7821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 5 ICO Marketing Trends You Should Know About on: May 08, 2018, 11:32:27 AM
It's good to see that community management is listed there, and finally being recognized as one of the key elements of successful ICO marketing. Crypto communities are vastly different from the communities and shareholders of traditional companies and organizations. They are much more informed, tech savvy, and often have experienced and knowledgeable people so can be very quick to question, criticize and discuss ICO projects. Ensuring that these communities and their expectations are well managed is crucial!

One thing that traditional marketing continues to ignore is how much it has to catch up with modern trends regarding consumers. Users and communities now want to be involved, engaged, and be part of the value growth of the company/brand/project.

I think this is a really important point in marketing now. Users want to have a more meaningful connection to the projects. When I first joined an ICO last year, I was very excited when everyone seemed to be interested and answering questions. But as soon as the ICO ended, the developers stopped responding and even got very rude to investors, saying they can leave and sell their tokens if they wish. I felt very disappointed, because a lot of the questions people asked were valid, and they were just unhappy that they were ignored and promises were not kept.

I think ICOs must see beyond their ICO and still maintain and even grow their communities after funds are raised.
7822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 of exchange platforms on: May 08, 2018, 10:26:59 AM
now there are a lot of reliable crypto currencies, here is my rating, of course you need to take into account the decentralized exchange, but the rating of the centralized
1. Bittrex
2. Binance
3. Poloniex
4. HitBTC
5. Kucoin
;)now, of course, centralized exchanges are much more convenient, but I think that decentralized exchanges will enter the top ranking. I use bitrix the most, because I like their interface, especially after the updates this year

Exactly! All the ones listed by others seem to be pretty good, but I would like to remind everyone that Mt Gox, Poloniex, Coinbase/GDAX, they all started out brilliantly, loved by people and used so much, but as they grew, their support struggled and speeds went down, and then we know what happened with some of them.

Bittrex I like also, but I never used support, I have read people waiting weeks, the same for Poloniex and Binance.

So you are right to say we should look to decentralized exchanges. Control our own trades.
7823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Buying your ERC20 wallet tokens - Especially unlisted tokens!! on: May 08, 2018, 09:14:00 AM
Would you be interested in POSTokens (POS) and Bobx tokens? I have them in my wallet, to be honest I can only remember once asking for the POSTokens and they even used to trade above $1.5 each but I do not mind releasing them if you are willing to take them at the old ATH. 1500 BOBx I have no idea how they got to my wallet. What would your quote be?
7824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your favorite privacy coin? on: May 07, 2018, 09:40:15 PM
It has always been Monero for me,,, even if I see it at the bottom of your list! It has been criticized for security flaws, but hey, so was Bitcoin and it has not been exploited after 10 years now. Monero is classic. It has uses, it is accepted many places, and it is one of the most mature blockchains around. I cannot see much sense in holding anything else because I would not know where to use them. Verge I hold only for trading and speculating, would never dream to use it not even on PH now.
7825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: By June 1st, 2018 the FREE coin will be the largest cryptocurrency on the market on: May 07, 2018, 06:09:01 PM
I don’t want to be sarcastic
But one of the weird problems in crypto currency is hype

Stop spreading hype news and put people under pressure and take note

Total supply never determines how successful a project it

The success of a project is based on the content and quality of the project
Always remember that
Always

Do not worry, there are not enough sarcastic people in the world. And no, hype is not only a weird problem in crypto, it is basically a natural weird problem of humans. You say something at 2000% of what it is, and people believe "hey, if it is even half true, it is still 10 times better than 100%". And then like sheep,,, we follow others into the hype, and for fear of losing, we also add to the hype.

Let them all board their hype train. Let them learn on their own.
7826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold your ETH until cross 1k on: May 07, 2018, 02:10:54 PM
ETH has a very promising future in crypto currencies. $1k price per ETH is still undervalued. I think it would try to retrace back to its support level of $400 per ETH before crossing $1k and beyond. Within this year, we may see it hit another ATH because of the development undergoing for ETH. I would hold this coin until such time it has been fully developed.

