It just sucks that the data is only from 2017. I would expect the M1 numbers to be much higher after so much printing.

... I guess the CIA has been busy with "other things" the last 4 years ... takes a lot to cook up a pandemic, impeachment and regime change, even if it is your raison d'etre ... vote counting servers based in Frankfurt, who woulda thunk huh?

Was this the reason??? why is no one here talking about this? I read back 3 pages (fast)

Compared to Reddit, which I hate, this forum can be pretty shit at staying on top of the news.

Frankly I could give two shitzas about scammy EU regulations regarding electronic warrranties, I just want stuff that works like it meant to.

Well, the vast majority of electronics sold worldwide don't come with a lifetime or even a 7-8-year warranty, it is what it is.

Best thing you can do in this case is to buy the new LCD screen and replace it yourself.

And here someone claims to have replaced their screen: https://www.reddit.com/r/TREZOR/comments/bjdqcr/replace_trezor_one_case_with_metal_one/em7jrq3/

Not sure if the metallic case would still be of any use, though.

Calendar year warranties are just paper promises, if the electronics only work for 5-6 uses. Unless OLED screens have some kind of shelf-life decay process?

Thanks for the screen replacement link. I took mine apart and the metallic case appears to be reusable, just clicks back together. Unfortunately the screen connection has tiny soldering points which would need some specialised equipment I think.

This is rocket science, math and gentlemen.

@APompilano
We are watching simple supply and demand economics play out.

Bitcoiners aren’t selling their Bitcoin. The halving cut incoming supply. There is a significant increase in demand. Price has to go up to accommodate.

This isn’t rocket science.

No its rocket science and math

There was this member called Eddie
Claimed he'd taken up with a new reddie.
He regaled us with tales
With many likely details.
But we all knew Eddie's reddy was his teddy.

Did I mention curves?

I'm afraid we're going to need you to observe each distinct ATH in the coming year...

I'm going to say it's more strawberry blonde than true redhead but either way is fine.

Maybe the way the angle of the light is striking ... deep faked Eddie's teddy? Grin

"19667 new ATH" on the right butt-cheek might be more convincing.

Whatever happened to that professor in Brazil that trolled this thread for years? Anybody remember his name?

I'm curious if he still has an online profile and twitter account.

Last time I heard from him he made a lengthy negative comment on a pending ETF application when the SEC asked for public feedback.

Stolfi the insufferable left-wing nutty profeesor.

Hopefully Bolsanaro threw him jail just for shits and giggles, and sucking off gubmint teat to post mind-numbing diatribes on forums 24/7

I love when critics like Ray Dalio have bitcoin in their frontal lobe 24/7, and are forced to continue to defend their position against it.

Must be so frustrating for him...salty.

https://twitter.com/RayDalio/status/1328731042690306048

... he's not even asking the right questions so a ways to go for him yet, imho.
... however Dalio appears to be bitcoin curious, if he's not outright bullshitting, so his journey has begun.

.... the mainstream 'smart money' is looking in bitcoin's direction, early ones are already here and others are on the move

Should be epic. Like a $8000 towel, $54000 First Edition metallic trezor with a failed screen and a $$270,000 prototype PCIe ribbon extension cable with incorrect power wire breakouts!  (In his defence cablesaurus replaced the PCIe cable without charge, can't say the same about the FE trezor yet)

Thanks for your help ... two years is not a long time for a hodler, really, I'll see what they think about a replacement. Must have been a crappy cheap screen they put in these First Edition ones?

If it's a plastic one and you got it back in 2013 then the price was 1 BTC (3 BTC for the metallic one), but that's irrelevant anyway as Trezor's warranty, like that of most electronics' devices, doesn't last that long.

Two years is the EU-wide legal minimum warranty when selling to consumers.

Must have been a crappy cheap screen they put in these First Edition ones?

IIRC, they did experiment with different cables, so who knows if there weren't any problems with other parts.

It's the metallic one. A 3 btc metallic brick now I guess.

Frankly I could give two shitzas about scammy EU regulations regarding electronic warrranties, I just want stuff that works like it meant to.

We've jumped over a few countries in market cap ... Poland, Austria, Australia, Luxembourg, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong

21. Poland - see above (2017)
20. Austria - see above (2017)

19. Australia

18. Luxembourg

17. Saudi Arabia

And most recently Bitcoin market cap has just exceeded the
16. Hong Kong M1 float (as at 2017)

... ALL IN the rear view mirror.
773  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: November 17, 2020, 11:10:10 PM
Can I get a refund? I think I paid 2 BTC for it. Only been used 5 or 6 times total I think.

They are definitely not going to refund you 2 BTC for it. There is a limited two year warranty for individual users, so they even might not replace your device. Nevertheless, you should try contacting their support.

... just about the only sure thing in bitcoin price is we will have another pump, and another dump.

We could be in December 2016 now. We could have a pump to 19k and then drop to 12k. If history repeats. But I guess anything can happen. Even that we go to 19k and then just slice further without any resistance and correction.
776  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: November 16, 2020, 04:40:26 AM
Looks like it just not my luck with Trezor ... my First Edition screen has just gone blank. Tailing the logs shows it appears to be functioning correctly, communicating, etc other wise.

Can I get a refund? I think I paid 2 BTC for it. Only been used 5 or 6 times total I think.

... maybe we should leave trains, rockets, dragons and fiddles behind and use boats for this bull run ??

Top 15 across the board, things are really heating up again.
779  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: November 13, 2020, 01:31:47 AM
You have to install the trezor back-end full node as well and have that connect to the Bitcoin Core full node ... so need to run two full nodes to support one wallet locally ...ok, nah.

You only need blockbook which apparently uses and maintains its own instance of Bitcoin Core, so you don't need to run two full nodes. I asked on their Telegram channel if it was possible to connect an exiting Bitcoin Core instance to blockbook and I got "Yes" without any more details. This config file might be worth taking a look at.

Ok. Still it looks like an arcane set-up.

How is it after all this time the top bitcoin client fullnode, Core, and the top h/ware wallet, Trezor, are not seamlessly integrated?

Long past time they need to get past their little bitch fight that started back when and do the right thing for the community.

... i donna wanna say trains ... but this thing looks unstoppable.
