The alien craft weighed about 300 lbs.

My guess is that he's a retired trucker who listened to Coast to Coast one too many times.

Again, no way did he have a CIA card with a magnetic strip during the Eisenhower administration: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_strip

Oh my fucking god... He's not going to stop untill he can't continue, someone needs to toss his ass in prison!

WTF is webspawner, and what does it have to do with anything?

Quote from: Sonny Vleisides

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=110868.msg1207670#msg1207670

Hello, my name is Sonny Vleisides.  I've been involved in technology and libertarian focused ventures for most of my adult life.  I believe very strongly in freedom, honesty and personal responsibility.

I decided to drop university studies at UMKC back in 1991.  My mother wasn't very happy about it, but with youthful ambition and no sense, I set out to travel the world instead.  I've lived in Russia, Indonesia, Latin America, Europe etc...  Mostly seeking opportunity while trying to learn what I could.  Along the way, libertarian ideals became more interesting than any other and looking back, it's clear that's the attraction that's pulled me through life from one focus to the next.  The internet was an exciting development.

I started webspawner.com in 1995. It was my focus for many years.  Do a search for 'free webpages' on google.  I'm currently president of that company, not BFL.

...

Everything was fine until one day I was picked up while traveling in Florence.  It was a sealed indictment, so I had no idea what was going on.  I spent the next two years fighting extradition.  The case went all the way to the Italian Supreme Court.  In the end, I was extradited after the US was made to drop half of the charges. That's all they could do for me, but they really helped.  I'll always be thankful to Italy for that.

In the US, I was preparing for my case.  It had been a long slog. My finances had dwindled to zero, leaving me with a free court appointed lawyer from the legal pool.  He showed me that the US federal system had a 97% conviction rate...  higher than the Russian courts under Stalin.  He calmly informed me that I was facing full life without possibility of parole as a first time white collar defendant.

Yes..  really.  This is no joke.  It's called the federal sentencing guidelines implemented in 1984.  It's the point system that determines the sentence, not the judge.  My points totaled 43.  Life in prison.  Look it up and prepare to be amazed.

After two and a half years preparing, we neared trial.  The prosecutor calls for a meeting and offers me a deal.  I can go home if I accept a single count of mail fraud and skip the trial.

They would drop 23 charges and leave me with a simple postal violation (lesser count of mail fraud).  I thought about it and it didn't take long for me to agree to get the shackles off.  I signed and went home to my Mother's house in Kansas City.  I sat there looking at the wall for a long time.

I didn't feel like leaving the house much.  It was difficult to get over the emotional loss.  My life was ruined.  Mom got me an account on match.com and encouraged me to date.  I met a wonderful girl and we had a little boy.  We named him Indy.

My life continued and I started to look for a new project to begin again.  A fresh start.  I'm on a good track now, trying to put the past behind me.

Somewhere along the way, I got involved with the BFL project.  (No one from the indictment is involved in this company, in fact two of them have since died including my father.)

With regards to BFL, I'm proud to have played a role in it's start up and focus on the current products, but I am not a majority owner.

The company has 22 employees who are all dedicated and focused on delivering a truly amazing best in class product.

Sonny owns and runs Butterfly Labs. "And tries very hard not to put his name on things."

Search Warrant Evidence

26. On July 6, 2006, several search warrants were executed at addresses in California, Georgia, and Missouri. The searches yielded the following evidence, as well as other information:

i. A word processing document stating: This is a fraud that has been going on for many years. Millions of dollars have been stolen from people that cannot afford it. The mailings originate from Little Rock, AR-cancelled at 722. The mail then goes to . . . Amsterdam in the Netherlands. From there it is sent by DHL to . . . Costa Rica. Atlas Informaticos to be held for pick up at the DHL office... The master mind behind this scam is James Ray Houston apx. 60 years old. He gained fame in 1974 when he ran for Governor in Nevada. His accomplice is Sonny Vleisides apx. 30 years old. Both from Kansas City originally .... However, these guys are very slick and try very hard not put their names on anything.

And who do you think now has Webspawner in their name? Here's a clue: Jeff Ownby.

And I'm the one being accused of being a thief by BFL's COO, Josh Zerlan.

Please stay on topic, i.e. post only questions to be asked, this thread clearly isn't supposed to end up in a continuation of that recent flamewar.

What do you expect when the old thread gets locked?

Here is a thread on the subject for chit chat Smiley. Bring any questions back if you want them answered, i'm not sure if BFL_Sonny will post in all threads.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=110805.0

We are sure now, aren't we?

