81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2021, 07:11:26 PM
I would give a 60% chance it's going down under 20k$ before it hits 40k$ per coin.

What I can't wait to see is how it will go back up to a new ATH after, I would be it goes pretty high pretty fast but especially if the USD$ goes down but a long hard multi-quarter winter sub 30K$ is also possible.
82  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Allow Jeff Bezos to go back to Earth on: July 10, 2021, 07:07:25 PM
I am surprised he is so hated after everything he has done right.

As the ex-CEO and founder of one of the biggest corporation, he represents what a lot of people despise but there are so many fantasies, he found capital cheaper and faster, tried more things, executed better and had better principles coupled with a great consistency so in comes down to he was able to provide a better service for a cheaper price so he did a better job than the its competition to do exactly the same thing they are doing and the same thing most of us are doing as well.
83  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Let's say you have a large amount of BTC and you on: July 10, 2021, 07:03:26 PM
Let's say you have a large amount of BTC and you want to spend it / invest it / transform it in fiat but you do not want the BTC to be traced to exchanges or to you, how would you do it ?

That is certainly hard for us but live no choice and we have to use any services like exchanges to help it out and converted our BTC to fiat money for safe transactions. Mixing services could offer you such help but I don't think it works BTC to FIAT money but that gonna be cryptocurrencies only, so you still need to trade your BTC to another platform. P2P is also available but mind a possible scam and will lose your money instanatly.

But thinking like that, you just make yourself/ourselves harder. KYC is not a thing we have to skip or to worried about because it was a part of the development and this has been made to verify the ownership of the account and sooner or later, KYC might be a mandatory case for all crypto users.

It would be nice to be able to keep your wealth private without having to forcefully tell so many authorities and companies.
84  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bybit Review: The Best Margin Trading Platform on: July 04, 2021, 11:26:40 PM
I don't agree with Bybit as the best margin trading platform, because Binance is still the best right now. Although Bybit exchange
not the best, but that doesn't mean Bybit is a bad margin trading. After all, the trading volume of Bybit is also high, so Bybit is
indeed a great alternative to a margin trading platform.

So many traders are merging on Bybit, their growth is great because the platform works well with very little splilage and great promotions.
85  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your trading strategies ? on: July 02, 2021, 11:01:07 PM
I don't have a lot of bitcoin so I guess my only strategy is that of hodling until the prices go up really high because even if I want to trade, my time won't allow it since I have some work to do and other endeavors to improve upon.
Dont mind the description of amateur to spot trading, not everyone can trade at other levels without strong knowledge of technical analysis, they wont tell you the risk and size of money lost. Whales dont trade swing, margin or future, they are hodl and sell high, they make more money than anyone here. It is just important to know when to buy and never be greedy with size of profit when it comes.
Whales are playing safe, they are just playing the market and we are just making ourselves a puppet to them but at least, we get some share from them. Like, if we only just know what they have planned next, that is easy for us to make money in trading but unfortunately, we never know. It was sad that noobs must have to fall into a situation that they never know. They keep asking when and why? And the truth is that only BUY LOW AND SELL HIGH, that is the only way to generate profit in here.
IMO, they are the most risk-takers among the investors, yes, they look like playing safe because they are in control of the market, but they would not reach that level of success if they don't start as big risk-takers, and now they are just enjoying their power and their ability to make easy money.

I think there are a few different types of whales : sophisticated, Bitcoin rich, lucky/big risk takers traders.

The first one is very calculated, the two others are gambling more

A friend of mine worked for amazon and he said the working conditions are pretty bad. The richest man alive isn't paying taxes and isn't treating his employees fairly. Do we really need such an entrepreneur in 2021?

Oh, I thought these were two sine qua non conditions to be a successful entrepreneur in the XXI century Roll Eyes

I don't know him particularly, and I suppose he pays many millions for tax and human resources advice, so I don't think it is only his fault. Without more evidence, let's allow Bezos return to Earth... Otherwise we should exile many others and this will be really expensive.

Amazon pays very well, top of the market for unskilled labor. Every single employee of Amazon chose Amazon as its best option or he/she would quit. A lot do actually quit after a while.