What really is the value of ETH anyway? If People have said the true value of Bitcoin based on actual use and volume between economy beyond trading, was around $1k, then how would you think ETH is worth that much? If there is demand for ETH purely as gas to run smart contracts and DAPP, maybe, but even so not to the point of $1k for ETH.
7827  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may continue to move higher on: May 07, 2018, 11:18:31 AM
With High hope and strong believe, BTC is the king of all coin, price is moving steadily sure it will hit the $20,000 speculation, No need to panic as an investor,Digital currency is here to stay.

High hope and strong believe? In the market? No way.

The only thing I believe in is Bitcoin's fundamentals, and everything else (the market mainly) points at speculation. Don't forget that we're still in a time where one announcement can shake things up badly, and this alone is something that prevents me from becoming excited, and it helped me go through everything a lot more effectively. I seriously wish I started like that when I first entered the market years ago, but we all start as noobs and learn from mistakes. I'm happy that my conservative nature is more than helpful for me when it comes to holding my coins firmly, and it would be a good thing if others did that too.

Yes, this is the funny thing people have. Of course it is correct and right to have hope and believe, but only in your own strategies, your own decisions, your own trades. But you cannot hope and believe in price simply for nothing. Fundamentals are what we seek our strength in, and you can always see good signs coming from almost every angle of Bitcoin. Its technology,,, Its use,,, its pure value as seen not just by us but even by the traditional finance more and more (just see the thoughts of IMF recently).
7828  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't lose your faith in BTC. on: May 07, 2018, 07:43:38 AM
I think those charts are a good visualisation for all the new and weak people in this game. They always get in panic and sell their coins when the price dumps. So thy make just loose. Maybe theres a mind change when they look at this charts in the past of bitcoin life. They just have to understand, you cant invest in bitcoin and await that you are tommorrow rich. Thats not possible and it was never ever possible. People who got rich with bitcoins, hold their coins like nine years or more!

I think all charts have their use. What we should be careful is to realize that all charts use data that are input as the creator wanted, so of course exploit some sort of trend. Very few think: let me see the charts and see what info it has for me. Most think: let me find a chart to support what I believe is happening. And then they find one such chart, tweak the dates, tweak the sources, until it gives them the most accurate reading.

There are those who got rich by patience but also those who get it by luck. Bitcoin has been kind to people who waited, and also those who got lucky.
7829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Battle between BTC and Other Coins? on: May 06, 2018, 04:46:05 PM
To understand the difference between bitcoin and alternative coins, you need to familiarize yourself with the history of their occurrence. I would advise you to read the book "Digital Gold: Bitcoin and the Inside Story of the Misfits and Millionaires Trying to Reinvent Money". In which the history of bitcoin is described in great detail and how it became the main cryptocurrency.

It did not become the main cryptocurrency,,, it was the very first one, and from there was the main and today still is the main one. Major altcoins are also seeing a lot of use, the most is Ethereum, particularly because of their dapps and all their ETH-based tokens, but Bitcoin is still the only one that really sees major use (spending, buying) besides trading. There is no battle for BTC, other alts might see it as a fight or even war, but BTC stands on its own.
7830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum reached $800 mark on: May 06, 2018, 01:14:44 PM
And as I predicted yesterday (haha after all I must also get the chance to say my predictions are correct sometimes, right?) the price has now fallen back below $800. This is the correction everyone is waiting for. Now we only wait for the news to come out of US SEC. If they say ETH tokens are a security, then we will see more corrections and sell off (but I think this should not happen in the most dire case), but if not, $800 will resume once more and possibly march towards a thousand dollars.
7831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have received the token and I am confused to sell it? What do you think on: May 06, 2018, 11:57:14 AM
The answer is unknown.
I will tell you my experience about one of my bounty token. I have received a token which was only worth $0.0001, it's just a shit token, right? With such low price like that, i'd prefer to hold it. 6 months later, i sold all my token because the price reached $0.001 (10 times higher) and got some nice profit, but you know what happened in the next month? This token reached it's ATH at $0.1 and i regretting to sell my token too early
This is why it can be very difficult to give and advice on what to do, I have seen coins that I think are very good to remain flat for a very long time, and I have seen coins that are very clearly scams or that have nothing going on for them to skyrocket incredibly fast, so it is a very difficult choice but if it was up to me and I got some tokens I will probably hold them just in case the coins skyrockets and I earn a fortune that way.

