7281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one do you choose? on: February 06, 2019, 02:45:30 AM
I am not a trader, so I chose to use Bitcoin as a substitute for Fiat, I have done this for 1 year, 2015, when there was no clear prohibition on using Bitcoin as a payment tool, there were many shopping places and hotels that received payments using Bitcoin, I feel more comfortable and easy to use and store bitcoin. but after 2016 everything changes, all business places are prohibited from accepting bitcoin as a payment tool.

But don't worry, I feel that more and more merchants will start to accept bitcoin as payment again. Actually there are still a lot but you have to check when the company first.

In Germany alone, a lot of stores have been accepting it, so it will just be a matter of time, might be slow but at least we're heading to that direction so that we can used our bitcoin more of money rather than as a investment platform.
7282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Trade By The News, Follow The Price Action on: February 06, 2019, 02:05:41 AM
Iam trading with follow the trend, went the trend change it into Bullish/Bearish then i will follow him, never to fight back into the market. because just like you try to stop a falling knife and you cant do that, if doing that i believe you will lose.

Ok, you mentioned a good subject here, never fight back the market, I think this what makes traders lost in the bear market. Why?

Because at the back of their minds they keep on hoping that the price will still go up. So they wait and wait till they're on the the losing end. No need to fight back the trend, you should understand when to give up and sell your coins and just re-invest when the price picks up again.
7283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understand addiction! on: February 06, 2019, 02:01:36 AM
falling into gambling addiction mostly those didn't know how to control them-self, most of them is gamble without plan and didn't know gambling cause affect their life if she/he didn't know how to control itself.

It really boils down as how to look at gambling then. If you see gambling jus a form of fun and enjoyment then you can easily control yourself. But if you're a person who see it as a form of making money, easy money eventually you might end up just like the rest of the gamblers and you will be another statistics.

For those who have been addicted and recovered, I salute them because it really takes a toll on you, whether emotional, physical or even financial. It's very difficult but it doesn't mean it can't be done.
7284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mac users be careful on: February 06, 2019, 01:51:52 AM
I'm a Mac user myself but I'm very careful what site to visit and I don't usually click any links here. So far I'm lucky I haven't been phished or something but I still constantly guard my online accounts specially with regards to my crypto's.

It's going to be a war against hackers or scammers as they targeted this ecosystem for the last couple of years because of the huge money involved. So just be cautious and be attentive, you don't want to be a victim of these malicious attacks and definitely doesn't want to lose your hard earn crypto coins.
7285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Proof MtGox Dumping Caused Bear Market Alleged on: February 06, 2019, 01:28:28 AM
I didn't click on the link but there are news that they've started dumping Bitcoin at the height of it's bubble so it look like this is a old news already.

And Mr. Kobayashi (Mt. Gox Trustee) said that he won't be dumping on exchanges but will do it OTC, or something to that effect. He even have to watch for the judge order because he can sell them. So I'm not sure if the link has no development or not. But for me, this so called dumping from Mt. Gox is already settled, no need to create FUD.
7286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Let's talk about this Bittorrent situation $BTT on: February 04, 2019, 09:37:57 AM
The bittorent https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bittorrent pump is now ongoing but how long before it dips, those who are even able to buy for ICO is already more than 5x their money

Yeah, that's what I said on the previous thread about BTT.

It's been currently pumped so hard, more than 60% already and I'm sure people are slowly making lots of money with it.

I'm just more concern on the long term goal though, will people used BTT in the future and be one of the best investments in 2019 forward?
7287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC SHOULD BE STOPPED FOR BOUNTY HUNTERS on: February 04, 2019, 09:30:04 AM
Yes! This must be stop. It should only be done to investors. Bounty hunters must no longer have to go through KYC. If they are thinking about the lame bounty hunters, they should make another way to detect it not by KYC.

Right, there should be ways for ICO to detect cheaters and not enforce KYC for bounty hunters.

I mean what's the use for requiring hunters, we are not investors who are people who help spread awareness of the said project that's why I opposed KYC.

