81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New fiasco Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 on: November 07, 2022, 03:34:47 AM
nvidia had to do many more tests before launching the 4090 on the market, that cable adapter provided for the additional power is not up to the task so there will always be a risk of fire

they could have done two that were feed by two eight pin connectors.

so four into two which would have likely been better.

It is the board design, adding extra sockets means "flat and wide" copper on the board, maybe there is a trade off in which they choose less socket.

Maybe they are forcing people to not mine on it, just like what those thermal pad issues on the gddr6x's, this power socket issue is just a lot worse case than thermal pads where you can change it easily..more like a hardware LHR, you mine you burn LOLOLOL

It was so dumb that you can't say that's possible for a big tech corporation, if you look at them the same way as big pharma, it is actually a genius move..an evil genius hehe.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New fiasco Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 on: October 28, 2022, 03:06:25 AM
I have 4x evga 3090ti units.

they feed 3 8pin pcies to that cable.

the tdp on the 3090ti is 350 watts

i run them at 325 watts 24/7/365 dual mining zil and etc.

I cant imagine pushing 450 watts to that cable adapter provided.

even 3080ti suprim x uses 3x 8pin pcie, that 4090 uses 12 pin vs 24 pin (3 x 8pin), x2 amount of wires for a lower wattage cards.

worse case scenario is 4xxx series get another refresh before we get to the next gen architecture of GPUs LOL.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA has reportedly removed LHR from its newest drivers on: October 14, 2022, 05:56:13 PM
Hehe it is so funny like nvidia is kinder garden. If i could talk to nvidias people to face ehhh ehh. What happened? Where is gamers that wanted cards? These gpu manufaturerers will never find good customer like a miner  Grin

Miners become lawballers haha, miners are on top of the food chain, gamers are always slaugthered first LOL

This is a photo of a disassembled RTX 4090 video card. Now thermal pads for modern video cards need to be bought in rolls.
The hashrate of the RTX 4090 graphics card has not yet increased much in relation to the competitor RTX 3090, but this may be temporary.

Cleaning this shit is a fucking nightmare LOL
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 4090 and others on: October 14, 2022, 06:20:32 AM

just like I predicted, 4xxx is a 3xxx refresh, they did improve something to increase core performance but added additional power consumption.

4090 is an upgrade to those who need that "a bit significant improvement" below 4090, nah they're stupid.

it is like 2xxx "refresh" series during last bear market, it was the 3xxx that matters.

probably the 5xxx is what we need, also at the same time frame the next bull run starts.

Looks like a refresh, and I hope AMD launch a great product to fight this 4XXX gen of Nvidia.
Nvidia is trying to force a dlls 3 supposed to works only on 4xxx, but it's already broken: https://www.sportskeeda.com/gaming-tech/news-rtx-40-series-exclusive-dlss-3-s-hardware-limitations-broken-modder-achieved-twice-performance-rtx-2070

It doesnt make sense to buy for mining, no coin to make profits even with this "beast", so Nvidia have to sell cards to gamers, and there's no AAA game right now capable of sell more cards of force a new gen of cards.

it is going to be a boooooooring bear market.

as i said and recommended in the past, miners must have multiple sources of income.

as for mining, stability is still king because the last thing you want is to be pestered by "not profitable rigs" LOL.

87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Resolution Clarification on: October 12, 2022, 10:06:59 AM
1440p is just a refined 1080p gaming, 2k gaming is just a bit higher 1440p gaming.

Over 100 fps 4k gaming is still not a standard in the 3090ti.

Gaming monitors with 125hz and above + over 100 fps gaming, that's what is needed for the 4xxx series

Playing with 1440 is just a hype with numbers to bamboozle buyers.

Metroid was right with 4090, 3090ti is just a good enough passer but not that good at 4k.

You only need to buy 4xxx series if you are going to utilize 4k, it is better to buy high end 3xxx series than buying mid range and low end 4xxx series if you are not going to utilize 4k

You don't know what you're talking about. For simplicity's sake, let's assume a 16:9 aspect ratio. 1440p is 2560 x 1440 or 3.6864 megapixels. 1080p is 1920 x 1080 or 2.0736 megapixels. 1440p is almost twice the resolution of 1080p. 2K *is* 1080p, 2048 x 1080 specifically, so, no, 2K is not "just a bit higher" than 1440p. It's basically *half* the resolution of 1440p.

The rest of your post is also nonsense.

Please refrain from spreading bullshit.

Yeah, i was wrong with 2k, didn't do gaming for quite a while LOL

But performance wise the rest of the post is correct. You only found one error and you cancel the rest LOL

If you are not gaming in 4k cheap 2nd hand 3080ti/3090/3090ti is better than mid range to low range 4xxx series, that's the point.

