761  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buying BTC now, the best option ??? on: April 03, 2023, 03:13:31 AM
With the knowledge of the 4-year cycle, and the history of Bitcoin price and how bearish and bullish market transitioned, it is not only worth considering but rather one of the best options of investment if we invest in BTC right now.  As far as I can consider, we are still on the last stage of bear market so the possibility of getting huge return of investment in the next 2 years is very huge.
It is good time to accumulate Bitcoin in a bear market that usually has two years span before a new bull run. Bitcoin will have its next halving in 2024 and in its history, it has never failed to have a big bull run after each halving and even made its new all time high.

Assume it will fail to make a new all time high (higher than $69,000) in 2024 bull run, even it just tries to climb to $60,000 or around $69,000, it will give you very great profit already. More than doubling your portfolio if you buy your bitcoin today and hold it till $60,000+.

Quote
So I would say that it is a no brainer to invest in BTC right now.
What does it mean? We must thoughtful with our investment decision.

Quote
True, we should take the opportunity to buy Bitcoin at a discount.  We don't know when will be the last time to see Bitcoin at this price.  We might never see Bitcoin to revisit this price again just like when we are on the sideline watching people buying Bitcoin at sub $1000 price years ago.
Every dip in a bear market is a great discount for a next bull run. Especially dips when price is about 1/2 or 1/3 from all time high in a previous bull run.
762  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with stock on: April 03, 2023, 03:05:47 AM
When it comes to investing, it's important to be careful and think about the long-term. Cryptocurrency or non-cryptocurrency related,
this is because the market can go up and down at any time. By staying up-to-date and making wise choices, people can increase their chances of making more money and reaching their financial objectives.
Investing must be started and maintained with a long term vision and long term plan. You can not invest successfully without strong belief in something you want to invest in, and without long term vision and plan.

Trading is different than investing and it relates to shorter time windows. Because you can not control things in life in your nation and over the globe, things in economic, politics, regulatory areas so trading should be with short time window. You must have clear plan that they can exit market immediately when you need to cut loss to protect your capital.

However, no one can time the market so trading potentially leads to loss rather than profit.
763  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: @Active Members of Bitcointalk: Why have you created an Account here? on: April 02, 2023, 10:54:39 AM
If you search about Bitcoin and find forum for Bitcoin discussions, I am sure with you a first search result would be Bitcointalk.org because it is a biggest forum for Bitcoin talk/ discussions.

Cryptotalk is a forum which was advertised on Bitcointalk years ago in 2018 or 2019 with support from Yobit team. That campaign initially was managed by Yobit team and caused massive spam on the forum. Later, Yobit account was banned here and Yobit (Cryptotalk) participants were banned a few weeks or months too (the more report against their spam posts, longer ban time). Later Cryptotalk campaign was managed by yahoo62278.

Long story, short note, by their campaign here, you can easily see what is a bigger forum between Bitcointalk and Cryptotalk.

764  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is it good to rely on order books or depth charts on: April 02, 2023, 07:29:49 AM
Many people decide by seeing depth charts that what the price will be in future, but the orders are constantly changing many people cancel and change orders many times,
then why this wall observer thread is opened, does it important to see the order wall or depth chart?
They are Buy walls and Sell walls and because in this market, there are manipulations so you will have fake buy walls as well as fake sell walls. When whales don't want price to move beyond a range, they will set those fake walls to prevent people buy or sell to make price moves beyond that area. When they want price to move beyond it, they will cancel their previous orders (walls) and lift it up or down a little bit.

Quote
mostly price movements occur on market price which is due to intuitional buying or selling,
It is not true. Institutional entities can trigger the market with their capital but they do it gradually and when you see price moves up or down a lot, it is because of forced liquidations.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 01, 2023, 08:05:21 AM
Manchester City FC VS Liverpool FC

The Stake odds for this game are 1.65 for Manchester City, 4.20 for a draw, and 5.20 for Liverpool, Right now Phil Foden, can not play for Man City and
Erling Haaland is doubtful if he can play for Man City while Naby Keita, Stefan Bajcetic, Calvin Ramsay, Thiago Alcantara, and Luis Díaz can not play for Liverpool, and Rhys Williams, K. Tsimikas, Darwin Núñez, and Jordan Henderson are all doubtful if he can play for the Liverpool, so this game I think the Manchester City will win for sure, but because of the odds I will not bet for this game,
1 year after direct race with Manchester City for Premier League title, Liverpool again will have a big match with them to prevent Manchester City taking the trophy. This time, they are not direct competitor for title but can help Arsenal to take it and make Manchester City as a failed competitor.

