7701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GLOBAL REIT - THE FIRST EVER BLOCKCHAIN BASED REIT on: June 18, 2018, 08:39:28 AM
Anyone check out Global REIT's latest video post on Twitter? Short and simple, spend the 40 seconds to view it to get a nice reminder of how the platform will work (asset management, compliance and security, transaction modules). Personally, cannot wait to see how it LOOKS once all of us can log in. By the way, guys, any update from the London conference earlier in June? I did not see anything in Medium or Telegram.
7702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is there a possibility that Ethereum will reach $200 this year? on: June 17, 2018, 05:40:18 PM
Did anyone complain when ETH just shot up from below $400 to $1400 about price manipulation? Not at all. Just hold your patience and recalibrate your expectations. Ethereum is having a lot of challenges now, but the good news is also around the corner. From the SEC ruling about non-jurisdiction, to the Casper upgrades and sharding fixes, price will recover and reflect better the true value,,, besides $1k was an over valuation do you not think so?

Friendly advice, even if $200 or lower happens, it is not the end of the world.
7703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounty managers to be blamed? on: June 17, 2018, 09:35:08 AM
Bounty managers are just human,,, do not forget this. Yes, just like every human, some are good and some are bad. But the ones I have personally worked with in one year on this forum are all excellent, and you can see this not just by the way they conduct themselves but by their trust ratings, and countless feedback they receive over the years.

Of course, there is always one or two bad apples, and some managers are guilty of accepting known risks. But can they be blamed fully? Bounty participants sometimes never research their own campaigns. Do not even know what they are promoting.
7704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: June 16, 2018, 11:56:59 AM
I do not believe in Ripple, because it does not fit the idea of decentralization, while the bulk of this asset is in the hands of the creators, it can not be considered decentralized and highly subject to various manipulations.

This is actually the same reason I mistrust 95% of coins. Even the tokens that talk about decentralized platforms are funny because they do not know the difference between trustless and decentralized,,, how can a project be decentralized if it is being decided by a few people we do not even know well? We do not know how tokens will be distributed, we do not know who they will talk to and who is developing it. This is why in the end, we can only "believe" in Bitcoin.
7705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GLOBAL REIT - THE FIRST EVER BLOCKCHAIN BASED REIT on: June 16, 2018, 08:22:50 AM
Yes, Global Riet is gathering very huge community because they are gathering the potential investors and making a different platform in real estate. But my question is how can they pay monthly dividends and how it is possible?

You should really check out the whitepaper first, or even some of the older posts in this thread. REIT works this way even outside of the crypto world. It is an investment trust that people pool funds into to purchase a share of real estate, in this case, Global REIT's first asset is a hotel. Once they own the asset, like real estate normally works, they of course receive all the income from rentals of the property (from the shops and restaurants, for example) as well as the normal hotel income they receive when guests stay there.

This is paid out to token holders (and there are two tokens for two types of dividends). That is the simplified version.
7706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup and Premier League Predictor Football Pool on: June 15, 2018, 02:36:09 PM
Hello all friends,,, I am sorry I joined it late but I entered all the invitation codes and I think it is finally working. But FIFA logs me off every time I move to new page, so I managed to put in brackets and predictions until Page 3, but not further.

The points system confused me, but I got zero so far from today. I thought opening was a draw, and I thought today Egypt would win, but I must remember, I know very little about football on the international scene.
7707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy low and sell high is very tough on: June 15, 2018, 02:11:58 PM
Honestly, what is so difficult about buying low and selling high? Just go into your trading dashboard. Set your orders for reservations at the buying price you want, and when that trades trigger, you reserve the order to sell at a high price.

Easy lemon squeezy Wink

Of course, you must be willing to wait for months if not years. This happened to me the trades happened 2 times in 1 year but I got what I wanted.
7708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will ICOs die? on: June 14, 2018, 04:47:40 PM
They are already "dying" I guess, but the story is not so simple. More ICOs are launching,,, so that means the ICO numbers are alive. Look at ICO stats. More ICOs from Jan to Jun 2018, than in Jan to Dec 2017.

