google search mining apps and virus scan results.... there many reasons why it could be flagged as malware.
782  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: April 11, 2018, 07:29:54 PM
They are definitely not a scam.  You ought to just be a little patient, though I think Yobit is usually quicker than this in processing withdrawals.

my account in yobit was blocked ... just because I posted in the chat ... it's been 8 days and it's still blocked .... can anyone help me? I have already sent several messages to the yobit administrators, to the support, to the twiter ... to the telegram .... and no one answers. I created another account to send a message, but nobody answers .... I have my entire investment in yobit. And now what do I do my friends?
the main question is why were you banned?  you must have done something serious to obtain an account ban.....  chat bans dont effect login AFAIK....
Besides they caught a pumping dumping activity. We don't know. BTW: Yobit on telegram is fake. It isn't yobit. Only twitter and the yobit site are real.

if he was caught as a member of a pump and dump group; then maybe that might explain it.   Considering an organized pump and dump is likened to insider trading.... and that yobit has banned devs for dumping on its users....   IDK.

Either way;  they still need to clean up their act about being public with describing issues with each wallet, maintaining tokens/coins that people spent lots of $ with them to list, etc....

you should read the original thread (google search) and also this one.  Its an interesting project.  Many concepts at play, and it has been evolving throughout time..

but in the past when I first started buying and selling, I bought into BUB when it was over 11K, and sold at near 30K... made lots of big sells when the market made the pushes.  they aren't viewable on the 6mo history anymore though.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Radeon RX 500X series rumors! Is it still worth it? on: April 11, 2018, 05:53:48 AM
Knowing amd, it will be a clone of the RX580;  I mean Rx480....  that has a higher TDP and more squeezed out of the same crap.

It will be faster, but it will be reminiscent of their older 300W+ super old technology cards....

look,what wrong !?   -o stratum+tcp://x17.mine.zpool.ca:3737 -u my wallet -p c=XVG-x17 -i 22 what the f*ck wrong Huh?

-o stratum+tcp://x17.mine.zpool.ca:3737 -u my wallet -p c=XVG -i 22

assuming your payout wallet is an XVG wallet.

BUB now go to the moon will pump up 3500sat soon 😍😍😍😍😍

Ive been noticing the market push;  but;  someone is clearly running a bot.

price never hit a moon number;  yet 8+BTC has been transacted.... it was less than .2BTC to get to almost 1K.. so, im interested to see how much the bagholder dumps from his wallet.

Im still not a seller at 30K as before, Im a HODLer.

788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak 2.4.2 Compiled with no devfee on: April 10, 2018, 11:00:35 PM
Updated original post with a download for alternate AMD and nvidia DLL's.  They have given better performance on some older AMD cards, so if you had low results, might wanna give them a try.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak 2.4.2 Compiled with no devfee on: April 10, 2018, 09:42:02 PM
Why not read the manual:

Code:
"gpu_thread_num" : 2,
"gpu_threads_conf" : [
  // gpu: gfx901 memory:3920
  // compute units: 56
  { "index" : 0, "intensity" : 1932, "worksize" : 8, "affine_to_cpu" : false, "strided_index" : 1, "mem_chunk" : 2, "comp_mode" : false
  },
  { "index" : 0, "intensity" : 1932, "worksize" : 8, "affine_to_cpu" : false, "strided_index" : 1, "mem_chunk" : 2, "comp_mode" : false
  },

],

That looks like it should work at first glance;  but if I were to fix it, I would be adding it to be automatically assigned multiple threads when it senses a vega... assuming I can understand the code to that point to make such a change.

A similar issue arises with i3-6100/i3-7100 CPU's.  Its  a 2 core 4 thread, but the app only detects and sets it up as a 2 core 2 thread for some reason.   my i7-920, and many other CPU's detect and assign all threads fine.  not sure what causes this.  *edit* normal behavior as this is HyperThreading taking effect.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ccminer bat file question on: April 10, 2018, 09:38:27 PM
look up nvsmi.  its in the nvidia folder;  it gets installed with the driver.  you can use it to manually set fan speeds via command line, so just have it execute before your ccminer command.

More on the nvsmi utility in the batch link in my sig.  may be a link or two deep, but its the link about forcing P0 state.  Probably the original batch thread linked in the one in my sig....

Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know nvsmi only works with 9xx generation of cards, not with 10xx series. I used it before for my GTX970's.

sorry, I was mistaken, I used nvidiainspector.exe

Its a standard downloadable utility...

example:
nvidiaInspector.exe -setFanSpeed:0,80

Sets device 0 to fan speed 80.

Cheers.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a mining shed. Next step is network setup. Need a switch 16 port???? on: April 10, 2018, 09:20:02 PM
Is that a good switch for this?
it doesn't seem bad.

Just remember, you don't need to pay extra for filtering, router functions, etc.

Holy crap the XMR network hashrate: https://xmr.nanopool.org/stats

wth is going on.....
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a mining shed. Next step is network setup. Need a switch 16 port???? on: April 09, 2018, 09:07:46 PM
So I'm looking at switches and if I get a 10/100 I can find 16 - 48 port models from 40 to 90 bucks that have good specs.  If I look at gigabit switches they start at 89 and go up from there.  For mining pc's do I need gigabit switches? Al my other switches and router in my house are gigabit switches. Also I have a strong wifi all ready on 256 bit.  I have a vpn with hardware firewall  monitoring all the mining systems.
Here in the bay, we have a store called Wierdstuff that sells surplus electronics/equipment.  I can usually pick up 16-64 port switches for $5-$25....  Slightly defective Agilent test gear to refurbish.... etc. just keep an eye out for something similar in your area.

