Wow, there is no way you do this at home is there? Do you rent out a place to mine?

Nope all at home.  Grin

I would go put my name on a piece of paper and take a pic in front of the racks but its dark and cold.  Here is an old one, you can see some of the S3's, and the BTCGardens on the right, you don't see the S2s or Gridseeds though.

Just wanted to thank J4bberwock for the 2880W boards,  these boards are great.  Very easy to go dense with miners with these boards and their well made not a single issue.  Thanks again.

Grabbing popcorn...

This is going to be good!  "Signs lease with precalculated power cost"  then you want to "add 90A @ 220V of miners".

LOL

So this landowner is just going to roll over with a $2K/month power bill?

And to answer the original question, as others have said you don't really want to cool the air, just MOVE the air from outside>in>out.

I ran 5KW of miners in a 2 car garage during 100 degree summer days it was 115 in the garage but the S1s have some fan headroom so it worked out  Wink

Why would the landlord care?  My power company is the one the contract is with.  Remember what they say about assume, I never said my electricity was provided by my landlord.

Also I am a bit passed the 5KW mark, more like approaching the 30KW.  5-15KW was easy once you go >20KW thats when you start finding other issues.

Do you still have all 10 for sale?
785  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s3 disaster stop my headache on: January 26, 2015, 06:07:56 PM
I have had some of my S3's act weird and hash at around 100Gh or just stop all together.

Here is what I did to fix it.

1. Flash Newest Firmware from 2015
2. Reset to factory default from webGui
3. Reconfigure and Mine

My guess is the older firmware has an option in the config the new firmware does not like, so until all the configs are rebuilt using the default from the newer firmware it will just act weird.

Hope that works for you if you have not done it already.
786  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need help! on: January 26, 2015, 06:04:27 PM
I am assume you got an Antminer S1?  $20 is a high for a USB miner.  There are support forums galore for the S1 just Google the name and you can find all kinds of support for it.

If your first getting into mining, do not let the people saying you will never ROI.  To many factors come into play for them to know for sure; Diff can go down which through the calculators off, You might have free power, etc, etc.  Your first few miners you will probably take a hit on as you will be using fiat, I did.  After you get some BTC in your pocket though you can buy miners for a decent price and make up for it.

Good luck.

Funny someone responded to my thread today, I actually had a heat problem this weekend. so much heat is being generated by my 35Th that is pre tripped the breakers on my 30a PDUs. I may venture to say heat dissipation will be my limiting factor at home and not my power.

I am ramping up. As people are shutting down their farms, I am buying their equipment cheap and standing them up to mine.  Everything Antminer, KNC, Bitmine, Gridseed if it exists I am mining with it.
797  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is no authority after btc-e.com? on: January 14, 2015, 03:18:31 PM
Most likely they are in a country that is not on good terms with the USA, so the USA has no course to go after them and the country they are in has no laws for this, no way to enforce them or does not want to enforce them.

Where would you be sending these from so I can calculate shipping costs.

Please.

Two things I have noticed.

Is there a way to add an entire subnet to scan with a port range?  OR does every miner have to be added manually?

Also when selecting App Updates, I click it it shows the 3 options but before I can select any of the 3 it disappears and leaves update disabled.  Even the one time I managed to click nightly it still left it disabled.

Thanks.

I maybe interested in buying everything.

Are the S1's stock/over/under?

Thanks.
