and amazon wouldnt say they were getting more if they werent.  so maybe they arent making any more, but there's still a healthy supply out there

you can order any Asus card from nextwarehouse.. that place has tens of thousands of reviews

Healthy supply? Dwindling is a better phrase. I've had Amazon orders waiting for a month to be fulfilled, and they are slowly being cancelled one by one because there is no supply for them (a different brand). I suppose, get what you can while you can. I wouldn't want XFX cards though.

But, thanks for sharing in case anyone is interested.

Nextwarehouse, like many others (amazon, etc), reporting supply inbound Jan 4th. Newegg has 280x cards in stock if you don't mind paying $100 over MSRP.

For which cards?  us.ncix.com has plenty as well.  filter in to in stock only,

I guess

    Powercolor Radeon HD 7870 975MHZ Tahiti LE 2GB 4.8GBPS GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 2xMini DP Video Card (AX7870 2GBD5-2DHP)   In Stock   $249.99   BUY

pops to my eye as a good deal

Oh, there are also shittons of good deals on neweggbusiness.com....   re: referring to what (some) people are paying for these cards in the last 5 weeks or so, not how much they should really be worth.

I guess the $159 7870 AR comes to mind the most, but also $125 AR 7850, $94 PowerColor TurboDuo AR 7790, $80 AR for a 7770, 240's for $60 w/o rebates & free shipping, R7 250's for $75 w/o rebates, R7-250 for $65 with rebate, R7-260x for $110 w/o rebate, and so on

oh, i think some of the 6xxx cards are underpriced too, but been too long on those

Just because some place had them in stock doesn't mean they're being made any  more. I talked to AMD.. they're not being made any more. So it's whatever stock is remaining. Backordered = chance in hell of it ever coming back in, because they're literally not being made in foundaries.

Unless someone is making offbrand chips.

True I cant find any 7950 or 7970 being sold anywhere, trust me I been scouting.

or the visiontek 7950's on amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0072DKYA4/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i6?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0KPBMGE8FD4ZPR9B9ABG&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846

oh, whoops, they're out of stock there now.  go to here http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A5776980&dgc=SS&cid=271316&lid=5009355&acd=12309189100274930

and amazon wouldnt say they were getting more if they werent.  so maybe they arent making any more, but there's still a healthy supply out there

oh, here's a cheaper way to get 7970's, if you want to overpay for them, but overpay slightly less:

Such a shame that the shipping is so expensive.

Since the GPU's are fairly large and heavy boxes, shipping cost can be expensive since I am shipping from Taiwan, also tedious to calculate, however its new years, so $10 discount for the time being!

also
what is the price for radeon 7950??

New HD 7950 are completely sold out and discontinued, only pre-owned are still around.

788  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS 7970 & 2x 7790's on: January 02, 2014, 02:25:16 PM
I'll use my nvidia card.

The 7970 is a Powercolor 7970 that I've had for about 4 months.  The 7790's are a Powercolor and XFX (not 100% sure on XFX).  I've had those for about 6 months.  The 7790's have done a maybe two months of mining, the 7970 has done some gaming and what not, since it's the card in my main computer... but it's not worth keeping it in my main computer, atm.

So, I'm willing to sell the 7970 for $400 and the 7790's for $215.  Both those prices include shipping, which is the box + all original accessories.  If you don't care about the box and accessories, then make it $390 and $200.

yes, I realize these prices are high, but it's about $100 less than I could make on Amazon or eBay for the same cards.

PM if you're interested

(re: my pool, I am mining on that now with three 5830's, a 7770, and the two 7790's)

ed: oh, i dont really expect to get an answer, so i'll be listing these on Amazon in about 24hrs.. prices higher there

I give up. The p2pools aren't pay out, solo mining is a waste of time, and feeleep's pool has been down for hours from what I've seen. I've been mining for hours and haven't received 1 Particle, meanwhile people are selling for millions.

p2pools only pay if you find a share and they find a block

p2pool back up, 0% fee.  won't disappear mysteriously for at least a month or two, unless nobody uses it (lots of those MPOS open source pools now, maybe?  personally I hate having to make an acct for that BS).

anyway, if nobody uses it, it'll disappear in a few days, jaja

fear.nogleg.com:1911 or 76.72.163.53:1911 (located in Philadelphia, PA, USA)... userid:  frozen address,   password: blank, doesnt matter.

it automatically uses stratum unless you have fix-protocol = true or something like that in cgminer

I think I was lucky just to grab 100k solo mining when I had the chance. I swear, when I upgrade this rig I'm going to be getting those 6 digit figures.  Tongue
yeah, look at fear.nogleg.com:1911

what a joke

Difficulty is just..I don't get it. CPU coins rarely hit exchanges right? Is this the reason? Strangled to death by Botnets and VPNs?

Well, quark can get like 750khash on a decent CPU... so it's a bit diff than some other CPU stuff, but still.

These coins with the 15 second, 30 second, 60 second blocks with humongous rewards at the start are all just massive pump & dumps (or attempts to do so).

ed: well, I should say, depending on circumstance.   this one is rather obvious, since it's 10K blocks of super high rewards, with 15s blocks.. which also leads to tons of orphans, which essentially makes it so that one pool can control the whole chain

will not go first. escrow can be used.
haha, yeah right

794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin mining with R9 280X, too much HW on: December 29, 2013, 03:58:23 AM
if they're like most radeon cards, they'll throttle themselves down at 100oC

which means, you shouldnt be near 100oC
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] [SEC] Secondscoin | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 29, 2013, 03:48:53 AM
Im buying all SEC, find me in IRC. #secondscoin on freenode.

btw thanks for new pool, the old pool hasnt paid me for the last 6hrs........

can someone make a pool with login and workers, this p2pool shit is anoying, and un trustworthy.

last transaction i got from pool mining was:

Code:
Status: 499 confirmations
Date: 23/12/2013 08:56
Source: Generated
Credit: 0.37138 SEC
Net amount: +0.37138 SEC
Transaction ID: e596036c12faad59b29cba013890a1f48020007f0e21f71e7db3ed79744936f5

Something seems dodgy there.....
When your paying 50cents a hour for cloud servers with 8 cores.... 4hrs downtime on a pool is unacceptable.

wtf is untrustworthy about p2pool compared to any other pool?

Note:  http://darkhosis.nogleg.com:1911/static/  is now a 'SecondsCoin' pool.  Don't mine there with a FrozenCoin address...  unless you want to donate some of the other coin to me.  =p

Uh, I will look into putting a pool back up for FZ, I think a decent amount exist now though, right?
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SEC] Secondscoin | Super secure hashing | CPU mining | Official update on: December 24, 2013, 08:39:06 PM
not that i think any of these alt currencies have much value,  but that's pretty low to be touting some 5% fee pool

1% or 2%, sure

shit is ridiculous

i think this needs to be 51%'ed

They do not report having fee.
Tomorrow I'll put a 32cores amazon if you have time to test the pool.
Thank you for warning.

http://sec.forkpool.com:6030/fee

the other one has it hidden and/or removed, supposedly it's 1%, but i'm not positive about that

i'm at 80mhash but i'm out of servers now

heh, the difficulty is up a lot.. going to move back to pts

i'll reset my p2pool if anyone wants to use it, i'm going to set it to just 3 block retention

because http://sec.forkpool.com:6030/static/ has a 5% fee (wtf)  and the other one is 1% , there now exists darkhosis.nogleg.com:1911 with a 0% fee

for the  "Secondscoin"
