The internet (and also Bitcoin) gives new possibilties, but you will have to proof your concepts, if you ever want to win people's trust to your ideas. I don't care if you trust my ideas or not. Neither one of us has the right to force the other to live by his ideas. This is like saying Rosa Parks has to prove blacks are as good as whites before she can sit where she wants in the bus, and browbeating her for "blaming the current system." Discrediting and blaming the current system is easy, doing it better is very very difficult. Doesn't matter if the "current system" is credited or blamed; doesn't matter if any system is "better" or not. What matters is consent. I don't. |

People should work for what they want. If I want a world without drugs and gambling, does that give me the right to engage in the criminal, immoral act of prohibiting drug use and gambling? I'm thinking there's some sort of language issue here. Anarchy = you don't make the rules! The "-Capitalism" suffix doesn't change that.
Anarchy means there are no rulers. It does not mean there are no laws. There are laws. They are immutable. i.e., in -archy systems, the arch's try to abrogate laws (for example, by giving themselves permission to aggress against life, liberty, and property). What they are doing is criminal, and illegal, but they declare it to be legal. It's been awhile since 1999, but you might remember Palpatine/Darth Sidious: "I will make it legal." Really chilling, when you think about it. A great book regarding law is Whatever Happened to Justice by Richard Maybury. Maybury posits that law is something which can be logically reasoned about and discovered, perfectly or imperfectly. |

1) DVC - requires compiling, and when I run the make command, I get an error "make: g++: Command not found" This problem is likely resolved by installing the appropriate gcc/g++ package(s) for your Linux platform. 6) TRC - only supported on Windows??? Several people have compiled for Linux; you might try the terracointalk.org forum; I think some people have posted their experiences there. |

Personally I don't like the new logo any better than the last one. However it's a matter of personal choice and makes no difference in the grand scheme of things, but anyway that's my input. My logo designer is considering submitting yet another logo if anyone wants it. My thought on the whole matter is that it's completely unprofessional to have launched FC when it was launched, if it was a half-finished project. Actually it's best to release early and often, for peer review. Launching a new client update and logo a mere week or so later strengthens the belief of some that this was nothing but a scheme created in an effort to line pockets of a very few people who were "in the know" about the hurried and secret launch. In other words...any credibility that Feathercoin had in the community is now going to be less because of this. It gives the impression that FC was rushed to launch and is nothing but a cash-grab scheme for the developer and his friends. Same tired disrespectful garbage that comes up over every altcoin. Nobody is forced to use an altcoin. If you have any extras you don't want, of any type, I will gladly take them off your hands. As I've stated before...I couldn't care less! If someone is able to suck some money from the suckers willing to pay it...more power to you! I don't blame anyone for taking advantage of noobs, rubes and boobs that are too stupid to know what they're doing....Hell, that's how all of the wealth in this world is, was and always will be earned! I have bought and sold altcoins of my own free will and volition. I am of sound mind. I consider it disrespectful to call me a noob, rube, boob, or stupid. It may all be true, but it's still disrespectful! Your idea of how wealth is earned is completely off. Wealth is earned by serving people. Anyway...my question was, is this client "update" necessary? If I were the FC developers, I wouldn't waste time answering you after your disrespectful comments above. You can keep on using the previous client if you want, but since you think it's all a plot to take advantage of people, I suggest you delete any FC clients you have. They were all given to you for free, after all, at the expense of other people whom you are now insulting. |
