I've heard that Harry Kane is going to tell Tottenham that he wants to join Manchester City this summer. So he is holding talks with Tottenham for now. He doesn't want a new contract. He just wants to leave the team as soon as possible. So, there is no meaning for the chairman Levy to object to his decision. Tottenham should have a good understanding about why he wants to leave. He is one of the greatest strikers now and he doesn't want to get stuck here winning nothing.
This Harry Kane move has been going on forever and honestly I don't think this move won't happen anytime soon.
This actually reminds me of the time Rooney was always rumored to leave Manchester United and this didn't happen until after two seasons had pasted. So don't kept Kane to leave just yet

I'm not sure how they're going to afford both Kane and apparently Grealish going for 100 million. Where they getting this money from? Aguero went for free didn't he? Who else did they sell?

I am joining the pool ... a little later I will edit the message and add a link to the transaction.
And I suppose the thread should be moved since for the most part it will be a discussion thread. [+ local rules]

Sign up thread is always in Games and Rounds and we use the existing Discussion thread each year rather than create a new one.

Sportsbet have put in 0.1 into the pot along with a free $50 for the weekly round winner again. There will also be a small consolation prize for the highest weekly round winner overall.

The tournament starts on in two weeks time on the 13th so you have until then to pay the entry fee. If you're unfamiliar with how it works please see the previous thread here, but basically we will be using the Superbru website where you get 3 points for predicting the correct score, 1 for the correct outcome (win, lose or draw) and 1.5 for a close prediction. The winner will obviously be the person who gets the most points at the end of the season.

Sportsbet.io are sponsoring the pool again and have put BTC0.1 into the pot along with offering a free $50 to every weekly winner so that's 38 chances to win a $50 bet. They will also be offering the chance to win shirts on certain games. As usual, 100% of the money received will be split between the top placed users at the end of the season. Depending on how many users sign up will determine on how many places will be paid out. Last year a little over 50 users joined and the top 10 places were paid out. There will also be a small consolation prize for the person who gets the highest overall weekly round score so even if it becomes clear as the tournament progresses that you're unlikely to win a paid spot you still have a chance of winning something along with the $50 weekly round free bet.

I'll be the bitch this time around and say I'm not joining as we'll be doing this on superbru again. I wish you all the best of luck though!
While you are being bitch  Cheesy please elaborate what is bothering about Superbru. I am using it for years and only problem I have with them is downtime at the time most games finish. I got used to making my picks in the morning so I don't even notice it anymore.

I don't like the scoring, the downtime and more recently in the euros how they did it with the draws. I would prefer a spreadsheet over superbru at this point.

I only said it like this as several members came out and said they wouldn't join the euros predictor if we moved it away from superbru, hence the bitch comment.

I'd move to another one if any were available but it's the best that's out there as far as I'm aware. Shame the BBC stopped theirs as I liked that one. I think it was 10 points for a correct result and 40 for the score and no close ones. I'll start taking the money in on Monday.

Can we decide everything by voting? (add poll to thread).

Don't think it's possible to add a poll but it will be irrelevant anyway as any randomer could vote even if they have no interest in joining.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 23, 2021, 05:51:01 PM
So good news. Thanks to Sportsbet and jeremypwr they will be sponsoring the pool with 0.1btc into the pot along with a free $50 bet for the weekly yellow cap. There will also likely be some opportunities to win a free shirt or apparel for some of the big games.

So how much should we set the fee? It should be somewhere between £25-£50. £35 is currently around 0.0015 and 0.002 is around £46. Don't want it to be too cheap but also don't want to price many people out. Remember, you only need to win a weekly round once to be technically in profit. I'll probably do a small consolation prize for the person who gets the overall highest score from a weekly round at the end of the tournament as well.

This forum was here when bitcoin was worth nothing in fiat value but just an experiment. I'm sure if 1 bitcoin was worth pennies then the forum would still be here as long as people are still using it.

Any updates on new season pool
26 days left for EPL to start again.

Trying to get a sponsor before I announce it.

it should definitely start on time, I saw some people who are never heard but would love to join. 13 August is starting time, it's around 3 weeks left.
Any idea, how much it will be the entry fee? 0.001BTC (same as the Euro2020) can be acceptable to all players.

Depends on how much we get for the sponsor. If it's a lot I'll charge a bit more but they've always been a minimum of £25 to around £35/40.

Not sure how tomahawk managed to move up a spot despite him getting the score wrong  Grin.

He didn't. He was already at 52.50 before the final game (+0.5 above me) level with Big G and Trofo.

Apparently, the leaderboards are going to be updated later today.

It changed this morning. Toma moved up one place but he's now back to fifth.
yeah, Big G finished with more "Exact 3 pts" than me and i think that's the third tiebreaker after Slam Points and Total Points

btw, who won the other UEFA predictor thing?

Dunno. I haven't gone through them all yet.

Edit. Looks like sinisss, Karma12, coinscan & hahay all got 62 points but hahay got Italy winning the tournament so it looks like he's the winner.
