741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investment in gambling on: February 04, 2024, 12:33:28 PM

Now, the platform is programed on daily interests accumulations which can be withdrawn on daily basis depended on individuals decisions.
I already invested $20 on two of my accounts which I have   also made a total of $26 in less than 3 days through the daily withdrawal methods and yet my daily interests keep accumulating and I am up to make more cashouts. Lol.
At this level, I hope if anything compromised maybe they finally hits on the scammed buttons I am of no lost but has profited. So, I awaits them to do their worse. 😆.

You seem to have understood how Ponzi schemes work as the system for the first arrivals and you have analysed it very well to know you will be among those that will profit before even the scheme hits the rock. Yes Ponzi scheme is usually for the early subscribers and there won't be any need to join when the time for the exit scam is already near. You are lucky to have taking out your initial capital and probably some profit so far.

This is the level States of mind this gambling space has inspired and aspired me to risks bearing. By so doing, I undertake this circumstances to be an investment because it has the potential to yield incomes and otherwise, it is accompanied with a gambling system because it comes with some analytical mindsets with indictments of greeds if not in control of your emotions. So, you either not invest with what you can't afford to loose or you faces emotional breakdowns.

I think being a gambler exposes someone to risk taking including to be in a Ponzi scheme even with knowledge of it not that you are deceived into joining it. As a gambler, the target is usually the cashout that matters just like it is expected also in gambling . So a gambler has the courage already for risk taking, he is not scared of risk and understands the need for emotional control and bearing loses. This is why a Ponzi is already known to a gambler as win or lose.
742  Economy / Economics / Re: are we returning to stone age? on: February 03, 2024, 10:08:44 PM

what I fear most is the lifespan would soon decline to cowboy age where average life of the peasant is about 30yo due to the poor healthcare and knowledge, also based on barbaric cowboy beating each other on street trying to impress girls.

This will not happen with the rules and laws that the state has made for themselves to guide and lead them in their activities as individual countries and as global entity like we have different organizations that creates higher rules that check against human degrading treatment and inhuman acts. Like the UN universal human right declaration by the general assembly. This document ensures that their is dignity to life etc. There are other charters and agreements in other organisations by member countries to ensure human rights etc. So as a country and globally, human lives will not go back to the savagery, nasty, short, brutish as Thomas Hobbes described in his book state of nature.

743  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can government track us. on: February 03, 2024, 08:47:09 PM
If I wanted to know something from people on this community, can government track us if we questions against there rules and laws or if they find it inappropriate.

The government can track your activities and it is easy with centralised system. For instance with your social media handle, it is easy to link you up if they find something they want to investigate in you. The IP is one major ways that they can trace the identity of a user. Government has agencies that are responsible for such IP address investigation.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you invest on this kind of offer? on: February 03, 2024, 07:53:46 PM

I’m thinking about offering a bankroll investment. I will let interested user to invest on my bankroll and share profit. The advantage on this offer is I will refund the investment in case my bankroll loss since I will consider this a loan money without any interest. It’s either share profit or refund but the only catch is all investors need to wait for the certain date which I will set before the investment start.

You may end up losing your bankroll investment and you keep refunding it, why don't you gamble it yourself?

Gambling has no guarantee and you can't hold someone who doesn't have a winning and nothing to share. Well, I have seen this kind of idea in offline gambling where someone provides some games to gamblers to stake and afterwards they request for certain percentage of the expected winning and most times he doesn't get any share when the game fail.

So like you said, it is just hypothetical what you said and I don't think it will work.
745  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Too much pressure on the male child on: February 03, 2024, 03:34:24 PM
In the africa and Asia world the society is expecting a lot from the male child, even in the neighbourhood their is an amount of money you will have the people around will be looking up to you when their is a problem in the neighbourhood.  This is something that we can't escape from. In Africa it is the Duty of a man to take care of his parent and younger ones who still need support.  It is the duty for a man to  provide for his family,  when is unable to provide for his family the society won't give him the respect he deserves. Men are being respected based on how much they can bring to the table.

This way of thinking on the responsibility of the male child in third world countries is now changing. I think globalization is having an effect on these countries. Before now, the female hardly will receive inherited properties from the family but that has changed because they are now inheriting from their parents just like the male child. This is an evidence that the male role in the family is gradually changing and currently the women support their husbands at home financially, some women are also bread winners. If you go to the academic environment, the female folks have flooded it and a testament that things have changed because in the past they say the place of the woman is in the kitchen but that is not happening anymore.
746  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: February 03, 2024, 02:43:52 PM

I remember when I was 23 years old, I said to myself that I should have my own house and lot before I turn 30 years old, but that didn't happen because I said that then because I was one of the members of MLM businesses that made me believe that I would succeed in life. But it didn't work for me.

