741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: December 11, 2023, 12:48:24 PM
~

Leaving poll numbers on one side and also the manipulation which the medie of both sides could be trying to push into the heads and minds of the American public. Is it my imagination or Trump's odds have actually increased since the end of this summer? I know he has always been under Biden's odds, but I have got the impression Trump's were lower before.
If that is indeed true, I would say it has something to do with the exit of the campaign of several Republican políticians and also the discomfort Biden may be provoking with his immigration policy and the handling of the middle east conflict.
Swing voters have start to consider to vote null or even vote for Trump (the latter is less likely though).
Still, the lastest Republican underperforming elections may guide me to bet in favor of Biden...

You are not mistaken. Trump's odds, in the sense that he has more chances to win from gamblers' point of view, have increased since Summer. He was behind Biden for many months, and now look at this:

The situation is almost identical on many sports betting sites:

Do I think Trump will win? No. But I can't ignore the reality.

if every gambler will stick to the mantra of just playing their extra money, they won't have the burden of debt or any financial difficulties. however, we all know that in reality, a lot of gamblers are digging their own grave to debt after debt.
on my end, i guess i am on the side of just spending extra funds and if i go beyond the limit from time to time, i know i am still on my max allowable limit.

We all go beyond the limit sometimes. The key is not doing too often, and when we lost more than we could afford to lose to not try to recover your losses. Just stop, call it a bad day, but stop to not make even worse.

If you don't have sufficient money, gambling is last thing you should turn to. Gambling is here for those who have something extra  and wants to have a bit of fun.
743  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc vs dollars on: December 11, 2023, 11:19:39 AM
Obviously bitcoin because we are bitcoin lovers and crypto guy not the reason for crypto guy. We all know the strategy of bitcoin and we all are useto with it. Many of us here liveing their life fully on bitcoin. Bitcoin is the currency made by Satoshi Nakamoto to give profit and make bright future for the bitcoin lovers and investor. We all are know that 1btc = 1btc and it already heppening a lot of time. But $1≠$1 that's the reason bitcoin win and we all stand with bitcoin.

I don't understand your point, to be honest. If you mean that purchasing power of $ is different in different periods of times, so we can say the same of Bitcoin. It's always changing for both currencies, only for Bitcoin it's much more noticeable than for USD. I agree with you that BTC wins the battle, though. In reality you can buy more and more for Bitcoin, and less and less for $$.

Yes it is obvious, people will only know about anything when they have experienced it, as you said in the household problem, when someone who has not entered the household phase then obviously they will not know how to manage very well especially in terms of finance and make savings, at first glance in terms of food it doesn't seem to be too much of a problem and we usually don't emphasize too much in terms of choosing whether it's from the type of food or from the matter of price per food that we will buy, for example, we usually always put a budget of $200 for the cost of basic food needs but by doing research first we can actually still save and lower that cost to be lower but still with food products that are not much different in terms of efficacy and health.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but think it's much more than that in developed countries. I think you need around $800 to cover basic food needs. Where I live it used to be $20, but now I feel like it's than $200 too. But of course it depends on what you are eating. With wise calculations you can eat healthy for just $50 per month, I'm sure, almost anywhere in the world. And I think it can be $20 in some places still.

There is no reason to prevent for-profit companies from achieving those goals especially increasing user satisfaction, but, the problem is do they use manipulation techniques or shady schemes to achieve that?

If that is true, then the word itself will become sinister. Instead of feeling better, the users are manipulated. This is obviously wrong, and we know there is antitrust toward big technology companies, and the reason is because they practise those things.

The thing is that every company, from a major one to a tiny food stall, all of them are trying to "manipulate" people so that they were buying their products. And those who are telling you about "manipulation techniques or shady schemes" are doing that too. They just want you to consume their product, information in that case. And it's natural, there's nothing wrong with that. You just can choose not listening to them, including the promotion from casinos. It's your choice.
747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: December 10, 2023, 01:21:16 PM
~ playing chess for money, which I've never heard of?

I don't think gambling was particularly booming in 2004 but for chess games it might have been and if there was gambling in that year I think it was mostly physical casinos. Of course  as you say it's not gambling if it doesn't involve betting valuable things that each person has like money for example in general, and judging by some of the questions you've asked here it seems like you're putting suspicion on the person about what gambling they're doing.

