Sorry bit late not sure I can join or not I have SuperBRU predictions for today match but the tournament Uefa predictor not ready yet if I'm  allowed I would be ready before tomorrow game.

Just fill it out and post the url and image it gives you here.

https://gaming.uefa.com/en/uefaeuro2020tournamentpredictor/main/view/5atHIFxbDs?ts=1623456685

I paid and filled out my picks on Superbru yesterday morning so thats all good, but I missed the deadline on the Uefa site (Thought only Superbru points counted and was to lazy to create account and fill out on Uefa right away, then later forgot about it).
From the Uefa FAQ: What happens if I miss the first matchday? If you start playing once the tournament kicks off, you can still save your predictions – you just won’t be able to score any points.

It was fun while it lasted  Roll Eyes

We'll just have to manually add up the points for those that missed the deadline.

5 mins to go. If you're thinking about playing just make sure you've got your scores filled in and you can join at a later date.

The UEFA match predictor (not the tournament predictor that everyone's posting here) is bugging me to fill in all my scores for match round 1. Does anyone know if all the matches in that round are going to lock at once when kickoff begins in a few hours or is it like Superbru's "lock as the matches begin" way?

Are we even using the match predictor here?  Huh

No. We're using the scores on superbru and the tournament predictor on the UEFA site.

Just add the points together.

Yes first come first served, they're already paid for so just take them! Send a pm to hilarious and tell him you are taking the free entry to get the links I suppose, just fill out the uefa prediction first as it's more time sensitive!

What about this guy:

Sent in 0.003BTC, one for me and two entries for whoever wants to join in but is on the fence (if you are new/never took part in these before, I'd prefer you to take it).

I was meaning to pay for the ETC mining guy but just saw that he already decided to pay in btc after all. SO! First come first serve on free entries (2x available)
Very generous of you to fund the pool and offer free entries for the community,Would love to take part and take one  entrie if its still available ? Lemme know so i can post my prediction
Thanks again.

You should just donate the extra as a bonus to the prize pool. It will cover fees at least.

Btw, I also haven't gotten the link to the Superbru pool, considering the first match will start in at least the next 10 hours.

I PMd you it.

They should carry over but I PMd you the link.

Thanks, joined. For anybody interested (or for future reference), it carried over my picks. Not sure if it would carry actual points if I joined tomorrow though. I guess it would.

They have done before.

Euro is starting today and we still don't have our Superbru pool, so if I place predictions in the general one it will transfer over when I join our, correct?

Sorry for the noob question, I participated in a few so far but was always already inside our pools before the competitions started.

They should carry over but I PMd you the link.

Well in case anyone is wondering how the UEFA looks like here is my prediction there:

https://ibb.co/bR6KcrW

You can link to them directly in the share my predictions bit. Here's mine: https://gaming.uefa.com/en/uefaeuro2020tournamentpredictor/main/view/9nLQyBrEXX?ts=1623064311

I will PM you all shortly but for those who want to play please send 0.001 to the following address:

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/bc1qgn6hd7uft872tqnt44qpxfux4jwq9xguetz93r

PM me the txid once you've done so and I will send you the link to join the pool on superbru. I will allow one week from now for you to pay so if you might not be able to source the funds right now just PM me about it. You can put your scores in now on superbru and you can be accepted into the pool later and your scores will carry over so just make sure your scores are in.

We will use superbru for scores but I think I will also combine it with the official UEFA tournament predictor as well: https://gaming.uefa.com/en/uefaeuro2020tournamentpredictor/main

I don't think you can create leagues there, but it gives you a link to share with your predictions and also an option to share them via an image and hopefully it updates with the points. It only takes only a minute or two or so to sign up and fill out but make sure you do them before the tournament starts as it won't let you change them after.
831  Other / Meta / Re: A question about unsolicited PMs on: June 08, 2021, 06:39:33 AM
Maybe it would be best to encourage people to just block users who PM them offers and only take action with bans if it's done en mass. I don't think people should be spamming users with offers but I also don't think someone should have to be worried about being banned just for sending one PM. It's really subjective to what is spam or not and I'm sure someone would be ok with a PM from me regrading certain things but not a Newbie etc. On at least one forum I've been on before they allow users to set a pre-message that is shown before you PM them and sometimes users have stated they don't want to receive unsolicited messages or offers about certain things and maybe that would be helpful here.

