I just realized I've miscalculated their power. If we assume they are using S9 miners, then their hash power would be around 1500PH. For those who don't realize what this means I will only say that the current Bitcoin hashrate is about 2000PH...

I won't say its awesome. China will control Bitcoin mining even more...

I wrote you something.

Hmm... according to Peter Todd this farm would be as much as 75% of world's hashing power: https://twitter.com/petertoddbtc/status/793877455639498752

And Bitmain confirmed they are involved: https://twitter.com/BITMAINtech/status/794072384483442688

So, this is real...

@toptek

Can't you just sum up your opinion in one post, instead spamming us all?

Just using the ASIC miner s9 with 14TH/s and will consuming 1475 watt. this a new generation of the mining tools.

My calculations were based on the S9, but I thought its power consumption is 1375, not 1475 watt...

As far as I know, OneCoin was a Dr. Ruzha Ignatova's freak (I forgot what kind of a Doctor she was), but (as they say) she's not longer involved in it. There were a lot of articles full of red flags even in the Bulgarian press.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The World’s 1st Graphics Card Integrated Miner Is Shipping in November, 2016 on: November 03, 2016, 08:46:31 AM
It doesn't really matter what they're selling, it is how "they" are "presenting" it. If it is a simple "desktop" configuration with 34856345 GPU's in one rack, all configured (optimized (i.e. overclocked, miner conf)) on a decent price, then why no? I believe it has its niche. For example, I've built probably over 5000 new PC's alone (not to mention laptops and repairs). My record to built desktop PC is about 6 minutes, while everything is inside its box (case, mb, cpu, gpu etc.). But even I will probably buy such miner if its done well. Same goes for the mining part. I haven't used GPU's since April, 2014 and if I need to built a mining rig with several GPU's in it, then I'll need to google a lot of stuff, since I'm with kinda rusty knowledge in GPU/CPU mining.

That doesn't change the fact that there are a lot of red flags in this Panda mining thing...
829  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Have you seen the news about this mining farm? on: November 02, 2016, 03:34:06 PM
They are stating it would be ready by next month so I guess that its almost build. Anyways, can someone more familiar with the current ASICs try to estimate what would be their hash power? My best guess is about 150 PH, which is ~15% of the world's hashrate...

"Bit mainland Xinjiang cloud computing center, is expected to be completed in early December, 45 room, three internal filter, clean, with between storage and maintenance, the total size of 140,000 kilowatts" (Google translator used)

Geez,

Didn't knew this deserves investigation to prove its a scam. LEO and OneCoin has 1 thing in common: they are both BS.

@Spoetnik

I refrain myself to call out something scam, until I know more about it. And I think I found what I need:

Now since you worked so hard for this then can you also provide an option that if I bought your product then I could just plug it into my laptop with USB and a window opens then I install my miner and set it up and all good to go?

YES, very easy to operate.Just plug it into your laptop and few steps.More details will send to you if you bought our product.

Zoey (or whoever you are), this is a major red flag!

And cryptodevil (who happens to be a very smart guy):

Kinda weird that a company would leave something as crucial as registering their domain name so close to launching their new product, don't you think?

Well, I also call this a scam.

You are going to start shipping this month, yet there are no detailed specs/prices and even some pictures of the miners. Why?
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was the highest price sold for ZEC? on: November 01, 2016, 04:04:24 PM
I think that the exact price was 3299 BTC, but that doesn't really matter. What matters is that a certain group of whales is playing with the future of cryptocurrencies...

So for you the future of crypto-currencies lies in ZCash ? You're deceiving me that time. The sole future of crypto-currencies is Bitcoin.

You didn't get the message here. I was implying that speculations such as ZCash and pumping s*itcoins every now and then will only bring more regulations on cryptoworld's scene.

Only your beloved Viacoin can be compared with btc  Grin

Hehe. Smiley Indeed I like VIA much, but imho, btcdrak did some things wrong (and I did told him that many times). Now VIA has a different developer. It has a bright future if they market it good (and that's were btcdrak was mostly wrong).

P.S. My only beloved coin is FAIL, BTC is a cliche. Wink

ZCash will be a complete failure. The DAO will look like a joke compared with ZEC...
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zcash = major SCAM on: October 29, 2016, 03:09:33 PM
Fuck the zero-sum, its all heavily manipulated by several whales. Why do you think Ethereum, Monero and Dash are tanking? Because of ZCash. I was expecting a huge pump (https://twitter.com/bulgar1an/status/791970268768075777), but come on, this is not serious. I am genuinely scared about our future here...
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see what is happening with the altcoins prices? on: October 29, 2016, 02:44:26 PM
The recent decline in Ethereum, Monero and Dash has again proved that all of them are manipulated on Poloniex. ZCash has popped up and now its his turn. That would be probably the biggest balloon in history...
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see what is happening with the altcoins prices? on: October 29, 2016, 02:27:46 PM
There is something else. I did expected a HUGE pump on ZCash (https://twitter.com/bulgar1an/status/791970268768075777), but this is RIDICULOUS. ZEC has reached 3299 BTC per coin on Poloniex...
