Out of curiosity, did anyone ever correct you on your 'en mass' statement?

Yes, several people pointed it out when I posted it.

stfu and refund me BBB 9660523

No.  Put on your big boy pants first and accept responsibility for your actions, then we'll talk.

Color me confused!

Absolutely I want to take that position.  That accusation is pretty serious, please provide a link where I strategically deleted any information I've posted as either Inaba or BFL_Josh.  Once again, people are acting like it's a secret that I have two accounts; It's not.  In my capacity as a representative of BFL, I post as BFL_Josh, for other things, I post as Inaba.

I bring this up, though I know it's pointless:

Can someone point out where I continually said we would definitely ship in two weeks over and over?  I'd like to see evidence of this.  I know the "two weeks" mantra is the rallying cry, but once again, reality and the beliefs of the anti-BFL trolls are two entirely different things.  No sense in arguing about it, as it's immaterial, but I thought I'd just throw that fuel on to the fire... but yeah, another lie from Viceroy et al.  They are just parrots repeating what they heard, as personal research, truth and honesty are something they know very little about.

On another note, I love how anyone who is not critical of BFL is automatically me posting as a sock puppet.  It's totally awesome.  Much like poor Bryan Micon the scam artists "BFL has downvoting bots on reddit!" whine, do you idiots honestly think I care about your pathetic ramblings enough to spend more than a few minutes a day reading and responding to the blatant stupidity, willful ignorance and outright lies that you perpetrate on a daily basis?  The sheer volume of your stupidity would overwhelm ten of me, much less a single me, which is why I stopped caring about you idiots a long time ago.  I do enjoy watching your mindless ramblings, though.  It's a fair bit of entertainment... especially when you get the echo chamber of K9, PL, PG, Bick and Viceroy going in full swing and you are all just responding to each other over and over.  I think the best so far was just over a full page of you nutbags going at it without a single other person chiming in.  I'd love to get you all in the same room and see what happens, it would be like watching a bowl full of retarded kittens try to figure out what yarn is for.  Except the collective intelligence of the kittens would be about sixty points higher.

You are exactly right.  It matters what we are doing now and in the future.  We have delivered in the past and we will deliver in the future.  I have been open and up front with delivery time and dates as I know them currently.  We are still on target for Late October, early November.  Given the production times, I would venture to say it will be closer to the latter on actual shipping dates for the units, since we want to ship them out en mass as opposed to ones and twos.  Since this is a new product, with all new components, we are having to change our production facilities to accommodate it.  Contrary to Franky's fabrications, we do not, have not and are not rebranding anyone elses boards and selling them.  It's all created by us, for us specifically.  It's interesting he makes those accusations but is completely unable to supply the original source of these supposedly rebranded boards.  I wonder why that is?

Week of February 10th
We implement the 1/3 shipping plan en mass
1/3 of our assembled units will go to new orders in FIFO
1/3 of our assembled units will go to upgrade orders
1/3 will be randomly selected from both groups

We descend upon the Post Office, DHL, UPS and FedEx like a horde of angry locust

And, a bonus quote from the same page:

Quote
I am often asked the question "If I order now, when do you expect my order to ship." This is a hard question to answer, since we don't know exactly how long it takes to assemble a unit. However, the best estimate we have for this is that if you order today, 13 January 2013, you would likely receive your order around the middle of March or possibly sooner if you're ordering a Jalapeno or a Single. Minirigs take much more time to build than the other product lines, so they will take longer to deliver. However, without actually going through a bulk assembly process, we aren't sure what the major bottle necks will be. We can do estimates and we have strived for simplicity in everything related to the SC line. To that end, it requires 4 screws per Jalapeno and 6 screws per Single. Assembly of these units should take less than 5 minutes (probably around 3 minutes) per unit, so working through our pre-order backlog should be very quick. It will take more time to box and label them than it will to assemble them. The March ship date is a worst case scenario and it's entirely possible you would get your unit much sooner than that.

lol.  Just a second ago you told me there is a difference between the words fraud and lie.  Now you can't give me a simple two word term that is French in origin and means to ship "in a mass; as a group", is that correct?
I am not french, your definition sparks nothing in my memory.  How can I know shomething if I cannot remember having heard it?  Does IQ = Omnipotence?
Its a puzzle, it requires little thought. (Thats where the IQ part comes in.)

Someone with a high IQ and having attended MIT should have been able to operate "the googles on the interwebs".
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=en+masse
it always amazes me the number of people who equate IQ with Knowledge.  A walking dictionary I am not.  While I could have looked it up, that wasn't part of the exercise.  I was asked for knowledge.  I did not have that as ready knowledge.

Your purile tauntings show your lack of knowledge on this subject.
In other words, you have never heard of the term 'en masse' in your lifetime.

I figured it out in the first few seconds but then thought he might be looking for an english term (which honestly stumped me).

As soon as he defined it as french...that pretty much made it point blank obvious. It was a puzzle.

