7841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich people don’t gamble. on: March 23, 2018, 08:58:15 PM
Actually, the title of this post is an overstatement, but it helps you to get the idea. Rich people play fewer games of chance than poor people, and they risk a lower percentage of their income.

This article talks about it but only focused on the lottery, although I believe it can be applied to gambling in general:

https://edition.cnn.com/2013/12/18/opinion/lottery-poor-just-opinion/index.html

Why do you think this happens?

I suppose it is because people with a rich person’s mindset think mostly about buying assets with their money whereas people with a poor person’s mindset only think about spending their money, and the only way they can think of becoming wealthy is by hitting the jackpot.

There might be some point but not all the times because this is situational basis on where there are rich people who do gamble big time without any limits because he do know that he do have the money to spend on and he do only think on pleasure than on thinking up on making money even more. This would be just okay as long you do have already a passive income or leverage flow but if not even how rich you are and losing bigtime to gambling will really make you poor again.
7842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did ETH changed crypto world? on: March 23, 2018, 07:37:55 PM
Very often we ask questions, whether ETH is worth to invest. For me ETH changed the crypto world, it is revolutionary.

Here is the article on the ERC20 and how it affected the tokens: https://icoguide.com/en/blog/what-is-erc20-and-how-does-it-affect-tokens

Do you agree? please share your opinion.
SMART CONTRACT this is a feature on where ETH is a unique crypto which isn't really a doubt since its being placed top 2 on the entire marketcap and also come to think off that most coins in the market are using up Etherium platform which some of them did able to succeed too.It doesn't really changed the world for now but atleast there already institutions which do consider into its very unique feature which can be applied into our daily living when it comes to accessibility.
7843  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (WIP) Community Compiled List of Sites Browser Mining on: March 22, 2018, 09:56:09 PM
Can you show me a website currently using this method
In your post you referer about a site for a news article for Bitcoin, you are talking about a small to medium blog, right?

And secondly, aren't the antivirus blocking or flagging these websites?
Eset NOD32 Antivirus do perfectly works with this one on my side.It does detect CoinMiner script when i do tried to access these sites that do have background mining.Thank you for the list and i didnt expect that there were lots of them on having that hidden agenda on using up CPU usage without your awareness.
7844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots machines how to win on: March 22, 2018, 08:56:54 PM
Oh god the slot machines are the worse!

If you like to gamble don't play on slots, they're just eating coins machines.
You have to remember that on real life casinos the slots have to comply to certain legislations. In Europe for example if I remember correctly they have to redistribute 90% of what they earn at least, In USA they're are some legislation for above 60%.

But in digital currencies and online casinos... There is 0 legislation.
They do whatever they want.
And on slots they clearly eat everything.

Come play on dice! There is a guaranteed 1% house edge or even less ^^
60%-90% redistribution is way too much to ask.Slots when it comes to online gaming then odds cant really exactly be computed but for sure it would really be high and after all these years playing on slots doesnt really give me any positive results this is why i decide not to turn back again with slots but yet i do see some people who do win big time with this money eating game.
7845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Bitcoin be more energy efficient? on: March 22, 2018, 08:22:53 PM
I do not believe we will see any major changes any time soon about mining. Mining is huge business on it's own and it would not be easy to try to tweak the code there, I am sure many people will lose faith in bitcoin if it for some reason switch to some other consensus such as POS. Problem is real there, that's for sure and with popularity of bitcoin gaining more attention of the public, more people will try to mine it which means the network will consume even more energy.

Number of miners are increased in huge amount from the past 1 years but they are not mining the bitcoin I guess. You may find the ASIC for the high price and not supported for the various mineable coins still.
So investing on mining with the GPU cards will be better and more over difficulty of mining bitcoin will be increased so you can go with the GPU cards and mining ethereum means it is profitable to you bro.
When it comes to profitability/ apparatus cost / changing mineable coins then i would hands down for GPU since this thing can give you out the chance to jump into one coin to another depending into your decision where you can able to view that you can make profits which is an advantage.ASIC is away more expensive that GPU but still there are lots of people who do make engagement with it.When it talks about energy efficiency it would be more enhanced as it upgrades when boards used up smaller nanos.
7846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Essentials for Traders on: March 22, 2018, 07:51:50 PM
It's all useless.
Without money, there is no trade.
Patience is a matter of course.