But look at amounts raised. Total growing smaller and smaller every month. People lost confidence in ICOs. Scammers and bounty hunters took their cuts,,, and everyone is afraid in the dip. But wait for the bull run. ICOs will rise again.
7709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Does Deep Web / TOR Compliment Cryptos? on: June 14, 2018, 04:12:54 PM
Technology complements technology. You do mean also Dark Web and not Deep Web? But TOR on its own is focused on privacy, and some cryptos are also focused on privacy. But crypto and Bitcoin itself did not rise solely on the idea of privacy, although that was part of its design. Privacy is something we all value if we are on this forum and we use crypto. If you could use TOR and maintain privacy why would you not?
7710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 14, 2018, 11:22:44 AM
where do you think 2018 ends? will it be a total bear year?

No.  Bitcoin will begin to rally sometime this year.

I hope that too, but why it would happen? Ligtning networks? Is there any info Lightning networks are now about to start real world use of the BTC?

What other reasons there are for BTC rally?
Faith, wishful thinking, star alignment, the secret law of attraction, north korea.

I would say the world's incredible desire to see John McAfee not eat his own dick could also play a part. Or the desire for him to become President of US. I really do not know. But why do we need BTC to rally anyway? I still want to add to my cheap Monero. Who wants to sell when holding them (and using them) is the only thing that keeps us alive,,, right?
7711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GLOBAL REIT - THE FIRST EVER BLOCKCHAIN BASED REIT on: June 13, 2018, 10:16:32 AM
Whether the crowdsale investments has been updated or not because most of the people are saying, many people sent their money through wire transfers. Still, the ICO has raised nearly 12 million dollars, monthly dividends are the completely different innovative thing.

That will be updated soon to be surely over 12 million, as I can see from Telegram especially more interest has been coming. Like you said, most money is also coming via wire transfers so that needs to be manually updated,,, and it is good news to see a lot of institutional people are investing in this REIT, as you can tell, REIT is a very solid vehicle of investment. I am really excited to be part of this as my first crypto investment into real world economy.

Still over two weeks left to join the token sale, lots of room for growth!
7712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price recovering slowly on: June 13, 2018, 07:54:17 AM
Oh just be patient fellows. I am not an ETH supporter but I got some at around $400, so of course was very happy when it hit $1,000 but even at today's lows it is still a profit from several months ago, right? I sold a small portion at $800 as is my usual strategy for selling double of my initial investment but I will not be worried if ETH goes down to $400 again,,, because that means I will buy even more and the same old cheap price. Again, I am not a long term holder for ETH, but you guys who are should have more faith than me.
7713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Experts say's Bitcoin and some tokens are still a good buy for now on: June 12, 2018, 10:31:18 AM
Of course it is still a good buy. Can you imagine something that has been around for 10 years yet is still little know about and also has lots of misunderstandings around it? It was a good buy at $1 and even at $15k, because it will always be on the long trend increasing in price, but ALSO more importantly, it will become more recognized and more useful as times goes by.

Buy some Bitcoin and use it, do not be afraid. You will never fall out of love if you only want to experience true money.
7714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC is under $7K? on: June 12, 2018, 08:24:00 AM
Generally write that the price of the crypto currency two days ago fell due to the fact that there was a hacker attack on private wallets on the little-known exchanger Coinrail in South Korea, where four types of tokens for a total of more than $ 40 million were stolen, including PundiX about 19 , $ 5 million, tokens NPER, Aston and a few tokens Tron. If the usual, albeit significant, theft can cause such a fall in the crypto-currency market, then this market is very vulnerable. In the world will always happen such stories, is it because of this crypto currency will always fall in value? It seems to me that the matter is quite different. There is an opinion that these are the last manipulations before the growth of the crypto-currency market. So it or not, we will soon see.

