Ok guys so it turns out every time I sell my coins, the price jumps up.
I sold at 12k and was hoping to get in at 10k but you can see what happened.
I'm just going to give up on trading. I'm not going to buy spreadcoins anymore, I'll just keep my 400 I have in my wallet on my PC and keep collecting coins from bounties.
Hopefully the price goes down to 0.00003000 again and then I'll buy.

Thank you, I will add you to the list. So we have 6 Fallback nodes now, they will serve as last resort for wallets who have trouble connecting and synching. Another 2 please... who is up to the job? One left. If e1ghtspace wants to take up the offer of a paid vps when he gets back to his pc, that's another one. If he can't , I'll set up another on vps tomorrow pm (sorry, can't get to it before). edit Just goes to show, need those $$ rewards to kick people into action. So, who here is running a full spreadcoin node?
And how many connections do you on average get?
Mine has about 50 connections ATM.
I'm happy to run a full SPR node. How do I do it?  1) You need a server with static IP (D'uh) Because I have a dynamic ip and if I leave my computer on all day I get 100+ connections. Keep in mind this was back when Mr. Spread was around. |

Looks like the spam filters are either working, or working too well. Sounds like the latter.
It most likely would have happened before the new server anyway, so I would say the former. It was either his ip address or his email address, and we have a lot of ips and email addresses banned.  Why? All fields were filled out correctly. You should also tell georgem your email address (only the ending @xxxxx.xxx) |

The idea for servicenodes is to create a platform for people to create things. All I see right now is us helping an old, clunky (40gb) service that we already have survive. So I guess this is just for the money.
The idea behind servicenodes is to "decentralize everything", not "create a platform for people to create things"... what do you even mean by that? -snip- Creating a decentralized search engine is too. You answered that yourself. By things I meant services. Spreadnodes are the nodes that host the services. I just realised that the bitcoin nodes aren't going to work. If you use 2 ips for one servicenode will you need to download two BBs (bitcoin blockchains)? Because if not, the nodes can just point the incoming connection to a different node and they will never need to download the BB. Actually there probably is a way. |

If we are going to do this service, even if its on trial for 3, 6, 12, 600 months, I guess it should have a project name, like all big and important projects   Project Atlas, anyone?  lol, and then maybe Kristov Atlas can be our speaksperson? But wait, there is an important distinction: Atlas had to carry the world on his shoulders as a punishment, but we are doing it voluntarily. So... That's why I start all projects with "spread the .... something" Spread some love once in a while, why not... Spread the nodes. Spread the punishment. No but seriously, how are the bitcoin nodes going to be validated? So basically the only reason we're doing this is for publicity? "Hey everyone, heres a servicenode service. We're going to help another coin that has less features than us survive, at the cost of 40GB of HDD space for everyone who wants to help" The idea for servicenodes is to create a platform for people to create things. would that create nodes?

What is the name of the dll file, I might be able to help. Most of the time I just google it and I find my answer. I guess you already tried that? |

no no my old man is a 71 year old comp science lecturer... I used to do drupal and graphic designing and so on, but I've gone back to Uni. to become a teacher instead. I prefer working with people, not computers... I mean, I need to communicate more with people...

Absolutely, it's just that we can't have servicenodes without atleast 1 service running on them, or else we can't have scores/kicking etc.... And all points to this: The first service is going to be the running / supervision of a full bitcoin node. Stay tuned. Are they going to be mixing coins, or no? |

think of it this way, its the first test version, at some point when we have more than 1 service for the service nodes, i think the best course will be to let the service nodes decide what services they want to offer, and what services not to offer....
+1 My take is that we see if the first servicenode launch can include an automated / easy way for node operators to have a full bitcoin node start-up. We have seen that bitcoin nodes can be tracked  Instead of starting out with a plan to verify if nodes are being closed down after they are launched, lets leave that as an issue that will be addressed at a future date. If people choose to shut down bitcoin nodes, then we can keep an audit account of IP addresses, and apply retrospective deductions in payments. ServiceNodes can ping each other and we can create an audit log of up time of addresses from bitnodes and servicenodes. The audit log does't have to be there at launch. At first the the payment deductions will not mean much, but as services grow so will the potential losses. I personally would not want to risk that for the sake of saving a few $ on hosting costs. This means we can launch at the end of May or start of June, with servicenodes and bitcoin full nodes. If people don't have a bitcoin full node service running (this can be part of the rating system, possibly) they will get fewer rewards, maybe skewed a little against them vs. what other nodes get? I personally hate the idea of having to run a bitcoin full node. I really don't want to download 20GB. Please don't implement this idea. I don't see how a masternode can verify the servicenode's chain anyway. They can always steal the information from a website. |

Wait, we're actually going through with this??? I thought it was just someone's idea. Looks like its just under investigation. If it could be done, SPR would get so much publicity out of it it's not funny. An altcoin supporting Bitoin? The price of servicenodes would go through the roof. But then if Bitcoin implements those features & users get rewarded for having Servicenodes/Masternodes then the price of BTC would drop considerably since inflation will increase due to more coins being created quicker without mining. A lot of people have stored up big on Bitcoin so I wouldn't be surprised if those kinds of people would abuse the system, then a fix would have to be issued etc, etc. To be honest Bitcoin is fine the way it is, I don't see any coins even worth $5-$30 each these days. Litecoin was the only coin to even gain that much momentum but the ever ongoing fad in the crypto scene is the traders as you can't control them, Buy Low, Sell High, Rinse & Repeat, that is how the game is played until they move onto the next coin as nobody wants to mine outdated things apparently. Or I misunderstanding the whole situation ? On another note wouldn't that still be technically PoS but only earnable through Servicenodes/Masternodes ?