Experience will come only when you lose $ 10,000.
And if after that you can not learn himself, then it's not yours.

Give the idiot 1 million and he will lose it, and who knows how to trade with 1 dollar this million will do.
When it comes to bankroll or capital differences there would really be things which do big amounts will always have the edge since we do know that we can able to extent or adjust our position since we do have the big funds to trade on. Money is really the key on here for us to trade no money then there would be no trade. We know this is an investment on where money would be always present.Losing out money cant really be avoided as long we do gain experience and learnings.
7847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why kyc? on: March 22, 2018, 07:27:54 PM
If you guys care about privacy while gambling better re-think before you deposit. below you can find a list of casinos which ask/ don't ask for KYC after winning big amounts

List of sites asks for KYC if you win the big amount.

  • STAKE
  • PRIMEDICE
  • FORTUNE-JACK
  • BITSLER

List of sites which don't request for kyc after winning big amounts.

  • 999dice
  • YOLOdice
  • Just-Dice

I will edit this posts if you guys mention other sites.

Primedice and Stake are owned by same management so that's not a surprise if one will ask other will to, but considering PD is the oldest player I'm bit surprised that they asked for it. I think bitdice doesn't ask for KYC as of now, as I have never won a big hand I'm not sure they do.

I think there is some new rules which require this procedure, while it safeguards the winner, I do hope his documents are immediately destroyed post validation otherwise it'll a disaster in the making if his documents are made public.

If there was any update out here why KYC been asked someone please post here so we all will know what the real reason is.
We cant really be assure for those documents for them to delete them out once they do already get to purpose when it comes to verification. It do quiet suck to provide any documentation when it comes  to have a big winning into particular casino or gambling site.List is quiet accurate but i dont see anything wrong with it. They do own the site which its up to their decisions if they would decide to be applied on or not.
7848  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Matthew 7:12 - Whatever they do to you, you shall also do to them on: March 22, 2018, 06:16:51 PM
That is an interesting thought, but the playing field is uneven. In terms of FUD, the big banks have deep pockets and can afford to put out a narrative highlighting the dangers of cryptocurrencies. Supporters of crypto can put out a narrative on social media, but it hardly matches up to an organized campaign. In terms of regulation, the difference is even more stark. Regulators and big banks are in bed together, and it doesn't take too much effort for the views of bankers to be reflected in the views of regulators. A few independent regulators may recognize the advantages of Bitcoin, but that hardly makes a difference.

This is one big reality we supporters and lovers of cryptocurrency should be facing. The force of the government can be too much to bear because people have no choice but to listen and follow what the government can say and enact. There will be regulations either using the existing laws or ones to be yet created. To say that Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency for that matter is decentralized and can not be touched by the government is technically correct but in reality the perception on the market can be affected even by a single pronouncement by an official or representative of the government.
Really not surprising for us people to follow on what government do say.We do follow them ever since because they are the ones who do mandates laws and other decisions towards into a certain vicinity. Violate? Then expect you would really experience consequences and now talking into banking sector then they would really have their support since they do know that they are regulated and benefits is there and why cryptocurrency would really give negative impressions to them.
7849  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining - Where Are The Reputable Operators? on: March 21, 2018, 06:06:44 PM
Electricity becomes shit recent days in my location as well. Some of the people invested on contracts and get the earning easily without big efforts. However I am not sure how we can find the best cloud mining platform except genesis and hashflare.

