781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 10, 2017, 11:10:50 AM
Summing up Chamberlain's move from Arsenal to Liverpool with Theirry Henry's words about him - "I've seen him from a few years now. I still don't know what he's good at". Maybe Liverpool did give him the position he wished for and he accepted it over City's bid of 220k/week but I don't see him fitting into Liverpool's playstyle.
It's going to be a hard road ahead for Liverpool after the devastating loss at that hands of City and with an almost ineffective move, everything could go wrong for them.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: September 10, 2017, 07:15:03 AM
We'll basing from Melo's performance in the recent seasons even if he joins LBJ they won't be as good. Melo can't even get to the highlights anymore these days.
Yeah, maybe when it comes to superstar status, he is way ahead of Irving but if you compared the play now, the chemistry on James, for me Irving is better. As you can see, he has been outshined by other younger superstar.

The major problem with Melo in Cavs would be the position. LeBron and Melo are both small forward players and it would be really awkward for either to swap out positions. With Kyrie, Cavs had a top notch point guard who could make plays with LeBron and rest of the team but with Melo's addition it would be harder and more pressure will be on both of them to deliver every game.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any token that address offline payment needs? on: September 10, 2017, 04:59:21 AM
I have not come across any such projects which support offline payments. It could be a thing in the future but trying to place physical POS machines in places could be the hardest part for the project as it needs physical resources and space. If at all someone comes up with a decent project for this, its surely going to make a mark and go big in the market.
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Die Because of China? on: September 10, 2017, 04:55:46 AM
Absolutely not, China is not the only country in this world. Maybe it had a big part in the volumetric trade of Bitcoin but it wouldn't mean the end of Bitcoin by any means. Then again, the Chinese people will find an alternate way to access and use Bitcoin even if it gets completely banned because it is the number one cryptocurrency and no other coin can come near even if China decides to release its own coin.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $257 Million: Filecoin Breaks All-Time Record for ICO Funding on: September 09, 2017, 04:02:56 PM
This happening also popped up in my newsfeed in my browser and I had no words when I read it. The majority of the sale was bought out by big time investors and the ICO was exclusively available only for private investors. No wonder it made that much because of what they bring into the field.
It's going to be real cheap, cloud storage. No more high priced services like Dropbox and instead everyone will be able to trade coins in return for storage space which is a great idea. I can only see good going to a great height because of the well thought ideas.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: September 09, 2017, 02:08:30 PM
The only scenario where this could happen is if Bitcoin dies out after all the blocks are mined. At that point, the fees will become so high that it will not be feasible to carry out micropayments. Then, a coin like Ethereum has the potential of taking up the leftovers and reigning supreme. Overall, the fall of Bitcoin will indirectly effect the price of all altcoins negatively.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Be Panic Of ICO Ban? on: September 09, 2017, 02:01:52 PM
The price of altcoin and bitcoin drop. Should we be panic? What do you think of the situation. Will ICOs stop because of the ban by China, Russia and Korea? Will others follow those countries? What is the future of ICO?