7288  Other / Off-topic / Re: I always feel tired on: February 04, 2019, 08:17:02 AM
Go and seek medical help first.

In my case, I was always feel tired upon waking up. Try to drink coffee just to boost my body but nothing works. And then one day I go to a doctor and I found out that I have a type 2 diabetes. Yes, it's a first sign, you always get's easily tired or even after a long night sleep, your body aches and no power to even get up in the morning.

7289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MEW Android Wallet on: February 04, 2019, 08:11:17 AM
Never heard of MEW's official android wallet. Maybe I check to verify and see it for myself.

But basing on the history of how many people has lost their coins in MEW due to hacks, phishing, DNS spoofing, I would say that everyone should be cautious as well.

Scammers/Hackers are very rampant so just used every precautions and secure your account.
7290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Intraday vs HODL on: February 04, 2019, 08:06:14 AM
Intraday vs HODL

In the current market situation which one best and what do u guys prefer

Both has it's pros/cons.

So it really up to you, what's your goal? Short term gains or go for the Long haul?

While for others, not well adept on trading, they would rather load their wallets with coins specially it's pretty cheap at of the moment.

While for those mid-experience levels trading, there are opportunities to make money even if we're in the bear market.

7291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if designer handbags were 80% off? Your gf would... on: February 04, 2019, 08:01:32 AM
Trust me your gf would raid your wallet, bleed your bank account, and fill her wardrobe with LV, Chanel, etc

Bitcoin and alts are 80% off right now, why aren't you doing the same?!

There maybe lots of smart investors really getting at bitcoin and stacking up huge amount.

But for casuals, I believed they are somewhat reluctant because they don't want to take the risk at this point. While for those who got burned last year, maybe they're just waiting for the right time - at least a indication that recovery is on the way before putting their hard earn money again.
7292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Nerd money or not? on: February 04, 2019, 07:57:04 AM
Then I wouldn't mind people calling us Nerds.  Grin

I guess it has something to do with the "technology" behind bitcoin. It was money written in "codes" by Satoshi, that's why it can be reference as nerd money. There's a lot of technicalities behind, like wallet's, privatekeys, hashes, TX and other things that a non-tech people can't fully understand in the beginning.

7293  Other / Off-topic / Re: Intermittent Fasting for weight loss on: February 04, 2019, 03:35:08 AM
~ snip ~

I don't know about the anti-aging effect though, but I have been doing IF's even if I'm a type 2 diabetic and so far I haven't had any side effects. Actually it really help me lower and most of the time normalizes my blood sugar without me taking any medications.

But I still continue to monitor by blood sugar and I'm not saying this is a perfect cure, it's a combination of diet and exercise as well.
7294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitTorrent on: February 04, 2019, 03:27:50 AM
I think Justin Sun will do everything to make BTT project get into top 10-20 crypto's by the end of 2019, just as he did with TRX.

Meanwhile...

$0,000657 USD (51,54%)
0,00000019 BTC (53,17%)
0,02579408 TRX (54,08%)

And it's still pumping as of this time.

$0.000746 USD (65.42%)
0.00000022 BTC (66.84%)
0.02946473 TRX (69.21%)

So let's see how long Justin Sun can influence the market and buy BTT. The price is still cheap and maybe we can see more pumps in the next coming days, so it's going to be interesting how everything turns out. I'm expecting another 50% pump on the price and could end up around $.001++.
7295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Distribution of tokens in installments on: February 04, 2019, 03:18:38 AM
at this time I receive the distribution of tokens for one of the projects in stages, the distribution is done every month at 10% of the number of tokens that I get, what is the purpose of all this?
is this one way to stabilize prices?

Yes, it could be.

Remember we're in the bear market and every time bounty hunters got their tokens, it's a immediate dump and obviously the price of that project will go down hard.

I'm not sure of the net positive though, it's first time I heard this kind of payment arrangement. So it's early to say if this will be effective and efficient in the long run.
7296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 04, 2019, 02:43:38 AM
And I thought Lebron James is all ready for the game against the GSW and yet no LBJ in the floor.