Counting pixels is one thing but having 1xxx, 2xxx, 3xxx and knowing the hardware involve is another  Wink

The game i want to point out is cyberpunk 2077, not some low quality graphics game BTW, cutting edge gaming in comparison to cutting edge GPU.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 4090 and others on: October 07, 2022, 11:31:19 AM
Nvidia’s RTX 4090 can achieve over 500 frames per second (fps) in Overwatch 2 at 1440p resolution, a ridiculously fluid level of gameplay – with a notable caveat we’ll come back to later on the monitor front – Team Green itself has told us.

To be precise, Nvidia’s own benchmarking(opens in new tab) shows the shooter (which was released just yesterday) running at 507 fps on average with the RTX 4090, and this was at 1440p with max graphics settings (the test rig paired the GPU with an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU, by the way).

As for the RTX 4080 16GB, that achieved 368 fps, and the lesser RTX 4080 with 12GB (cough, RTX 4070, ahem) still managed 296 fps.

The only choice I see here is the 4090, all the other gpus are last generation performance, not worth, like I said before at 1499 usd I would buy and it seems I almost got the price right, 1599 usd price is strange, I was sure would be 1499 usd.

Price should be close to this, i mean the value of the gpu is directly proportional to the money it can produce(mining). ~3k usd from op is the price if ETH is still mineable.

Fun is over hehe
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: In your opinion, which altcoin do you think is going to be the new king of POW on: September 17, 2022, 05:53:54 AM
panic POW, that is the king for now. miners panic! their profit reduced to negative.

panic POW is sero carbon, just pull the plug and the gpus will be the coolest mining gear ever.

92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need Urgent help with my electricity consumption !... on: September 15, 2022, 01:43:31 AM
watts as cooling measurement makes things confusing.

maybe there is a confusion error in installing that AC because of that 2800w/2600w label.

30m2 area can be cooled ideally by 2.5ton which is around 2600watts (electrical).
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Immersion cooling / non-BTC miner on: August 31, 2022, 06:30:02 PM
very good idea. I found a bigger idea. I will build this system on a large scale in the future and I want to supply a city with hot water. co2 free city by crypto miners. let the mining companies realize that the future of the district heating service is in their hands.  Cool  Cheesy

Before going full scale city, start with the neighborhood.

There are countries that have their electricity bills skyrocket, a neighborhood crypto mining to heat their homes might be a money saver.

It may not be profitable but cutting cost by some significant enough %  is better than paying in full.

Now, if you are making money from mining then you can compete with the price of heating services.

Feasibility study and small scale first hehe.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Immersion cooling / non-BTC miner on: August 31, 2022, 04:03:07 PM
mining works 0-24. system first heats bath water and then the heat exchangers. I have a total of 172 liters of hot water with which I can take a shower. if I'm cold, the house thermostat turns on the secondary circulation pump and heats the house. What I created: no wood or gas heating. I don't pollute the air. At the moment, I buy electricity from the electricity supplier, but in 1-2 years, the mining will be powered by solar panels and I will protect the land 100%. I am ending the era of crypto mining polluting the environment. I share it with the world so that they can see and know how to use the abundant heat energy that the machines provide. Energy is not lost, it is only transformed and every miner can use the transformed energy. Wink

If you can increase the liters of hot water, more miners. You will have a lot more hot water.

Hot water + volcanic sulphur = onsen.

Onsen are a very good to health and skin.

Search the internet and you'll see that in japan they have packets, sachets of those powders, they are for home or travel use so that you can put them in your bath tub.

Now if you can source those locally and make onsen baths, that is from home/personal use to business.

You'll earn from mining and you'll earn from onsen.

If onsens make you $$$$ you won't have to worry about bear markets.

96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are miners going to attack before the merge? on: August 31, 2022, 11:43:12 AM
If I had my own crypto exchange, I would earn millions. When the ETHW coin trade opens, its price will quickly fall. You need to sell a lot of futures now, then sell a lot of coins before the start of the ETHW fork, but prevent other users from depositing coins. And then buy the right amount of coins at a cheap price.

Exchangers scams are as old as crypto LOL  Grin
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Immersion cooling / non-BTC miner on: August 31, 2022, 04:43:37 AM
heaters are 3k-10kw, depending if they are just shower heaters or multi point heaters.

3-10kw, that is a huge "electrical space for mining"

if you maxed out your electrical space with mining, imagine every time you take a hot shower you trip your breaker LOL.

this heating project is a must is you can do it in a non-warehouse mining environment.

you can even make a sauna room with heating  Wink
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: #beam is future? What do you think. on: August 29, 2022, 06:25:47 AM

yeah you bought cheap and it runs till ROI then poof it is bricked, yeah you ROI'd but energy and time wasted LOL
