Has anyone seen anything like this in their processes?
working:
cgminer --bitmain-options 115200:32:8:18:218.75:1106 -o uk1.ghash.io:3333 -O xx.btc1:123 -o us1.ghash.io:3333 -O xx.btc1:123 --bitmain-notempoverctrl --bitmain-nobeeper --api-listen --api-network --bitmain-checkn2diff --bitmain-hwerror --version-file /usr/bin/compile_time --queue 4096
isnt working:
cgminer --bitmain-options 115200:32:8:18:218.75:1106 -o uk1.ghash.io:3333 -O xx.btc1:123 -o us1.ghash.io:3333 -O xx.btc1:123 --bitmain-nobeeper --api-listen --api-network --bitmain-checkn2diff --bitmain-hwerror --queue 4096

They might use 16nm chip for S5 and push down the watt per gh/s down to like 0.2.
doubt anyone is that far with 14nm in relation to bitcoin mining atm. Allthough.. if anyone could be.. it would be bitmain or friedcat i would guess..

Update: The official price of in stock S3+ is dropping to 0.5193btc.
How much is S4 dropped by? Nothing yet. But seeing as their S5 is supposed to be right around the corner.. who knows S5 might "just" be a liquid cooled S4 with double density maybe? - like the S3 -> C1 setup

Seems like BM has learned from their preorder mayham.. Thank you Bitmain. From the special place in my heart that belongs to pre-order people.. thank you for not doing it again! L1 have been the only preorder preoders they've ever done, but S5 will be sold from hard stock I believe. True, but the issues with delayed shipping etc. on the S3 have people thinking it was a preorder thing aswell - at least, I think they wanted to get cash in right away, insted of waiting for stock to be ready and testing be completed.

Just don't. Almost everything about BA is really bad.
2 month technical supprt replies, bad customer support, bad (proper shitty) management.

An Inert gas fire suppression system would ruin ROI for any Bitcoin mine but surely if you spent a few million on SP30's you'd buy a few $5 fire alarms and have a security guard?
I think it's an insurance scam but they forgot to buy any first.
You could fry an egg on top of an SP10 I certainty wouldn't put 2 on top of each other.
They have/had people on site.. But agreed, a fire alarm setup with linked firealarms would have been nice.. might have saved a lot of their gear. You'd think you'd invest in cable ties before investing in fire alarms, no? Yup.. but again.. you snooze, you loose.. and so they did.

X1 manufacturing – in testing
We have stopped manufacturing X1 and we will be shipping all remaining customers X1.5 which contains 2 chips and hashes at 160-180 Ghash in an attempt to clear the compensation sooner. Certification for Prospero X1.5 is in progress.
Does this mean that I will get a X1.5 aswell? for my 2x X-1 order compensation? 14nm Bitcoin ASIC
We are still heavily involved in the 14nm ASIC project. We are happy to report that after bringing on board more talent we have exceeded our initial 0.3W/Ghash target by 4.3 times by employing all techniques possible in ASIC and algorithm design. Our current design efficiency is now 70mW/Ghash (0.07W/Ghash) which allows us to build a 1 Terrahash chip in a single die while using 70 Watts at chip level. This will allow development of a 20Thash machine while using 1.5kw. We intend to make this chip available for sale only from stock (No pre-orders)
Sounds good, but lets see the end result.. Im sure if you ever do produce 14nm you'll be sub 0.1w.. or well, i hope.

Did people flash the latest 1024 firmware?
Did it help anything but the "better firefox and chrome" support? - ie. make the miner run the updated cgminer properly..?

how do you mean?
Im not sure what part of it you are unsure about..? I mean. Did they ever pay you actual money? Or are you working on vapor-promises from the the so called "management" or "everyone" ... How many people are in this so called management? - I mean, I'v emailed with a couple of - no offence - but close to being retarded support people.. who got no fucking clue how to do customer care or customer support. But there has to be some not-so-fucking-dumb-that-they-cant-even-manage-to-answer-a-fucking-simple-question-as-in "where are my LCD displays?" .... Christ... When is your loyalty going to end? When the cops come knocking on your door charging you with money laundering and chrimes related to theft? ... cause your so called "management" wont take the hit. Thats for damn sure. They'll put it all on the small guys, and that - again, no offence - is you.

Wheres the new firmware bitmain..?

|
Hopefully we should hear something
David has added to the forum at ecoin:
"I'm currently busy with an update. Just need to communicate it properly before posting it."
When asked if it will be today
"I'll do my best to get it out ASAP, but can't promise any date. It greatly depends how busy everyone is at the times I am able to contact them to decide what will be in it. "
I love the "everyone" ... the company is run by a man who's possibly nowhere to be found.. I wonder if david ever got paid..?

The picture is from bobsag´s hosting facility, he therefore doesn´t own the majority of the shown miners.
It also looks like his thermal engineering isn´t optimised to the fullest extent, as there is a significant amount of unused space in those racks.
Hes already pulling a lot of density. Unless he can somehow duct out all of the hot air, im pretty sure hes capped to capacity due to not having a hot/cold isle containment.

This should be in the marketplace - but Lets see some pics of the unit!

"Mmmm hashrate" indeed... Mmmm hashrate
Not mine. QG So thats where all the money went... This is a client's, not mine. There are about ~190 machines total, not sure if all of them made it into the pic. ~855TH .57KW Humm 487 KW. At .10 per KW his electric bill alone is 35K per month. Making about 350 BTC per month. By December that number will be down to 150. Hope BTC doesn't go below $200. Not going to ROI. Im pretty sure he got a decent discount on that amount of SP's.

Antminers s1 still profitable for you Probably solo mining farm That, and/or someone with cheap power + electric heating of the house.. That setup could be a decent floor heating system or if the heat is sucked into a vent system for the winter months