The most simplest question was question #1 in post #3 of this thread: Who is Sonny K.? What was the reply?

7184  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I deserve the scammer tag if all those who reply to thread are not paid back. on: August 21, 2013, 06:48:45 PM
Hey, Phin -- you know what the Hell I'm looking at? (It's in Sheridan)

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Sandwich,+IL&ll=41.516724,-88.683765&spn=0.01356,0.019484&hnear=Sandwich,+DeKalb,+Illinois&gl=us&t=h&z=16

(I was trying to see how far it'd be to drive out and collect)

It's right down the road. I have a friend serving time there, sentence for stealing, moreover, possession of stolen property. Don't worry, he commented the crime before I ever met it. He got to serve his sentence there because he claimed to be hooked on drugs, otherwise he would have had to serve his sentence in a lot less undesirable house.

As one can see in this thread, I'm a helluva lot more transparent than BFL. Fuck, we can't even get Josh Zerlan to state who was Sonny K. that he claimed to have met at BF Labs Inc. prior to his employment. Yet, I'm the one he so kindly pens about on his Trust thingie. Notice that I have yet to pen a negative thing about anybody on my Trust thingie. Ergo, one of us is fucked in the head, and it ain't the one penning this sentence.

The best estimate to date, for the past four days, BFL added just under six million dollars to their coffer sans ANY formal announcement. But heck, they earned it, for shopping a GPU blade is hard. They almost didn't meet the Saturday morning deadline. Luckily, Nasser, the Persian in France, stayed up late and answered all he wanted to answer, avoiding the important questions, in perfect English.
Who is Nasser? What's this all about? And where did you hear this?

Please don't take my reply as dissing you, but... Seriously, if you don't know who Nasser is or have the knowhow to Google [Nasser Bitcoin], you are in a load of shit if you are a BFL customer or are planning on becoming one without doing one iota of due diligence. Do you even know who Sonny Vleisides is?

22 June 2013 - ASIC Update

I haven't updated in awhile because I thought the shipping was self explanatory, but people seem to be clamoring for an update, so here we are.

We have been working our way through the backlog of orders over the past month. Production is slowly ramping up and we are easily able to manufacture 200 units a day currently - there will be no problem hitting 400 units a day once things are in full production. Right now, we are stymied by the inflow of chips. However, the inflow rate of chips is increasing and we expect it to be quite high within the next week or two. It's been a long road to smoothing out these bottlenecks here and there.

Lots of Jalapeno's have been sent out the door, as well as some singles and minirigs. Production on the longoard lines are really going to start to ramp up next week and the following weeks.

We have been refining the firmware for both the short board but mostly for the longboard. One of the primary changes has been to switch from a one job per board method to a one job per chip method. This has fixed a lot of the latency issues we were experiencing with the early firmware and what held up production on some of the 60 GH/s units. We have not yet finished the XLINK portion of the firmware to be operating at 100% yet, so the first few minirigs that are going out the door are shipping as individual USB devices (8 per box) instead of 1 big USB device. Going forward, once the XLINK stuff is finalized, minirigs will be shipped out as XLINK equipped.

We will continue to refine the firmware as we go along. With the current firmware, we are seeing between 260w to 280w per 60 GH/s unit, or 4.3w - 4.6w per GH at the wall on 120v. Actual chip wattage is just under 3w per GH.

In other news, we have released all the documentation necessary for people to begin creating their own boards to house our chips and we have begun selling our chips in bulk. The first deliveries of our chips are expected in roughly 100 days from the time of order. We still expect the current back order backlog to be cleared by the middle of September or so, although given what we can likely achieve with our production rate, I suspect it may be sooner than that. No guarantees on that either way, though.

Excellent news! That leaves October and November to set up the news lines up for the Monarch run.

Buffalo Labs is the greatest!

7189  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: August 21, 2013, 05:27:03 PM

My gut is telling me that the fact they are only doing bank wires (or bitcoin), with zero consumer protection for this round, is going to be the final nail in their coffin. Pissing off Paypal is one thing, but pissing off the banks that wire you money because of customer complaints down the road is another matter entirely. It's liable to officially draw more heat from various alphabet agencies, and finally ring the death knell for our favorite ASIC manufacturer.

Sonny, BoA on line one.
Josh, Well's Fargo on line two.
Sonny, Citibank is still on line three.
Chase is on line four, five and six.
Josh, Poodles-r-Us is on line seven.
Josh here. Pink and orange for the read, blue in the middle, and a green and yellow head. Cost is not a problem.
KCTV is still in the lobby, Sonny.
Josh, a customer on the shoutbox is asking...