If I was a rich person, I would spend a month to select good tokens and coins, spend another month to choose an ICO or two to invest in,,,, do all of that in month three. Set sell order targets for whichever he wants to,,, And then just continue doing my work and life, and come back only after one year, and do that every time. I would bet most people who held would eventually make it big, ride out all the red charts, the bear markets, the FUD, and claim all the profits for being patient.
7832  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 10k $ on: May 06, 2018, 09:24:07 AM
It's hard not to be optimistic with it beating on 10k right now.

Yes, its really inching to $10K however, I don't think it has surpass the price yet, well that's based on cmc. Maybe some exchanges has reach it at some point already because its like less than $50 before the ever sought $10K mark.

I just do hope that they are still support at this price, as I'm seeing some sell orders that might bring the price again. If that is not the case then in the next couple of hours will be critical but I will remain positive that the $10K mark will be broken soon, or even today, let's see how it goes.

It did pass in some Asian markets, as usual, in South Korea and Japan first, and I even saw it above 10k in localbitcoins (when exchanged from local currency to USD). But as usual a lot of profit takers booked in nice profits from when they bought at below 7000, I guess it is very difficult to ignore more than 40% profits in just a few weeks. 9500 now but it is Sunday, we shall see what happens tomorrow.
7833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum reached $800 mark on: May 05, 2018, 06:22:59 PM
Great time to buy ETH I think.
It's not, the market has been buffed so it's not the right time to buy ETH. Just wait for a day or two and when you see blood on the charts, it's the call for you to buy.
Still relatively cheap but definitely going to see major growth by the end of the year.
Yes it is if we will compare from the all time high but we are on different state now and let's just forget that time, we've been through enough dip for this time.
ETH is now $814, good luck HODLERS.

Yeah, I would not call it blood but I definitely see a small correction first, just like when it first touched 700, it went down almost back to 600 again before slowly rising back up. This is pretty normal I would say, so it might go up all the way to 850 before going down again to maybe 750? Then again, it could just march all the way back up to 900. So if you hold, buy is now.
7834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell 1,2 ETH and by xiaomi or HODL and by Macbook? on: May 05, 2018, 04:59:33 PM
my personal experience: I bought myself an iPhone SE, and a month later I could buy an iPhone X with the same amount  Grin Grin I am a winner in life Cheesy

Oh with technology you will always feel regret. So just buy what you need, when you need it. If you do not need it, then wait until you do. And when you need it, buy so that you do not need to buy again for a couple of years.

With ETH, if you can afford to, hold. Now that it is already $800 it means I doubled my money on the few ETH I bought at $400. But I sold a little at $700 a week back, I needed the money and did not regret. Long term holding ETH will not even be sold at $1k or even $1.5k when it eventually reaches.
7835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: May 05, 2018, 12:41:29 PM
Ever heard of the Waves DAO hack? Exactly!

Haha. Good one. I bet 99% of ETH people never heard of it, and the 1% will have all sorts of excuses to say that it was not as bad as others say. Regardless, I seldom use this as a way of attacking ETH vulnerability, I see it only as a reason to be wary and careful of investing in a project that has such a bad example of leadership. I think if WAVES ever gets as popular it will also be under a lot of attack and could be vulnerable one day. But the leadership I believe will take a different route from ETH if something bad ever happens to it.
7836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best cryptocurrency next to bitcoin? on: May 05, 2018, 10:41:29 AM
In my opinion, you should do your own research.
Don’t pick any crypto just because other people say it is going to “RISE TO THE MOON” in 2018, or because you saw a 30% increase in 1 day.
I cannot stress this enough, don’t do what other people are doing but think for yourself.
Don’t be one of those FOMO people.
Be critical and look at each coin from different perspectives.

