801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] The Shadow Project | Anon POS | Ring Sigs | Decentralized MarketPlace (w) on: March 26, 2015, 04:01:55 PM
entered this coin with a substantial buy in, thanks for the opportunity

this looks fantastic:

https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcryptonote.org%2Fimg%2Fcryptonote_transaction.png&t=550&c=HW8NhELiDhfzQw

also liked refusal of merger with dark (at least for now)

beating myself I did not have enough drive to enter in January.. but that's ok

have a separate question, as I assemble all my wallets from git master (when I can)  on Mac I found QT 4 is not sufficient and QT 5.4 has some compatibility problem and throws errors

what QT exact version should be used ? thanks much !

 Cool
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VIA] ★ Viacoin ★ ~ the future of digital currency ~ ★ on: March 26, 2015, 03:55:30 PM
Bought some VIA last night, surprised it went below 4k.

same here, top level development , it is a no brainer, also swallowed "SDC" , for the same reason, top level software engineering, not cross posting just pointing to reasoning behind, I see network hash rate has increased substantially

thanks again for the opportunity for this is what it is.. on the ground level
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VIA] ★ Viacoin ★ ~ the future of digital currency ~ ★ on: March 26, 2015, 02:19:08 AM
perfect work, thank you

just got new wallet of git master , see you changed from cmake to make, it makes wallet assembly easier

maybe a a small thing but I notice stuff like that

thanks again for the opportunity
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.2 Automated Transactions on: March 26, 2015, 02:01:48 AM
Wow, you people still wasting your time and money on this shitcoin?  BURST is SO over with.  I didn't even bother to check the price chart but I'll bet the price of a BURST coin is as low now as when I left over 7 months ago.

"Warning: Trade with extreme caution!"

VIA is a protected name. I suggest you to update your signature!!!

what a nerd yo are, hold a sec assembling a wallet, it just have been upgraded, people are switching to standard make away from cmake, recent trends I have seen ,

I usually don't ask for "donations" but if any of you like me drop me a cent or two in my direction, I think of this a a token of community appreciation

stand by

done, donations not in BURST as you all should really keep BURST,  ok just as I was out they brought me back in
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.2 Automated Transactions on: March 26, 2015, 12:56:44 AM
every 1/n of BTC increase in price adds up... we had price of 135 and over 1.5 coins unloaded. completely missed it

but that's ok that's alright .. although just an observation how things add up into FIAT damage if one misses the boat

speak another time
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.2 Automated Transactions on: March 26, 2015, 12:46:45 AM
Just added my % into https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1000833.0

coin is now @

Burst   - 50 (12.7%)

truly for the innovation, see other coins there that are cutting edge , but we keep threads isolated per discussion

do vote every vote goes towards enlarging sphere to get more people involved with this tech

my drives did not stop spinning since 7 months ago, seen block reward drop 2 x , bought n coins on an exchange on low and did not yet look into atomic transactions and distributed lottery, did look into assets but on an expensive side because people collect % of mining efforts done by others for a price so it is justified

what else.. not much else, blockchain technology is being taught at Stanford, Intel and IBM are researching it as well Wall Street injected NASDQ trading software systems into some venues , this should be interesting although once Wall Street starts trading might get very difficult to compete around here

otherwise thanks for being positive  Cool
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [METAL] MetalCoin | Multipool | Online Radio Station Live - Tune In Now on: March 22, 2015, 03:38:11 AM
hey! great job of keeping coin development and community active.. phenomenal work on exchange,

keep it up

i also see radio has been activated.. excellent
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [VNL] VanillaCoin.net [WhirlpoolX Algo] [Whitepaper Inside] [Poloniex] 0.2.4 out on: March 22, 2015, 03:09:26 AM
Quite interesting; let me know how it goes.
Sure. That thing is eating all my free time and I'm going to make it pay for next vacation Smiley

VNL will be interesting in this summer, i am still buying VNL more and more.

very much so, and not hyping, you want to be very aggressive right now, blockchain technology ain't going anywhere that you have like in a "bank"

entered the coin, waited many many months till it became cheaper, as always, I never sell, thanks for the opportunity
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [VNL] VanillaCoin.net [WhirlpoolX Algo] [Whitepaper Inside] [Poloniex] Update! on: March 18, 2015, 01:20:44 AM
entered this, this is going to be very big I sense, new codebase fresh. top level C++ development skills (UI could use some work but that is second priority, person on twitter said this could be next dark, pools are already > 150 workers and farms are being deployed, good, checking exchange situation..

its a bit "funny" with the UI.. it is tiny. there are bugs with mac os (one can not encrypt wallet, that's fine I encrypted with unix no biggy) it was built by a hardcore C++ developer with focus on core algorithms... (most important)

in addition a person released optimized version of whirpoolx GPU mining software, no bounty no nothing , this is exactly right thing to do for the value and growth overall

this below I find fascinating

"The resulting hash consists of splitting 384 bits of whirlpool digest and XORing them together in a way to form 256 bits of output."

exchanges interesting.. March 8 would not be the best time to enter, good I researched it now, anyways it is one of the most advanced crypto to date that has been developed

will revisit this thread because it is not just about the money there is some deep thought going on with this

also please don't worry about beautifying UI at least not now..  Cool
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: March 18, 2015, 12:20:52 AM
GPU miner will officially be released Smiley, but only with PiMP combination Sad. For now...

please encourage development of CUDA mining software (large # of people use low on electricity bill NVIDIA cards) , there are few examples (coins) were developers locked development of these to themselves and in my eyes this impacts value of the whole enterprise in the negative, mining software should be as optimized as possible and released in the wild, if someone wants to purchase a farm time so be it, it can get expensive, expensive drives prices up while you at the same time build up infrastructure and social and community around the coin

just my three cents, otherwise awesome you are doing this , you are pushing crypto into commerce space and that is great
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: March 17, 2015, 04:21:33 PM
I could convince my prov for not being the botnet operator, so the pool remains up for now.

