761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Life on Bitcoin movie trailer on: May 27, 2015, 06:54:39 AM
Awesome! I can't wait to see the movie. Does anyone know if you can pay for it in Bitcoin? Will it be a watch and tip like the other one?
If we must use fiat that would suck.

A few impressions about the new wallet:

Main new layout features:

  • Main Categories and SubCategories (Wallet, Mining, etc...)
  • Constantly visible Header (with information about amount of SPR in your wallet and Recent Notifications)
  • Very similar design between Windows, Mac and Linux.(Using a design template with little differences between systems)
  • New Splashscreen
  • New OverView Screen (Welcoming Screen). To be discussed what we want to put there. (Maybe general information and reminders --> "you haven't made a backup in the last 10 days", etc...)

Main technical features:

  • VanityAddress-Generator
  • Additional Graph NetHashRate in Mining Info Screen
  • New DNS Seeder + Full Nodes embedded

Will be ready very soon.

Stay tuned.
I really love the new wallet georgem, great work!
Is there an ETA for release? I can't wait to generate my vanity address. Smiley

Seems like BCT is back?

Everybody, don't forget to create new passwords.
I changed my password when it was back before you posted this but it looks like Theymos reset the forum so now my posts are gone and my password is not changed like it used to be.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming on the Blockchain on: May 21, 2015, 08:34:15 PM
Director Andrew Wagner has just begun a series of reviews of cryptocurrency, blockchain, and decentralization-based video games. It's called Gaming on the Blockchain; the first review is of Moonga, which is putting its online trading cards on the Bitcoin blockchain as smart property.

Check it out: http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/04/26/blockchain-gaming-moonga/
Has he heard of Motocoin?
The whole currency is run by a small moto simulation game. In this case, the blockchain is a game.
Too bad the dev left and the website expired.  Embarrassed

Is there going to be a Vanity Gen inside the wallet?  Grin

Yes.

Yessss!! I have been waiting for this for a long time!
Which tab will it be in?

Is Spreadcoin the first coin to have Vanity Gen inside the wallet?
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (official thread) on: May 21, 2015, 08:16:06 PM
I wonder what other tutorials I can do.

You can explain the new features of the wallet.
I'll have it finished this week for sure. But it could get saturday/sunday.
Is there going to be a Vanity Gen inside the wallet?  Grin

Is this a mas servicendode update?
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (official thread) on: May 21, 2015, 08:08:56 PM

Excellent work, I hope to see more and more tutorials from you!

Thanks guys. I still have the servicenode setup tutorial to do but hopefully I can use some material from the node video for it.

I wonder what other tutorials I can do.

That's what usually happens with copper phone lines since ADSL & ADSL+2 both run of that ancient stuff, when water/moisture gets in the ISP exchange it causes all hell till they fix it.

A few weeks back some knob joecky cut through a main fibre optic line and cutoff all Telstra mobile, broadband & whoever rents Telstras lines & cables, I had to go buy a vodafone wifi usb stick to get me by for 3 days.
Damn, that sucks. How do you know about this?
They really need to upgrade the cables and technology.

When growing up we had a 56K modem but could only connect at 28.8kbps max no matter what and had constant dropouts no-matter the ISP, we also had phone problems & still do with the home phone.

It is because the copper deteriorates & the signal weakens in layman's terms.
Phone problems?
Hmm. This probably won't help but if I plug my modem-router straight into the phone line the incoming calls are sometimes not connected. But if it goes through an adsl/phone line splitter, it works fine. I found out when I connected my modem into a wall socket and ran a 10m phone line into my room so I didn't use wi-fi and had less lag in games. My dad said he called home a dozen times and it only rang one of the times.

We also have a T-box in our household so anything we stream from Bigponds features and channels are free anyway, Pretty good if you want to get Presto and you get 6 months free Presto subscription with no upfront charges if you are already a Bigpond customer.
Really? How do you get it? I have a T-box and I saw the new Presto menu but I never looked into it.

Just google Presto and Bigpond deal, its a good deal since its free streaming for Bigpond customers when used on your Bigpond ISP line or WIFI.

I think there is recommended specs as well for good performence e.g 10mbps ISP connection.
Ok, well surprisingly I can still stream HD movies, but only when no one else is using the internet.

NBN is cheap but only good if you can get it in your area & that is unheard of where we are e1ghtSpace.
I have looked on the NBN map and places close to where I live are getting NBN. Mostly the new houses.

Sorry, I can't talk anymore, I need to sleep. Talk to you tomorrow.

An what does this SpreadCoin VPS Node accomplish ?

Anything a normal node can't do ?
Well, it is on 24/7 and it has a lot of bandwidth. I guess they are the main benefits.
Theres also the fact that you don't need to leave your own computer on all the time, which could be a fire hazard.

Lol ok then but it seems pretty pointless though.

You do know computers are designed to be always on right.... In the past 25 year of dealing with PC's I haven't had one ever catch fire or overheat unless it was a dust problem Cool
It won't be pointless when we have servicenodes, which will require significant CPU power. (from what I've heard)

Significant CPU usage you mean, well that's not good at all, things are meant to be energy efficient, its like your basically saying "Yes we have servicenodes but you can't run them on a PC properly & will get kicked due to using too much resources and not performing well with score, you won't be able to do anything else on it so you run them on your rented VPS to secure your servicenode and score"
When I say significant power, iIm talking about when (hopefully) Spreadcoin gets popular. Because then we will have one masternode servicenode managing many peers and performing services and that is why they will have high CPU usage.

Right now they will use low amounts of CPU power.

Will you get stakes or a reward for being a servicenode ?

BTW that's some pretty slow internet upload lol I'm in Australia as well and my Telstra ISP plan is 500GB with Free speed-boost & a bonus 500GB for being a long term member totaling 1TB Download/Upload limit.

My max speed connection is 110+ Mbps Download & 2Mbps Upload.

All on Cable, no silly NBN or ADSL lol

silly nbn? ... hehehe ... i like that ...

unlimited download - unlimited upload - 100Mbps down - 30Mps up ... $90.00 AUD a month ...

yup - silly allright Wink ...

#crysx
$90??? Mine is $120 for 200GB and $140 for 500GB.

Why does my internet really suck? Satallite is probably faster. Smiley

I envy you.  Tongue

I actually got a 300GB bonus totaling 500GB combined upload and download.
You upload is faster than my download. Sad
I'm on ADSL. Not even ADSL 2+ but that is probably because I'm right on the edge of my suburb, near the ocean.

Edit: Oh, and yes, you will get rewards for being a servicenode. One servicenode per block will be picked to recieve 30% of the current block reward.

Your from Bayside then aren't ya hahaha
Yeah, Smiley

Ah here it is: http://t.co/BE5QQ49FVS

That pic was when it was raining. I think one of the phone lines is broken or something bevause everything seems to slow down when it rains.

Edit:

I've heard you upload a lot of data to peers when you are a node and my uplod barely reaches 20kb/s. It took me 40 minutes to upload my 80mb youtube video. Smiley

Anyway, I'll be off to bed now, so I won't be able to talk much longer.

Ok, handbrake is compressing my 60GB Sony Vegas export now.
Hopefully it'll be ~70mb when it is done.

The Spreadcoin VPS node video is coming out very soon.

Edit: Handbrake cropped my video, rendering again...

Edit2: Rendering done, uploading to Youtube... URL: http://youtu.be/UFnjAJX-xcE

Link is set to Private...
No, it is uploading, it just appears that way... 19 minutes remaining.

How much sling do masternodes get paid right now?
This coin is good except for the fact that it has POS.

Not trying to FUD or anything. It looks like the price is rising actually.
