741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many ICOs have you joined ? on: September 23, 2017, 08:08:58 AM
Participated in over 10 ICOs now buying at the bonus stages or during the presale where the token price is lower. A tad bit of research about the corresponding deployment fields of the coin being offered will give me enough information to take a call to invest or not and I'm only getting better at this. With recent developments and ICOs losing popularity, its becoming harder for the potential ones to come up amidst all the floating junk but having an eye on multiple projects and their progressive roadmaps could be a desirable thing to do.
742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So whats up with Bitcoin today???? on: September 23, 2017, 07:58:37 AM
Its still the Chinese BTC users selling all their coins as soon as possible to get ait converted to fiat as many exchanges have been given an extended deadline to cease operations. Of course we could argue that the Chinese could use worldwide exchanges but its a conflict of interest for them.
Once this air is clear and the situation comes down to a standstill, expect Bitcoin to start growing back towards the $5k mark given that more countries don't follow suite of what China did.
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions about whitepapers on: September 22, 2017, 08:00:31 PM
Its almost the same thing for me these days, various 'decentralized' platforms nothing more. Although a majority of the coins are like this, I like the whitepapers of unique tokens which aren't just about decentralization and work towards greater goals. What makes a whitepaper more viable is the ideology behind the whole project outlined in short and simple words for common understanding.
744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Theory: Satoshi Nakamoto is DPR (Ross Ulbricht silkroad founder) on: September 22, 2017, 06:35:32 PM
This is probably the most absurd Satoshi Nakamoto theory I've read to date. If you really believe Satoshi created Bitcoin just for the underworld and black market usage, you are delusional. Being decentralized, SR and other markets began using Bitcoin as they saw the potential of being undercover without the use of Paypal/Liberty Reserve (back then) or any other payment processor. This doesn't mean Satoshi is Ross because for someone as brilliant as Satoshi, he wouldn't have just create a currency just for the sake of illegal trades.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How hard is it to make money of altcoins? on: September 22, 2017, 02:45:22 AM
In this altcoin world, it is seemingly easy to make quick cash and even easier to lose it all. If you find the right coin with your time at research about it, things are simplified and you can proceed to invest in the coin, cashout when it shoots up. Since you're telling us that you're tilted about your losses, just forget them and move on to better investments and as a tip, never gamble any of your coins.
746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did you adopt Bitcoin - Ideology, Technology, Monetary on: September 19, 2017, 01:53:18 PM
For me, it is both the ideology and technology, the monetary part comes as an added bonus on top of these two, but if I had to choose between the two, it would be the foundation ideology.

The sheer idea behind a decentralized platform wherein there would be no central governing body which could control things might have sounded ridiculous at first, but putting everything together and creating a flawless system as it is today is a stroke of class which is irreplaceable in the history of this sort of an idea coming through successfully.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO fundrising survive at 2018+? on: September 19, 2017, 01:44:02 PM
Its looking very grim for ICOs currently and the situation could just continue to grow worse as many countries are bringing in rules to regulate fundraising of this type, not to mention China has already banned them. There are so many ICOs popping up everyday and without adequate research, investors could fall for ones which would unfold to be a scam and this would worsen the situation. With time, more fundraising methods might come and we could switch to a completely new method of raising funds so only time will tell.
748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally legal in India on: September 19, 2017, 01:35:09 PM
Highly anticipated move by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to allow Bitcoin and altcoin cryptocurrency exchanges to operate by legalizing them. Not only is India a big place for Bitcoin to be used and spread across, it is also a hub for crypto enthusiasts coming up with great startups. Expect more startups to implement Bitcoin system.
Also, the RBI has set a foot forward to begin its own cryptocoin called 'Lakshmi' if anyone has heard about this news. Legalizing Bitcoin was clearly the first step in the right direction but it is likely to face many hurdles, the main one being that the coin would be centralized. The whole crypto community appreciates and accepts decentralized system over a centralized one so it would be a hard job of making it work.
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yall know about Sex Island ICO on: September 15, 2017, 03:41:04 PM
First of all, the xyz domain makes it look very sketchy at the first look. There have been many tokens with similar ideas and almost all of them will suffer the same fate of the poorly planned approach towards attaining legal rights and stuff to run. As it gets frustrating, the owner would end up bailing out of the project with the rest of the funds so I wouldn't trust these sorts of ICOs.

751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take on the current situation of the market? [POLL] on: September 14, 2017, 08:10:43 PM
This is an ideal scenario to hold onto all possible altcoins and wait the rough time out. The effect of all the FUDs is causing a standstill in the Bitcoin market mainly, which obviously will mean that all altcoins will take a toll as well. When normalcy is retained, you will see all the charts lifting off in green so the currently one's best bet is to continue holding, trust in the overhaul to occur and when it does, you are rest assured going to be swimming in a pool of profit.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your first betting? on: September 14, 2017, 08:02:24 PM
Mine has to be dated back to 2014 when CSGO skin gambling was introduced. I had a couple of extra skins which I had no use of and decided to bet them on CSGO matches. If I remember correctly, the match was between VP and LDLC with the odds favoring VP and I had placed my bet (about $20) on VP. Of course the other team caused a dramatic upset and won the game and my first ever bet ended up as a loss. Yet, I have cherishable memories of my winning streaks on CSGOLounge which netted me over a few grands in skins.
753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it as bad as it seems to be? on: September 14, 2017, 07:00:13 PM
Hey! I know the dip have to happend after such "to the moon race". But itsn't it too bad? I mean we are looking at 20% losses last 7 (seven!!!!!) days. What do you guys think about it? I don't want to panic yet, but it scares me.