You can always pay later or just stick a little in a mobile wallet to send for the pool. I'd rather take everyone's money in at roughly the same time just in case the price suddenly fluctuates. I guess just keeping it to 0.001 is a nice enough number though. Can you hold on until tomorrow?
I haven’t been using my phone for about three years, so the installation of a mobile wallet is out of the question (besides, I don’t understand how exchange rate fluctuations can be related to given the fixed cost of the contribution in bitcoin). In addition, I can't tomorrow ... but I can do it later (I won't go into details, but I only have access to my wallet on weekends).

If bitcoin fell or rose by 50% then the payment would likely change. I'll allow people to pay up to a week or so after the tournament starts but those who don't can just be removed.

@hilariousandco, usually I participate in such tournaments on UEFA.com website, so I wouldn't be against using it for this pool. Though, I'm fine with Superbru too. Superbru advantage is that they send reminders if you forgot to leave pick. While UEFA.com predictor have some interesting things like underdog bonus or once per matchday you can use 2x booster which will double your points. Let's see what others think about it.
I like the goalscorers idea, but then we'd have to put predictions in only after seeing the lineups.
Yeah, they enable this prediction just 1 hour become the game, so, for lazy people it's not best thing because it gives some extra work for you before every game.

Well there's games almost every day if not every day for the group stages so you're going to have to be on point, but I guess we can stick with superbru for the scores and combine it with the UEFA tournament predictor which only requires you to input it once and only takes a minute to fill out.

22 users signed up so far.

What does everyone think of potentially using the official UEFA predictor website?

They have two. One where you predict how the teams will finish in the group stage and progress through the tournament and then another that is like superbru but you get extra points for things like which team scores first and what player scores first:

https://gaming.uefa.com/en/uefaeuro2020tournamentpredictor/
https://gaming.uefa.com/en/uefaeuro2020matchpredictor/

You can try the first one out without singing up so check it out. We could do both and combine the points at the end of it for the overall winner. Or use the regular superbru and then the tournament predictor and combine the points. I'd like to combine them in some capacity as I think it makes it a bit more interesting.

Donations aren't needed. Theymos has said the forum has enough funds, but if the forum ever needed them they could just add things like more banner ads or more donator VIP ranks etc.

Bump. Just under two weeks to the start of the tournament now. 18 people signed up so far. Let's try to get that to 20.

You counted Hhampuz's name twice in the OP.

Fixed it. We're still at 18 users then  Grin.

It's a grey and dicey area for sure but they're taken on a case by case basis. I'd generally urge people not to message people unless you know they're ok with receiving it but I know that's not something you can always know. I get PMs sometimes pointing me to things like free give away threads I might be interested in and that's fine by me but I also know some people have reported those same PMs as spam so you're walking a tight-rope when you send things like that.

Can he report me for sending unsolicited PMs, and am I breaking the rules?
Anyone can report anything, I assume the Admins use their own judgement.
They do, but IMO that's the problem with the rule--it's way too vague and the penalty for breaking it can be quite severe (up to a permaban if I'm not mistaken).

You're almost certainly not going to get a permaban unless you send phishing links or threats via pm.

It would be nice if either the rule was rewritten or was clarified by Theymos as to exactly what is and isn't acceptable, because as it stands it's almost as though he doesn't want anyone receiving a PM from anyone else unless it was "solicited".

But anything unwanted can be spam and there's no way you can put a set, definitive rule on it. Some people might be ok with receiving something whereas other's won't be.

By the way, can we arrange a small vote? I would prefer to increase the entry fee to at least 0.002 BTC.

I don't mind paying more but I've tried doing it before and a lot of people showed resistance. It will inevitably price some people out and I would rather have more playing than less.

I'm in!

I was waiting for this opportunity. Do you know when next year's EPL pool will be opened too?

I'll probably do it this week sometime but won't be taking payments in until nearer the start. Just keep an eye on either Games and Rounds and/or the PL Discussion thread.