About this project I did not find the bad reviews on the badnews site. Hopefully this would be reputed one but I am still not sure about it.
Genesis and Hashflare doesnt have any issues? Then better think off again if you do tried to read up then you will able to see their own problems but still they are operation since they can able to solve out those problems.I can say they are reputable since they are operational for how many years but it wont really be a valid reason for me to invest into cloud mining.
7850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you play online casino? if Yes... on: March 21, 2018, 04:33:11 PM
I did it last year with dust balance hoping that the tricks that I learned from youtube and sites will work but it did not. My funded lasted for a while using those strategies but I still ended with nothing.
I would be happy to know if you have learnt a good lesson from this loss. Believe me if something is not accepted by social norms and values, they’re not healthy and wealthy for people. We often ignore why everyone is saying to terminate this tenure of gambling. They have good concern for us. Those people love us and they want to see us drowning and losing what we have.
People tend to do more of the things that they are prohibited in doing and I know that we can all be like that. For example is when we are sick, there are foods that doctors tell us not to eat but since we are hardheaded, we still eat it for satisfaction. We can relate it to gambling, in our country, gambling is strongly opposed by our religion and gamblers are judged badly because of gambling. Still many people are playing it and many are even encouraged because of the huge profit that they could earn. Gamblers also hide about them playing to their family because they are worried that they might be avoided, discriminated and worst, the family might be ashamed.

Playing online casino games had made gambling more fun, convenient and private. We know that we are able to play without our real identity revealed, with this; many people are coping up with the trend of online gambling.

And this is why online gambling with bitcoins or any other crypto is booming up because of the convenience and the accessibility.People cant really resist out on not to play.Everything was so easy since its just a matter of clicks you would already able to play without any hassle as long you do have the funds to spend on then most of the time you would really tempt to play. When it regards to treatment of the society or community then it is depending on whats their view on either religious or traditional way and it cant really be avoided.
7851  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: G20 closing statement on cryptocurrencies: We will keep monitoring it on: March 21, 2018, 03:14:36 PM
It's 50-50 on this one or neutral if you like. They are waiting for more growth or downfall hehe Smiley
I would like to see it regulated faster. We can see some movements in that direction so I'm not worried.
I don't think that it will be 50/50. As it will lean more towards supporting the cryptocurrencies. We all have seen news about it and as of right now a lot of governments are now vocal about their plans to regulating cryptocurrencies which is more than favorable compared to banning cryptocurrencies in general. With some develop countries accepting Bitcoin as a mode of payment they can served as proof that it can be beneficial for their country's economy as well.

Quote
Additionally, some policymakers showed avid support for blockchain technology, in the period surrounding the transnational quorum.
50-50 chance isnt really considerable.Basing into those statements on screenshots it does really mean that they are really heading on regulation. Monitoring is always been part since they do aware on the risk involved. We should rather be grateful that they do consider on regulating it rather than on full ban. We do have still the space to move on even though there are really feature being affected. Crypto would be no longer decentralized on this matter.
7852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why i love my Altcoins Bounty Journey!!! on: March 21, 2018, 01:08:15 PM
Hi Bitcointalk members, its been a year that i started my bounty and airdrops journey, and i find it very blessed for me, i started last year with Minexcoin, though it was my first time. Now minexcoin has been performing well, and i never sell my coins, so from that experience i started other coins and tokens to work on..Now every week i received a lots of tokens in my wallet, and its worth it because slowly by slowly it appears the value of the coin and im so happy with it.

Thanks to Bitcointalk for the knowledge that i get, you inspired me to work on this.,and also to the members who shared their valuable knowledge in this industry.

Im so thankful to you guys, you made my journey very meaningful.
Lucky for you and for those people who did believe into this coin.I do really have regrets that i do let this opportunity passed up into me.I have remembered on where each MNX coin was just soo cheap and all you need to do is to park them into your wallet and then earn interest either on weekly or monthly basis.Checking out the value it is already expensive to buy on.Im little bit late.
7853  Economy / Gambling / Re: FAIR-DICE.COM - COOL gaming site FREE BITCOIN/DOGECOIN/LITECOIN FAUCET on: March 21, 2018, 12:07:17 PM
Hi Bitinity.

Thanks for your honest questions,

Most of the big bets you see currently on the site are from our QA people.
We are still stress testing the system, we are trying to cover all testing cases  Smiley

Soon we will start several advertising campaigns and then the stress tests will stop.

I think that the design is quit different from pocket dice's - and in the future it will continue to evolve.
We have several more games under development, and then I assure you the sites will look totally different.