It is a good game though. Curry have been off at the first half while Klay is on fire at 23 points already. Durant have the same neutral game and still looking for that spark.
It became so physical and Boogie have been talking and pushing anyone that comes near him. His dunk though made it clear whose the man on the inside.

The joke of Steve Kerr trading Curry made some changes. Curry made 10 points at 4th quarter and Iguodala also is hot. Great game for GSW. They need that win.

Still waiting for the reports on the Draymond Green injury.
Draymond green got injured in last nights game? Didnt notice him in a play inwhich he suffered and usually its the other way around. I remember that block he did on Wagner when he was going for a dunk. He almost got a technical cause he threw him aside at the end like he was a rag doll. He is a nasty player but if the warriors are without him for any considerable amount of time they will suffer in the defense department for sure.
He stepped on Rondo's foot I guess but I think it's not a serious injury.
Draymond Green needs to be in the floor, he brings energy because of his big heart in basketball, he might bee emotional sometimes that affects his game but his weakness is overshadowed by what he brings to the team. This guy though not a good shooter, but he is really good in defense, he steals the ball, block and he can do a lot of things when playing. If time comes that there is one of the starters will have to leave the team, I hope not Draymond.

Green really brings a lot of intangibles in the games, things we can't measure, like being a leader, giving support to their second team rotation, words of encouragement. So he is one of the backbone of GSW. Although not a shooter, but sometimes he hits crucial 3's as well and could really guard anyone at any position and he can quickly rotate as well, just like we saw in year's final. KD, Curry and Klay might be the doing lots of things, but there's no doubt that Green has contributed a lot to the dynasty of Golden State.
7297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investors now moving to gold on: February 04, 2019, 02:37:15 AM
I don't believed this kind of news, I mean can casual bitcoin investors can simply buy golds as  investment? I doubt. A lot who stop buying bitcoin is just waiting outside and not moving to other assets. They have their funds and willing to go back once the market show some sign of recovery.

Maybe the article wanted to sway more crypto investors to gold, but I think it won't happened.
7298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run 2019-2020 on: February 03, 2019, 04:21:04 AM
Hi guys,
The bitcoin block reward halving is next year in may.
Do you think this would lead us to a new bull run these year?
What are you're thoughts

If we're going to look at the last bitcoin block halving, I would say yes, it really started the bull run that ended in 2017. As far as I can remember it took four months before we can finally see the price really going up.

So if history repeats itself, the bull run that we all wanted to see is 2020-2021. And the price could be above our last all-time-high. I'm not saying it could happen because I don't have the crystal ball, but I'm positive that the halving in 2020 will bring some positive things in the market.

Nvidia Made Billions From Ethereum Crypto Mining Says Analyst

Quote
n analyst at RBC Capital Markets claims Nvidia made “$1.95 billion in total revenue related to crypto/blockchain,” significantly more than Nvidia’s reported $602 million.

Mitch Stevens of RBC says from April 2017 to July 2018 Nvidia should have generated around $2.75 billion in revenue according to hashrate data for ethereum and other gpu mineable cryptos.

Steves moreover says Nvidia accounts for 75% of the gpu mining market while AMD accounts for the remaining 25%.
https://www.trustnodes.com/2019/02/02/nvidia-made-billions-from-ethereum-crypto-mining-says-analyst

Very interesting, I thought mining is dead in this bear market, but it looks like NVidia is still making profits selling boards to potential etheruem and altcoins miners.

Anyone here can verify if you have bought lost of boards to continue mining despite the worsening market conditions?
7300  Economy / Speculation / Re: new fork bitcoin at soon time will make bull run on: February 03, 2019, 04:08:31 AM
i dont know how this thing of fork like bch , btg , ....going but we can say the cause of crazy rising in prices bitcoin 2017 is free money . people love free money
i am sur if new news say we have new fork next month that mean tommorow prices can be over 4500

bitcoin need another fork for example bch2   it is go good
it is good way for hold bitcoin and pumping prices to 7000 again from current prices

At this point we don't need forks just to push the price higher.

And why we need another shitcoins anyways? The price rose because majority wanted to claim a free coins but after that what happen? We don't need short term spike, what we need is some positive news to bring the confidence of investors.
