My pool is running on right channel.
What makes you think so? How do you know which fork is the "right channel" when even the devs haven't seemed to decide what to do with this forking madness yet? Smiley

I'm still getting over my shock at "herominers" posting something besides an ad for his pools...

82  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/pasting) here. Calling for Mod action: please permban on: October 21, 2018, 02:21:02 PM
I could use some help here. I've been relentlessly pursuing a bump-bot ring operating in the following 5 threads (perhaps more): NEOGAME.IO, SafeInsure, BIOHAL, DBX and Neluns.

Unfortunately, while I did manage to get all of the users involved in the first group banned, it seems the mods are dragging their feet with the relentless onslaught of more bots/stolen accounts that have been brought online in the last few weeks. Pretty much every user in the above threads is plagiarizing each other and in some cases I have already found and reported 4 separate instances of plagiarism per user (with a link to a/the source post), but they still aren't getting banned.

Honestly, I am about to give up on reporting because just 1 example of plagiarism should suffice, much less 3 or more.

In fact, given that there is no organic traffic in the above threads, I'd really like to see them locked and/or trashed, as they seem to be violating the "no incentivizing of posting" rule. However, just getting a few more people to find/report plagiarism alongside me should hopefully get the mods moving.

I noticed that Pallas who is listed CTO and Co Founder of Suqa coin (SUQA) https://suqa.org/ is also a core team member of Lethean Coin (LTHN) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4902692.0.
Just an observation. Make of that what you will.

SUQA looks like a completely different - and much less compelling - coin, so not really a big deal.

In other news, you probably want to pause mining while the chain split issues get sorted out. It looks like that perennial spammer, the herominers pool, went off the reservation a few hours ago.

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DERO: A secure, private blockchain with Smart Contracts. on: October 21, 2018, 11:26:47 AM
I found in the first post of this thread mention about Lightweight wallets, but can't find them anywhere...
Do they exist?
Can't help you sorry , anyone know about the wallet gui it is safe to use it or is better to wait for a stable wallet? thanks

The GUI wallet is lightweight - if by that you mean it uses remote nodes to sync to the blockchain rather than store it locally - and it has been working fine for several transfers to and from stex.com.

How to use derod_database.db file from here http://seeds.dero.io/alpha/atlantisDB/ ?
Should I simply place it to the /mainnet folder in the wallet?

Correct.

88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak-JK 2.5.1 Compiled with no devfee 2018-10-18 Fork ready on: October 18, 2018, 03:04:12 PM
I just got 2.5.1-JK running on two different rigs and it was painless for one and quite painful for the other. The painless one is my "daily driver" desktop with a single RX 570 and Ryzen 5 1600, Windows 10 1803 (ie - just got the fall update), AMD 18.5.1 driver, and MSI AB 4.4.0 set to -25% power, 1200 core and 1900 mem.

The problematic rig is 4x RX 560 2GB on an Onda D1800 6-GPU mining mobo running Windows 10 1709 (ie - NOT updated), AMD 18.6.1 (ie - newer driver) and uses OverDrivenTool to setup the GPUs rather than MSI AB. This rig kept crashing either during the bin file compiling or as soon as it logged into the pool. After wrestling with different things for an hour I finally tried bumping up all the voltages in the mem and core clock profiles by 25mV and that stopped the crashing. Of course, that increases the power consumption slightly, but the hashrate is otherwise the same (this is mining Lethean (formerly IntenseCoin), which is still running what is essential CNv7).

89  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: October 18, 2018, 12:29:59 PM
...
But are you seriously going to deny that the distribution isn't biased? The picture clearly shows that almost for every rank, they're more likely to merit their same rank, rather than a much higher or a much lower rank. That goes for EVERYONE, NOT JUST HEROES AND LEGENDARIES.
to interpret this table.
...

You've been droning on about how unfair the merit system is for quite awhile now. Why do you care so much, anyway if legendaries mainly give out merit to other legendaries, etc.? In fact, why do you care about a system that has absolutely no relevance in the real world. It's not like the barista at Starbucks is going to give you a discount on your double soy-boy latte for saying you've earned x number of merits on BCT, after all.

90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining Is NOT Profitable In My HOUSE - October 2018 Mining Farm Update on: October 16, 2018, 11:46:38 PM
I turned off everything except for a rig with RX560/570 cards that are mining a CN-fork coin and just barely making $0.20/day of profit after electricity. If I were selling what I mined on a daily basis this wouldn't be worth the bother, but since I am hodling the coins the modest profitability means I am making more coins per day than I could get from buying for the same cost as the electricity.

However, if the profit turns into a loss - as it has with the Equihash and Ethash coins I was mining - then I will turn this last rig off, too, and buy coins instead.

ya man this is some real bullshit up in here. Yall gonna make me lose my mind.

I shoulda been member rank by now.  Jews dont wanna hand out the merits.