I, too, guessed 'en masse', but seriously thought it was a trick question with a different answer, thus doubting my guess.
7047  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Time to sue ButterflyLabs - Big Single-SC owner let's league for class action on: August 25, 2013, 08:42:53 PM
By all means, keep casting about, trying to find something to blame on BFL.  Now that we are shipping en mass, the level of crazy has gone through the roof of the likes of Phin.  They are so desperate to find something so they don't look like complete idiots for crying about how it's a scam and BFL is going to run away with your money, waaa waaa waa!

I find it very amusing to watch pathetic attempts like yours, Augusto.  "Bruno base his opinion on very factual and straightfoward evidence."  Laughable... not a single thing that flows from Bruno's fingers has integrity, honesty or facts... it's.  He's almost as delusional as poor old Puerto Libre.

The correct answer is, and ANY MIT student knows this....

EN MASSE!

You are so stupid.

I just Googled 'en mass' in images, and here's one of the results:

Can you tell me how to tune a hetrodyne receiver?  Can you tell me why a inductive capacatance circuit is bad?  Do you know what hysteresis loss is?

The first question, yes. The other two, no. (unless I Google it, then all three is yes)

A fraud is an intentionally false representation made with the intent to mislead the listener, and that the listener relied on "to her detriment."

The first part means that fraud must involve an intentional lie.

Try again fanboi, and stop with the red herrings already.

When is the Jalapeno getting FCC approval?

Maybe two weeks? We are waiting for the test lab to issue the test report.

With the bump in power requirements on the MR and the new screen, we had to make changes, although the new screen is already certified.  We are doing all the devices at once, since they all share the same board.

IF BFL had delivered in January as I had thought,I/we would have made out like 1st batch Avalons did, almost

This is why you don't understand how bitcoin works and why your arguments are laughable.  Do you seriously believe you would be the only person receiving a unit?  Because that is the only scenario where this statement would be true, otherwise, it's just plain false.

Have your miners received FCC approval yet?

The first part means that fraud must involve an intentional lie. If you truly believe you're telling the truth and end up being wrong, that doesn't qualify.

You are confusing your lies.

No confusion in this regard!

If your intention was to troll then I suppose you were pretty successful, nice job I guess.

With your high ASVAB I assumed they'd have likely assigned you to higher clearance aircraft, there was a guy in basic that was going to do mechanical work on one of the stealth planes and he had a high ASVAB score though maybe there is no correlation.  While some 1N2s do fly with the aircraft most copy mission on the ground far away.
I did know by putting it out there that people would jump all over it, so, yea, kinda to troll.

[off-topic]When I first went to the recruiter, he handed me a test to take and I did.  When he reveiwed my answers, he pulled out a second test and asked me to take it.  Then he gave me a third test.  Then he starting telling me about the Navy's nuclear technician jobs and how they had a $20k signing bonus and all the usual pap they spread.  It sounded challenging so I agreed and he started the paperwork.  After taking the ASVAB and another test, I was taken to see a commander who told me I had done quite well, but, there was a problem.  I had listed having 3 speeding tickets within the last 2 years on my paperwork and I was considered a secruity risk and unable to go into the program.  I then chose to be an Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Technician as they had the fewest number of people in thier field.  Since the P-3 is(well was) an ASW platform, that is where I ended up.  When they combined the ratings I became a simple Aviation Electronics technician.[/offtopic]

I took the same test and aced it. There was an extensive background check since my dad was from Lithuanian (this was in 1978), and I was informed that subs and planes would probably out outta the question due to my height, leaving only entelligense.  Wink

I don't typically vote, and I won't be voting in this election, but if I was voting I would vote for Rassah!

There you go Rassah.  You're doing well in the non-voter segment.

The BEST segment!

I can post any claim I want, come up with any random link to support that claim, and be sure that about 80% of the people reading my post will assume I'm telling the truth ...

No, I doubt you could claim that as a male you gave birth and post a random link and be sure 80% of the people reading would assume you're telling the truth.

Actually, there are still a few people who are unsure as to my gender (probably because I mention having a husband), so I wouldn't be surprised if some did believe me. It would make for an interesting experiment though.

I, for one, made that same mistake back during the Pinkie Pie episode. To this day, I still have to catch myself in making sure I didn't/don't use the she pronoun when replying to or referencing Rassah.

That said, I consider Rassah one of the most trusted members of the Bitcoin community and love to see him part of The Bitcoin Foundation in any capacity.

From a marketing standpoint, I've been having a very difficult time redefining the 100 aspect of Bitcoin 100. At the onset, it made perfect sense, but no longer.

Can we brainstorm to the nth degree to come up with what the 100 could mean so that years down the road it wouldn't once again lose its meaning?

I've just been telling people that it's 100 people/members pledging to donate a combines $1,000. It's not 100 people any more, though...

Actually, the 100 was more in reference to the donating 100BTC aspect regardless if there were 42 or 314 members.

Somebody in the Newbie section asking about the Bitcoin100 to help the charity they are setting up.

Quoting here:

Hi

I've been helping a friend set up a new website to help victims of domestic violence to talk about their stories anonymously. A lot of victims are isolated, afraid to talk about the abuse and violence for fear of being blamed, that their children will be taken away, that they may not be taken seriously, or many many other reasons. This site aims to help people share stories and build a supportive community and improve understanding for professionals of the issues that victims face. The website is http://everydaydva.org.

