Oh dear, I hope Phin's account doesn't get jacked, we might have to endure off topic spam with images and goats and...oh wait  Grin.

lol, phinn which browser you are using?
It looks fine in firefox.

Chrome.

I haven't had an issue since ~48 hours after I first reported it. There were never any other problems accessing other sites. Brake line just rusted (rear line over dif.). Cable guys work Sundays. Internet ran out of images of goats. Sorry, BadBear. Back to stealing barn wood this evening, Josh.

Here's a project you brainics can work on in your spare time. I'm not versed enough in the subject, but would love to offer up inputs as the process continues.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms

An alpaca as one of the animals is probably a given.

The letters SN may be considered.

The numbers 0 and 1 may be considered.

Incorporating other cryptography symbols may also be warranted.

Let's have a go and see what develops.

Hello Rassah (and everyone else on this forum!),

My name is Cary Kelly, and I am the outreach campaign manager for ASI Conserva Chile. ASI Conserva Chile is the only association of conservation initiatives in private and indigenous land reserves in Chile, and one of few such organizations in Latin America. Recently, we launched an Indiegogo campaign to sponsor scholarships for indigenous leaders to attend our biodiversity conservation congress this summer. Indigenous communities in many Latin American nations struggle to gather the financial or technical resources to participate in growing conservation initiatives, and we want to change that by bringing key indigenous leaders into the dialogue.

As you can probably assume by my simple presence on this forum, we have decided to open up our campaign to bitcoin donations. Indiegogo does not formally integrate bitcoins into their campaign platform, but we're independently accepting bitcoins which we will then re-donate into the campaign fund, acknowledging the donor and their preferred bitcoin donation method.

We would be honored to be recipients of a Bitcoin 100 donation of any amount, and we have plans for future bitcoin incorporation soon! Though our small, mostly volunteer team in hectically busy in anticipation of our conference in Congress, we're currently discussing how and when to integrate donations into our own organization (www.asiconservachile.org). Bitcoin awareness is fairly nonexistent here in Chile, but people are slowly catching on.

Here you can learn more about our campaign:
http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/indigenous-leader-scholarships-latin-american-conservation-congress/x/1273897

And here is our address where we're accepting donations for the campaign: 1H8Sdng8dQwk7CmT7frs6GGLmfzs2gFwXH

If donating, we would still like to recognize you on our platform and offer you the listed perks, so please shoot me an email at cary @ asiconservachile.org

Please let me know your comments and questions!

Best Wishes,

Cary Kelly
ASI Conserva Chile

It may be difficult to honor exactly what you request, but your site http://www.asiconservachile.org/ sure does qualifyfor funding from Bitcoin 100.

All that needs to be done on your part is to embed a Bitcoin donation option onto the site, and you're good to go.

BTC $66, seems everyone is dumping? Anyone has an idea about why? I don't understand, people are not trusting bitcoin anymore? or it's because people are rushing for the BFL boxes?

Nope, hold and/or buy..

Good idea! But BFL bitcoin miners. Plug the current exchange rate into an ROI calculator and see how profitable them babies are now.

Haha, in my own country (Latvia) there's news (10 minutes ago) about 31 year old woman who made 2 messages on her facebook, about how she's "gonna make massacre similar to Breivik's in Norway". She's been taken in police custody now. So shit's sure is spreading. We have some laws against internet bullying and against motivating racial hate (which is still against freedom of speech, imho) but this one is taking us to the next tier.

UPDATE/EDIT: She left total of 2 messages. One "gonna make massacre similar to Breivik's in Norway" and other "gonna make massacre similar to recent USA massacre". Twice the fun there!

Stay tuned, folks!

---------------------

Local kindergarten kid drew Mohammad, faces 5 years in jail with 20.000 bail! Neighbor posted a video in his facebook account featuring his dog dressed up as one of Tsarnaev brothers, and violently barking, SWAT is on it's way as we speak!

BREAKING NEWS!  Sally Goldstein, the 14 year old facebook user has left a comment saying that she "hates her classmates, and hopes they die slow death tomorrow, along with the principal". There's emergency meeting going on at LAPD headquarters, there's rumors about possible military involvement!

Back to you Tom!

If I were to make a comment about blowing shit up outta the blue, I should be arrested. But if I'm commenting on somebody calling me a nut case on the internet, stating such with an LOL, then I should be questioned by the authorities, perhaps given a court date, and if found guilty, punished and fined with a little tic next to my name.

Locking me up naked in a padded cell for months on end because some woman can get her pussy wet the normal way alarms the authorities is too way outta whack for my taste.
8033  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin 100: Developed Specifically for Non-Profits on: July 05, 2013, 02:08:29 AM
Yes, some of the objections were through email directly to me, and the rest from this forum. I have a way to resolve this issue though. Those donors who did not want to donate, I will cover their donation myself. It's only about 1.5 btc at this point anyway. If there are no issues with this, I'll add my 1.5 btc (you'll see it in the BTC100 address history), and send the money out Monday.