Thanks again for your advise :-)

You should really make it entirely different since the past dice scam site (pocket dice) will re-live with this one.Impressions doesnt easily remove into those gamblers who knows the history of pocketdice. This would really passed up and possibly get negative impressions towards the site that legendary cup do remind me the similarities and thanks for Darkstars post on such recall.
7854  Economy / Securities / Re: Invest in gambling site (what you think) on: March 21, 2018, 10:54:30 AM
You must know the background of developers and administrators of that gambling site you want to invest for you to make sure that the money
you're going to invest is secured and even check their platform on how that gambling site is functioning, but as what you have questioned if gamblijng site is good for investment, my answer is, it's not the wise decision.
Its not actually a bad decision since we do know gambling site investment is one of the best thing to do with our money which we should really need to diversify. Returns might not be big compared to other investment but rest assured that it would last for long time but yet these things would really be entirely depending if the site you have invested on is a legit one. I don't usually recommend new sites most of the time but if you can able to handle the risk then its better to try out.

we all know the popularity of bitcoin this time as a digital currency and now gambling inserts and there is gaming and lotteries through online casinos, we are innovating for bitcoins and that is really awesome for the people who love to gamble there money in the casino.
Its just really a matter of risk taking. If you are a person or investor who can able to handle some certain level or risk when it comes to investing then its your own choice anytime since its our money in the very first place. These kind of thing is been always seek out for us people who do like to diversify money as I said earlier we should be keen or careful on selecting which one we would put up our money.

People should scale first and research things about the gambling investment rotation if this one would really fit for him since If he just go invest with this particulars without having a proper knowledge then they might gonna be upset for the result if they lose their capital in certain loss occur. People should remember that we shouldn't go brag for the hype research according to the things we want is very much needed if we really like to put some money on certain platforms.
But there are really people who do still decide carelessly on investing into a particular site either because of the hype around or just select basing with their intuition which would really result into a very high risk decision unless if he did able to directly invest with gambling sites do have a good record or background. You can able to identify it out if you do your own research.
7855  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info wallet doesn't answer my emails on: March 20, 2018, 09:02:26 PM
there is a high chance that you wrote down the recovery phrase wrong.
This can be the case for him. How did you wrote those 12 words? Through clean white paper with a pen or you wrote it by copy and pasting it to your notepad?

If it is for answering or waiting for the blockchain.info's email, they are responsive. My question is how long or how many days you did emailed them?

A day has passed and base on my experience it is not going more than a day before receiving a response from their support / representative.
Im suspecting the same thing which if he didnt able to copy paste those words in a notepad and rather wrote it in a clean paper then chances of errors would be there.Either you missed out some words or  spell it incorrectly. From the given link above by pooya87 it is very helpful to find out the words that might be missing out.Its impossible for you not to recovered or access the wallet if you do have the possession of those phrases.
7856  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 2018 forecast on: March 20, 2018, 07:58:25 PM
Like who the hell is this trying to fuel Cardano to pump here? Need to do better than that to try to convince us into believing that an altcoin will overtake Bitcoin in terms of market cap. It would take a miracle for anything other than Ethereum to take over Bitcoin's position as number one in market cap leader and this could only be the eventuality of a hard decline of Bitcoin.
Also, it is unlikely that Bitcoin will reach up to $43k by the end of the year as it is looking grim just to stabilize around the $10k mark for now. Going to have this prediction in my mind and will hope it does reach there!
lol. That is if he has power as much as McAfee to fuel the pump. Grin Even McAfee these days is no longer taken seriously. Nevertheless, pump or not, if any of these coins get to experience such a huge increase in value, who would not mind ?

If the market turns out to be bullish, we can actually get to experience moments like this for some of the altcoins, but we just have to wait and see. They are all good coins with great potentials so, I would not doubt anything, just that I am just a bit skeptical on bitcoin attaining that height this year, but who knows?
Everything is possible into this crypto market but talking about those numbers on a short period of time isnt really possible to achieve in this year. The timeframe is too short to consider.Coins listed above are always on the top but i dont know about ADA would really have that much growth percentage on this year end.Its a good coin but being pumped out with that number isnt really convincing in my part.