With the given odds, I will pick a draw for Liverpool because there is not big difference between a draw and a win for Liverpool but it's easier for them to have a draw than a win. Honestly I believe Liverpool are able to take one point from Manchester City even they have many injured players like your list.

Beyond this match, will it be able to help Arsenal expand the gap to 7 points with this draw and a win for Arsenal?
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin transaction is irreversible. on: April 01, 2023, 04:25:17 AM
But this has its own advantages and disadvantages, just like a bank's reversibility feature. In other words, this is actually a double-edged sword. With a Bitcoin transaction, there is only a very small room for error. If you failed to double-check the address you will be sending Bitcoin to, for example, and you sent it to the wrong address, you might not get your Bitcoin back. In a bank transaction, you may have it reversed. The same goes to fraudulent transactions. The way Bitcoin transactions are designed, it is somewhat unforgiving to mistakes.
Because Bitcoin transaction is irreversible, when you sent it and it has confirmations, your coin gone forever. You can not reverse the blockchain to get your coin back, it is impossible.

To avoid mistake when sending, on online accounts, you can use WhiteList address feature. In your non-custodial wallet, you can label that address.

However, always double check on exchanges to make sure your WhiteListing is correct. Checking is about 1 minute but you will be safe and won't lose your coins by mistake.
In your wallet, if you labeled that address, when you click Pay, you will have another chance to check that address, again spend about 1 minute for double check.

Dust Attack, what it is, why it is dangerous and how to prevent falling to it. Make sure you understand Coin Control feature to use it effectively against Dust attacks too.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying bills with digital currency cards, gift cards on: April 01, 2023, 03:44:56 AM
If you buy gift cards from official sources or stores, it is safe but if you buy them from secondary market, you will have higher risk.

With secondary market, you will have discounted price for gift cards that is attractive but never forget risk of buying used gift card, error one ... Gift cards are more relevant for gamers than non gamers. Gamers check out gift cards to use in games and they always look for discounted price to save their cost when playing games and buy in-game items.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 31, 2023, 11:44:38 PM
Manchester City's first match after the international break, against Liverpool, is as important to them as the league is to them right now. Knowing that they have Arsenal ahead of them in points to contend for the league title will obviously boost their confidence to win the game. Liverpool have been poor this season, and losing to Manchester City will not come as a surprise, so I don't expect the game to be as great to watch tomorrow.
International break and FIFA days are bad for big clubs that have many players were called for national duties and some of them have to play in those matches. Even they didn't play, traveling time and training with their national teams make their body exhausted and sometimes can cause injuries too.

Liverpool generally have poor performance in this season but matches with Manchester City are always important for Liverpool. It's big match for their club pride and they never want to lose it against Manchester City. Especially in the last few seasons, Jurgen Klopp successfully built up a strong and competitive Liverpool to challenge Manchester City and other big clubs for Premier League title.

This coming match is exciting as Liverpool started to see their chance of participating in top four is nearly and they will fight with their best to beat Manchester City. The only aim is taking three points after the final whistle.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Volatility on: March 31, 2023, 11:30:22 PM
Bitcoin's volatility is one of its features that turns off a lot of people.
It is able to turn on or turn off some people that depends on types of people. People who can abuse it to get profit will like it but people who get loss with it will turn themselves off after losing dramatic capital.

Always true that the market is a zero-sum game and money does not automatically appear more or less, it only moves from one to another person and change between accounts or pockets.

Quote
When someone expresses interest in investing, the majority of financial counselors advise them to avoid doing this. Because it is one of the most volatile assets ever, I believe that is why the adage "invest only what you can afford to lose" exists.
Investment and trading is risky and risk means potentially loss so that advice is true. It is helpful for you to force yourself to be more prepared before joining by learning more, practicing with demo accounts more.

Quote
My query is: How will Bitcoin's volatility diminish over time, or what is the single biggest element that could result in a reduction in Bitcoin's volatility?
More regulations, bigger trading volume, less effects from fuds by better regulations enforced, less impacts from Bitcoin halvings.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about this bitcoin awareness in Frankfurt? on: March 31, 2023, 03:13:58 PM
I already wrote my message in WO -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg62008873#msg62008873

I'm just interested in whether it's legal to make such projections on private or state buildings and whether those who do it can have problems because of it?
They should have agreement from government and those building operators to make projections without issues with building owner, operator and citizens inside.

