721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: December 17, 2023, 11:16:56 AM
~ For example, an alcoholic might start drinking at their job.

A gambling addict might start gambling at their job.

They are different things, but the behavior is basically the same. They are doing things at times that they shouldn't be doing them.

And most likely, both of those scenarios will end up badly.

I'd say, drinking alcoholic beverages at your work place might end up worse than gambling, but I understand that it's open to debates. At least you are not intoxicated when you gamble, and can stop at any moment and continue with your work being absolutely sober. It's kinda hard to do that when you are drunk. But I know that there are cases when people are "drunk" from gambling and they can't do their job with a straight head.
722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: December 17, 2023, 10:43:15 AM
Obviously, gambling is a business; gambling only becomes a way for us to become addicted to it. But gambling itself was not the main reason; instead, the main reason was that we were driven by greed to become addicted to gambling because we experienced winning by playing gambling on the gambling platform.

There are still many gamblers who use casinos to gamble, but they do not become addicted to gambling or develop an addiction to it because they know how to limit themselves from gambling. In short, they are responsible gamblers.

Right, and they would laugh after reading "Reckless gambling starts after a win round". What? After a winning round they collect their winnings and cash out. What kind of a greedy person one must be to start gambling recklessly after a win round? When are you going to stop then, after a losing round?

But I don't agree with this conclusion.  If the game actually uses a 100% provable fairness algorithm and all processes associated with the distribution of cards proceed according to a deliberately random mechanism, the algorithm of which is deliberately hidden from AI access, and AI is also completely unable to obtain information from this algorithm in any way (well, for example, roughly  speaking this is simply a person randomly drawing a card from a deck of cards at random and there is no connection with electronic machine algorithms).  In this case, it seems to me that the AI poker game will be just a game with a very strong opponent.
And it is not at all necessary, since the player will lose.

Just look at the videos showing AI beating top poker professionals on YouTube, and I think you'll agree with me then. And it's not that AI "knows" the cards of the opponents or something like that. Everything's fair in that regard. AI is just playing better. It calculates the probabilities of this or that outcome after this or that move and acts accordingly and it works in the long run.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: December 17, 2023, 09:21:54 AM
Look at this situation: I am playing a certain slot with 0.50$ stake, next spin would pay 10x.... but what happens if i increase/decrease stake before that spin that was supposed to pay 10x??
There's no way you can predict that the next spin would yield a 10x win. Each spin is random and independent of each other.
In the case of the slot having progressive mechanics like collecting wild (for example Bronco Spirit etc.), you'll lose progression after you change your base bet.

If the progression isn't lost after changing the base bet, tell us here mate what the title is so we can taste the sweet glitch Grin

I'm interested in this progression thing. I was playing Candy Jar Clusters by Pragmatic Play the other day, and I'd noticed that there were these jars to the right of the reels

collecting balls/candies like this

and I mistakenly thought that when the jar is full you are immediately getting free spins or something. But when nothing like that happened, and I kept playing and adding new balls to the full jars, I think I've figured out what the progression is. With collecting balls you are just increasing your chance of getting free spins from, say, 0.1% to 0.2%. Your chance is still very slim, but it's true that it keeps increasing with every new ball collected.

What do you guys think?
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: December 16, 2023, 02:55:47 PM
In my opinion, gambling depends on the home environment and the environment where he plays with his friends, because if the environment and friends are good then his brain will definitely avoid gambling. However, if the place where you live and the environment is bad, many people gamble, then indirectly, if they have a track record, the people around them will also do the same. Not because of gambling advertisements scattered in the media, because if it happened because of gambling advertisements in the media the whole world would definitely gamble.

It does, but sometimes it works the other way round. Kids are so sick of all that gambling happening around them so they never gamble in their whole life. I personally know such examples. Kids don't always want to be like their parents, especially when their parents are not successful. Actually, it would be a big tragedy if someone won big money through gambling by chance and their kids would want to follow.
726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: December 16, 2023, 01:27:38 PM
~
The main thing in gambling is money, so if someone feels that it's a good lucky time for them by managing to get a win of a certain amount then obviously the question is "who doesn't want money?", that's what makes a person even more greedy and never feel enough of what they've got, they try to take advantage of the situation for a bigger win but it turns out to be the opposite, it's the casino that takes advantage of their greed  to take back all the money they've won, that's what happens. So the bottom line in my opinion is that it's a matter of overthinking the gambling point of view, their intention is to make money so they go overboard.

Many people would argue with that, you know. I would be one of them. If you go to Vegas to gamble, and on your way out you see that you are minus $200 after couple of days of great time spent on slots or roulette or whatever, would you consider that as a loss? And if you are in $200 profit after all that fun, would you think "I have to earn more money from this!"?
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: December 16, 2023, 12:56:54 PM
We should not gamble with that money, which if lost, we will have to face big problems later. We should gamble with money we can afford to lose, because gambling is completely uncertain, if you borrow money from someone or gamble with your family's money, thinking that you will win the game and pay it back later, and  If that doesn't happen, if you lose this game, how do you pay that money back to your friend?  Or how to return that money to your family? As a result, you will be in great danger. So gamble with what you can afford to lose.

Great words! Counting on winning in a totally luck-based game is stupid because, unlike in most businesses, you can't affect the result. Play games where you can affect the result, and then count on your win if you know you are skillful. You can still lose but at least no one could blame you that you were acting foolishly like when you lose a fortune in a luck-based game.
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: December 16, 2023, 12:27:45 PM
~
A successful gambler already knows what he has to do while gambling, and he will not force his will to pursue victory. He can certainly control his emotions well. This is different from ordinary gamblers, who often lose control of themselves when gambling, so they experience losses more often. Successful gamblers can anticipate large losses by taking a few breaks to think about what they should do and will not rush into decisions because they know that making hasty decisions will not give good results. We have to learn to become a successful gambler, and even though we haven't reached that stage yet, we can still learn so we can always control ourselves well.

