781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how many halvings have you witnessed? on: October 20, 2023, 10:12:39 AM
The highest so far that has happened is three and this coming one will make it four, I've witnessed one already and next year halving will be my second, part of the interesting things to write about this event is the massive rise in the market, whereby many bitcoin investors have the opportunity to make profits from what they have Invested over time, this also extend to other cryptocurrencies as well because the market rises except for shitcoins.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 19, 2023, 10:42:59 AM
1. Gambling is not for the weak and its also not for kids
2. Don't gamble with funds you can't loose or forgo.
3. Don't have expectations on gambling outcomes as they are not guaranteed.

I still wonder what a woman is lurking around for in gambling, they can't take risk, afford to loose money or even get the mind of gamblers, women are very emotional and therefore cannot have that kind of a risk bearing mind to take risk for gambling, she would have expected to see the winning coming instead of losses but things came to her surprised all of a sudden that she discover her money is gone for good.
783  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What really happened to Nigeria Economy on: October 19, 2023, 10:15:58 AM
Often times i keep wondering how our economy that was glooming during the administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan has been facing severe drop down and setback by our present governments.

Maybe you're too fast about this, you can also go down the history a little more backwards and look at how things were before and after independence, compare it from then till date and see how things have continually gone worst than ever, before GoodLuck became the president, Obasanjo did well, Yar'Adua did better and things were getting better ever since, when it was GoodLuck turns, they begin to play politics to turn the table down and we think things have gone worst not knowing nothing is happening yet.

People stage a national protest against the administration and he couldn't go the second tenure, now look at where we are when everyone thinks GMB is the worst, think keep getting bad than ever instead of better, today the exchange rate of USD to naira $1=1,150 the economy is getting better indeed.

784  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: SATOSHI(the smaller units of Bitcoin) and why e dey important. on: October 19, 2023, 09:50:10 AM
Since almost every currencies has their own smaller unit of currency, then having sats as the smaller unit of bitcoin not something new that we should expect, where we need to concentrate more is on people understanding the value of this unit and the corresponding value it worth respectively both in bitcoin and in USD, many organizations do reward people in sats for doing some minor task for them, this will also help newbies to easily finds many only rewarding platforms that pays in sat for their services and have a taste of how digital currency is and can make transactions in them before using the main bitcoin, most beginners are found in this category because they are learning.
785  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Simple Yet Powerful Message That Will Always Hold True on: October 19, 2023, 09:34:50 AM
The message to newbies has always been the same since the beginning of time. From bitcoin creation to the very time altcoin started to pop up, till the era of NFTs, airdrops and other silly nonsense that shows up to deceive the naive ones.

This was not the reason why altcoins were created, they were created out of good intentions as well, but because most of them are centralized unlike bitcoin, individuals take advantage of that to create such projects in other to scam people, when everything first started, things weren't as this bad, NFTs are profitable, airdrops are rewarding, all memecoins are being trusted.

But when people realized that the whole process in doing these are not in a regulated manners, they take decisions on theirselves to use it on other's weakness and scam them, this is one of the reasons why every newbies should focus on bitcoin because it's secured, decentralized and consistent with trust.
786  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: some of the best ways to secure yourself from scammers on: October 19, 2023, 09:17:45 AM
Vigilance, awareness, and sound security procedures are all necessary for scammer protection.

If we are not giving scammers the route to penetrate in and attack us, it's very impossible for them to just locate us like that and scam us without having anything in common with them, we also have to learn to control ourselves and behave moderately, everything is not all about money, if it looks too good to be real then take a little step back and verify very that you're on the right track and think twice upon every steps and decisions.

Check identities Never give personal or financial information to anybody without first confirming their identity. Request formal credentials and check with the organisation by contacting them through their website or other contact details.

Since many have been scammed through impersonation, this may be in person, through profiles or cloned sites, we also have to developed more awareness on how to know any physhing or malicious means of attacks scammers uses, we must also keep our private keys safe and never allow any third party have access to them, most are scammed because they engage a poor security practice.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 18, 2023, 09:58:36 PM
So, yesterday afternoon, a man bet on a midnight game and the game played accordingly as predicted, but the surprising thing was that the betting agent ran away with the money the man won, and the betting agent is no where to be found.

How is this possible, that an agent took away a gambler's winning and ran away, how possible, is he with the tickets for the bet or what, what i know is that, he that has the tickets uses it to claim the winning, or maybe it's a local place and game that ticket was not issued than with the use of mouth, some people can be as weird as dupping others claiming that they should come the next day to claim their prize to find out that they have carted everything away.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 18, 2023, 09:52:28 PM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?

Because gambling is not a do or die affairs, we are gambling because we want to have fun through the pleasure time, not because we see gambling as a means of making money online, we have to change the kind of approach we give to gambling in most case.

Some gamblers are less concerned on how often they loose all because they have the money to always use for gambling, fine and good that's not a bad idea, we can also make it a decision that wether we loose or win, gambling is our major plug for having fun, because of loads of excitements in it.
789  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: October 18, 2023, 09:39:40 PM
Should we not look more deeply and passionately consider other events and crisis happening across the world, it's not more about Russia or Ukraine alone, we have to consider other countries as well and the way their instabilities is affecting the world economy, Israel is one to consider first in this, also many others who are being affected and some part of the world are depending on them for some level of sustainability because of the abundance of resources or supplies in what they produce and export out of their countries, we can see that that not only the effect of Ukraine and Russia is affecting us, but lack of peace and natural disasters are a big factors to be considered along.
790  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: October 18, 2023, 09:14:59 PM
Is there any truth to the fact that an individual needs to be known in any place before they can qualify to receive loans?
That is, is the need to be known or identified really required to qualify for a loan?