Its definitely not as bad as it looks, the price is not continuously decreasing but is seeing a bumpy up and down ride with the panic sellers making the price look low. Looks like a combined effort by all the FUDers to make it look even worse and right now it is paying off because people are falling prey for it. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a move by the big players to get a grip back into Bitcoin with huge investments during this dip.
754  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How low will BTC go so I can buy more? How to gauge the bottom? on: September 14, 2017, 12:55:47 PM
Judging by the current state of the market, it is becoming hard to call the lower threshold mark although I predict it go down to around $3000. It all depends on traders' personal decisions and opinions to hold or to sell and as always, the panic sellers are the ones to be incurring loss having sold in the dip. Those who believe Bitcoin will rebound back from all the so called 'bubble' accusations are the ones holding onto their coins while those who are being pushed a step back by all the FUDs are the ones panic selling in the current situation.
755  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are the Best Anonymous VPN Services? [VPN REVIEWS 2017] on: September 14, 2017, 12:50:55 PM
I have been 143 VPN from a few years now and never had any troubles with them. The monthly subscription comes cheap and has advanced features like port forwarding and of course does not store any logs. Have also tried RA4W VPN and it is pretty good too with various server locations for as cheap as $3/month.
None the less, there are countless number of VPNs out there today and almost all of them provide quality service at a very nominal cost.
756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is overpriced and will not see widespread use , : Ex Pimco CEO on: September 14, 2017, 12:22:09 PM
Mohamed El-Erian the Ex ceo at pimco and the current chief economic adviser at Allianz in a discussion with CNBC , stated that..

"BITCOIN IS A DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGY BUT WILL NOT SEE WIDESPREAD USE."

Mohamed said that he thinks that the price is going to blow up because it cant be adopted at the current price it is at ,but can be used as a peer to peer currency since there are many more peer to peer currencies.

Read More => https://zycrypto.com/bitcoin-will-not-see-widespread-use/

This has to be the most baseless rubbish ever spoken against Bitcoin and it is coming at a time where the market is muddled.

Firstly, Bitcoin is experiencing a very widespread usage from anything to everything. Not sure if he even realizes that over millions of dollars are traded in BTC on an everyday basis and this is all in their own pertaining fields of usage.
Secondly, Bitcoin has been adopted since its price was $0.1 and we all know the infamous 10,000 BTC pizzas. Today the price is over $3500 right now and if the average person can't get 1 BTC, he can trade in mBTC which is around $3.5 now so I don't see a problem there.
Lastly, Bitcoin was the first peer to peer currency to ever exist and people will obviously prefer the first one over the following. Its their own will to use BTC or any other token but BTC has been like the standard currency of the crypto market from the beginning.

With all this said, I have a piece of advise for him - "Never go full retard."
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable altcoins? on: September 14, 2017, 12:10:24 PM
This is an article posted earlier today talking about more stable altcoins. Obviously there is less upside with coins like these, but I wondered what everyone thought?

https://medium.com/@chris.b.campbell/tired-of-crypto-instability-try-these-more-stable-alternatives-6cb4159bfcfc

With the current state of Bitcoin, the whole cryptocurrency market is in turmoil and no altcoin could be considered stable at the moment. With that being said, I will pick XRP and Waves as my favorites for 'stable altcoins' as they have proved their worth in the past and continue to do so. OmiseGO is another token which is looking great amidst all the disarray with stable growth.
758  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin under 3000$?? on: September 14, 2017, 11:59:11 AM
Looking at all the FUDs making rounds all over the world, I can only see the current market dropping to about $3000 but not below $2500. That would be over a 30% dip in just a few weeks which is really bad news for Bitcoin considering it got past all the drama and chaos of the hard fork. Yet, I still believe Bitcoin will be back on track once this 'bubble' FUDers are answered and everything will be as usual again.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs - higher investment per ICO or more ICOs with less invested? on: September 14, 2017, 09:52:47 AM
Would you rather:

A.  Invest 100 ETH in two ICOs you really like the look of?

or

B.  Invest 100 ETH across 10 ICOs you have researched and think are good?

It all depends on the ICOs am I looking at. Personally, I prefer to have a diversified portfolio so I would prefer investing 100 ETH across 10 good ICOs over 2 ICOs. Putting money into 2 ICOs over 10 give that all the 12 are decent ICOs is almost relateable to putting all the eggs in one basket although the number is 2 here and I would find it ideal to keep my investments diverged.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi? Why did he hide his identity? on: September 14, 2017, 09:05:56 AM
Why did Satoshi hide his identity? Has anyone seen Satoshi in real life?
Is Satoshi one person? Or is it a community?

This is a very difficult situation. Especially now, that bitcoins are very popular and many big companies and governments want to get it. So the so-called satoshi must conceal his glorification to save himself. He can be put to death here. It's a big obstacle to banks and industries so it really needs to stop. But they are very difficult and impossible to do so their only key is the founder of Bitcoins.

Dating back to January 2009 when Bitcoin was launched, Satoshi was active providing updates, answering questions and everything necessary to keep up his idea. It was actually late in 2010 when he had to make the call of disappearing from this world. I don't really think any government or company for that matter can find the real Satoshi who disappeared almost 7 years ago and nobody has heard from him ever since.