There. You said little-known. This should mean that hacks like that should not impose too much of an effect on the entire crypto market. I think it was funny all the news media kept publishing that report. Basically news are like people. One guy thinks it is important, everyone thinks it is important. The hack happened on Friday, and only Sunday people reacted. Such a great example of how news and propaganda effects traders. But like you said,,, this is all the manipulation and people fall for it. They will also be manipulated to increase prices,,, soon.
7715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge for Newbie on: June 11, 2018, 12:45:37 PM
As a newbie, which is the best to do; To invest(earn) or to Learn(for how long)?
I think first learning is better for you from investing, because in this field of crypto, you should build a good knowledge to make a profit later. I don't know exactly for how long because it depends of the person and how fast he learn, Personally, in the first year when I discovered cryptocurrencies field, I knew about trading, but I didn't do any single trade, I just focus to searching and learning about this field.

First mistake is to equate investing with earning. You must see investing as a risk that could easily lose you money.

Learning is better equated with earning. You get a degree, your salary becomes more. You use your knowledge to avoid mistakes and take opportunities.

So, whatever you do, just keep learning. Learning is a lifelong process. The most successful people do not stop learning,,, they learn even more as they grow older and more successful. There is too much knowledge. too little time!
7716  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: When market is down A lot of traders become emotional:) What about you? on: June 11, 2018, 08:38:05 AM
i am little bit emotional but i dont let my emotion ruin my investment. i always convince myself that market will soon rebounce. this is a normal trend of cryptocurrency... sometimes it ups! and downs. no worry about this situation. at the long run we all see our coin rise to the top and gives us huge profit. all we have to do is wait.

Emotion is unavoidable. This is why we are different. This is why we all make mistakes. I know the traders now look for bots and artificial intelligence as solutions to remove emotions, but in the end we always take over the charts and the bots because we have fear, we have hope.

As much as possible learn the basic lessons. Set always for yourself target at profit AND for losses,,, and as much as possible allow these to take place. Set your trades and let them happen, regardless of how you feel.

I hold for most coins so no trades. Just sit and wait.
7717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GLOBAL REIT - THE FIRST EVER BLOCKCHAIN BASED REIT on: June 11, 2018, 06:18:53 AM
do you mean the amounts of ICO raised? If yes, the team will be updating that amount shortly.  Sorry there's a delay as it there are wire transfers and Fiat contribution that need to be taken into account, so the team need to include that amount and update the numbers manually.

Yes, i think they didn't mention anything about the wire transfer and Fiat contribution, still, on the website, it is showing only 11,800,000$ raised. By the end of the crowdsale, Global Riet will reach the desired hard cap easily.

Yes, do not worry about that progress bar. It is manually updated and always needs to confirm fiat transactions (which, by the way, also proves the legitimacy of the project), no anonymity behind fiat transactions!

Looking forward to many updates soon especially on my own questions for the investments, and some of the news from the London conference, which I know must be quite big! July is first distribution too, so cannot wait for all these dates!
7718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market going RED! on: June 10, 2018, 09:16:03 AM
So I see today the market has dropped suddenly, and what is surprising to me is that it happened over Saturday/Sunday, usually we see the trend on Friday before the weekend of right on Monday when everyone has awoken. I guess this just means more traditional traders are doing their crypto business on weekends.

The much awaited bull is again delayed.
7719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: VeChain and the China Hustle on: June 08, 2018, 03:21:57 PM
I wondered for SO long why nobody else said much about this! It is not just VeChain, it is other China projects like AAChain and what not. I hear their speeches, I see their news and ALL of it is absolute garbage and hype. I am not even very technical at all and already I can see the huge difference between say Ethereum and shit like Vechain.

All these people spend money going around talking about how great their product is. But they do not seem to understand one word of coding.
7720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Effect of Crypto in FIFA world cup . on: June 08, 2018, 12:43:02 PM
I wish people would stop saying that crypto has an effect on everything. I mean, I also enjoy sports and football, and I have a passion for crypto, but can we just enjoy all these things separately and not hope for some meaning to everything? As it is already happening, politics is playing parts in football and I already do not enjoy that. We can please all just enjoy somethings,,, and leave crypto out of this. If you want, go bet some crypto, and be done.
