For me it seems that it's a natural process for the climate our planet

It is.Mainstream media don't want tell this

Mainstream media says that the temperature will go up because of human activity and that it is bad but can they really tell why it would be bad? They have no idea what will be affect (if anything) by more CO2 in the atmosphere

When the temperatures increase the polar ice starts to melt and the sea level starts to rise, this is the real affect of global warming, if you see a show called "Vice" it shows how water levels are rising increasingly and the world around is sinking.

We are still in the Ice Age so a warming up of the temperatures is natural, probably nothing we can do about it if it's due to the Sun like the Russian scientist community think and can you tell me how many cm the seal level would rise if the global temperature is raised by 2degrees? And how many people would be affected?? Raising temperatures would be good for countries like Canada who will be able to use the northern of their country and for us humans that are made for tropical temperatures

Too many Bitcoin is sitting on cold storage for my liking. He is right. More Bitcoin needs to be on the open for its survival. People needs to sell.

Bitcoin can be a medium of exchange and used to store value, it is not a problem; there is potentially an infinity of fraction of bitcoins to be exchange

624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very interesting points on Bitcoin by a great Economist on: October 03, 2014, 05:45:35 AM
most of his statements are just negative and not worth to listen it.

He has some interesting points about Bitcoin but he is almost only negative, it will be interesting to see when (if) he comes around

This is all so confusing. Lets setup a Peter Schiff vs Andreas Antonopoulos debate and settle this bitcoin thingy once and for all.

. There are lots of valid points from his side nonotheless I think peter would agree that the market will settle this

He has a lot of valid points and he says a lot of bitcoiners are very emotional about Bitcoin thus don't judge it fairly but he is very emotional about Gold and don't judge Bitcoin fairly sometimes; he underestimate everything that comes from internet like Facebook; he needs to stop saying facebook has no value!!

He just doesn't understand facebook isn't really an internet company. It is a giant marketing platform.

Schiff thinks facebook is too good to be true and it grew so fast that he thinks it is fragile but facebook is not the typical empty-just-an-idea-get-rich-website, it is more than a Billion monthly users, owning whatsapp and instagram and still have a lot of cash
He doesn't understand the business, he should study it a little bit and see they are already making a lot of money
625  Economy / Economics / Re: Solution to poverty - Socialism or Capitalism? on: October 03, 2014, 05:39:51 AM
Both private enterprise and communism are materialistic methodologies to trading and lending. Commercial concerns is a component that compensates certain parts of human conduct more than others. Putting realism at the middle of our lives does little to enhance the personal satisfaction (as far as bliss) or the wellbeing of our planet.

We are in an eco system and humans are in this eco system; we are not bad for our planet and human is important

The market is the most efficient way of finding a price and works without coercion, efficient and free markets create a lot of value and save millions
626  Other / Politics & Society / Re: An eye opening video about Climate that need to be shared with you on: October 03, 2014, 05:37:10 AM
Stefan Molyneux, enough said, not wasting my time with this...

It's not the usual Molyneux video, it's the ex-Greenpeace scientist talking for 97% of the time

It's so confusing all the different opinions on climate change. For me it seems that it's a natural process for the climate our planet. It's a very complicated system, with a huge amount of factors to influenciate. In reality man cannot understand all these factors. And when man cannot understand things they tend to create myths.

The guy in the video tells a few key points including the fact that it is a natural change, it's hard to predict the future climate since there are so variables; we can't predict with a computer which horse will win but it is harder to predict the future climate; CO2 is good for plants thus good for life and the current level is not that high, 2 more degrees won't kill us since we are a tropical specie who lived most its life near the Equator between the two Tropics
627  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: October 03, 2014, 05:32:37 AM
I was wondering if it  a good time to invest a few bucks on bitcoins
right now ? ... The bitcoin price is stable in moment

Put it this way. Has there been a better time to buy in 2014? Isn't the Bitcoin ecosystem bigger and stronger now than at the start of the year?

It is not about the price being stable it is about Bitcoin being stronger and bigger while the price is very low relatively to the average price for the last 10months
628  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Poll] Should the minimum wage be raised? on: October 03, 2014, 12:00:59 AM
Two videos from Schiff for those interested by the topic :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW_MHVTjfz8&list=UUIjuLiLHdFxYtFmWlbTGQRQ
43:42 - LA raises minimum wage for hotel workers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNZDvVaUrM4&list=UUIjuLiLHdFxYtFmWlbTGQRQ

He explains that when you raise the minimum wage the firms will have higher costs so higher prices slower business so will need less workers; they will hire better skilled workers and fire a lot of unskilled workers that are working for them because they can afford workers with more skills, they will try to use less workers for services or replace them by automation.

Watched this video and it blew my mind, it is a discussion between Stefan Molyneux that some of you already know and the previous chief of Greenpeace Patrick Moore, it is full with important facts that cannot be denied and it showed that the future cannot be predicted by a computer model because there are too many variables

You need some willpower to start the video and watch 5minutes (come on you can do it you lazy f$$) but then odds are you will be hooked and you will probably learn more about the Climate change that you already know; people talk about things they don't know nothing about, it is scary

With a market you have lower prices, competition, lots of innovation and with socialism you have coercion, higher prices and very low innovation
"With a market you have lower prices [on crap], competition [for crap], lots of [innovative crap] and with socialism you have [communism], higher prices [all crap] and very low innovation [in crap]."