7190  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: August 21, 2013, 05:18:59 PM
Paypal has terminated BFL's account, so it's just going to get harder and harder to obtain a refund.
Source?
I wasn't aware of this. When did this happen?
Me. I got them shut down. I called Paypal about this and the woman on the other end got really angry at the story and told me she was going to close them down. And to quote her, "when we close people down, we block everything - they can't sign up again". The first step is an account freeze.

"I don't want to sound like a queer or nothin', but I'd kinda like to make love to you tonight."

I, too, don't want to sound like a..., but can us three set a time for the ménage à trois?  Grin
7191  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BFL was a SCAM from the beginning -EXT HDD case being sold as a miner in 2011. on: August 21, 2013, 05:07:42 PM

I was a Scam from the beginning, and smart one for Josh.

So, dumb-ass, are all those people mining with Jalapenos/Little Singles/whatever lying?  Is the network hash rate going up because of these non-existent scam miners?

So what if it took longer than expected?  They're shipping now, and people are getting their products and mining with them.  Yes, they've been less than transparent, but is there any wonder?  The amount of bickering, complaining, trolling and lies being directed to BFL is shocking.

The amount of email they must get from whiners who email every hour on the hour because they've had to wait, who then complain because they don't get a reply for 2 weeks.  Here's an idea, brainiacs, don't email every nanosecond, then they won't have 40,000 emails an hour to wade through.

There are 2 type of Scams.

First being a Go in Quick:
You go  in  and clean up in a few months and disappear (Usually after a few complaints or chargebacks.)

Second being a Show and Tell:
You go in hard. Once you get a cash flow develop afew units around 10-15% of all the order you have
(this is done by buying units from other suppliers and adding your brand to it).
Spreed those units as much as you can.
Send some unites to review sites/testers/known people
    Do marketing

*Then buyer's will come to you thinking your a trustworthy company and don't mine giving you $500-$25,000 and be waiting for a half to a year before getting a product.

    * Keep doing the process Over and Over until it get kill.

Need Proof?
BFL just "release" a new product line the "The Monarch".

How can a company release a new product line when is still has backlog of 70%-85% of all previous orders?

More Proof?
They stop accepting PayPal as a payment method, the only option is  Bitcoin and Bank Transfer's now.

Don't be naïve...

Further Proof!

Sonny Vleisides used the same exact approach to scam Laissez Faire City investors, the elderly with his lottery scheme, and his sportsbook schemes.

Luckily, Sonny's trying to be on a good track now.

Is that how you treat people in real life when you encounter them for the first time?

So, dump ass, notice that the sidewalk is wide enough for both of us?

So, dump ass, noticed you just left church. Did you talk to God today?

So, dump ass, noticed you talking to them guys that are not your color. Learn any new words while in their court?

With the exception of Josh (maybe Zhou), I've yet to resort to jumping into a thread to solely name call, then leave. Half the shit I say about Josh is just banter, while the other half I mean, leaving it up to the reading to figure out which half applies.

Code:
Further to the “all sales are final” position, Butterfly Labs is no longer accepting PayPal as a method of payment;
instead, only taking bitcoin or bank transfers as payment. Both of these are irreversible payment methods.

RUN AWAY... do not buy from them... Danger Will Robinson DANGER!

That might be, but it is still a pointless topic along with the 500 other "we hate BFL" topics.

The only thing you get out of it is ppl leaving the forums and ignoring everything posted.

Please speak for everyone more.

I love how noobs like you try to generalize everyone to doing one specific thing. Put us on ignore if you can't handle it lol

I love how your profile was created on April 20th, 2013 and you presume to know how people will react to our threads lol. BFL SHILL? I think so... lol

I'm going to bed. I thought this was a new thread.

Well you have been here awhile.  I'm sure the account would fetch a few quarters but.  There can really be only one.  The account would be useless.

I agree with this post.

However, I think if you sold it without telling anyone you could make quite a lot, as long as you're ok with enabling scams.

If I were to sell it, I would abide by any terms. Basically, it may be worth about four Monarchs for some entity.

I can read it now. Josh claiming that I dissed BFL so that I can profit via selling my account to shut me up albeit, in hindsight, that's not off the table.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=PSRRy6a1vcQ

Viewed! Two observations: Teleprompter in his glasses and the use of magnetic strip CIA cards in the late 50's. I'm thinkin' maybe mid 70's before they were invented. Can you imagine the size of the computer used to just be able to open one door, let alone many with all them card-carrying CIA agents?