I don't think it is smart idea if making projections without any agreement or license. It becomes more sensitve if projected images are about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency that are not accepted in all people and locations.

Normally people think those projections as arts but if it is about Bitcoin, some people would think about scam and might havd unfriendly reactions.
771  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽🎮🎲 Coinplay.com | Brand New Crypto Sportsbook & Casino on: March 31, 2023, 03:08:21 PM

Hello GekkeBelg,

As you've suggested, we'll be sharing the pertinent information about your case with a third-party - Askgamblers, for an unbiased assessment. Thank you for your patience as we move through this process.
It is a good move to show CoinPlay want to resolve the case with engagement of a third party. When your team accepted to go through this process, you are ready to make payment if AskGambler support the user.

If AskGambler support your team, the case will be perfectly closed and in both situations, you will be able to protect your reputation.
772  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - #1 VIP Crypto Casino on: March 31, 2023, 02:47:31 PM

And its fascinating how these scammers manage to get the emails from the customers of the casino. This email phishing will be prevented if the scammer doesn’t hold the email of potential customer.

I’m assuming that this email is acquired through phishing on random giveaways and etc.
Data breaches are not to scarce and you can check your email pwned risk with https://haveibeenpwned.com/

I don't instantly believe in what I received in my email and if I am interested in information in my email, I will check website, Twitter or Telegram group for confirmations that information is official, not from scammers.

Even official website can be hacked and some services can be compromised so confirming it on different channels is better. It's risky to believe in one source of information and put your account and money at risk to be stolen.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 30, 2023, 04:54:26 PM
Chelsea, Milan and Inter are the three teams that in my opinion don't have a good chance of advancing further for the semifinals and also the final. Because teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Napoli and Benfica are teams that at this moment look better and have more chances for good results too.
I agree that Real Madrid, Napoli are clearly stronger than Chelsea and AC Milan but I disagree that Benfica are too stronger than Inter Milan. Those clubs are the same in quality and I am not surprise if Inter Milan or Benfica become winner after final whistle for their quarter finals.

What is idea to put Bayern Munich and Manchester City together? They will have to eliminate each other in quarter finals.

Guardiola will have an even harder game this time against Bayern Munich because he maybe has some knowledge about how Bayern Munich performed before but after they hired Tuchel, they surely changed the tactics and it can make it harder for Guardiola to know how they are going to play in champions league which can make this game more unpredictable.
Guardiola will have unwanted matches with his ex-club and it comes after Bayern impressively eliminated PSG in a previous stage, round of 16.

Bayern Munich do understand about Pep tactics and some of Bayern players grew up under Pep management a few seasons ago. They will use their knowledge about Pep to beat him and Manchester City in quarter finals. It will not be friendly welcome of Bayern for Pep and Manchester City in Germany.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Was the Only Cryptocurrency? on: March 30, 2023, 03:10:35 PM
You don't have time travelling machine so you can not revert time and change what happened in history.

Bitcoin was created and it motivated other developers to create altenative cryptocurrencies to make the cryptocurrency ecosystem bigger. It helps the adoption of this ecosystem gets bigger and at faster rate.

If Bitcoin is only cryptocurrency, this market will be smaller and nobody wants it. Having multiple options is the best we can have in life and the world don't need only US dollar or Bitcoin. It must have other fiat currencies and other cryptocurrencies as well.
775  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which exchanges are the quickest to validate ID/accounts - UK Resident on: March 30, 2023, 11:17:17 AM
My answer can be general but let's go with general fact.

Service support for users will be quick or slow depends on their human resources as well as technical resources they have to handle customer request from KYC verification, withdrawal to support ticket. Generally speaking, everything takes time but if you have good resources, you will handle it faster than if you have limited resources and are temporarily overloaded.

So let's consider Tier-1 exchanges and see what exchange can serve you best.

Kucoin exchange is non-KYC and fortunately they support EUR and GBP trading pairs.
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Laszlo Hanyecz see it as 10,000 BTC or as $41? on: March 30, 2023, 02:08:45 AM
I believe that Laszlo saw his 10,000 bitcoin as $41 and not as 10,000 BTC.
10 Years After Laszlo Hanyecz Bought Pizza With 10K Bitcoin, He Has No Regrets

We can not know he told the truth about what he felt but to make his life and our life easier, we should consider things simply. If we sell something, we get an amount of money it deserves at that moment and here we go with the deal. No need to look back and regret just like Laszlo said in the interview.

