Although I feel sorry for those who have lost money, as has been said many times pools are not banks, set an auto withdrawl to an amount you can afford to lose.  Even though 50btc didn't pay out automatically on a threshold I had payments set to run every hour.

Personally I didn't lose anything, when it became apparent they had been ripping off users by rounding down the share payments I left as it told me all I needed to know about the honesty of the pool ops.

Finally it's interesting to see some of those complaining about being ripped off have been good enough to post screenshots of themselves trying to rip off the pool by attempting to withdraw coins that weren't theirs.

Did these come with pcie sockets for the power?

They really should but they don't, you have to butcher your cables.

824  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner Setup Guide for Dummies 101 on: November 24, 2013, 03:20:42 PM
i have a router on 192.168.1.1, should i set that as the gateway, or must it be 192.168.2.1 on the antminer? (and/or on the router?)

It sounds similar to setting up an avalon.

Change your laptop's ip/gateway to match the antminer, then you can log in to when directly connected with ethernet cable.

Once there you can change the antminer to your 192.168.1.x, connect it to your router, put your laptop back and everything will be on the same network

826  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 3x GPU Mining Rigs (UK ONLY) on: November 23, 2013, 07:25:29 PM
uk only? shiping spain?
price?

Sorry, don't really want to get involved with the hassle of shipping whole rigs especially overseas, so uk only.

Price wise I'm open to offers, the GPU's seem to be going for around £150 each second hand on ebay, so I'd be looking at that plus whatever people feel the rest of the parts are worth.
827  Other / Meta / Re: How to get my incorrect trust rating removed ? on: November 23, 2013, 04:45:58 PM
The trust system on here is fucked.

I've posted in the past that someone can have 50 negative ratings but appear as trust 0 to most users. Now with this episode I agree with your assessment Smiley
828  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 3x GPU Mining Rigs (UK ONLY) on: November 23, 2013, 03:28:20 PM
Before I split these and sell off on ebay thought I would see if anyone wants to buy them complete.

All parts are less than 6 months old, they were mining scrypt coins and were undervolted and run in an air conditioned room, cards never went over 70c.

Rig 1
ASRock FM2A85X Extreme 6 Motherboard
AMD A4 5300 3.4Ghz Processor
Kingston Hyper X Genesis DDR3 1600Mhz Ram 8GB
3x MSI 7950 Twin Frozr GPU's
Corsair HX850 PSU
Riser cables
Mounted in home made wooden crate

Rig 2
ASRock FM2A85X Extreme 6 Motherboard
AMD A4 5300 3.4Ghz Processor
Kingston Hyper X Genesis DDR3 1600Mhz Ram 8GB
3x MSI 7950 Twin Frozr GPU's
Corsair HX850 PSU
Riser cables
Mounted in home made wooden crate

Rig 3
ASRock FM2A85X Extreme 6 Motherboard
AMD A4 5300 3.4Ghz Processor
Kingston Hyper X Genesis DDR3 1600Mhz Ram 8GB
2x MSI 7950 Twin Frozr GPU's
NO PSU

The GPU's have their original boxes and all accessories (including some game voucher cards)

Can throw in the hard discs but would need to wipe them first

Would prefer BTC, but Cash or BACS transfer is acceptable too.

Would be very awkward to post out so easiest would be to come and view, pay and then take away or happy to meet halfway if we are far apart (I’m in Lancashire)

Current new prices for the parts are below to give you an idea, post or PM your offers the more you want the better the deal will be

Motherboard (£76.70, Amazon)
Processor (£34.48, Amazon)
Memory (£61.88, Amazon)
GPU (£245, Dabs)
PSU (£130)
829  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] BITMAIN launch first batch AntMiner S1-180GH/s 360W on wall on: November 22, 2013, 12:03:03 PM
however - is it fair that some winning bids are 4.75 and others are 5.00? My impression was that in a situation like that, the winning bids should be all considered 4.75?

Normally you pay what you bid but BITMAIN said everyone would pay the lowest succesfull bid so yhey are all 4.75, confirmed here...

