81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terracoin - not too low ? on: November 08, 2012, 05:53:11 PM
What's the cap on total Terracoins?

TerraCoin differs from Bitcoin in following terms :

Target difficulty is set to allow one new block every 2 minutes.
Difficulty retargetting occurs every 30 blocks.
Block reward is set to 20 TRC (20 TerraCoins).
Subsidy occurs every 1,050,000 blocks (reward/2 every 1458 days ; 4 years).
Targetted total amount of TRC : 42 millions.

http://terracoin.org

~~~~~
Switched from Coinotron to solo for 1 hour, just to check daily luck, and solved difficulty 1274 block!  Grin
I must be blind or retarded (maybe a little of both) because I totally missed that when I originally went to the Terracoin site Tongue
I would totally mine something named FuzzyCoin just because it's fuzzy, and you can pet it. /2cents
84  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICs any proof they are coming for ANY of the companies? on: November 02, 2012, 09:53:19 PM
I haven't logged in before today in a while.  Last I remember was that BFL ASICs were coming out last month.  Did that ever happen?
How did she turn out to be a scam? I thought her story was believable.
Didn't MNW originally have a picture of himself as his avatar when he first joined?  It was of some guy sitting at a desk, in a shirt & tie. /tangent
Okay well in the movie lets get Anthony Hopkins (or maybe Michael Caine) to play the client and oh I dunno, maybe Johnny Depp to play Pirate.
Hopkins/Caine (Client) behind a desk piled with stacks of "decks" of unmarked twenty dollar bills. You know, the bound with a paper ribbon batches, but make them look used so its clear they are random unmarked bills not fresh from the counterfeiter's printer or sequential bills fresh from a bank.
Client: "Nice to look at, isn't it? I love the smell of small unmarked bills in the wee hours of the night. Go ahead, take a whiff. I'm afraid that is all I have for you this time, however, as your services are no longer required."
Stage Direction: Pirate makes a move toward taking some of the cash.
Client: Ahem, not so fast young man. Just smell it. The smell of it is all I have for you this time, your services are no longer required. Luigi?"
Stage Direction: The Thugs, led by Luigi, move in on Pirate, "gently" and "courteously" ejecting him from the premises...
Can we stay on topic for once, please?
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7970 undervolting on: September 11, 2012, 09:15:54 PM
Wait, how are you guys undervolting with MSI Afterburner?  My voltage slider is blank... is there some option/setting I have to turn on or something?
Go to settings, and unlock voltage control.
If that doesn't work, your BIOS is voltage locked.
Thanks, I'll try that when I get home, though I'm afraid it's the case of the latter.
Don't trust anyone. Only invest money that you can live without.
Well, except you can probably trust people who like big butts. Because they can not lie.
I posted this over in Goat's PPT thread, but I probably should have posted this here:
So what's this I hear about sending a receipt of your GLBSE holdings directly to Pirate in order to be paid out?  I read that in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104944.0
Can anybody verify this is how PPT bond-holders are supposed to recoup their funds?
So there's only been a narrow window of maybe 48-72 hrs where pirate has been sure of the timing of anything, and that was for the deadline to hand in info?  That's it?
95  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: pirate payments list -- accounts paid: 23/459 on: September 02, 2012, 05:44:03 PM
Weird. I submitted the required info but still received nothing.
96  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: pirate payments list -- accounts paid: 22/459 on: August 31, 2012, 06:25:55 PM
Have we heard from any of the owners of any of the 22 accounts that have been paid out?
97  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 29, 2012, 01:48:57 PM
Seriously, do you really think that Pirate gives a shit whether you will help your own customers to prove that they own the PPT bonds? Smiley
If you don't prove it - he will just keep the money waiting... and the people will come after you, not after him.
So if you think that the attitude of "no - we won't say who owns the bonds!" is going to do any good for you, then you must be even more stupid than I had thought.
I'm not sure if you're just playing dumb or you really can't figure out one obvious way that Pirate can fugue out who owns what shares. All on a voluntary basis without intervention by Goat or Nef.
98  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 29, 2012, 04:59:09 AM
Wrd, on top of that I don't understand why bonds are ”tricky”. Just pay out the security issuer (Goat) and let him divvy it up from there. The only reason why it would be ”tricky” is if he (or whoever its using him aa sock puppet) wanted to ID all the bond holders. I wonder why he would want to do that?
99  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 29, 2012, 04:20:07 AM
Goat, what are your plans for these bonds. Will you keep them open in case Pirate actually returns something?
Yes, if pirate will pay back something I will pass it on.
I see no reason to stop trading now.
I'm pretty sure he will pay back a percentage, though I'm not sure exactly how much. I'll try to find out more.