You have 1 measly merit and you already signed up for one of the shittiest shitcoin sig campaigns around. Please tell me more about your first world problems vis-a-vis merit.

92  Other / Meta / Re: How to deal with bumping via fake conversation? on: October 16, 2018, 07:38:37 PM
(Unpaid) bump - I've been reporting more users for plagiarism in the Neluns, Neogame.io, DBX, SafeInsure and Biohal threads but I think at this point these threads need to be either locked or outright trashed as more newbies are being brought online to bump and not all of them have committed plagiarism (lawd knows I'm looking for it).

I conceive that could be viable, mainly in a burly rubberneck loci in organization to construct the pay business in carry easy and fast.

Doubters will question the origin of these posts and blame it on a glitchy spinbot but for the rest of us...this is an eye-opening experience.

This was at turns hilarious and terrifying so I had to check out rucapri0's post history and found a lot of posts in Russian. I was very curious to see if the Russian was gibberish, too, but Google seems able to make sense of it:

Уже все давно понимают, что там где хорошие отзывы, криптоиндустрия готова очень щедро платить. Вот и пользуются.  Проблема в том, что чаще всего таким рейтингам доверяют новички

Translation:

Everyone has long understood that where there is good feedback, the cryptoindustry is ready to pay very generously. So enjoy. The problem is that most often these ratings are trusted by beginners.

Which I would classify as more of a generic shitpost, rather than the epic "burly rubberneck loci" of his English ramblings.
94  Other / Meta / Re: The new rule (1 Merit for Jr. Member) is already reducing spam on: October 16, 2018, 10:15:09 AM
...
Lets remove Juniors sigs completely and make the merit requirement ten to get one. That way we can be way more liberal with merits and at least a shitposter will have to redeem themselves by making multiple quality posts so their previous history shouldn't be something we have to worry about as they've probably redeemed themselves if they've managed to get the ten merit.
...

Hmm... the phrase I underlined is an interesting point which I hadn't thought of despite that I already agreed with your 10 merits to enable sigs suggestion. I definitely would be freer with handing out merits if it took 10 to enable sigs and though I would still check posting history because that's just the way I am, I rather suspect I wouldn't be nearly so thorough about it - just skim the first page, rather than actually read each post on the first 2-3 pages. But this is mainly because of the new form of insidious bump-bot I've been hunting, which engages in "low value discussion" (that is, a two-way conversation that is devoid of real content, as opposed to low value posting, which is basically unidirectional).

95  Other / Meta / Re: The new rule (1 Merit for Jr. Member) is already reducing spam on: October 15, 2018, 10:15:57 PM
But isn't this attitude counter-productive? We're meant to be rewarding users who make decent posts and if a user makes one then that post probably should be merited. I get your logic though ~
But on the other hand I'm with DdmrDdmr too:
~A decent post does not make up for a lame prior posting history. ~

I'm mostly in DdmrDdmr's camp, too, but I also get the point hilariousandco is making. If newbies haven't made at least a couple of decent posts in the month since the new requirements for jr. member took effect then it's probably safe to say they will never get better. Conversely, if a former shitposter/bounty hunter has managed a few good posts in that time then I am less opposed to meriting them. I, personally, won't merit anyone whose post history mostly consists of bounty reports, but that's just a personal preference and, like I said, I see the point hilariousandco is making w/r/t encouraging those users who (might) have realized the error of their shitposting ways.

unhandled 2+ days later

It's called "weekend". Pour yourself a piquant beverage and relax.

Also you're probably behind my 500 reports in the queue, sorry about that Smiley

Point taken! That said, the bots never sleep, and they never get drunk! Though I'm not entirely sure of that last one...

98  Other / Meta / Re: [Guide] Reporting effectively on: October 14, 2018, 08:37:48 PM
Yo Welsh! I'm starting to go a little crazy from the bump-bots I've been chasing after as outlined in this thread: How to deal with bumping via fake conversation?.

The first batch of bots I got banned were all found to have committed multiple instances of plagiarism, but it took multiple reports to get them banned. The current group are mainly engaging in mindless conversation with far less plagiarism, but even after identifying two instances of plagiarism for several users I still find them posting and the reports are marked unhandled 2+ days later. Needless to say, this is highly demotivating, but if it is an issue with how I am reporting them I'll gladly change tactics. Here's  typical example of a report I sent in:

plagiarism - copied from another bump-bot: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4555585.msg44863033#msg44863033

So, is this a case of the global mod(s) still considering me somewhat untrustworthy for not having enough reports (394 at 99% accuracy) or incorrect report format or overworked mods (ok, that one is a given) or does it really now take multiple instances of plagiarism to get banned?!?

And yes, share your investment rules or any experience with investments, how to speak, you need to learn from your mistakes and it will be useful for newbie to know! Cool

Quoted for posterity. Merit beggars tend to not get merit, but often get red trust.
