I registered for pittythepool over 12 hours ago, and STILL no confirmation email. im guessing it's to late now to throw my 20gh at the pool. moving on.
Did you check spam folder? I've seen a few people say it was in there. It's definitely not too late to hop on, it's only been live for 2 days, no better time to jump in than now yeap checked spam folder several times, no mail for me lol I have responded to all requests received so far for folks not receiving their confirmation emails, if you are still having problems with your account at PityThePool, please use the "Contact" form on the pool website, these *do* actually go to a real person http://ben.pitythepool.com/index.php?page=contactform*edit* Confirmation emails going to your spam folder is VERY common, please check there first!

What do you actually need though? The underlying coin works perfectly, any changes to that we can perform... the day to day marketing doesn't necessarily have to be my sole responsibility... the community demands no premine but doesn't necessarily understand the consequences of it.
Involvement, communication, some sortof plan. I agree your coin works perfectly, and I applaud you for having a very nice website, block explorer and pool working at launch, all three of which are generally lacking on nearly all new coin announcements these days. But it seems you are mistakenly assuming that you can just "release the coin to the public" and let the community do most of the work. In "normal" currencies like US Dollars or GBP, a large portion of the currencies' perceived value comes from the people's faith and trust in the government that issues it. For crypto-currencies, it's faith and trust in the developer(s) who released it. The crypto-currency world moves fast. Disappearing from the forums for 10 days is like Tim Cook disappearing from Apple for like 10 months . . . word gets out, everybody freaks the hell out and wonders WTF is going on, is this project abandoned, etc. There are obviously some community members obviously willing to get involved (myself included) but guidance is required - and when the guy who released the coin, controls the OP and owns the domain name disappears everything kinda comes to a halt. So, the question is, do you have some sortof master plan - development of additional services, games, sites that accept PirateCoin, some sortof niche market you are hoping to appeal to?

People please ask around to see if anyone wants to create another Mining Pool for this coin (We kind of need one)
I must admit I agree, as much as I appreciate all the hashrate coming to ben.pitythepool.com it would be good to have a few more choices available to spread the load around. Just keep this thread active, other pool operators will notice and join in.

I see, and about a dozen more, great! Payout scripts run every minute, blocks are credited after 120 confirms.

solo mining is best if you're getting blocks Whats wrong with p2pool? Its so much better than those sign-up sites ( i think anyways ) I'll bet these guys in the p2pool are making a hell of alot more BEN than some non-p2pool mining pool Maybe silly, but I'd rather get 1 payout an hour of 1,500 coins rather than 1 payout every 10 seconds of like 40 coins. I think P2Pools unnecessarily bloat the blockchain with tons of unneeded transactions. I have two pools running for scrypt coins already (KittehCoin and PirateCoin), I will try to get an MPOS instance running for Benjamins

Wow. you guys are working the hell out the p2pool the found blocks list is getting very very long. you guys are finding blocks like every second or two it seems You all getting lots of BEN(jamins) Yup. Gave up solo mining, but the P2Pool is working OK (even though I normally don't like p2pools)

Any coins with POS paying weekly/monthly? Most all I've found are yearly.
Pennies [CENT] pays every 9 days if I remember correctly. Not sure what the pos payout is (it was changed a few weeks ago) but they are about as cheap as you can get on Cryptsy.

I would like to formally request your consideration in adding KittehCoin (MEOW) to the CoinMarket.io BTC market. This coin was originally launched in Dec 24, 2013 but the release was a little premature - the coin still needed some work. Since that day, myself and ELEVEN OTHERS have formed a solid development team and we are working to "re-release" the coin with an updated client, great new features, merchants accepting MEOW, games, gambling and more. The relaunch has been slated for February 3. We are currently listed on CoinedUp and the last few days have shown as much as 300-600BTC daily trading volume (WOW!). We would very much like a listing to appear on your exchange to coincide with our launch date of February 3, or perhaps the next day, February 4. The coin's original launch thread is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=383068.0Latest community status update (including dev team roster, list of new features, etc.): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=432580.0Please let me know your thoughts, and thank you for your consideration. Best, Mortimer452 - TeamKittehCoin