Bitcoin in 2010 and in 2023 are different in its adoption, transaction volume, trading volume and its market price. Like in 2010, being able to sell your bitcoins to something physically is magic. If you see farther in the past, our ancestors even use shells as mean of payment but nowadays, it no longer has such value.
777  Economy / Gambling / Re: Neodice.com | Futuristic Dice Platform 🎲 on: March 29, 2023, 02:52:48 PM
I agree with that, it's a good time for a new game. And maybe some promotion, cashback/rackeback, or any kind of loyalty program... more features make the whole gambling experience a lot more interesting. It's what attracts players to come and stay in some casinos.
Bear market is good for promotion as people feel boring with market, and will find alternatives to hunt for chances and get money or they simply want to play games for entertainment only.

They usually have more time for playing games in bear market than in bull run when they are more busy with trading, looking for hidden gems.

Quote
Autobetting looks interesting, but a 100 sats min bet is pretty high for my standards when it comes to running auto with BTC. I guess I will try some quick sessions, but sometimes I like to let it run... and for that, I like to start with some really low bets.
100 sats for min bet is high and Neodice can reduce it to half, 50 sats look to be good.

With autobet, bet intensity is high and gamblers will not want to set it up with too high value.
778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you got rid of to accumulate Bitcoin on: March 29, 2023, 02:37:15 PM
If those land tiles are your properties and you don't use it for agriculture, cultivation, and don't have plans to use them in near future. Selling them is not a bad idea as Bitcoin is in its bear market and next year, a new bull run likely will come with a next block reward halving.

After taking profit in 2024, you can use money to buy those land tiles back. I guess they won't increase too much in value as consequences of Pandemic and economic recession globally and locally.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 29, 2023, 02:27:11 PM
True, even though Arsenal are already in first place in the standings, all this is still not over, they still have to show their best match against Leeds next week. I assume Arsenal will appear violent against Leeds to get 3 points, considering the last matches of these two clubs were full of drama and counterattacks.
If Leeds manages to get 1 point and draw, I don't think this is too bad for Leeds who are still at the bottom of the table and I'm sure Arsenal will be able to win this match.
Arsenal still have some big matches ahead and they do want to get maximum points from non big matches. I don't think Arsenal will fail in all of three big matches with Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea but it is good if they can avoid losing points to other clubs.

Leeds United are no longer strong as same as the first season they promoted to Premier League several seasons ago. Struggling at table bottom is bad and they will not able to get points from Arsenal. However, as FIFA days just ended, Arsenal will have one more issue to worry. Hopefully their international players were not impacted a lot by FIFA days.

Facing Liverpool in the opening in April and having to keep picking up points is a tough burden. Pep Guardiola doesn't want the games they have until the end of the season to be bad results. Liverpool will try to block the move of Manchester City.
Manchester City have disadvantage in their race with Arsenal. They have 5 points less, have to play in Champions League but they will have one big match with Arsenal. If they fail or just can not beat Arsenal and have a draw, they will see the trophy moving away to Arsenal hands.
780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything is cyclical and repetitive. Bitcoin is no exception on: March 28, 2023, 03:15:25 PM
No matter how we study the past or the pattern of bitcoin movement it will definitely be hard to get an accurate predictions but just a mere guess that could coincide.
You can not predict price correctly every time you make your prediction but you can see the market psychological cycle repeats itself many times. That psychological cycle is similar for all financial markets and cryptocurrency market is not exception.

If you zoom out and have long vision, you will be able to use this cycle easily and get profit from it. You don't have to mind about short term and get frustrated with bad news in bear market.

Quote
The earliest predictions has always been there’s always a huge pump when an halving is close by or after each Halving. But also bitcoin price is also been hit by economic factors from government policies, recession and also aggravated FUDs during either collapse of commercial banks or top exchanges. This or many could affect the price of bitcoin either negatively or positively, so it definitely hard to get an almost near certainty in its predictions.
Halving effect is great and see past cycles with past halvings. Societies, policies, economy are different among past three halvings but do you see their similarities with price growth on the chart?

I know in short term, bad news and fud are really frustrating and impact your emotion and life quality a lot if you are betting with leverage and have to face with forced liquidations. Else if you just hold your bitcoins, your life would be more easily and less stressful.