You missed that since wealth is the primary concern of both systems, they both falter in pursuing the ends of wealth (think: "quality of life" [as opposed to "standard of living"]).

The market brought 1Billion of chinese out of extreme poverty, you can't disregard that and created awesome lifes for tens of millions in the States, the trend reverses as the State started growing too much a few decades ago
631  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: October 02, 2014, 09:27:31 PM
I take Bitcoin, because I can do faster exchange.

Many qualities for Bitcoin : faster exchange, smaller storage ect. But Gold has been here for thousands of years as a store a value and medium of exchange

The other thread about Gold and Bitcoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=68655.13220;topicseen is 662pages big

So what about now?
I don't know; does anyone care about mistletoe?

Don't you think that's a strange question?

Don't you think one of the fun in this thread is to ask strange questions?

Got a payment from pocketdice. Will do another week.

Got a payment as well, it is automatic and everyone who had an address registered got paid on October 1st, great campaign!

BitStar is open their campaign for OCTOBER

check here

Hero and Senior Members (limited to 22 participants)
0.1 BTC for a minimum of 50 posts per month

Full Members and Members (limited to 16 participants)
0.05 BTC for a minimum of 50 posts per month

Yeah :

Bitstars.net : (Thread)
Payment period: Monthly
Minimum posts: 50  posts
Payments: 0.10 btc for Sr. Member and above  //  0.05 btc for Members and Full member
Miscellaneous: Your signature must exclusively using our signature

0.1 for 50posts is sweet but you get more BTC with pocketdice if you are a Hero or Legendary and even more for Senior since you get 0.025/week and there is a bit more than 4weeks per month Wink

BitStars.net added, thank you guys for telling me. I have decided to keep Ponzi's and HYIP in this overview thread, because sed make some valid points and I don't want to risk my credibility, so yeah.

NastyFans' Signature campaign is for NastyFans Seat Owners only. These places are either brought or gifted (if I am not mistaken) and most people that come here don't have a seat. Not sure if I should add them because the payment is one NastyPool lottery ticket, which will get you BTC IF you win. Seeing that you get one of these per accepted P2Pool share, they are pretty worthless. What do you guys think? Add them or not?

EDIT: This is my 5000th post!

Congrats on your 5000posts; have still 885posts to go Wink

Cheap coins confirmed by Bill Gates.
Shroomi can't disagree with that.
Let's dump another 1000 coins!

Heavy manipulating while adoption is growing, the next halving is getting closer (one day at a time  Grin) and people learn about Bitcoin; the current fiat system has not showed clearly to everyone its unsustainability; when it will have the price will spike up to a few thousands Dollars at least, it will be fun

637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: September 30, 2014, 11:45:46 PM
Do you guys think that the China FUD about banning bitcoin was the gov't on purpose while hoarding cheap coins because they know that US won't be able to repay bonds and silver/gold leases? I think out of the large supply of USD they hold which is trillions of $, a small % (maybe a few billion $) is being used to buy btc secretly so that when the time comes china can simply say we will price things in bitcoin since we know that the trade between gold and USD will probably be fixed or collapse when USD defaults. Bitcoin only has a fixed supply and by buying it cheap with USD while its worth something they can effectively gain ultimate purchasing power by getting first mover advantage and have things priced in bitcoins when the day comes (as a hedge if it ever comes to that?)... would explain the large volume out of China ever since last year... as they probably learned we were close to the end of PM manipulation.

NO

The plan of China is working, the Yuan will become huge in trade exchange, they are buying a lot of Gold and they will be the first world economy very soon because they are a nation of hard workers, savers and producers; a bit like the States before but without the political freedom Wink
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very interesting points on Bitcoin by a great Economist on: September 30, 2014, 01:40:56 PM
No matter what he says, in 2020 bitcoin will be huge when miners will stop creating new coins

367500   2   25.00
420000   3   12.50 2017
472500   3   12.50
525000   3   12.50
577500   3   12.50
630000   4   6.25   2021

Still a reward of 6.25 in 2021 according to some projections but 4times lower than now so 4times less new bitcoins in average
639  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: September 30, 2014, 01:38:13 PM
MoneyPot now has pay/post and fixed pay options.
How are you going to present that in the opening post?  Grin

I hope you're not getting paid for that post. As long as the OP has a link to Money Pot's thread I think they're covered.

What? I hope you're not getting paid for that post because it's completely irrelevant and redundant. This campaign changing to be both a fixed and per post is a relevant change which has made the info in the op outdated and incorrect on several fronts.
Well, getting 0.07BTC for 100 posts per month as sr member isn't attractive at all.

0.07/month for 100posts is not that bad

But in any cases you are better off with https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=795236.0 the pocketdice signature campaign when you are a Sr Member because the pay is weekly, the maximum of posts is higher and the pay per post is higher as well
For Full Members it is the same or better to advertise pocketdice
