlike 2017 the market is highly manipulative now as it got more players and group of traders who are hell bent in manipulating the market. We might see an unusual year ahead.
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to zero? This guy is dreaming! on: December 01, 2019, 04:01:56 PM
Well what's new about it! It seems like this person was just needed an attention or publicity from the crypto communities, All of he was saying are pure nonsense a stupid crap. so why we should mind that in the first place, we all know that if Ethereum or Bitcoin value becomes zero, It was mean that cryptocurrency industry is over. But as we see it today, It was continue to shine despite the weak market sentiment.

Whoever said this is not in right sense of mind and if he would have said this about some shit coin then understandable but he said this about ethereum which has always fought back with the market situation and acts as one of the backbone for all the ICOs and crypto in general. Unrealistic
736  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on? on: December 01, 2019, 03:42:45 PM
it is traders who create fluctuations, both large traders and small traders, usually big traders sell or buy bitcoin then followed by other traders so as to create a trend, There are also other factors that can cause trends such as important news or important days.

I agree with your findings about traders having a major role in these daily fluctuations as they can form a community and play accordingly and news does not hold as importance as it did in the past as the effects of news are not seen nowadays. It's the traders who seems to be steering the market.
737  Economy / Speculation / What's going on? on: December 01, 2019, 08:09:49 AM
What's going on with the market as everyday you can see a quick pump or dump which was not the case until last one month? I thought it's done by whales but I don't think they will do it so often. Who is creating these fluctuations and where will this lead us? Bull run or bear market?
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of bounty campaign. on: November 30, 2019, 05:35:22 PM
I think this is going to kill the bounty campaigns and lets not mix bounty campaign with signature campaigns which are paid through bitcoin, but user are already fed up of bounties wherein they don't get paid or the project end up as a scam and if there are too many restrictions for bounty campaigns then nobody will join bounty campaigns.
739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins or Bitcoin? on: November 30, 2019, 05:25:42 PM
I don't think Altcoins will gain a higher market share than Bitcoin. Although Altcoin has many technologies and applications in practice. However, choosing altcoin to replace BTC is a long way. BTC alone has fought nearly 70% of market capitalization.

Bitcoin will always dominate the crypto market and even I have more bitcoin than other altcoins together in my wallet but we cannot deny the fact that altcoins have more features and new technologies which can be used in real world and altcoins beat bitcoin in terms of technologies and features so I think altcoin will be adopted more by start ups in the future but still altcoin cannot dominate crypto market.
740  Economy / Speculation / Re: No need to PANIC! on: November 30, 2019, 05:18:51 PM
most people panic of course because they fear losing more when bitcoin goes down. and in my opinion the easy ones to panic are those who are new to investing in crypto or a newbie. those who have long invested in bitcoin will not easily panic because they are used to bitcoin volatility. I'm not panicking I'm sure bitcoin will pump again.

Same goes with me as well, even I don't panic whenever there is a dump as I have already seen numerous fluctuations all these years but I do have a red line post which I will think of selling it off only to back back at much lesser price. Those who have recently invested in bitcoin looking at last bull run and bought bitcoin at peak will be the one's to get panicked as they are yet to reach the break even of the amount which they have invested and it will not be an easy task for them.