Talking about savings, this MLM reminds me of it own kind of savings. To me it is not a savings pattern that is reliable in the sense that there is so much hope giving to you to continue in the multi level marketing but at the end it is not worth it. In order words, while we are saving, we need to save in the right direction and not to put our money in scam project in the name of trying to save for the future and it turns out to be a scam project likewise some altcoins will end up as exit scam like most MLM ends up to be a waste of time . Bitcoin investment is the most crypto guarantee investment and savings plan.
747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What remarkable thing have you achieved with the money you won from gambling? on: February 03, 2024, 01:46:50 PM
It has always been money to hangout with nothing too much because I don't gamble as such or depend on it as a source of income or to establish a business. In the past when I won, people around and aware take some bill of the winning and everyone is cool with the moment. The joy of winning is that feeling when people are happy around you and you are able to share with them.
748  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: February 03, 2024, 12:56:32 PM
Hopefully, these people will be able to return the funds that are due to them, according to what the Betnomi team said. I hope that Betnomi will make an announcement on this matter so that their users will not think badly about it.
We all hope that but they haven't refund anyone yet even after announcing that they're going to refund all the users who have lost their funds on Betnomi. They were doing great business back then but once users have lost their funds now it's really hard to trust a platform like that.

However, if they keep up their promises and somehow manage to refund the players then they might get some respect in eyes of those who consider them as scammers. I know they won't be able to regain the trust of the community once again but for sure they will at least be appreciated for the refunds.

First ask yourself or maybe we all should together ask the betnomi team their reason for catering away with funds belonging to their users in the first place, if they know they were going to want to refund their users their money back, why didn't they ask users to withdraw their funds before they shut down the casino?

The question of why they didn't ask users to withdraw their money is like a scammer earlier warning you he would scam you. Betnomi would not inform of such, for them, they got hold of the market with the way they appeared and ran their signature campaign, not many people would hold the believe that they would exit just the way they did.

Now with their announcement of repaying funds of customers, people started giving them chance but with the continuous delay and failure to commence the process of repayment, their reputation is still hanging on the off balance with doubt that they didn't plan this exit. So not until they have redeemed this repayment, they have lost trust from gamblers.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a generous gamblers on: February 03, 2024, 12:14:05 PM

Some gamblers are that generous to avoid questions about their gambling activities and to continue gambling.

No one will give you approval to gamble or to stop gambling because you gift them something and those who gift them are not doing that for the purpose of getting verdict from people. Afterall, nobody gave the gambler money to gamble.

There is difference between being a generous person, a philanthropist and giving to get approval. So I don't believe that people bet for the sake that they gift people to get their approval to continue gambling. It is just the particular person's nature to gift from his volition and not that he is force to do that, he likes to give and if you observe him closely you would see he is not selfish with money in his private life.

How about you? Are you generous and if so, why are you generous?

In my case, I am a little generous because winning is a blessing that should be shared. However, I will not make people feel guilty when I give an amount from my blessing.

Like I understand being generous is an attitude not something that is inebriated because someone won jackpot. Like some people still win and finds it difficult to gift or will never gift but pretend not to win anything rather asking to get from you.
750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: February 03, 2024, 10:51:17 AM
If I have an addict that stays around me and I want to help him, i will first attack his mentality towards and about gambling.

There are obvious stories about gambling that he might not have heard about, I will even create negative imaginations about the downsides of gambling and next will be to engage him as a form of distraction from the regular gambling activities.

A calmer approach is what is needed to create a solution for the addict to go out of his dilemma and not to cause more problem by attacking his mentality. I guess by attacking his mentality you probably meant to tell him negative stories but I bet you such addict have perhaps heard such stories and doesn't have the capacity to stop themselves. Therefore, it goes beyond telling stories but a action, a suiting action that he won't know you are working to take him out and before you know it he is already out of addiction.

No addict wants you to use force on them and if you try and fail, you would probably not get the opportunity to try again because they will keep some distance away from you and try to avoid you, including seeing you as an enemy that is trying to deprive them of their winning as they feel any time they try, they are close to winning which is why they hardly give up by themselves.

