82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A Compact Kaspa ASIC Miner for Home Use on: May 02, 2024, 10:46:23 AM
And in the near future even more powerful industrial ASICs will appear
There is always an arms race in mining. If you look at what will come out in the future, the time will never come to buy an ASIC.
This is true, but new models for Bitcoin appear once a year, and for Litecoin once every few years, if we stick to the average estimate, but ASICs for Kaspa appear every quarter and their hashrate increases greatly. Kaspa has many forks, but you shouldn’t rely too much on this when buying an ASIC.

For Kaspa seems they coming out every month Smiley
What do you think about these ASICs?
I haven’t seen new ASICs for a not very popular coin being released so quickly for a long time.
And even on the famous website https://www.asicminervalue.com/
I haven't found a similar situation. At the same time, most of the Kaspa coins have already been mined.
Yes all depends from price action if high inflation is worth it to make enough Asics they will do it. I have theory manufacturer also also pumping the price to sell then equipment at crazy high prices where manufacturing cost is actual 1% of the miner cost its sold Sad
Then this is a conspiracy with the coin developers. ASIC sellers will spend part of their profits to buy coins and raise the price. And this will increase the payback statistics of ASICs and attract new equipment buyers. But I think that this manipulation cannot last long.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: starting alt mining soon on: May 02, 2024, 10:42:28 AM
Then why not use a proven power supply circuit like in older models?
The manufacturer can also install 4x8 pin connectors if necessary.
There is a problem, but in many countries this problem is not considered a warranty issue, and miners have to repair the graphics card at their own expense.

NVIDIA board partners expect GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 to launch in fourth quarter

Board manufacturers anticipate the launch of NVIDIA’s latest RTX 50 series graphics cards in the fourth quarter, initially focusing on high-end products like the 5090 and 5080. Analysts are optimistic that NVIDIA’s biennial major GPU upgrades will boost shipment volumes for board manufacturers this year and drive up the average selling price (ASP) of graphics card products.

https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-board-partners-expect-geforce-rtx-5090-and-rtx-5080-to-launch-in-fourth-quarter

remember folks, the market might top before, during or after (plus minus a certain time frame), because nvidia will sell those cards as miners panic buy at a premium due to profit hehehehe
If there is a profit in mining, then miners will again buy any video cards. Prices for top-end Nvidia video cards are not falling, and in many countries there is a very small selection of good 4090 models for mining. And the 5090 video card will also be in good demand, even at inflated prices.

how would you build your mining farm?
Buy 20 Goldshell AL-BOX ASICs. Your energy consumption will not exceed 3.6 Kilowatts Smiley
Model AL-BOX from Goldshell mining Blake3 algorithm with a maximum hashrate of 360Gh/s for a power consumption of 180W

But only you will need the services of an insurance company against risks and failures in this business.

87  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: ☢️ Any mining farms powered by nuclear microreactors? ☢️ on: May 01, 2024, 10:03:32 AM
I remember that the Soviet nuclear submarines that were built in the 1960s were designed to last more than 30 years without changing the fuel for the nuclear reactor.
I don't know the electricity consumption of the submarine, but mining on such a submarine is possible Smiley
Such technologies are owned by Russia,USA, China, France, Great Britain and India.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I NEED AMD GPU SHA256 miner on: May 01, 2024, 09:38:00 AM
Now you can buy an old ASIC for a couple of tens of dollars and get a second one for spare parts for free Smiley The ASIC will consume more than 1 kilowatt per hour and it will be noisy, but it will be better than 1000 video cards or more. Mining SHA256 on video cards is useless.

Both AMD Radeon RX 7000 & NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 GPUs are available below their official MSRP in Germany as the discounting spree continues.

German PC Builders Are Enjoying GPU Discounts With All AMD Radeon RX 7000 & NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Graphics Cards Available Below Their MSRP
The last few weeks have been wild in terms of prices as AMD Radeon RX 7000 GPUs are retailing below MSRP globally, and by the looks of it, things don't stop just yet. 3DCenter has tracked the pricing of AMD's GPUs across German retailers, specifically Geizhals. Interestingly, the data also includes a comparison with US markets, which shows how aggressive the drop was in the region.

90  Bitcoin / Legal / Roger Ver Charged With $50 Million Tax Evasion on: May 01, 2024, 09:29:42 AM
Authorities in Spain have arrested cryptocurrency entrepreneur Roger Ver, once known as "Bitcoin Jesus," after the U.S. Department of Justice charged him with tax evasion.