Two things must be put into consideration when taking a loan, you must be either have a qualateral to stand for you or a surety who us a reputable and trusted personality to stand for you, f these two conditions are not satisfied, you're likely not to be given a loan for any reason because you cannot be trusted with a reliable means for pay back, another one i think looks more common is for the government workers, they obtain loan base on their level of income as salary grade and they make deductions every month from their monthly payments.
791  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you find yourself doing unnecessary purchases when there is plenty.. on: October 18, 2023, 03:42:53 PM
I wouldn't say they're unnecessary since it's still something I could use. It's just not up there with the top 3 or 5 most important things to purchase at a certain time. If I have more leeway or allowance then I tend to buy these things that I've put in the back seat without emptying my savings.

We cannot judge that it's something we cannot use later because we are buying them because we have money with us and not because we needed to buy them at that particular time, under budget, we have wants and needs, if there's anything we are buying and we don't need them at the moment, its as if we are wasting time and money on them, a time is coming we will be having budget deficit whereby money at hand may not be sufficient enough to buy what we needed at that moment.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 18, 2023, 02:36:32 PM
Being a responsible gambler, we should have our personal winning strategies thst will help protect our bankroll without having to always use our personal money in making deposit to the casino wallet for funding, I've seen some gamblers that maintain their winning earnings for their all time bankroll without them having to make further deposit, whenever they win, it pill up to the account balance on the casino wallet without them making withdrawal, this has always been used by them in gambling as time goes and they make more win before the balance is exhausted on gambling.
793  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is blockchain important? on: October 18, 2023, 01:00:39 PM
For the sake of argument, I have some knowledge of bitcoin and blockchain but that I didn’t  use them due of my unstable financial situation. I'm about to begin investing and even trading. The name speaks for itself. What function does blockchain serve? Is it merely necessary for recording every transaction, making it essentially just a database? Please continue to be pertinent; I am aware of how blocks are produced.

Blockchain technology has many applications for it uses, not only bitcoin benefits from being served it purpose, someone like me and you could also make use of blockchain to perform many things as long as we could see them under it's potentials, just as you cannot only find the bitcoin network only on the blockchain, same also are the areas of it application varies in number, for anyone to be trending on this advanced era, one has to know about the blockchain technology and use it where necessarily applicable.
794  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you find yourself doing unnecessary purchases when there is plenty.. on: October 18, 2023, 12:19:48 PM
To be honest in this regard, most people do spend money any how they like whenever they are having it sufficiently or in abundance, that is when you will discover people using money on what they never planned for, i don't blame some people who always avoid holding down money with them unnecessarily than having them in investments instead, some will also tell you that they cannot hold cash at hand because it will always be used for things not planned for, which i agree that we most likely fall under this influence even though we are not being observant of such situation when it's happening.
795  Other / Meta / Re: "You are searching too quickly" on: October 18, 2023, 11:23:54 AM
Why is it that Btalk search bar is slow as molasses? I make one search and the whole system is down for 10 minutes lol

Maybe something is definitely wrong with your internet connectivity or the device you're using, have you also considered the availability of space on your device memory, search engine is not what should last than seconds to have your results with you, or maybe you probably make it more difficult to search through by what you typed in to be searched for, there's nothing wrong with the forum search here than from your end.
796  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Will Nigerians Marketers Accept Bitcoin if Legalized on: October 17, 2023, 10:33:11 PM
Why will the people not accept the use of bitcoin if the government should legalized it's use as legal tender officially, even now that the status is not yet approved, people make use of bitcoin for different purpose in the country's economy and make it adoption at their own benefits as well because they are the ones involved in the financial challenges encountered from government and the commercial banks through their financial regulations.

All forms of marketers will have no choice than to accept the use of bitcoin if granted as a legal tender because it's already a legal currency to be used in the country, only that the government and banks were banned from its use while the people still use bitcoin independently.
797  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Get a skill and make the best out of it. on: October 17, 2023, 10:15:00 PM
There's this important benefits we are sometimes missing out about developing a skill that could place us on future advantage, if we are working for a long period of time under White collar job, we will finally end up going back to being self employed and depends on our own work to make advanced sustainability at old age, we can also consider other benefits like being self employed, freedom, unlimited rate of earnings amd enough time for self discovery.
798  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide and Advice] New Here? How to Earn and Learn. on: October 17, 2023, 10:02:15 PM

799  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One of ways to identify scams on: October 17, 2023, 09:42:04 PM
Thanks for this awareness on scam, though alot had been said and discussed about scam and will still continue in other to safe those that might be coming in contact with such being for the first time, we need to know different tactics and modes scammers can use to attack us, identifying scam comes with different tasks that we had to start with knowing different kinds of these scams and how their operations takes place, this will help us know how we can prevent ourselves from such whenever we come in contact with such at anytime.
800  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Reward for a Trading Mentor on: October 17, 2023, 05:34:21 PM
If you often spend time with your mentor, you can buy him food or drinks and eat and drink them together. This will create a better relationship between you and your mentor. But first of all, a thank you for helping you understand the trading lessons he gave. As for the prize, it depends on you. Maybe he doesn't need any gifts from you and sees you can master what he teaches well.

This shouldn't be the reward a mentor should expect from his subjects, what example then is he giving when he's making demands on his follower or they are already paying him back, what they should be after is the replication of their self in this their subject, whereby their mantle will be passed to them and they will do exploit, the mentor will also be happy in seing a well performance from those learning from them, which is joy enough than receiving food or material items from them, it will implies a payback of what they are learning from their mentors if they keep giving them back in rewards.