Update only 55 people have signed the petition. People don't like Bezos. The big billionnaires are democrate but disliked by other democrates and by conservatives too.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Create a new altcoin with an original innovation on: July 02, 2021, 10:56:42 PM
First ask yourself why you want to make that type of coin. Many have already made that type of coin and they thought that there is a need to make that. If it is going to be backed up by anything then what will be use case of it. The typical use case that developers say is that it is going to be a quicker payment system although in reality we already had a lot. And that means there is no need for it to be made. For the co founder, you must ask yourself what type of co founder you want to have, from the attitude, knowledge and if he is going to have the same enthusiasm as you.

Thanks

There is a huge risk of exploit or hack which is worrying. My idea was to have a crypto that replicated the performance of the 100 largest altcoins
88  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitmex liquidation fund refunded to biggest traders ? on: July 02, 2021, 10:54:45 PM
37,251.4309 BTC in the Bitmex insurance fund, 1,289B$, it would be profitable if they had to redistribute it to the traders
Not gonna happen  Grin

It seems to me you don't understand the purpose of insurance fund. It's not some kind of bonus, yield farming rewards or airdrop that will be distributed to traders after some time. If that's what you think will happen, then forget about it.

You are both right saying the insurance fund is needed.

I do understand exactly how it works and its purpose. I was thinking they could be legally forced to repay traders for their losses, it's very unlikely at this point and I hope for them that they won't have to.

It's not for me, it's to further my understanding of the space.
You reached legendary rank yet Knows nothing about using of Mixing company? wondering if that is your real account or not ..
even newbie knows what is mixers use for the whole community , and also it has been advertised here in the forum for long years now like Chipmixer company.

and of course using p2p will save you from KYC and stays anonymous .

Mixers are definitely an option to consider and can help get cleaner bitcoins, for large amounts, i understand there is still a risk of tracing.

Let's say you have a large amount of BTC and you want to spend it / invest it / transform it in fiat but you do not want the BTC to be traced to exchanges or to you, how would you do it ?
There are multiple options are available to protect your identity. You can simply choose decentralized exchanges or centralized exchanges which are never asking for KYC documents. One of the simple and effective way must be trading your bitcoins for fiat or altcoins with this forum members through escrow. This way you can stay anonymous forever still I bet you will get better rates for your bitcoins.

I am just foreseeing the availability of crypto-loadable anonymous ATM cards which can serve your exact requirements. Some 4 to 6 years back which were easily available but right now both visa and master cards not providing such business.

There are Bitcoin ATMs that allow to sell without KYC, you need a phone number and they take about a 10% fee but you have to change phone number when you have reached the maximum limit without KYC + change location to buy the SIM and get the cash if you don't want to be traced.

For 1000BTC it will take you years of going back and forth every single day.

Would you have any tech adviceon how to create a crypto backed altcoin ? Or tips on how to find co-founders that have crypto tech experience
91  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitmex liquidation fund refunded to biggest traders ? on: June 24, 2021, 10:35:10 PM
Bitmex has a huge insurance fund :  https://www.bitmex.com/app/insuranceFund

As of this morning there is : 33 749 XBT in it so 275 millions of USD at current market price.

Does it need such a big fund and have they withdrew from it for an other purpose than fund unfilled liquidation orders ?

If they never withdraw from it, it could grow way bigger than needed, I am curious if there is some information available in terms of speculating what they could do with it in the future

Once in a while, it goes down, for example :
10/3/2016   37,3167 XBT
10/2/2016   43,7329 XBT

6/23/2016   24,4343 XBT
6/22/2016   48,7981 XBT

37,251.4309 BTC in the Bitmex insurance fund, 1,289B$, it would be profitable if they had to redistribute it to the traders

93  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Let's say you have a large amount of BTC and you on: June 24, 2021, 10:29:46 PM
you can hold your btc because holding it is equivalent to investing and you cant tracked by everyone because you havent made any transaction but spending and converting your btc to fiat is the hardest part because this two requires a transaction and you can be traced after .
why your scared anyway ? are you doing something illegal .