There are about 1000 different IP's in the Botnet which are now banned one by one, this will take some time.

Please DONT point any botnets to (any) pool - you'll make the Operator a LOT of trouble.

If you're into "hacking" - set up your own pool / wallet and mine there..
Grin not sure they really care about the pool operator after hacking 1000s of people computers

can't you just block his account ?

Did that two times already, he just creates a new one...

take his IP(s)/timestamp/headers down and report to the local anti-cybercrime authorities, they love this sort of thing, usually where there is a botnet other malware activities defrauding public are taking place as well

He's not dumb, online via TOR/Proxys.

It seems he's moving now, I see fewer requests already.. Thank god.

got ya.. not a problem.. thanks for your outstanding work in the space! yeah so that is a kind of a problem with CPU only coins but everyone knows that and I completely understand why Zifr is doing this.. enlarging customer base.. then slowly introducing to GPU.. and maybe adjust algorithm sudden fork in between to invalidate fpga's

AWS got kind of expensive on me so I mined to the point, but if one is about risk taking because zifrt could easily be several (tens even) dollars a coin it might be worth it.. anyways.. off to scan rest of the landscape as per usual..
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: March 17, 2015, 04:13:22 PM
otherwise coin is fascinating.. (conceptually speaking) tied to online retail and you know what just happened in online retail
one word: Rakuten

I just received a takedown notice from my provider, as a user pointed a large cpu-botnet and the ziftr pool.

Please withdraw your funds IMMEDIATELY as I have to shutdown the server in a few minutes because of this until I can explain to them what is actually happening.

@ziftrCOIN , it would be a good time to release GPU miner to the public domain

818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.2 Automated Transactions on: March 14, 2015, 03:59:34 PM
The address is numeric 20 digits long, so there are max. 99,999,999,999,999,999,999 different burst addresses. Brutforce would be therfore possible.
While you "fill up your database" you can always frequently check if an account of the richlist is in the database, whereby you can simplify it to only accounts who have more than 300 Bursts, or so.
You do not need to find ALL accounts to empty one account.

The numeric address is 64 bits long, your "99,999,999..." is quite a bit off.

And have a look at how a "Public Key" is assigned to an account. Its not just protected by these 64 bits!

Is there a burst address with more than 20 digits numeric?
Does any password (even with one single character) always result in the same burst address?
If so, then there is a simple relationship: password -> burst address = access !!!
However, burst address -> password  has multiple possibilities.

Therefore I think it is possible to access one burst wallet with two (or more) different passwords !!!!!

it is incredible to me you have private phone numbers (seems both land line and mobile) in your signature... no worries I won't call but if you are security oriented.. juuust saying

Is that really your answer to that?
Do you have any question how the relationship between password to burst address is?

weeeeeell no you are right.. let's not drift from the subject.. I have not looked into source code to see exact algorithm.. however I know BURST is derivative of NXT and NXT market cap is $ 13,201,962  , that's a lot of money , there is also rich list and same attack vectors , all safe and appears NXT investors feel safe as well..

Still not the answer!
But first, do you know that VIA is a protected name? Now you know!

Do me a favour. Try to type in a single digit / character as password into your wallet. Does it result into a burst address? Yes/No?
Have you seen a Burst address in numeric format more than 20 digits? Yes/No?
Now you have tried 10 numbers, 26 characters, maybe even some special characters and still you got always a different burst address. Yes/No?

Put all together:
If there are only 20 numerical digits for an burst address, than there must be a possibility of more than one password to result to that address.
The public key is only necessary to get the first payment, which the original owner has needed to get his first payment. After that you do not need it anymore to operate on your wallet.

can you do me a favor and post the same question in nxt forum, given there are people there with > 100,000$ accounts and they use same system of generation of passphrases, I am sure they will jump on your question asap, trust me, you will cause quite panic (or not) be brave do it!

and of course we have exchanges.. do you think that management of bittrex or cryptsy would sit idle, on any sign of security weakness.. (they represent top level addresses) on cryptsy it is something like a half a million dollars

I don't have energy to dive into codebase.. but yield other gentlemen whiteboard to elucidate this part of BURST workflow
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.2 Automated Transactions on: March 14, 2015, 03:46:39 PM
I am actually glad BURST is based on NXT.. for reason of proven security, of course BURST is already very different from NXT.. such as Automated Transactions to which it even beat Ethereum itself..on the timeline

people starting to ask questions such as security and/or double spending ... its time for me to look at the exchanges to see if I can scoop more .. last time it was < 170 sat... but low supply.. maybe someone will unload 2 million at 130 .. let's see....

not yet..

this is a nice chunk on bittrex, someone is recycling free storage again, free thats like 130$ if he can pull this off till block rewards drop some more, he/she better hurry up

0.00000162  268711.12203307    0.4353   1.0300

130$ even weekly won't retire him/her in Bahamas.. in 1920 maybe
