I got a response from MagicalTux on IRC when i inquired. If I knew the ticket # at the time he could have taken a look at it himself. Do you have a ticket # from Kalyhost support?

From IMTFI (The Institute for Money, Technology and Financial Inclusion at the University of California, Irvine): This call for proposals is open to all researchers who work in the developing world. Researchers are encouraged to submit proposals that involve a partnership with universities or other organizations in the developing world. Deadline for submission: January 9, 2012. Decisions will be announced by mid-March 2012. IMTFI is soliciting proposals for original scholarly research on mobile money services and platforms, the harnessing of new and existing social and technological infrastructures to promote savings and other forms of value storage and the facilitation of payments at scale for poor people in the developing world. Research will focus on whether and how mobile money, agent networks, or other new systems for money savings and transfer are improving poor people’s ability to handle the setbacks and structural conditions that pull them into or keep them in poverty. IMTFI is most keenly interested in value storage as is combined with payment capability (medium of exchange) and in how new types of value storage and exchange media have the potential to be transformative in the lives of the poor. Value storage might include state-issued currency but also livestock, land, gifts of labor, jewelry and other valuables, cards, and the use of mobile phones or other electronic devices. Research proposals are especially welcomed that address elements of mobile money as a platform. That is: how is mobile money, as a hardware and software architecture, serving as a foundation for new services and functions? Or, how does it have the potential to do so? - http://www.imtfi.uci.edu/imtfi_cfp2011

Interesting. Why did you choose to not include a chain?
A gold chain would add to the price, and is something many people already have or can buy locally quite easily.

Taking orders for pendant jewelry as shown in the photos below. The pendant is a 14K gold coin bezel. Held inside the bezel is a 1 BTC Casascius physical bitcoin. The bezel itself, not including the Casascius coin, weighs 1.7 grams. This does not include a chain. A jeweler will be making your pendent after your order so I may not be able to ship for up to five business days after your order is placed. The price is $129.99 payable in bitcoins. The price including shipping and handling (U.S.) At the current exchange rate, that is about: 33.5 BTC. PM me for the price and bitcoin address. I will ship internationally -- PM me for rates and terms.

Not sure where you are getting your numbers. Try these: - http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/intrsngGBP_depth.html At this time - Bid: 2.52 GBP, Ask: 2.56 - http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/intrsngEUR_depth.html At this time - Bid: 3.00 EUR, Ask: 3.05 Of course, the order books can't handle a lot of volume without the price moving but the spreads for these two currencies are usually respectible. The spreads with the other two currencies Intersango supports, USD and PLN, can gap. At this time the spread for USD is just a few cents between the bid and ask though.

NameCheap opposes SOPA. They tweeted: "Unlike the competition, we oppose SOPA because we believe in internet freedom. Transfer your domains over for $6.99 with code SOPASucks." - http://www.namecheap.com

Actually, cell phones are the great equalizer: - http://businesstoday.intoday.in/story/innovation-m-pesa/1/20189.htmlThey don't use m-pesa as a store of value. But they could use bitcoins as a store of value (though there is a lot of volatility with bitcoin yet). Either way, fees to the carrier suck out a chunk of each m-pesa transaction. Bitcoin fees are trivially small in comparison, once you already have converted from fiat. Bitcoins can be used by mobile users, both businesses and customers.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us. May we ask if you recently made a Dwolla deposit? Can you please verify whether your Dwolla account is a US one or not?
Thanks,
MtGox.com Team

Hi,
I initiated my last Dwolla deposit on 10/25/2011, this Dwolla account is US based because I have been in the US until August 2011.
Thanks, <RealName hidden>
Perhaps we can crowdsource a solution. The question and your response raise a flag though. Is there issues as far as where you are located? Had you been in the U.S. at the time the Dwolla funds were deposited through the time they were transferred to Mt. Gox? - http://help.dwolla.com/customer/portal/articles/87276-can-i-use-dwolla-outside-the-u-s-

I have noticed that even though the value of BTC in terms of USD is going up in the past few days, the value on the Market Data graph shown on tradehill doesn't change for the INR currency.
As a result of this, BTC value in INR remains static and a loss for the people who want to withdraw funds in this currency. Is there a reason why this is so
There was a tiny bit of trading activity recently. Here's the one month chart: - http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/thINR#rg30ztgSzm1g10zm2g25zvConsidering the INR/USD conversion, the order book currently shows the BTC/INR bid of 155 to be similar to about a $3 BTC/USD buy order and the BTC/INR ask of 225 to be similar to about a $4.25 USD sell order. The reason that spread is so wide is because there hasn't been bidders that have increased their bids. At the same time, the INR/USD has been collapsing making the 155 bid go from possibly being competitive a few days ago to being a poor price today. It is striking how much potential there is for Bitcoin in India and how little interest the currency has seen. From remittance payments, to online purchases and more -- India should be (and likely will be some day) a Bitcoin powerhouse.

tl;dr; Customers may no longer send and receive payments in precious metal. Dear Customer, We are writing to advise you of a change of services we currently offer to our customers with a Full Holding. Since the launch of GoldMoney in 2001, we have continued to change and adapt to the global increase of compliance requirements for payment service providers. Due to this growing trend of regulation we have decided to suspend the following services until further notice with an effective date of the 21st January 2012: * The facility to make and receive payments in precious metals to or from other GoldMoney Full Holding customers. * The facility to convert directly between the various currencies. Basic Holding owners do not have access to these features and are therefore not affected by this change. Our research has proven that our customers' use of the metal payments and currency exchange services is not significant and we trust that the suspension of these services will not be inconvenient for the majority of our customers. In accordance with our Customer Agreement, we are providing advance notice of this change to our services that will take effect on the 21st January 2012 at 12am local London time (GMT). You will be able to make metal payments and currency exchanges up to this date. We continue to provide a secure and reliable platform for the purchase, sale and storage of your precious metals. This includes enhancing our systems, introducing and adjusting our products and services, and making our website the most effective tool for managing your precious metals portfolio. With this in mind, we have prepared a brief survey to gauge your interest in current products and also possible future products we may introduce, depending on the feedback we receive from you. The survey can be completed at the link below. All feedback received is anonymous unless you choose to provide us with your contact details. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/goldmoneyWe thank you for your continued business, and we will sincerely appreciate any feedback to help us determine the products and services that are of most interest to you. Kind regards Your Relationship Management Team - http://www.thebitcointrader.com/2011/12/goldmoney-is-no-longer-money.html