Not sure if this thread is actually an announcement thread or a signature campaign one. But I think it can't be both. Maybe consider hiring someone professional to handle your signature campaign as this isn't the proper way to do it.

About your investments, isn't 30% site profits just way to low for an investor? Did you mean 30% goes to the site and 70% goes to investors or the other way around?

Greetings,

This is not a signature campaign, I just wanted to put our signatures on the thread so you can see it for yourself.
70% of the sites profit goes to the investors.
30% goes to the site.

Regards.
If this isnt a signature campaign why you do create those signature? For sure you spend some money or count as expenses on that one.You just create for public to see it?It would be more worth of if you do launch a signature camp since signature are already ready but i have doubts that you wont able to do such thing.I dont know if you are really financially capable on doing such marketing.Checking out the bankroll i dont know on how you would pay big wins.

Basically it is OK for them to create those signatures, just like what we have seen at Bitvest before they started the signature campaign. Players are able to use it to promote bitsler if they like it, of course they can use their own referral link on the signature. Indeed it is not good enough for marketing purpose, but as you can see that they seems to be limited in case of funds. So I guess they will not be able to run signature campaign. They can't even make a good promo since launching.

Yup agreed, Bumba.Io didn't hurt/abuse anyone just by posting their signature designs in the forum and also at the same time sharing their signature codes. They are also not forcing anyone to wear their signature codes, and any member can use it freely. Plus if they are not in the position to run their own signature campaign they can make the option open for future purposes. This could be a great way to boost the site as a lot of BitcoinTalk members are into gambling.
Im not saying its prohibited or a violation on posting signature and let people wear it for free. Its a good way too but im just saying the fact that no one would really wear those signature if not getting paid. Its sad but this is the truth people do only seek out on getting paid and we cant really deny that thing.Ive been waiting for op on answering those questions above on earlier members since i have the same questions on my mind too.

The signature are for the people on the forum, that want's to help the site grow, and perhaps use a referral link on them if they make some extra cash.

I'm not saying that we won't have a signature campaign.
But I wanna make sure that the site runs smoothly, all bugs fixed, and at least the dice game have been added, before doing such thing.

Regards.
Regards.
It would be more worth of if you do run a campaign to make those signature to be in used. IMHO! Good to hear out on making some extra cash with the affiliate links. It is really just appropriate to launch without any problems towards the site for the convenience of both gambling site owner and to its players itself.Good luck

7860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's effect Facebook banned will have on ICOs today on: March 19, 2018, 09:11:07 PM
If your question was what would be the effect on ICOs if Facebook puts a ban on cryptocurrency advertisement, then the answer is quite simply not much of an effect may be the ICOs would lose one platform for advertisement. There are many other social media's where ICOs do their advertisement through us. So that wouldn't make a whole big of an effect to the advertisements of ICOs.
Losing Facebook is big, after all Facebook is probably the biggest social media site in the entire world so they are losing at big platform for them so I think the effects are going to be a lot bigger than many think, this is not going to stop icos, but it is going to slow them down a little bit and when we take into account that the market is kind of slow and the know your customer policy issues then you are talking about a lot of investments lost for the icos.
Losing Facebook is not big, but Facebook losing the revenue they are generating from those ICO adverts is the one that is big. Trust me bro, they have been getting a lot, and it is just because they would want to at least consider the community and the users since they cannot really get to screen the spammers, then that just had to happen.

It seems before anything and as long as it pertains to ICOs now, you will need to get a legit verified document to be able to do anything and that is good enough for the community.
Facebook is not going to deny itself the huge profits they can get through advertising cryptocurrencies, so something else must be at stake here and the most likely option is they were pressured to do it, it is possible they are being paid to not advertise cryptocurrencies and if that is the case then we can't compete with the money of governments and banks since they basically have all the fiat of the world.
Having the same perception which i do suspect theres someone behind on such ban because same as you said FB can really make out money out of those advertisement made by ICO which they do already impose restriction which they do even know that it can really affect their revenue but the decisions had been made already.Be ready on the next ban which would be on Twitter upcoming next.