“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Yes, but for the newcomer and even for the veterans with years, that rush when you see coins suddenly burst onto the charts, is impossible to ignore. Which is why you have to limit your exposure to all these endless news and charts. Keep your focus on your own objectives, and always apply the same principles to all coins, new and old.

FOMO is not easy to avoid, I know myself, I even bought coins like Verge because of FOMO. Luckily made profit but I know that was always a gamble.
7837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: May 04, 2018, 06:04:03 PM
Bitcoin for sure. Bitcoin cash and other similar coins are only made due to forks, or at least, are made as copies of Bitcoin. And as we all know, it's always the original that prospers. I am not saying that in consideration of the point of origin, like for example with NEO and ETH, many say that since NEO is the China copy of ETH that it's not better, I don't share that belief because copy or not, it has it's own technology at its back and it also has their own following of people who support them, it's just that people trust the original more.

100% Bitcoin. Even when Bitcoin Cash jumped so high after the Coinbase listing. Even when Roger Ver and his minions poured all their money into promoting Bitcoin Cash. Even when people said they would drop Bitcoin and adopt BCH. Nothing convinced me that it would ever sniff the success of Bitcoin. Everywhere in the world the old system is sitting up and taking notice of Bitcoin. Those who noticed BCH like in Canada even said it was a scam.

They might have done well as a fork alt, but they chose to do it in tasteless ways.
7838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where can I find a good bounty? please show me!! on: May 04, 2018, 04:13:05 PM
I have just joined into the bounty program, please show me some good bounty! thank you very much Cheesy Cheesy

If you're looking for bounty campaigns, you can go to bounties section. There's a lot of good bounties in there, but there are also some bounties that are scam. And if you're really interested to participate in bounties, you have to level up first your rank, because newbies are strictly prohibited to participate in any campaign including bounties.

That is not entirely true. Yes, most campaigns on this forum need you to have above Newbie level, but I have personally seen a few that lets Newbies participate. Also, even if you have no account here above Newbie, you can participate in blogging bounties or youtube bounties. Create your own content, if it is really good you get good readers and audience. You get paid for that, regardless of your BCT rank. And there are even other bounties, like email lists, and social media like FB and Twitter.
7839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 04, 2018, 02:39:35 PM
...
Thanks for the stackexchange link.  Just started reading it, will take time to digest.
I'm getting ready to send some xmr to an exchange.  In the event that I decide to claim the monerov later, are there precautions I need to take now with this transaction?  My initial impression is that I can go ahead and make the transaction, and that if I need to deal with print_ring and so forth, that comes later.

The is a very important precaution that you need to take now. When you spend your XMR You need to make use of the mitigation I quoted above in order to ensure that the fake outputs used by a pre fork output are all before the fork, since only pre fork outputs can be identical on both chains.

Edit: It is also best if the XMR spends to empty the wallet, be to a wallet you control, and then from that wallet make a spend to a third party such as an exchange.

Actually, I know this is a suggestion that is always recommended, but why not just wait it out and leave the XMR in your wallet, be patient and claim your fork coins after the dust has settled on all the possible vulnerabilities and threats? I am actually not claiming the forks for Monero but I did that with Bitcoin last year and faced no issues. Maybe you lose some money after the spike, but in fact I made more selling my Bcash long after the fork when it shot up in price later on.
7840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: can eth reach over 700 on: May 04, 2018, 10:29:45 AM
Why ETH is being pumped like crazy? And not Bitcoin? Ethereum foundation and Vitalik are pumping it?
Vitalik Buterin sold most of his coins at 7$ price (At least he announced about that. nobody know is it true or false). There are a lot of huge ETH Holders which can influence on ETH price directly except Vitalik.

Does not matter if it is true or false, he could still have mined a lot more. And most means what? 90%? Even 10% could mean he has thousands of ETH left. at 1,000 dollars, even 1 thousand ETH already means he can own millions, and I bet he has much more than 1 thousand ETH.

Vitalik anyway makes so much from other things and what he sold he surely invested into other tokens. If ETH grows, so do ETH tokens. Win-win situations in my eyes.