Actually, you don't need to force your will to pursue victory, that would be easy. The thing is that you have to force your will to not pursue victory, or to not chase your losses. That's the hardest bit. And if you can do that most of the time(no one can do it all the time), you are a successful gambler regardless of whether you are in profit money-wise or not.

Play if it's just for fun because it won't be forever, whatever strategy we use will always win on this site, so use a certain amount of time to play, I also often use several strategies to play their Hi-Lo dice game, although sometimes it works and get a small win, at least I can buy FUN in installments to add more to my account so I can get additional WOF rounds.

Personally, I don't hold back for too long if I have BTC funds in my account. Usually I will use it to buy some FUN tokens or buy weekly lottery tickets to look for other luck on this site, at least there is a little hope of getting the main prize to be part of the 10 winners. weekly lottery would be even better and I'm sure all users want it besides me.

Weekly lotteries is something I'm keeping my eyes on too. Especially when I have hundreds or even thousands of tickets(you can win several thousands through the Wheel of Fortune). Seeing that someone ends up in the top 10 just with a few tickets, you can't not hope to win with thousands of them, right?

But today I have two other things to talk about. First, while hunting for the Jackpot on Multiply BTC game, I won with 0.48% win chance 2 times in a row!

and second, I won 1 Golden Ticket through the Wheel of Fortune

Now I have no idea from where I got another one

but it is like it is, I have a double chance now. Smiley

732  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: December 13, 2023, 10:21:40 AM
~ By the way, anyone knows how much is needed to wager to be in the last 5000th position for the current 10M race? I wagered $28k only so far and I'm at 13,769th LOL.

I just asked and my friend is 1334th position with over 300k wager, but he didn't play for the last days.
Even with 280k after 1 week he was only 800th or something, at least that's what he said.

It's crazy the amount people play for at this site. Imagine 300k in 11 days and 1300 people have more wager than him, that's insane.

Yeah, that's amazing. Looks like Stake is doing really good if there are so many high rollers on the site. People, especially high rollers, wouldn't be playing on the site if there were legit claims that something is rigged there. That's those periodical baseless accusations in this thread look so laughable.
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: December 13, 2023, 09:37:31 AM
~  What's your secret, or do you think you are just lucky still?
The main secret is patience and money management. The odd higher than 2, small leagues. Sometimes i use predictions from several groups, sometimes, i analyze matches myself. I`m sure that it is possible get about $1000 per month but you have to be ready wait up 3-5 times per night, use alarms per day, always be ready to bet. It becomes your job. But anyway it is impossible get $1000 every month. Sometimes it can be $2000, but sometimes the result can be about zero.
Today i bet when i have free time, so i have small profit, but i stable have more than $100 per month.

I too prefer odds higher than 2.00. In fact, I prefer odds higher than 100.00 on multibets, but I rarely win. Do I lose more than 100 bets before I win? No. I win more frequently, but I can't say my profit is more than $100 per month. And even $100 per month is not enough to see gambling as a major income, so, it's only entertainment for me. Raising my stakes trying to win more is too risky, in my opinion.
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I learnt from a crackhead about gambling on: December 12, 2023, 01:44:47 PM
~

There are three escapes of a man when he gets a problem or is experiencing stress. These are gambling, women (sex) and getting drunk (drugs or alcohol). Of the three there is no better, because it has its own risks. when you gamble you will risk losing the money and wealth you have. When you choose to make comfort women your outlet for all the problems you are experiencing, then you will be at risk of HIV, hypothyroidism B and others, which are diseases that are difficult to cure. And when you choose to get drunk by consuming drugs or liquor, it will slowly damage your body and if you are addicted to drugs, not only will your body be damaged but your wealth will also run out, because the price of drugs is quite expensive.

And of these three things, it seems that gambling related to the impact is not too bad, but still if we play without good self-control, this gambling will become an activity that is very detrimental to us. Because it will cause significant risks.

Great point! That's what I think too. Of course, there are other activities that can unstress you, like playing some sport games or just working out, and for some people it's writing and for others it's watching good movies, but you are right, gambling, sex and intoxication are the strongest, and gambling is probably the safest of them all. It's not suitable for kids, and not suitable for adults who thinks like 12 y.o. kids, that's what must be kept in mind though.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: December 12, 2023, 12:20:33 PM
~
The above notwithstanding, winning a bet is possible even without studying the games but that happens when we follow our instinct. Observation has shown that people who select games based on their instinct have more winning rate than those who rely on luck or follow prediction sites.

In summary, gambling is not about luck. Gambling is about trying until you get it right. Keep playing and if you can't quit.

What "instinct" are you talking about? We can see about it in movies and read in books because it makes movies and books more interesting for some people, but not for me, and I hope not for the most part of the educated people. If you want to talk about it seriously, tell me what is the scientific basis of this information? How do you imagine this happens? A piece of information going back in time and reaching your brain so you could make a bet based on your "instinct"?

We have received a large number of refund requests, many of which are duplicates. We are carefully analyzing them to separate legitimate requests from bogus ones. While we intended to complete this process sooner, we are actively working on it and appreciate your patience.

@Betwrong, to confirm, we have received your request and will process it.

Thank you for your reply. It's really a good news to me because I have around $500 stuck in the site, which is kind of big money where I live.

Let's just wait, guys, and hope for the best. As @Hispo said above, it could take time to do it properly, so let's not rush them.