Spice seems like a great charitable organization, and I believe this is the first time an entity already accepting bitcoins has made a formal request of Bitcoin 100 for additional funds.

That said, why don't we just make a one time exception and send them the $1,000 USD from the general pool? My thinking is that nobody will probably object since probably most of the their donations have already been allocated to other NPOs, leaving only the remaining donators who've donated larger amounts, namely Roger and Zhou (among perhaps a small handful of others).

I'm sure we (read bitcoiners) will gain mileage from such an act. Though your pocketbook is probably fine, I rather not see you dole out too much from your account seeing that you've been doing such a wonderful service acting as the trusty of Bitcoin 100 gratis.

If anybody has any objections, please state your case. Nobody here will bite your head off.

You can donate with bitcoins, just not directly: http://blog.bitpay.com/2012/11/donate-to-wikipedia-with-bitcoin.html

I consider this the next best thing. Ideally, I, perhaps others, would love to see a dedicated Bitcoin address, possibly a vanity one, specifically used for this purpose.

I do not mean this to be set up as such as some sort of nefarious check, but a way for bitcoiners to easily point out to others another case study.

I have the utmost respect for Team BitPay.

Then why didn't you come forward with all this information before?  It took a long time and alot of snopping from the forum members for it to come out.  Thats not exactly being upfront.

I will tell you why we didn't "come forward with all this information before" when you can tell me why you think it's relevant?  Please explain how the past affects the products you've already received (because you have received products right?  I mean, you're not here just complaining and you aren't even a customer, correct?) and how it will affect the products in the future.  If you can explain that, then I will explain why the information wasn't disclosed before.  Otherwise, it has absolutely no bearing on whether or not BFL has produced and shipped products in the past or in the future, does it?

Quote
So, as a consumer, and a customer of BFL I would like to know:
1. Are you really a C Corporation?
2. If you are a C Corp, which state do you file in?
3. Are you annual reports public, like most C Corps?

With these questions, I can find out pretty much all I need to know as a consumer about your company using the public resources.  This is what good and valid companies do.

Our corporation, as has been said countless times before, is currently registered in Wyoming.  All the information is there, has been there, and will likely continue to be there.

EDIT: Also, feel free to go back and view my past posts.  I have usually defended BFL on all fronts, but in light of all this new information coming out, I have really re-thought my opinions.  When you were made COO of BFL, you should represent the company.  Going on tyraids is not befitting of a million dollar revenue generating company.  Not only does it look bad on you, it looks horrible on the company for choosing you as their COO.

So in light of this "new information coming out" how does it make your BFL Singles or Minirigs fail to perform?  I'm just curious.  I assume you mean tirade, not "tyraid" - but what tirade are you referring to?   I don't see any tirades, and I'm certainly not speaking as BFL at the moment.

@davidspitzer

You are exactly right.  It matters what we are doing now and in the future.  We have delivered in the past and we will deliver in the future.  I have been open and up front with delivery time and dates as I know them currently.  We are still on target for Late October, early November.  Given the production times, I would venture to say it will be closer to the latter on actual shipping dates for the units, since we want to ship them out en mass as opposed to ones and twos.  Since this is a new product, with all new components, we are having to change our production facilities to accommodate it.  Contrary to Franky's fabrications, we do not, have not and are not rebranding anyone elses boards and selling them.  It's all created by us, for us specifically.  It's interesting he makes those accusations but is completely unable to supply the original source of these supposedly rebranded boards.  I wonder why that is?

Anyway, we haven't run into any major show stoppers as of yet, so things are good.

Note the majority of the next to last paragraph.

Also note that according to BFL, there was nothing but major show stoppers causing the massive delay.

Shortly after this post, BFL incorporated in Kansas, then Missouri.

I need to right a privacy policy and I need something to base it on, I had the idea of just copying a similar companies privacy policy and then editing it with our name and changing a few clauses. Is that legal? How much would I have to change for it to be legal if it is illegal?

Thanks.

I suggest finding no less than three such policy gleaned from the internet, plugging in your name of choice for starters. Then eliminate all that doesn't apply. Then hunt down others when needing text to add to your policy that's related to your enterprise.
8040  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Downgraded my shipping?! on: July 04, 2013, 06:56:15 PM
For what it's worth, I ordered my Jalapeno back in September last year. Kept on going to their site to check its status and kept toying with the idea of paying for express shipping. Thankfully, I didn't. You see, my Jalap shipped last Friday and arrived at my office on Monday in a nice little USPS box. That's just Kansas to Florida, but still... it got here on day 3, and two of those days were weekend days.

My advice to anyone, don't bother ponying up for Express Shipping; you'll pay a fortune, and what, you MIGHT get it a day earlier?

Really?? 1 buisness day ?? My 30GH unit shipped last friday & got here in Fla same as yours,on the following monday......................So they DID screw me on shipping............................I'll NEVER learn  Roll Eyes

Original shipping charge $34,Express shipping extra $95= $ 129.Never again BFL......................NEVER AGAIN!!!!!  Angry
