781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Critical Update] Feathercoin 0.6.4 - Hard Fork at block 33,000 on: May 24, 2013, 01:53:51 PM
True, the Coinchoose tables are wrong anyway, as they work off the latest spot price not the weighted average, so they are easy to manipulate with small timed sales.

There are some filters in place to prevent tiny trades from skewing the tables, but also those tiny, out-of-market, trades hopefully get gobbled up quickly.  I have debated weighted average vs. spot and noticed a few times that sites that do weighted average (Dustcoin is a good one), have an issue in large price movements.  I may implement a second page that provides a weighted average based on all open orders (as compared to recent), to provide a second perspective, but BTER would not be an exchange on this list (as you can't get an order list from there).

That said you're putting in more alt coins quicker than they are.

While I definitively like to see competition - I have the same coins up.  I also noticed you are updating the pricing / difficulty once per hour, which is interesting.  I update quicker, but thinking there may be value in a slower update as well (since it may filter out large moves).
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How miners destroying crypto currencies. on: May 24, 2013, 01:42:49 PM
While I can understand the negative impact of large mining at the start, I think that the coins that survive this initial onslaught have shown themselves to have other value (rather than just being a clone).  So, in many respects, the CoinChoose effect brings about a survival of the fittest.

784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Coinchoose doesn't work for calculating WDC or DGC Profitability on: May 24, 2013, 01:40:28 PM
coinchoose.com is a scam, they co-operate with scam coins to cheat the newbie  Angry

How so?  We add coins as soon as they are on one of the exchanges we support (Vircurex, BTC-e, MCXNow, Cryptsy) and we have enough understanding of the block reward (and can get the difficulty from somewhere).  The profitability is derived from other numbers on the table (and can be double-checked).  Currency statistics are automatically updated once per minute and quotes are automatically updated more often than that.  So, it is just information that is being presented.

As far as cooperation, I guess when a  new coin is created, it has a blockexplorer and is listed on one of the above exchanges and someone (could be the coin creator) contacts me to ask me to put the coin up, I will try to.

As an additional FYI, my miners are still pointed at BTC right now until I can figure out my riser card issues Smiley

So - any basis to say "they co-operate with scam coins to cheat the newbie"?  Please explain.

For ONE. MILLION. DOLLARS.
789  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Civil War in America and Bitcoin on: May 23, 2013, 09:40:18 PM
The terrorist organization illuminati (known as Bilderberg Group) burned down rail road bridge to starve out the Texans.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=LLVKb1HxhAY

You can't starve Texas. It's an agricultural state, and has all the bottling plants for Snapple and DrP and Budweiser, and frito lays factories.

His "Majesty" has never been to America, and probably couldn't find it on a map.  If he did, he'd know that the destruction of one railroad bridge into Texas would have minimal impact...
790  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Civil War in America and Bitcoin on: May 23, 2013, 08:46:59 PM
I don't send people to kill them. I'm simply stating a fact that they are being hunted to be executed by everyone else (7+ billion slaves) that they ran scams on.

Okay - just waiting for the obit notices, then we will know it was not a "wish list" but merely reporting what has already been done.  Funny, I just saw Bill Gates in the press this week - he seems alive (and so is Melinda Gates).
791  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Civil War in America and Bitcoin on: May 23, 2013, 08:31:39 PM
The Kill list that I leaked out in previous posts are not threats, they are facts.
You should be thanking me for reporting these facts.
Real brave warriors in America are actually out hunting to kill all members of the illuminati also known as the (Bilderberg Group) all over America.

Threats usually involve a person's name and not during the time of civil war.

Actually, you have named names of who you want to see dead - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bilderberg_meeting_participants_of_2011 & http://www.forbes.com/billionaires/list/ (and all their family members including children).
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 23, 2013, 08:06:41 PM
i didnt find it very profitable at all due to the rapid increases in N that reduce hash rate, but thanks for your estimate thats all i wanted to know (how it compared to other coins)

btw its not on dustcoin and coinwarez doesnt exist

CoinWarz.com  - that has a mining calc with costs, so probably more useful
793  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Civil War in America and Bitcoin on: May 23, 2013, 07:55:44 PM
More than 50,000 christian heads were chopped off in Mexico in the last few years.
Source: http://infowars.com
The Bilderberg Group (illuminati) ordered the execution of those 50,000+ mexicans.

Source for one, but not the other.  This is like some bad John Carpenter movie....
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 23, 2013, 07:04:52 PM
if profitability is based on difficulty, reward per block and price at an exchange, what has what its mined on got to do with it?

Well, practically last time I added YAC to the chart it thru everything off as it shows about 1000% profitability and I got a lot of complaints that it did not belong.  This is especially true since the mining hardware for YAC is so much more limited (and powerful hashing is not available).  Most of the users of coinchoose have a GPU mining rig and are looking to see immediately what coin they should mine now.

However, I could put a separate page maybe comparing YAC to BTC or LTC, but I need to know what CPU only miners are thinking about when they mine (and whether they actually look at all other currencies or just focus on whether they will make any money at all).  My guess is, for a CPU miner, it makes sense to only mine a currency that will lead to some profit after power costs, and YACoin may be that currency, but that is what sites like dustcoin.com and coinwarez.com are good for.

I may be wrong - so feel free to convince me otherwise Smiley
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 23, 2013, 06:32:50 PM

What are your two requirements for adding a coin?  (I would guess one of them is trading on an exchange obviously)

1.  Exchange - that allows for automatic trades and withdrawals.
2.  Public blockexplorer.

http://yacexplorer.tk/

YAC is a different animal.  This is a site really to compare coins that can be GPU mined.  YACCoin cannot at this point so it isn't accurate to compare it to these other coins.

At this point maybe the coolest feature to add to this site is to add some checkboxes to ignore certain currencies in the chart, as it gets confusing with so many lines and colors.

Just click on the currency name in the graphical chart and it removes it.

Have you updated your Freicoin client, your site seems to have lagged behind at the fork.

All the sites seem to be lagging.

http://cryptocoinexplorer.com:4750/ not updated.
http://dustcoin.com/mining not updated.
http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency not updated.
http://1.cr.rs/ not updated.
http://pool.cr.rs/ not updated.

It is because of this - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=124303.240;topicseen

Can you check Freicoin and make sure your client is updated?  I believe it is reporting wrongly.