I didn't really find too many answers on the bitcoin100.org about how the scheme works... so here are some questions. Sorry if there are answers on the forum but I find it fairly difficult to understand the scheme.

It is not a registered charity, but a bank account for the organisation is being set up. It is also based in the UK. Does this count as eligible? What other conditions are there? If bitcoin can help the organisation it would be amazing and could change the lives of the many silent and suffering victims of domestic violence, it would be totally amazing

Thanks

Alex

Discuss?

Damn, I wish it wasn't so new and was registered as an NPO there in the UK. Otherwise, on the overall surface it seems legit.
7054  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin 100: Developed Specifically for Non-Profits on: August 25, 2013, 06:33:45 PM
Maybe we can have a second donation address for the bitcoin100 where people can send money to be used to promote the Bitcoin100, and reserve the original donation address for money to give to charities?

If people want to spend money to promote Bitcoin100, why not just have them spend the money directly? I'm ok with holding even more money, but I'm not sure if there's a need for it...

If a bunch of people pitch in to buy an add spot that would do much more than their individual small amounts, which might not be enough to buy anything by themselves.

Exactly.  Plus its a good idea for a handful of people that know what they are doing to handle the promotional expenditure.  I will happily donate to Bitcoin100 altruistically.  On a completely separate front though, Bitcoins could really benefit from smart public relations efforts.  Bitcoin100 represents a great opportunity to gain sympathetic media attention.

As I'm sure many of us do, I have a vested interested in bitcoin's success.  As such, contributing to people that are strategic and know what their doing when publicly promoting the currency is high on my to-do list.  It helps everyone who has invested their time and money in bitcoin.

On the other hand, advertising and promoting and interfacing with media is a skill.  Plenty of advertisements accomplish the exact opposite of what they were intending because they are put out by those who don't understand how to influence people.  If we want it to be done effectively, it makes sense to get money into the hands of professionals for the purposes of promoting things like Bitcoin100.  We need good stories to counteract the bad ones (like the ones that equate bitcoin with drugs and criminals and child porn and money laundering, etc.) and Bitcoin100 is a good story that needs to be done right.

I will also happily donate to a bitcoin100 promotional fund if that's how you guys want to do it.  I'll even put you guys in touch with the best ad buyers and PR gurus in the world.  Maybe we can get them to do some of this promotion for free.  My main purpose though was to chime in and say that there is nothing wrong with advertising (and working every other possible angle) to maximize donations, as long as you're aiming to do good.

7059  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: August 25, 2013, 06:36:18 AM
Yes that is simple.  Did BFL ever promise in it's advertising any particular bitcoin pay back for buying the hardware?

I just wonder because that would expose them to a serious liability lawsuit.
I'd be surprised if they did.  I certainly wouldn't if I built mining hardware seeing as how many variables out of your control could change profitibility of your product, then again it is BFL so who knows.  If that was posted somewhere I'm sure someone will dig it up.

One side benefit of all this is I am a bit more aware of my rights as a consumer in certain situations due to all the postings of regulations and law.

Yes that is good. We need to take that one step further and work together and push these companies further and expect them to refund when requested or send in official complaints to the relevant authorities. Avalon or BFL both have exposure here legally and that is where we can apply pressure.

BFL = Shady.
I've haven't given BFL or Avalon any money, however I support whatever people can do to get bitcoin companies to behave in better interest of their customers.

The main reason we think you are Josh is that you obviously both suffer from the same condition.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissism

You have gall to start your CV with a statement about what you think your IQ might be based on your recollection of something that happened, presumably, 20+ years ago.  I don't even think public schools are capable of determining IQ's over about 130 with any degree of accuracy.  I won't press the mommy issues you described earlier in this thread though it would not surprise me if careful analysis of Josh's posts revealed the same.  You act like a child, just like Josh.

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck it is probably a narcissistic douche-bag named Josh.
Let me see... Narcissism... in love with his own image reflected in a pool of water.
Um, no, I'd rather stare at pretty women, thanks.  You must have me mistaken with k9.

While I did have my IQ tested when I was in like 7th or 8th grade, that wasn't what I was going by.  I was part of an evaluation done while I was in the Navy.  I'm pretty sure I can remember something that happened when I was 35 quite well.  And even if I didn't, I have a copy of the report in my service record.  I do have to admit though that I love how everyone thinks they are some sort of arm-chair Psychiatrist.  I am very secure in my life, I have no 'mommy' issues.  Your are starting to sound like k9 to me, are you sure you aren't his sock-puppet?  He too likes to take infintesimal little things out of context and blow them up to horrendous proportions.  Of course, maybe you are a sock-puppet of DrJoe as he loves to say people act like children.  You're not hyped up enough to be a sock-puppet of PG... or did you take a valium?  PG old friend... Is that you?

I have no sockpuppets, though I do have other accounts that are fully disclosed, though not used recently, Al the Alpaca being one them. I did have this Nikki the Bitch once... long story...

I honestly don't believe you are Josh, bud.

Later.