Nothing to panic about really, it's usually the rumours that get the market going downstream and this is the effect of unreliable sources. Altcoins going through the ICO stage are only the people losing our here as they will be missing out Chinese investors. The price of Bitcoin will stabilise over time while following coins like Ethereum and Litecoin will take more time to recover from this blow.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 80% of all alt coins in negative % change at the moment on: September 09, 2017, 08:21:53 AM
This drop is based off unreliable news sources and only that is causing this much of havoc. The chaos would be even more if countries start banning ICOs and cryptocurrencies, especially the communist countries which are playing a vital role in promoting coins.
789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCurrency Ban in China on: September 09, 2017, 08:15:13 AM
This is all speculation and rumors making rounds all over the place. I'm amazed at how the market fell off just due to unconfirmed news. A wise man once said, one man's gain is another's loss so in this situation, the panic seller is the one who loses and the one who holds or buys in at this point is going to be a winner.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin's price volatility affect your gambling habits? on: September 09, 2017, 03:30:05 AM
The volatility of Bitcoin's price not only affects gambling users but also pushes casinos and gambling sites to make various adaptations like adjusting the faucet values and minimum cashout amount which in turn directly affects the users. For me, I always set up goals and cash out if at all I reach there, irrespective of the price of BTC at that moment.
791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Profiting With Bitcoin on: September 09, 2017, 03:24:49 AM
There are plenty of tools and websites which offer various resources for pricing of Bitcoin, trends, graphs etc. Google can help you out with that. About altcoins, always think that the market is volatile and be ready with quick decisions to buy/sell or else you won't know when the landslide will hit.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't ICO's use Coinbase or similar services for payments? on: September 09, 2017, 03:19:35 AM
Why would ICOs even think about implementing something like that? Coinbase is known to be a pain in the ass in many ways and they show no intentions of changing anything. Firstly, getting your account verified is a tedious task by itself and requires lots of patience. Secondly, funds from gambling sites don't show up and they are 'confiscated' by Coinbase, not to mention some gambling sites have ICOs going on.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why do you hold BitcoinCash? on: September 08, 2017, 08:37:26 AM
Not a holder of Bitcoin Cash but I dumped it as soon as I got them for a decent sum. Now, I won't even look up the price of BCH as I will start having regrets if I held onto it, so I'm good with whatever I obtained from Bitcoin Cash which entered my wallet for free.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: WARNING EtherDelta down / compromised? $1 Billion USD+ worth of funds on: September 08, 2017, 08:34:57 AM
If this is real I'm struck for words. The only good thing about this is that everyone's funds can be withdrawn due to the smart contract. For now, lets not jump the gun and wait for an official statement on github. Still, I can't see Etherdelta getting away if they actually intended to do so.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SKINCOIN - CRYPTOCURRENCY FOR eSPORTS INDUSTRY (ICO is OVER) on: September 07, 2017, 03:41:15 PM

Join SkinCoin WCA 2017 CIS and European Open Qualification! Official Confirmed.

This is great news for all the investors who put their money into this project. Not only is WCA a recognized tournament but its also a great platform to sponsor and this is just beginning for Skincoin lifting off towards greater things. At the least, I expect the price of the coin to go beyond 1000 satoshis for the first time after the ICO was over and this could mean the actual start of the rise of a coin that supports esports.
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: only 0.000149 btc on: September 07, 2017, 01:24:39 PM
Even if you intend to trade your balance for something, the transaction fees would overshadow the amount you're going to send or else your transaction would never confirm. Either ways the balance you hold onto is very small and nothing much can be done with it so I would suggest you to save more Bitcoin to make a balance worth doing something with.
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And We Are Back! on: September 07, 2017, 08:50:39 AM
It's pretty simple to do the aftermath in this situation, China and other countries banned ICOs and most of these were funded by Bitcoin or altcoins. Since Bitcoin has no direct relation with ICOs, we can infer that it shouldn't have a major impact on the price of Bitcoin and it took some time for everyone to realise this after the mini crash. Now that everything is cleared up, I would expect it to be back on track.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To those who wanted AIRDROPS, there' a lot out there! Just keep searching! on: September 07, 2017, 08:43:07 AM
To those who wanted  AIRDROPS, there' a lot out there!  Just keep searching!

Search and ye shall find! ;-)

Making a thread that is as useless as this doesn't help anyone or yourself. We're better off to search the forum ourselves for any airdrops, if at all available. At least you could've linked some sort of airdrop thread or helper which would inform about airdrops.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting cash during ICO? on: September 07, 2017, 02:24:26 AM
It would be really difficult for ICOs to accept fiat or money through credit/debit cards as it wouldn't retain the contributor's privacy and this is the main reason these ICOs will never push to accept cash. I've seen a few of them advising investors to convert fiat into Bitcoin/altcoins using lbtc/coinbase or other exchanges and then to pour that money into the ICO.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the blockchain technology changes our lives? on: September 07, 2017, 02:20:44 AM
It's totally insane that more and more people adopt the use of cryptocurrencies, as a real equivalent value to FIAT, as they were really always looking for a practical real self-creating value to replace physical and scriptural money. It's also totally amazing how the human knowledge, after a few thousands of years from it's born, creates the largest decentralised machanism between individuals and can be running everywhere in the world. In few years, everybody in this planete should own a smartphone or a computer.
It is not just something that can replace the value of physical and scriptural money. Or may be just facing the technology that can tronsform the security industry!?

Please share your opinion about the actual blockchain revolution.

With the introduction of blockchain to provide various services needed in daily life, everything being put up on the blockchain makes life easier for both the service providers and the buyers. With fiat out of the way, a payment system on the blockchain is always safe, secure and foolproof which makes it that much better than traditional barter system or fiat for goods and services.