752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 02, 2024, 09:22:07 PM
Some people have that phobia to bet offline where they can be communicating and discussing the games that they want to bet, they want that crowd ambience but that should not make someone who has been warned against staying in crowded place to continue risking their lives. Betting from offline and online has difference both advantage and disadvantage, the friend should sacrifice whatever benefit and joy he is deriving from offline to focus on online gambling whose advantages are also enormous and that will preserve his health too. With online betting, at least he will be on low key and no want will be able to monitor him except he discloses his activities on gambling to someone else.
753  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Herbalists Live Longer than Christains on: February 02, 2024, 07:41:49 PM
Most of the things you said may be agreed by some people and disagreed by others. But apart from the reasons you gave that tend to support that Christians die earlier than traditionalist but I don't really accept that myself because I know of some traditionalist who have died younger too. To the morals of healthy living, Christians have changed, they have been reoriented on staying healthy. They go for check-up and are told what they need to keep staying healthy.

755  Economy / Economics / Re: Why does a country borrow money from the world bank even when they can afford it on: February 02, 2024, 04:03:02 PM
It is cheaper to borrow money than to run the cost of printing. For example if you want to print new currency in a country, it is not very cheap especially when the quantity you want to print can as well be given to you/country as borrow and you can quickly get onto the project that it is meant for. In order words, it is faster to use borrowed money to start a project than going through the legislative bottle kneck of printing money. Therefore, apart from the fact that it is cheaper in cost to printing money, it is faster to get things done with the money.

Another possible point is that it is targeted on a particular project or certain project which gives room for accountability assuming it was properly utilized without corruption and going into private pocket.

Another point again is that it makes lesser noise and doesn't raise curiosity in the public sphere only that money is being borrowed than when a government embarks on printing money. If government embarks on printing money, it creates more fear, doubt and uncertainty about what is happening to the economy of that country, perhaps they are being bankrupte or such kind of fear.

Government doesn't really like to print money or it is not really a good economic policy to print money if it is not expedient.

Then , when money is printed, it could increase the inflation rate if not properly managed and controlled. So, it is more serene to hear of borrowing than printing economically.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: February 02, 2024, 02:07:00 PM

But if you use more than 30% of your gambling budget and lose, it's very painful.

To do that takes a big heart and this is not healthy way to gamble. It is a greedy step and someone who is taking such risk should be sure to understand the risk on that because if that fails, the gambler will look very sad. However, there are high stakers that never mind such consequences and will go on to take such risk.

Betting for fun is not when you have used a high risk on your bankroll, you can only have peace with yourself if you have gambled a very low amount incase of losing.
757  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: The cost of federal university fees on: February 02, 2024, 01:29:11 PM
I don't know how far about the student loan that was promised by this administration even though personally I have my negative disliking about it because after the loan, how do you repay where there is no job?

Well about the high cost of education especially in the government owned universities, it will be a miracle if tuition fees are cheaper when other aspect of sector is crashing with inflation. So the educational system is part of the whole gamuts of the challenges of bad leadership and corruption bedevilling the Nigerian economy.
758  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 02, 2024, 07:37:35 AM
The chart is still bullish from Op and that has been the trend over few months from the ending of last year. So I don't see the price going down until the halving in April. The demand for bitcoin is creating more stronger support because more new investors are rushing in for the bull expectation, so they are buying and hodling in expectation of a margin profit.

I expect that this month will also end in bullish candle to lead into stronger support levels for next month in march.
759  Economy / Economics / Re: Business/Entrepreneurship. on: February 02, 2024, 06:46:08 AM

So, if you had the opportunity to invest your money into something would it be to start up something regardless of the amount of risks that come with it, or would you rather open a business or make a simple investment into assets?

Of course before you begin a business venture, you would look into your risk to losses and profit expectation because you don't jump into something you don't have an idea what you will see there. Before you go inside a tunnel you already know it is round in shape, or you don't deep your fingers inside fire. Therefore, every business entrepreneur has to do a survey of the business arena they are going to and see if the capital at hand can even sustain the business at the time it is still going under the teething stage. Usually, businesses are to be allowed 6 months of breathing space without salary, so payment of salary and other miscellaneous are to be provided for before the business starts yielding.
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent have you hated yourself due to your gambling losses? on: February 01, 2024, 09:07:22 PM
I don't feel that way because of losing because I understand gambling is not what you will be optimistic about to win but however, I do feel very bad if I allow a cash out to disappear in my eyes  Grin and I ended up losing the game. This happens in football when the cash out is available and I become indecisive to go for the smaller profit against waiting for the full payment, thus losing such makes me feel bad and regretful.
