141  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOIN SAVINGS & TRUST - Just when you thought Bitcoin was instant.... on: August 20, 2012, 06:04:59 PM
Has anybody started getting their coins back yet?
142  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: It's monday now, i'm waiting for pirateat40 returning coins to his "investor" on: August 20, 2012, 04:25:41 PM
Has anybody even made contact with him (PM/Email/IRC/voice) since he made the announcement about closing down BTCST?
143  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: It's monday now, i'm waiting for pirateat40 returning coins to his "investor" on: August 20, 2012, 04:10:09 PM

145  Economy / Goods / Re: Hand made chainmail shirt & coif on: August 19, 2012, 12:03:56 AM
I had a chainmail bikini top made for me at the Renaissance Festival a few years ago and it took a long time to get everything just right. How well do the tops fit without actually having the person you're making it for there to tailor it to?
146  Economy / Securities / Re: Kraken Fund (closed to new accounts) on: August 18, 2012, 10:17:38 PM
Hi Patrick.  Can I be on the wait list for #2 as well?  Thanks in advance.
147  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan for my car requested on: August 18, 2012, 03:19:28 PM
Actually, A professional post rather than some shit sob story would most definitly attract more lenders. EG: Need 150btc, <insert repayability and style> <Insert intrest> <insert a DEADline> <insert link to credibility>

Works for me all the time.

It probably doesn't hurt that you're an OG member either Tongue
148  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 18, 2012, 02:25:28 PM
The pass through bonds are now essentially bets if pirate will pay back or not... it's a pretty equilibrium, interesting...

If pirate knows hes going to pay back he should buy every single bond out there for massive profits  Cheesy

There's around 1500 shares of BOND-P with an ask price of below 1.00 and they have an average price of ~.95 BTC.  So he could make a profit of about .05 BTC per share, minus fees, or about 73 BTC.  Not even worth his time, IMHO.
149  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: So now that Pirate is closing BTCST... on: August 17, 2012, 10:44:10 PM
If pirate is legit and has some extra coins, he should be buying every single pass through selling under face value.  Of course, this hasn't happened...

Good call.  However, with the volume of BTC Pirate deals with, I'm not sure he'd want to bother with the relative tiny batches being sold below face.
150  Economy / Service Discussion / So now that Pirate is closing BTCST... on: August 17, 2012, 08:32:20 PM
...will we get to know what he was really doing?
151  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 17, 2012, 07:22:19 PM
Chaang Noi,  are you still good for a buy back at 1?

as soon as i get the funds from pirate, i requested 5000 btc from him yesterday, he said it would be here shortly, however now that he closed i dont think he will pay out until Monday. so i dont know :/

I think you need to ask for 27 895 + dividends Smiley

that 5k was partly for your payment, and yeah, funds will be passed on once i get them. thanks

Oh cool.  I guess we just have to wait and see.  What becomes of the TYGRR.BOND-PI?  Err, I guess I should ask this in the other thread.

153  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BDT - 3% weekly interest bond, backed by Bitdaytrade on: August 17, 2012, 05:35:54 PM
Don't be impudent. Despite of what you think, I'm not stupid and I see quite well through what you're actually doing.

You advertise yourself as the most honest guy out there, more trustworthy than OCT rating, asking people who don't trust you to keep off your bonds, you even sacrifice for the investors, but when it actually comes to fulfilling your commitments, i.e. to buyback the bonds as you promised, you just look away pretending that you haven't noticed the question. Or you are just too busy with your next holiday...

You call people who sell your bond <1.0 stupid, but the truth is that they are actually not that stupid, because the main reason why the TYGRR.BOND-P have been underpriced for weeks is that you simply don't honor your own obligations.
So next time, before you start throwing shit onto others, why won't you just try looking into a mirror first?
To be fair, I have talked with Goat via PM, and I've already sent in my shares to be paid out at 1.0485 (or whatever the new Pirate rate is, minus Goat's fee) per share on Tuesday.
154  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 6.8% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 17, 2012, 12:45:00 PM
I find it interesting that after the rate change, the prices on this bond dropped to a point that the actual return is roughly at 7% again.  Cheesy Definitely a steal, IMO.

I was thinking the same thing.
155  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 6.8% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 17, 2012, 11:21:17 AM
Thread title needs updating to reflect the new rate Smiley
156  Economy / Speculation / Re: I speculate we won't go any higher than 13.50 this week. on: August 17, 2012, 03:26:03 AM
People we are going back to $17.50 at least before the end of the year. I say this because mtgox was trading at that price before mtgox got hacked and everyone went bearish. Buy now maybe you will tip me later if I'm right  Grin

Ah, the good ol days.  I remember the price sitting at $17.XX for weeks on end, to the point where people were posting threads like "Why $17?Huh"
157  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Open-air mining frame? on: August 16, 2012, 10:33:59 PM
Does anybody still sell those open-air frames?  I'm thinking about building a new game system, but all the McATX boxes look the same and dumb.
158  Economy / Lending / Re: Starfish Personal Credit Ratings on: August 10, 2012, 01:57:06 AM

159  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 1 BTC urgently, paying back 2 BTC in day [EDIT: need 0.5] on: August 09, 2012, 04:01:24 AM
It's not gone anywhere yet
I think he meant that whenever you get your "loan", you'll be gone for good.
160  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 6.8% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 08, 2012, 10:26:48 PM
Goat, if we want to sell back @ 1.00, what do we need to do?  Is there a procedure for this?  Thanks!