Unsealed Monday, the indictment alleges that Ver evaded paying taxes to the tune of nearly $50 million, conducted mail fraud, and filed false tax returns.

The DOJ says in its indictment that Ver allegedly lied to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) about how much Bitcoin he and his companies really owned.

According to the feds, Ver was expected to file tax returns that reported capital gains from the sale of his “worldwide assets.” These assets included Bitcoin.

Binance Founder Sentenced to 4 Months in Prison for Money Laundering Charges

Changpeng Zhao, popularly known as CZ, the visionary founder behind Binance, the world’s premier cryptocurrency exchange, found himself in the spotlight as he faced sentencing in a US federal court in Seattle. The verdict, a four-month prison term, marked a significant chapter in the tumultuous journey of one of the most influential figures in the crypto sphere.

Before the court’s ruling, CZ took the opportunity to express remorse for his actions during his tenure as CEO of Binance. In a heartfelt letter to the judge, he acknowledged the gravity of his decisions and vowed to learn from his mistakes, ensuring that such lapses in judgment would not recur.

The legal saga stemmed from a coordinated settlement between Binance and the federal government, wherein the exchange giant agreed to pay a staggering $4 billion in fines and penalties. The charges ranged from anti-money laundering violations to unlicensed money tran
smission and sanctions breaches. As part of the settlement, CZ, with a personal fortune nearing $40 billion, agreed to step down from his role as CEO and pay fines totaling $200 million.

92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XEL (Xelix) Mining at HiveOS on: May 01, 2024, 09:13:58 AM
got everything setup but keep getting an error in the xelix miner.  It says error cant connect to node.  How do I fox this? any help is apricated
Many miners complain that errors occur when connecting to other people's nodes. You need to run the node on a separate local PC, and after synchronization it will connect to the local IP address, then you will have stable operation. Now synchronization takes approximately 4 hours on an SSD drive.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Malware / trojans detected on: May 01, 2024, 09:07:56 AM
If you download miners from official developer resources, then it is quite safe if the miner is already known and has a reputation. The main problems are with new miners, which are better not to run on your computer.

I have a mining farm under remote control, and even if a virus appears there, I will format the hard drive and set it up again. But when using Hive OS in recent years, I did not need to do this.

Global Presence, Local Expertise
With three state-of-the-art crypto production-ready data centers strategically located in Norway, South Europe (Macedonia), and Paraguay, we boast a combined total capacity of a staggering 1815 MW. This expansive global footprint is complemented by our local teams, ensuring seamless operations and support for miners worldwide.

I will make the assumption that the largest Russian company Bitriver does not have such energy consumption. The company now has approximately 1400MW.

Now one of the largest companies in the USA

95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GoldShell miners look good, but are they reliable? on: May 01, 2024, 08:43:18 AM
I think that a few days are not enough to test the reliability of ASICs. I read reviews from miners and don’t see any bad reviews about these ASICs. YouTube is usually full of reviews about each ASIC, but buying ASICs for altcoins always carries risks. Otherwise, large mining companies would mine Кaspa instead of Bitcoin.

I don't understand what's going on with this coin. On Twitter there are only announcements of listing on new exchanges, when 95% are owned by one miner.
I think the exchange should stop listing.I don’t mine this coin and I’m too lazy to figure out what’s going on, but in my opinion the community is not reacting to this.
If you want to find the reason, here are links to all project resources.

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AI-DePIN mining on: April 28, 2024, 02:37:54 PM
Isnt that all depin can be mineable through network?
I mean sample Helium which is one of the depin that can be mine through hotspot that doesnt need so much power to mine so why Ai depin use Kawpow algo?
If you look at the statistics of the mining pool, you can see that the coin is mined on video cards. The Kawpow algorithm is better suited for AMD 5 and 6 series video cards because they do not heat up as much. Nvidia performs worse with this algorithm.

Then maybe there will be changes. If the coin survives:)
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 1.64: Fastest Kaspa miner in market on: April 27, 2024, 07:39:40 PM
why BTG verry low sols Lolminer VS  Gminer

6x gtx 1060   Lolminer  120 Sols  and Gminer 210 sols ??

This could be a driver issue because sometimes miners require a specific driver version for maximum performance.

Either there is an error on this site or your information is incorrect. Have you checked the hashrate on the pool?

Radiant network Radiant network is under attack by an unknown miner (FPGA/ASIC)

Because of this, the complexity of the RXD network has almost doubled, which negatively affects the profitability of GPU miners.

unknown miner - 200.35 TH/s

The unknown miner has 96% hashrate. Why is he mining on someone else's pool?