So the price of units will be 4.75 BTC, and this is the winning bids. Thank you very much!
830  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: November 21, 2013, 10:26:09 PM
I was eagerly looking forward to this and hoping it would be priced with a reasonable chance of ROI.

The problem with running an auction for the first machines (as happened with asicminer) is that there are enough people who don't care about ROI and just want to have new equipment that the price ends up being way too high.

The manufacturer then sees that people will pay $4500 for it and prices it accordingly.
831  Other / Meta / Re: How to get my incorrect trust rating removed ? on: November 21, 2013, 10:20:38 PM
I'm 100% sure they are the same scammers behind these accounts

I can see that happening, but in this case they left the real scammer the same feedback. If it was the scammer using another account then he'd be unlikely to leave himself bad feedback.

Also, if they don't investigate then they wouldn't see those ratings as they are from untrusted people (nobody has scammers in their trust list, well, except TF of course)

What I mean is, they get as far as clicking on 'show untrusted feedback' but fail to investigate further and see that it's bogus.
832  Other / Meta / Re: How to get my incorrect trust rating removed ? on: November 21, 2013, 10:00:40 PM
So my reputation is permanently tarnished because some idiot clicked on the wrong person, what a great system Sad
You warned about his scam
I'm pretty sure you were exactly the person he wanted to neg-rate

But it wasn't the scammer that left the feedback, it looks like a user that fell for it.

Looks like another user who I've had no dealings with has taken the opportunity to further abuse the trust system and wind me up, fucking ridiculous

Not quite. If people investigate about you, they'll just discard this useless rating.

And what if they don't investigate.  What if I decide I want to buy something and all they do is see that I allegedly scammed someone (now multiple people)

Public confirmation that I have received payment.
834  Other / Meta / Re: How to get my incorrect trust rating removed ? on: November 21, 2013, 09:32:08 PM
it will work out buddy. keep this thread alive and a mod will see it. ive had bogus feedback removed by a mod

Thanks I hope so too.

I can understand the mods not wanting to get involved when there are two sides to the story, but I hope they see this as a clear cut case of incorrect feedback and remove it.
835  Other / Meta / Re: How to get my incorrect trust rating removed ? on: November 21, 2013, 01:54:33 PM
Talk to the person who left them and ask them to remove the rating, that is the only way it will get removed.

I tried that, looks like they left the feedback and haven't been back since.

So my reputation is permanently tarnished because some idiot clicked on the wrong person, what a great system Sad
836  Other / Meta / How to get my incorrect trust rating removed ? on: November 21, 2013, 11:42:11 AM
Just happened to glance at my trust page, and noticed someone I've never heard of has left me negative trust saying I cost them $6600

Looking at their page and their ratings it appears they meant to leave it to a user called desto

desto was running the scam in this thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=318582.0

I posted in the thread twice, both times warning people, and I end up being neg'd which is bloody annoying.

Most is overpriced but then all asic hardware is.

I'd be tempted buy the UK jupiter, but not sending 22 BTC to a new website when there is so little information.

I understand the desire to keep all the listings the same size, but when you click on one, it should provide more info, ie real photos of the unit, pictures of it hashing, location, would the buyer allow payment on collection etc etc

Multiple people have bought and paid for the same miners

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=326833.0

Be very careful

839  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: November 19, 2013, 09:04:44 PM
Thanks, I WILL be taking any and all offers for witness testimony, I requested a refund and cancellation of my order that was denied, this violated my state laws as well as FTC guidelines, also researching on other laws they have broken.  PM me

I wouldn't waste too much time gathering evidence, BFL will just string it out until the last moment then settle, no way are they going to appear in court and set a precedent.
840  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Mining]Avalon Reselling and Hosting Plan on: November 19, 2013, 04:21:48 PM
If the Avalon people had the same ethics and honor as HorseRider, we'd be celebrating our prosperity right now.

Are you being sarcastic ?

Although avalon messed up, the people invloved in this group buy have lost a fortune because HorseRider without consultation chose NOT to accept the refund that avalon offered.