I think the last switch I bought was a 3com, and had built in POE ports, as well as more internal features I have not looked into yet....

I really suggest a gigabit switch;  its just going to keep latency and overall bandwidth restrictions to a minimum.

If the switch has an uplink port or some sort of high speed link ability to another device, you would use that to set up a one wire link to the shed as well.
794  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: April 09, 2018, 07:17:04 PM
I wouldn't call Yobit a scam... or maybe I would actually. I WANT TO WARN EVERYONE THAT Verge [XVG] WITHDRAWALS ARE DISABLED AT THE MOMENT.
I understand that they need some time to update their wallets and software, but the biggest problem is, that there is no warning about it. Even worse, it says Wallet status: Online, which makes you think that everything works and withdrawals will go thru without problems. But when you try to withdraw, it won't let you.

that's because the XVG network was attacked.  Almost all major pools disabled it and waited for a fix.   Someone was illegitimately mining one block per second for hours and hours worth of time.

How can they "alert" or warn someone when a hack like this happens?

Wallet is online;  but whats blockheight, does it match the network blockheight via an explorer?  My guess is it is re-syncing?

Anyways;  expect major issues like this when something major like that hack happens.   Check up on the news, etc.

This coin will pump up 1000% soon
This is why I am sitting on many thousands of coins....   Just in a few weeks;  went from 100sat to 400+.

It's an interesting project; and the supply isn't crazy like most people tend to do....
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak 2.4.2 Compiled with no devfee on: April 09, 2018, 07:10:12 PM
Thanks for compiling this! Has anyone tried with R9 380 or R9 380x cards? What are the best settings?

Not sure about AMD, I only have an RX560 on hand for testing.   Outside input is greatly appreciated, but since it seems to support the old HD cards, so I think the other R series cards should be supported.

Ill have to go over the code... I am still figuring out how the dev wrote the app; but I think ive figured out how the containers work and the different functions of the app work;   If I can understand how to create a second thread for vegas;  than im sure hashrate would possibly bump up.   Don't get your hopes up on this;  it is pretty complicated and im trying to better understand the code....

My grand idea in the end is to be able to incorporate all of the open source miner apps into one.   Not expecting this to happen, but it is a goal.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak 2.4.2 Compiled with no devfee on: April 09, 2018, 05:49:46 AM
[cuda] error gpu 0 something something :365

1080ti on windows 10 64 bit. 21gb virtual memory
edit nvidia.txt

see notes at beginning of file about adjusting bfactor and bsleep.  probably happening cause you have a monitor plugged into GPU #0.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: April 09, 2018, 05:43:42 AM
then again there's people like me working on a FPGA design with my father for off the shelf FPGA's and for it to be open source....   My father has worked with FPGA's before, so I need to give him flowcharts of different algroythms for us to start development.

I plan one FPGA module per 'simple' algo, or some that work with others, if it is able. Others configured with another asic for parallel operation and enhanced speed.... such as rolling-algo type algos, the unit would need multiple FPGA's that all work in unison.

I was thinking modular devices that would be chained on a controller that initializes each asic when powered on or reconfigured via a usb or network interface.    This way you could build a FPGA miner for any algo by just adding the ones necessary and configuring them properly...  Possibly Pi controlled because it has enough serial and I/O, as well as all the extra bits like Ethernet capability, memory, etc.  I know memory in the controller isn't as fast as the ASIC having its own RAM, but... it may be effective for power consumption nonetheless.

I know its far fetched;  but its a real goal.  When I have something on paper, and some tests on dev-boards done...   Ill touch more on it.

But this was my intention.... for creating a hardware device...   to help counter what the monsters are doing.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak 2.4.2 Compiled with no devfee on: April 09, 2018, 05:32:54 AM

thnx,
 the vega  can run two simultaneous threads reaching 2000H/s but need a double string input in the amd.txt and for the life of me I cant get the coding correct (spacing? a comma? idunno) I'm sure I will get right by the end of the day by trial and error
I will come back and post it here

When you do;  generate a fresh amd.txt by deleting it and running xmr-stak again.  Post it here with the #code posting ability
Code:
like this

Ill have a peek and give some input =)

Ill be able to put the Rx560 I have back on xmr-stak off my other tests to generate a amd.txt and see what i see on my end as well.  Im pretty sure the vega driver supports the version of openCL I compiled it with.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak 2.4.2 Compiled with no devfee on: April 09, 2018, 03:12:52 AM
OP, what settings do I need to tweak to increase my speed. I have 6x rx570 and I've run SRBMiner and getting 5700h/s, while I'm only getting 4000h/s with this miner. Maybe you can point me to the settings I need to play around.

I believe it has something to do with the threads and blocks variables;  the .txt file should have an explanation of each one and what it does.

does SRBMiner apply an overclock to the cards when it launches?  that may be the difference in hashrate.

Im not sure is xmr-stak is the quickest miner app overall TBH... but, I do know so far it has a wide range of compatibility with devices compared to most other apps i've tried.
