I don't care if people think I'm a scammer or not, I just want to sell my macbook so I can un-fuck my fucked up situation.

Did you mean to post this on your ThyDude account?

I'm bullish as well, but not for another couple years.  In the meantime I hope it goes lower (difficulty too).

Are there any plans to implement merged mining?

Come on 8XX,000 difficulty!

I am curious,  how do you know you have 500,000 tries.  when I soloed I did not see anything except a hashrate.  Only found blocks report an 'accepted share'  afaik.

Probably an approx figured based on hash rate.
847  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: dual 5970 + 5830 instability on: October 06, 2011, 08:00:13 PM
no gpu temp is able to cross the 80c barrier before crashing.

how do I check vrm temps?

my only thought is maybe the motherboard I'm using can't handle 5gpus? I use the same motherboard for other rigs with no problem (3x6950, 3x5830), but that's only 3gpus.

motherboard: MSI 870-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130290

if that is the problem I will likely start sobbing, as I'll have to ditch either a 5830 or (gasp) a 5970, plus I'll have extra juice from my power supply going to waste. (I know it's not actually 'wasted', but i would want to utilize everything i have at my disposal.)

thanks for any advice

I have the same mobo, but only 4 GPUs (one 5970 and two 5870s).  You can check the VRM temps with CPU-Z (gonna have to Google that one).  Normally you'd want to see those at 100C or under.  Have you tried taking the 5830 out of the equation and just running on the 5970s?

Who is Virtrom?  Link to original thread?

Hmm.. what temps are your GPU cores hitting?  What about VRM temps?

I've done 340+ with my 5830, but it wasn't 24/7 stable.  Can you mine for weeks on end with it at 350 MH/s+?

I wonder if ixcoin author is gonna try resuscitating his little baby tho....
So doing a find/replace now makes one an author?  Hmm, maybe I should start publishing some works based on Harry Potter novels Smiley

No matter what you say SC will always NOT be the first and will simply be an iteration of Tenebrix.

GPU hostility or better known as parallel computing hostility was tried and failed awhile back by cryptographers trying to come up with a hashing solution that couldn't be cracked by the likes of GPU's and FPGA's. Same principle applies here.

Works for me and rather than get greedy, I'll simply drop a single 5770 on it and rack up hella lot of coin. A single 5770 will compute like 30 Core i7-2600's  Grin

You know you're from the bay area when... Smiley

Don't know, don't care.  Whatever one yields the highest BTC ratio is the one I'm going to mine.

Who's still investing in GPUs at this point?
Anybody who is interested in Battlefield 3 or MW3.  Which is quite a lot of people Smiley

How do you figure out how many GG coins you have?  I've mined a few blocks, but this GG client is kind of cryptic.
858  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: [MINER] Phoenix - New efficient, fast, modular miner **BFI_INT support!** on: October 02, 2011, 03:12:24 AM
Ok so I installed 1.64 (replacing 1.50) and my 5870s perform about 10 MH/s faster.  However, my 5970 is about 10 MH/s slower per core, so I guess it's a wash.  Anybody have any tips on parameters for a 5970?  I'm currently using BFI_INT VECTORS FASTLOOP=FALSE AGGRESSION=11 WORKSIZE=256 -k phatk2 and getting about 390 MH/s per core at 910/200MHz.

I tried several deposits of i0 and ixcoins this morning.  The deposit of ixcoins directly from my wallet worked ok, but the deposits from my pool seem to be hung up.  Using block explorer they say "Not yet redeemed".  I don't get it.