Is was hypothetical.

Holding is a strategy but for a large amount and if you don't have other assets or cash flow, it's a good idea to diversify and enjoy life a little.

For people being in a space sub 1000$/BTC and having a large amount, >30K$ is a good price.

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Large exchanges contacting and offering us to list altcoin? on: June 19, 2021, 01:25:19 AM
for a new coin is that possible? if the project doesn't have something big it definitely won't be possible.
or perhaps, the exchange with the large volume in question is the exchange with the fake volume.
if you are the developer of a project that deserves to be listed on a major exchange. you better do your best. Don't be fooled by what will take advantage of your project for the benefit of certain parties.

If you have 50k$ to be listed on an exchange, you probably invested in the creation of the coin and it's decent.

The exchanges don't take much risk by listing it for 6 months.
98  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can any one suggest best indicator for trading? on: June 19, 2021, 01:17:20 AM
I agree that indicators are not a guarantee that we will succeed in getting a profit in trading, but indicators only make it easier for us to read
market movements. Other things are needed such as risk management and controlling emotions to be able to make the right decisions when trading.
Then don't forget experience is also an important factor in order to avoid mistakes in trading. So a lot of factors that we have to combine,
in order to maximize profit when trading.
But if you can really manage to use it, the chance is higher than those who know nothing.
Even though it guarantees nothing, however, it is a big help when creating our TA's which gives us more advantage. But of course, it seems to be hopeless when we are emotional traders as this thing could just be ignored as our mind has been controlled by our emotions.

This is why I always say trading is not as easy as we imagine, because no matter how good the results of the analysis we do,  there is still
the possibility that we will fail. But as you said doing technical analysis can give us an advantage, rather than we trading just relying on
intuition and luck. With the technical analysis that we do, our chances of getting a profit are much greater, therefore we have to do technical
analysis even though it does not guarantee we will get a profit.

In order to know if a trader is profitable, you have to wait quarters and years bc luck plays a big role.

It's easy to think you are a genius bc you were lucky, and even if you were wrong, you can tell yourself you knew it was going in the other direction
99  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto vs Fiat on: June 19, 2021, 01:11:22 AM
It's so sad that inflation has eaten up everything we have in the name of making some shit income from banks that has been milking us dry since the 70s and 80s.
I don't even know exactly what they have had into people. Saving, just an ordinary interest rate that are insignificant to our life.
Your pictures speak of of just a single solution, invest in cryptocurrency now or wait after 10 years and see your $1000 becomes $10. Such an irony.  Cry
The problem with the inflation is that it couldn't really hurt the people if in parallel with the growth of inflation, the wages for the workers are growing which isn't the case because the government is far too corrupt to give workers a leeway.

If the government magically waved a wand and mandated everyone magically get a 3% raise to account for inflation, do you know what that would do to the inflation rate?  Raise it above 3%.  You artificially increase the amount of money everyone has, inflation goes up.
This also happens when governments raise the levels at which people can indebt themselves, for example in the US the government increased the loans that it could give to students to get a good education, but what happened? The loans were so big and so easily available that the costs of education has grown many times over the inflation rate, whenever you try to artificially raise the amount of money that people have at their disposal inflation happens.

Yes the same happens in real estate and with junk bonds.
100  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador plan to make BTC legal tender on: June 19, 2021, 01:10:42 AM
If you are optimistic, you can say the potential is still enormnous.

Its more like a long term domino effect but alot of potential for the country. If somehow there is a drastic change in their Economy and GDP after making bitcoin as their legal tender in around 10 years or so, then some other countries might follow their steps. Some other low income countries are most likely going to monitor this before making the same decision

I am really happy about El Salvador to move in making Bitcoin a legal tender and with their positive towards Bitcoin, I don't think it will be nice for anyone to consider their President not to be the best economist out there.

It was a bold move and on top of that, they made the decision while bitcoin is still one of most googled subject in 2021 so El Salvador got the full coverage about this news from all over the world. Genius indeed

El Savador is a very small undebted nation, let's hope it helps them.