To be honest I also have the same assumptions and doubts as you, that's because I never heard that casinos provide games like chess as one of the gambling games, it refers more to skills, and  usually when people play chess they are more often to pit strategies and how good one of them is about the skills and understanding of the chess game. If it's a gambling game then it means that the more skilled person will win more, while chess is a game that can be learned, doesn't this make sense? Tongue So I'm quite doubtful if they lose their salary money because of this game.

Exactly. I'm sure people are playing chess for money somewhere, even at this very moment at one place or another a chess involving real bets is played, no doubt about that. But it's a rare case, and only because the world is big and there's 8 billion people in it, we can say it happens somewhere, with that many people the chances of anything aren't zero. And if it was really happening at the guy's workplace it's interesting to read more about it.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: December 10, 2023, 12:40:24 PM
~

Exactly.  And if luck strikes and you end up winning some cash, don't rush to spend it all at once.  Take a breath and ponder what you wanna use the money for.  Perhaps knock out some bills, stash some away for later years, or even treat yourself to a nice little holiday.

The way I see it, gambling can be a fun but you gotta keep a level head too.

All of those advices are great, in my opinion. We can't just pay delayed bills and save money from our winnings, we must celebrate it, we have to spend at least half of the money on a nice little holiday or something like that. And, I don't know about others but for me it's enough for many years ahead. I don't want to win more and then have a holiday again, I've just had it, I don't need another one for a long time. And that's why reckless gambling won't start after a win round for me.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: December 10, 2023, 11:43:44 AM

I cannot say less, I have seen the opinion of many famous people in the world where they advise that the development of AI not continue, because the Human being can regret it, we have seen some movies that are science fiction that for me are no longer relevant, so much science fiction because it is totally feasible and can happen at any time , we do not know how Technologies and things are being developed in a plane that we do not know within our earth, we do not know what NASA's technology is like, we do not know how this is Managed of AI, they will surely have this already developed in its maximum splendor and we here fighting against BETA versions, which they do not launch for sure as the oldest technology that they have already developed to keep us entertained, I am sure that there are versions of AI that They are capable of predicting more accurately and winning any poker championship to whatever extent and under whatever conditions they may be.

In this order of ideas, things with poker are something small that is surely already the result with another way of Seeing things with AI , or we do not know if more go ahead the AI in poker is what the casinos will use to be able to ensure their profit, but in part we should not be people who believe in everything that is implemented in our minds, we should be more critical, it is a fact that sometimes or in most things an AI tells us will surpass in everything , in Knowledge and in capabilities, where the management of the human being will be much less, only the one who has the best AI update is the one who will be able to work better and have more money, that is what this is about, improving the AI to generate money , Professions or anything will be replaced by this, what will matter most will be the games of chance that will be AI battles, in poker the best thing is that all the PVP tournaments are held, where each one shows that he is a human and for that the Moment will come when everything is based on cameras, so that the Person who Plays can be seen.

So, I see here we've come to conclusion that AI can destroy online poker eventually? I myself didn't believe this couple of months ago, and here I am saying that it's possible. I can only hope that humans will find a way to be better in poker than any AI, but it's just my hopes for now.

Does anyone miss me? LOL
It's been a long time since I played Gates Of Olympus, just try it at sherbet.com, and owh no need for the bonus round, just a base spin Grin
~

Holy Mother of God!

570x of your bet just through a base spin? No bonus round, no nothing? Congrats, mate! $570 is a big money in any part of the world!

I went to play Gates Of Olympus rigth away after seeing yor post. And with my very first spin I got 3 scatters

but you need 4 for a bonus round in this game.

And in my next spin I got a Tumble win

and it was more than 10x of my bet, but it's incomparable to yours. Congrats again!
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: December 10, 2023, 09:40:11 AM
~
Yes, the main role in children development is people and it is very important for every parent to always keep their children away from activities such as gambling in any form.
They must also provide lessons about the pros and cons of each activity that adults often do so that in the future, as time goes by, children can understand and choose which one is best for them.

Of course, if it just for fun it not problem, but in my opinion it not all about age because when children reach adulthood, they don't necessarily have truly mature attitude and can be responsible for everything they do.
Maturity, good thinking and responsible attitude can never be limited by age because the mindset of every person or teenager is different.

No, even if it's just for fun your kid should be of legal age to try it. Only adults can gamble for the entertainment purposes and never become addicted. It's very hard for children.

~
So classifying certain groups for children social interactions is very important so that they can be more protected from all the bad activities that adults usually do, such as gambling, drinking and smoking.
But is everything easy? The answer is no because nowadays there is lot of promiscuity and there is no age limit and everyone becomes one, they do whatever they like and are free from parental monitoring.

