Question to the general public: this bid came in 30 minutes after UTC, which to me means it's the first bid for this auction. But I'm speculating MrWizard meant it to be on the last auction. It was an invalid bid for the last auction, so I didn't consider it. Should we withdraw MrWizard's bid, or make it the first bid on this auction? I'd like to avoid this in the future by helpful souls placing extremely lowball offers at the beginning of bidding. Since so many people have started lower bids and are proceeding as if MrWizard's bid is invalid, I think the fair thing for me to do is to offer MrWizard an option to buy 1.0 LTC for his 650 BQC, separate from the auction, and then let the auction proceed with the bids people are offering. Will I be shortchanging anyone in that way?

Thanks for the tip - I minted a 42 BQC block last night! This is my first ever block of any non-testnet cryptocurrency, so I feel kind of proud.

Never mind; I apparently hadn't tried logging in, since the main site appeared to be not displaying. When I logged in, I finally saw that the BTE I sent days ago had finally been credited, and I was able to get it out.

A forked chain just for the purpose of testing Bitcoin's resiliency to forks would be interesting and possibly useful.
I'm guessing the BitCoin developers would suggest the TestNet for that... I'm sure they would, but it wouldn't be a real test.

I have not had a lot of problems with BTC-E. But I haven't been registered there very long. I much prefer Vircurex.

I can't find (on Vircurex) an option to send BTC to another BTC address.
Once you've generated a deposit address on Vircurex, that seems to be your deposit address for life. I use Vircurex and love it, but I prefer having a separate address for each transaction. My exchange, RBCex, trades LTC, BTC, BTE, TRC, BQC, and FC; each time you send funds I issue you a unique address to send to; there are no transaction fees. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=172373.0

Is there any way we can get our money back out of this exchange?

Oh and Id love to know how many coins the founders premined! Would you pay me a bounty if I show you how big the premine was, with links to the block explorer to document the facts I provide? If so, how much? I'm not quite sure how this relates to the original post, but by all means, hijack the thread. It's like BTC-e trollbox in messageboard format sometimes, wow. Where was I?, Oh yeah: Feel free to list any projects you feel like working on over the next 30 days. I'm sorry; I was feeding the troll. Didn't mean to hijack the thread. (My post was not a serious request for a bounty; my sarcastic point was that anyone can look at the FC block explorer and see there was no "premine.")

There must be about 10 post in here saying the benefits of FC is that you can get a lot of them faster...
What kind of retarded argument is this ? Count your BTCs in satoshis and if it can make you feel better. I can get Testnet Bitcoins faster than any other crypto coin. Still doesn't benefit me.

A forked chain just for the purpose of testing Bitcoin's resiliency to forks would be interesting and possibly useful. If somebody who had a quantity of coins on the original Bitcoin chain and a significant bit of hashing power started running a modified client, and convinced a few others to join, and conducted some transactions on the forked chain for awhile, it would be interesting to see what it did to the main network and if it reveals anything that needs to be done to make Bitcoin resilient to this as a form of attack.

How about Tor?

sealand is an urban myth, just a guy and a platform
Which is not any different than any other government leaders around the world. They aren't actually special either, and are not ontologically different from you and me. Just a guy, and a bunch of weapons to make his word "law."
