Since the address is encoded into the URL, my ISP could merely save the places I have visited recently, and bam, someone would know "bitcoin addresses of interest" to me.
There's a URL for that. Use SSL (https://) - https://blockexplorer.com - https://blockchain.infoUsing https, only the domain IP address is left unencrypted and exposed should your ISP happen to do packet inspection. The path part and the rest of the URL are protected using SSL encryption.

Similar activity (Mt. Gox locking accounts and claiming bitcoins deposited were derived from stolen funds) allegedly occurring following the Linode hack (of wallets at Bitcoinica, Slush, Faucet / etc.): Hi,
We have noticed you have deposited recently 7 BTC and have a reason to believe those coins may have come from the coins stolen from Bitcoinica (see the bitcointalk forum for more details).

Does Paypal hates any kind of exchange service, or is it just bitcoin?
It varies. Second Life Lindens (SLL) from Linden Labs can be purchased using PayPal through VirWoX -- if you don't mind the fees. But otherwise, almost no exchanges between digital currency or similar to PayPal and then stay open very long. For example: - http://www.paysafecard2paypal.com/paysafecard_en.html

I got no emails or anything. What should i do?
Check your spam folder as well, perhaps the change password message got routed there. I contacted mtgox and waiting.
Assuming this was a support ticket you opened, then you can check an existing request here: - https://support.mtgox.com/requestsIf they haven't yet responded, there's not much you can do. If there's no response after a reasonable amount of time (e.g., maybe one business day and the ticket has not yet been addressed) then perhaps you can escalate with some prodding on the #mtgox IRC channel on Freenode.

Expect some traffic. The operator of InstaWallet has announced that the service will be shutting down. - https://www.instawallet.org/static/notice.htmlOne of the challenges InstaWallet faced was performance problems using bitcoind with so much activity occurring. Is BtcBuckets going to be able to scale?

Thank you Jav for having created the concept of an anonymous online instant e-wallet service. I am reminded of the utility of InstaWallet each time I want to hand out a small, sample amount of bitcoins to someone who I wouldn't expect would install the Bitcoin client or to immediately create an account at an exchange. The service will be missed. I do see that there is a similar service now available. Their "Instant Bucket" is pretty similar in functionality to an InstaWallet: - https://www.btcbuckets.comSome of these wallets are held by those who won't learn of this shutdown notice. Without any way to notify them, some will lose their coins. Even though the site mentioned recommended usage was only for "small change", I suspect there are some InstaWallets that hold significant amounts. Would there be some way for wallets (maybe just those over a certain amount) be claimable for an extended period of time?

There is a question posted asking if InstaWallet is experiencing any problems: - http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=66984.0Is something wrong with the site? I'm missing money. And I keep getting a bad gateway message.
I'm suspecting the user cannot post here yet due to n00b status, so I'm posting this on that person's behalf.

OK, in this case I have to put it another way. I will move the money (not very much) to the first exchange that implements nominal US$ transfers between members. Also I am ready to pay a reasonable fee for each transfer.
I don't know of any exchanges that offer that. If you are both in the U.S., one method would be to simply withdraw USD from the exchange into Dwolla and then do a Dwolla account-to-account (A2A) transfer. Then the recipient can simply move the funds from Dwolla back into the same exchange (e.g., Mt. Gox). The total cost is $0.25 to you and $0.25 to them. And the turnaround time is from just a few minutes to about under an hour, depending on the timing of some cron jobs. Since you aren't ultimately trying to do a bank transfer then neither Dwolla account even needs to have a bank account linked to it then (though if the amount is large enough or other situations exist then Dwolla may ask for proof of identity). Outside the U.S. you can try about the same tactic using Liberty Reserve as the intermediary. There are delays and fees though when using LRUSD.

The green light is on! If you didn't get an email, login to PMF and you will see the payment instructions.
It went green being oversubscribed by 45 shares (115% level reserved), thanks to the limit increase a few days ago where the max per-person changed from $25 to $50 (max 5 shares changed to max 10 shares). This was my first transaction where the merchant was using Bit-Pay. That worked quite slick. After I sent payment and refreshed the Bit-Pay invoice page showed a "Bitcoins Paid" field that showed the amount I had just sent. I got an e-mail from PirateMyFilm after the transaction confirmed (6 confirmations it seems) and when I viewed the project page when logged in it shows my payment status properly. i.e., all good, I'm now a paid-up and fully registered shareholder for this project! - http://www.piratemyfilm.com/projects/304

There is no information about who and when has redeemed them, sorry.
That information is recorded and accessible by Mt. Gox, and (presumably) reported as part of their their aml compliance. But you as the sender aren't made aware of that, correct. Though you don't know when, you can tell if they've been redeemed (as you can cancel any code that hasn't yet been redeemed).

Aren't some gains earned in USDs? Either way, I don't think it matters for AML reporting purposes. Other exchanges, for instance, have daily limits that apply to withdrawals of BTCs just as they do for withdrawals of USDs. Probably what is happening is that the service is not responding on their policy because that policy is still being developed.