That's why education plays a big part. Even if your kid is on his own and no one is monitoring him, he's doing the right things when he's educated properly. Make your kid watch good movies and read good books, he'll take that from there.

Hey, @betnomi,

I sent the details from the OP to refund@betnomi.com a week ago, and I think it would be nice to receive a confirmation on receiving the info from your team. I mean, the deadline is approaching and I'm nervous about sending anything wrong, or not enough.

I think others would be happy to know too that their withdrawal requests are being processed.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: December 09, 2023, 09:53:21 AM
Usually when you hit a big profit , you should insta cash out and buy yourself something or you will end up making another deposit with the money you just withdrew a few hours or days ago. However ,if you have hot streak day , you should give it a try and keep playing a bit more but as soon as you realize you are just losing money , just leave and cash out for good.  Cool

I like the "buying yourself something" part. Of course, your "big profit" must be something above $100 or you might end up withdrawing too little to celebrate with. But regarding having a "hot streak day"? I don't understand what it is. Don't you think that those "bad days" and "lucky days" are just constructions of our mind? I think there's no such thing in reality. You can win big during your "bad day" and the other way round. You can say "That's my lucky day!" only post-factum, not beforehand.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: December 09, 2023, 09:16:26 AM
Excess of anything is not good, the body needs sweets but due to excessive consumption of those sweets, excess glucose level in our blood occurs which is a very serious disease for our body. Exercising is good for the body but not too much. Sometimes too much gym leads to death. When something goes beyond what is normal, we must understand that it is a very bad thing for us. It is fine to gamble properly but when a gambler gets addicted to excessive gambling, this gambling is a very harmful thing for him. When it comes to gambling, a gambler must be responsible because if he is not responsible, he will make decisions using only his emotions and lose one after another. New members who are new members should not be so focused on gambling in the beginning, if a member loses one or two bets in the beginning then he should stop gambling at that time and later on he should work on his mistakes and gamble again.

You are right about everything, but not about this highlighted part. If we want to help addicted gamblers accept responsibility for their behavior and get rid of their addiction, we must tell the truth. And the truth is that in games totally based on luck whether you are using only your emotions or or you're using cold calculation, it doesn't matter. You can in either case win or lose depending on luck. What matters is the strength of your character. A strong person can stop after a certain number of tries. Determine that number in advance and be strong.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: December 09, 2023, 08:27:10 AM
~ Gambling is not an asset that you can invest your money on, it's gambling, basically a game of trying your luck, it's all written over it, meaning you won't always win every time, I wholeheartedly believe that playing with small amount of money makes you the best gambler, don't get your mind fixed on winning and don't use what you can't afford to lose.

That's what I believe too. When I win 1,000x of my bet and it's only $200, or even less than $10 in dice, people say to me, imagine if you bet much bigger. And I say to them, yeah I can imagine that, I could bet $1k and win a million. But then again, if I were accustomed to bets like that, I don't think I'd live to see that 1,000x, if you know what I mean. What I've learned so far as a gambler is that the smaller your bets, the longer you live.

When it comes to multiplier the key here is to do different experiments. I am always taking my multiplier on different levels with different combinations. For example, I would start with minimum bet and multiplier set to 150x or 500x. This is just random number, nothing special about it. I just try these multiplier because I want to set the system on loosing end continuously. After this I would suddenly go and change the odds to 10-15x by the time I have lost money so it’s time House has to give me back. Then I would be constant on these multiplier for sometime to gain money. Though it’s not a guarantee but it works for me most of the time.

I am not motivating anyone to use this strategy neither it may work same for everyone. I’m using this since many months, working just excellent for me. Smiley

It's nice that it works for you. What else do you need? Smiley It's all for fun, after all. I also have my own strategies for dice game and although I know perfectly well that even a dozen unicorns can't make them work like for real, I keep using them from time to time and they "work" once in while making me happy. Smiley

And again, it's been a nice ride. First I won freebet from @jeremypwr's Prediction Contest and then I won this freebet and with pretty nice odds too:

What a win for Fulham at Craven Cottage! Fulham fans were raving like on a rock concert, and their favourite team surely didn't let them down. And Brighton & Hove Albion, although they they didn't score that impressively, they won after all, and I won my multi bet thanks to that. Smiley

Thank you, Sportsbet.io, for making it even more fun!❤️
